The Morning Report — 1/24/24

slimyhaleydixville.jpg

Good morning, kids. Despite Fox News calling the race for Nikki Haley a wee bit early (three weeks ago), Donald Trump cruised to an easy victory. Even the approximately 55%-45% total, which in and of itself is indicative of a clear, impressive win is deceptive, as per XiNN exit polling 70% of those who voted for the dusky, devious Democrat doppelgänger were not registered Republicans.

Even John Cornyn, a fellow traveler on the globalist RINO stooge medicine show has told her that she should get out bet behind Trump. Of course, this crooked pole-smoker will gladly and eagerly sabotage anything and everything Trump will attempt to do if he does indeed survive the next 11 months as well as beats the cheat, but that goes without saying. Meh, I think he and all the other anti-Americans have not learned their lesson form 2016 and want Trump as their opponent. The cheat as well as the kangaroo court actions notwithstanding (and those are biggies) they are bound and determined to prove the definition of insanity.

Michael Goodwin, who while not suffering TDS was never a fan, has one of the better analyses of last night and the race in general. And for his second column in a row, despite trying to put lipstick on the figurative and literal pig that is Haley, it's minus any swipes at the Donald.

. . .while she promises to soldier on, the results so far suggest that neither she, DeSantis, nor a half-dozen other Republicans who sought the nomination ever had a good chance of success. Instead, it appears to me more likely that Trump would have won no matter who challenged him, how much money they raised or how well they ran their campaigns.

That conclusion reflects the former president’s victories in Iowa and New Hampshire as well as his prospects ahead. Incredibly, polls in the next 10 states on the GOP calendar all show him with a lead of at least 30 points, including Haley’s home state of South Carolina. The upshot is that rather than searching for the whys of the other candidates’ defeats, we should instead come to grips with why Trump could prove to be unbeatable in the primaries and why he has a real chance of winning the White House a second time.

The short answer is that we are witnessing a durable political movement unlike any seen in modern America. The part of the electorate that hates Trump really, really hates him, yet it is matched in size and intensity by those who see him as the last, best hope. Without that enormous well of support, he would have been crushed by the coordinated onslaught against him. And yet that same onslaught, much of it the result of unfair media coverage and partisan actions that shattered political norms, also played a major role in his revival. So did the mistakes of Trump’s Republican opponents, all of whom misjudged his hold on the party and its most faithful voters. One example: he has won a majority in each of the first two states. . .

. . . As if [the Russia collusion hoax, impeachments and kangaroo court prosecutions] weren’t enough to bring Trump’s political corpse back to life, Biden did the rest by proving day after day that he was not fit for the Oval Office. . . [Biden] was and is, quite simply, a terrible president, arguably the worst ever. From his bumbling, befuddled appearances to his enormous policy failures that are helping spark domestic and global tensions, he managed to boost the case for the man he had soundly defeated. Because many of Biden’s key failures are in areas where Trump had succeeded, including the economy, controlling inflation and achieving border security and peace abroad, voters have a handy comparison that tilts in Trump’s favor.

There is only one reason for Haley to stay in the race. To slime Trump and make him waste time, effort and most of all money in battling her instead of focusing on Biden and/or whoever the Democrats might replace him with. This is neither delusion nor ego. This is pure political calculus and backstabbing. If you needed any proof of her utter lack of character and her true allegiances, this is proof positive.

In any case, I don't think it's going to work. The only thing the Democrats have is fear mongering on abortion. Even if every shrill shrieking shrewish Karen gets the urge to shout their abortions and Roe, Roe, Roe the vote, the tidal wave of abject disaster as represented by Biden's intentional multi-million-migrant invasion and erasure of our border will swamp that big time.

And speaking of which, back to the border we go where, despite Julia Roberts and Amy Coney Island siding with the hack leftists, Governor Greg Abbott shows he's got spine and is on a roll (that goes out to Buck Throckmorton!)

The Texas National Guard continued to install razor wire along the U.S.-Mexico border on Tuesday after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Biden [junta] could cut through or remove the razor wire.

“The Texas Military Department continues to hold the line in Shelby Park to deter and prevent unlawful entry into the State of Texas,” Texas said in a statement. “We remain resolute in our actions to secure our border, preserve the rule of law, and protect the sovereignty of our State.”

The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 on Monday in favor of the Biden [junta]. The order said that Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Samuel Alito, Justice Neil Gorsuch, and Justice Brett Kavanaugh all would have denied the Biden administration’s request.

Images emerged on Tuesday showing the state of Texas doubling down on its efforts to stop [fraudulent] President Joe Biden’s illegal immigration crisis by continuing to lay razor wire along the border. “The Texas National Guard continues to hold the line in Eagle Pass,” said Governor Greg Abbott. “Texas will not back down from our efforts to secure the border in Biden’s absence.”

“The logical concern should be why the Federal Government continues to hinder Texas’ ability to protect its border, all while allowing for the exploitation, dangerous, & inhumane methods of permitting illegal immigrants, including children, to illegally cross a dangerous river where many have lost their lives. Texas is the only state using every strategy & resource to protect its sovereignty, combat criminal activity, & discourage illegal immigration. #Texas will continue to hold the line.”

THIS. It will be interesting to see how Biden's handlers react to this. It used to be that Obama would issue some sort of bullshit executive order and while we were playing with ourselves via the courts, he'd be laughing his ass off and playing "catch me if you can!" By the time a case made it, it was either dismissed, ruled in Obama's favor, or a decision made moot since the damage the order created was too deeply ingrained to reverse. And then it was the usual "Wait until we win both chambers of Congress and the White House, and then we'll really fix them! Please send donations to . . ." Lather, rinse, repeat. Recall that between 1/20/2017 and 1/20/19 we not only had both chambers but we were populating the lower courts with supposedly conservative judges and would wind up with 3 more on SCOTUS. How'd that work out for us?

That why I am cheering on Abbott because what he's doing is huge and is hopefully a shot across the bow if not a rhetorical redux of The Shot Heard Round the World (and I don't mean Bobby Thompson off of Ralph Branca), not just in terms of the border and immigration but on every other aspect of our lives that an overbearing, overreaching, feral, and frankly illegitimate bureaucracy and/or tyrannical edicts via executive order or a rubber stamp mockery of a corrupted judiciary will impose on us.

And with all the constant sturm und drang with the border, the election, the Middle East and everywhere else where tyranny is on the march and good people are trying to fight back, shit like this which is part and parcel of the corruption that all of us here are railing against risks getting lost in the sauce. But it's just as crucial as all the rest.

“Nothing about the crimes of conviction was of defendants’ own making,” Judge McMahon wrote in her opinion. The “real lead conspirator” in the case “was the United States,” she continued.

FBI informant Shahed Hussain roped Cromitie and three other black Muslims, already released, into the plot. “The FBI invented the conspiracy, identified the targets, manufactured the ordnance,” McMahon noted. The agency “federalized what would otherwise have been a state crime by driving three of the four men into Connecticut… and picked the day for the ‘mission,’” she wrote.

While McMahon branded Cromitie’s anti-Semitism and agreement to take part in terror attacks “heinous,” she stressed “he could never have dreamed up” the plot on his own. Authorities have been accused of using similar tactics against right-wingers. Efforts to convict a group involved in a plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer were dogged by mistrials and acquittals after defense lawyers argued federal informants enticed the defendants into the conspiracy.

Ah yes, the FBI. Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity. And if you believe that, I have a couple of pipe bombs I can let you have real cheap! Not to worry; they were bought second hand from Industrial Light & Magic, not the Muslim kid who made that clock for his science project.

The video footage, shot on January 6 by a camera installed across the street from the pertinent events, shows two SUVs parked right next to the DNC bench near which one of the pipe bombs was found. One SUV belongs to the D.C. cops, and one to the Secret Service. According to Beattie, they were working jointly on security that day.

In the video, we see a man wearing a backpack appear on the lower right side of the screen. Walking at a leisurely pace, he approaches the D.C. police, leans into the driver’s side window, and talks to someone. This is the moment, says Beattie, when he informed the police that he’d seen a pipe bomb. By the way, as this Blaze video shows, that man with the backpack was almost certainly a Capitol police officer.

Backpack Guy leisurely strolls off-camera, and the Capitol Police and Secret Service remain in their vehicles. Then:

Instead, a minute or so goes by while nothing happens. Then, police officers and Secret Service agents emerge at a leisurely pace from the SUVs and kind of stand around. A group of school children walks within feet of what law enforcement has been told is a pipe bomb, and the officers and agents do nothing at all. One of them eventually walks over and takes a photo of the pipe that may be a bomb. Only later does a robot defuse it.

What’s certain is the Capital Police and Secret Service didn’t do the bare basics required in response to a bomb threat, to say nothing about a confirmed explosive device. This is all the odder in that they were there that day to protect Kamala Harris, who was days away from being sworn in as Vice President. She was in the building.

What’s even more interesting is Beattie, while on to something, doesn’t quite apprehend exactly what he’s found. Why should he? He’s a journalist, and apparently a good one, but he’s not a cop. He doesn’t think like them, have their instincts, or know their protocols.

What's even more interesting is that three years on, the FBI has yet to make any arrests. This after using every sort of high-tech resource available to create a national dragnet in the hopes of ensnaring anyone who was anywhere near the Capitol on 1/6/21 to charge them with insurrection and ruin their lives. It's almost as if these bombs were part of a plot to fake an insurrection and then let the Deep State run with that.

Nah. That's crazy talk.

19 As David Horowitz frequently reminded us, sixties radicals preached that, “the issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.”

Individual causes, environmentalism, LGBTQ rights, Gaza, Iraq, income inequality, unions, Wall Street, abortion or criminals, are just gateway drugs to radicalize a base for the leftist revolution.

The answer is always totalitarian socialism.

72 Pause and think for a moment about what Trump’s been able to accomplish. First he beat Hillary and then he exposed the deep state ripping off so many masks in the process I’ve lost count. Now despite an all out assault on him from every single power center in the country he will easily waltz to the GOP nomination and will probably win back the presidency he was cheated out of (unless Dems decide to cheat even more blatantly this time around). As far as I’m concerned he’s a world historical figure on par already with Ronaldus Magnus (BTW…. Ron had his flaws also back in the day but republicans didn’t spend lots of time whining about those flaws, unlike current day republicans and their whining about Trump’s flaws)

I suspect - now - that this was yet another vein of the comprehensive plan to further the American coup that never needed to be tapped. Who knows how many back-up plans were in motion to throw the 2020 vote? Just put this plot in the Pile of Now Known Plans as opposed to the Not Yet Discovered Plans that Deep State had to "fortify" the election.

At this point I hope both Biden AND Trump have really, really good security details because TPTB are, I think, in an extremely vulnerable position to denying the upsetting of a helluvan apple cart in November.

And not one (R) that I know of is pointing out how this provides for more freedom for individuals.

Imagine if the SCOTUS ruled that the 2nd Amendment meant "shall not be infringed" and states then had the responsibility of deciding how to handle class III stuff.

But that's somehow less freedom.

135 SCOTUS ruling on Texas razorwire may not be as bad as you think. The Fifth Circuit granted an injunction against the Bidens that SCOTUS lifted. There's a high bar to getting an injunction. The case will proceed on the merits.

We think it's possible that Texas will win the case on the merits. We expect to, possibly, hear the case in 3-4 years. In the meantime, it would be terrible if we didn't permit 7-8 million unknown individuals into the country.

Maybe it's just me but that seems pretty bad.

Wiki:

The term "razor wire", through long usage, has generally been used to describe barbed tape products. Razor wire is much sharper than the standard barbed wire; it is named after its appearance but is not razor sharp. The points are very sharp and made to rip and snag clothing and flesh.

I've seen on recent video it snag a border trespassers clothing and they break free in seconds. Like all metals of that variety after exposure to elements it becomes less sharp but still able to snag clothing.

If so called protesters didn't commiserate with the 'melee', then the pipe bombs were 'to be found' while the VP-elect was in the DNC. The key point is that the 'melee' was used to close the current session and then reopen under different rules that didn't allow motions of any kind. Hence, JoeBama was seated. False on its face. People age differently. I know people in their 60s who can barely function and some in their 80s as sharp as tacks. Trump is total command of himself.

So you are saying that the "discovery" had to be properly timed?

So was it running with 20 minutes left?

Then who set the timer initially?

Posted by: pawn at January 24, 2024 08:45 AM

We know that at least one of the 'bombs' was placed the night before. My assumption is that both were set by the same individual on the night before under cover of darkness. Obviously a 60 minute timer would have run out before midnight on J5. For the timer to have 20 minutes on it is obvious bullshit and points to collusion between the person who set the 'bombs' and the person who discovered.

The person who discovered the 'bomb' at 20 minutes before the 1 pm Senate event with 20 minutes left on the timer? Consider that for a minute.

Pretty sure that they "lost"/mistakenly destroyed the cell phone data from the bomb zones, which could've easily been used to identify who was in the areas the *airquotes* bombs were placed at the time they were placed. This is the exact same cell phone data they are still using to identify who was near the Capitol on 1/6.

How very conveeeeeeenient! Can't ID the bombers nor the numerous undercovers in the area the day before the event.

Age and health are important factors. Now, not all humans age the same. Trump v Biden are PERFECT examples of that.

Trump can still climb stairs, play a round of golf, stand behind a podium and have clear, concise conversation for an hour, reading a teleprompter and adlibbing without issue.

Biden, not so much.

216 Have to disagree with the meme above that "Haley has flamed out." If she had only garnered 20-25% of the vote in NH, then yes, that would have sunk her. But pulling second place in the 40s still keeps her viable.

Living in NH - a purple state, and a purple to blue town. With absolutely no functional GOP party locally, or at the county level. I saw no Haley signs anywhere. Quite a few "Write In Biden" signs. Nobody standing outside of the polls for the Republicans. 3 different people were there for the Dems.

Haley did as well as she did because of the open primary that exists in NH. Next up is SC - her home state. She is committed to competing there where she will ultimately be clubbed like a baby seal. Trump has the momentum, she doesn't. She admitted last night she aligns with many of Trump's policies, but.... Why get Trump "lite"?

Even if Biden got all 77,000 Dem primary voters in November (which is doubtful) Biden would still have to get 70% or more of Haley’s voters just to make it 50-50. I don't know why people keep droning on about the cheat as if they are the first to discover it. Yes, they will cheat. I've been saying that all along. But this isn't 2020 and things are vastly different.

Trump was never leading Biden in the RCP in 2020. He's been leading him in the RCP by months and his lead is growing. And there are no mass mail in votes this year. The trial in GA over electric voting machines might even make them illegal in GA this year. If not they have opened a lot of eyes.

Cheating can only overcome a small lead when it is plausible. Biden is doing his part to be the worst, most unlikable president since Carter. Maybe longer. The entire country is aware of the cheat now and people are paying attention. Nobody is going to believe Biden beat Trump if he isn't at least tied in the polling and he isn't close.

413 We know without a doubt there were instigators in the crowd and Epps and Pipe Bomb Planters.

A blanket pardon would've allowed one of the company men to go and assassinate a judge or some other whatever and then blame Trump directly. They can identify a Trump supporter by his earlobe in one frame of one video and fly to Arkansas to SWAT him at 6am but gosh, would you look at that, they still haven't found the Pipe Bomb Planter.

It's not too difficult to see how that plays out.

Blanket pardon - like for draft dodgers.

I have no idea what the statute of limitations on treason is. I'm guessing it's decently long.

I've already made the case in #413 why blanket pardons would've been a stupid idea from the get-go, but I'm fine holding out for justice for anyone that engaged in the color revolution against the republic, too.

445 GM, all, and thank you, J.J.

Found a very interesting Atlantic Council article, New Atlanticist, Jan. 12, 2024, "Five questions and answers about South Africa's genocide case against Israel."

In small part, "...It claims that Israel has committed and failed to prevent genocidal acts, including killings, serious bodily and mental harm, and imposing conditions "intended to bring about the destruction of a substantial part of the Palestinian national, racial and ethnical group, that being the part of the Palestinian group in the Gaza Strip."
And, "More for the public than for the court, which understands this point well, South Africa's legal team explained that they are not bringing a case against Hamas because it is not a state and thus cannot be a party of the Genocide Convention, nor can it be brought before the ICJ..."

So Hama & ISIS - among so many other similar (Antifa?) worldwide groups/organizations - are stateless, not a majority in any state nation. As a whole, they get away with terrorism, murder. Why are they supported by certain mainstream others? Psychology: Friendly, collaborative contact that forms a mutually beneficial relationship. Until.

One example, 1 billion can't access electricity.
Now take all the others...
What is the global electrical generating capacity?
How much of that is all ready being used (e.g. lighting, factories, homes)?
How much of that is consistent (e.g., not wind or solar)?
Can the power distribution grid handle the load?
Pretty soon, you're down to 100 million or less.

453 I've noticed something. The minute the cold reality of January 2025 is pointed out to people that think Trump is so potent that he can impregnate women that stand downwind from him, they IMMEDIATELY retreat into some pseudo-Calvinist "The cheat is in anyway" narrative.

You can't have it both ways and simply say "Which R do you support?" The answer is of course "any of them," but that's secondary to everything.

Trump's gonna jam his mushroom-member into crucial Senate races and demand the kind of fealty he seems to get from Tim Scott (which is absolutely demoralizing), and of they don't kiss the ring, Trump will sabotage their chances.

Trump called Desantis a pedo--and STILL got his dick sucked with an endorsement.
