J6 Witness: General Milley Was the Hidden Hand Holding Back the National Guard on January 6th

Surprise! It was another Op.

The colonel and Army lawyer challenging the Army's official narrative of the events and leadership decisions during the Capitol Hill protests on Jan. 6, 2021--a narrative relied upon by the Colorado Supreme Court when it struck President Donald J. Trump from the ballot -- told RedState then-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley was the black hand operating outside his legal authority to delay the District of Columbia National Guard from responding the protests that day.

"Milley is the Don Barzini of the Deep State," said Col. Earl G. Matthews, the Harvard Law School graduate, who was the senior legal advisor to Maj. Gen. William J. Walker, the D.C. National Guard's commanding general from March 2018 through April 2021.

"He's the most powerful chairman of the joint chiefs in history," Matthews said. "It was Milley all along, and I didn't realize it. Milley was manipulating this entire stuff from point start."

The former Guardsman, now serving in the Army Reserve, said that as the joint chiefs chairman, Milley had no legal role in the chain of command; he was simply the president's senior military advisor. However, Milley leveraged his staff in the Pentagon and exploited his relationships with other generals he mentored and favored for promotion so that he ran the Army as his own feudal possession.

"Milley controlled the Army," Matthews said.

"The problem was not with Donald Trump; it's Mark Milley and the Army leadership in control. They stopped the Guard from coming then lied about it and said the Guard acted at sprint speed," he said.

He alleges that Milley and his loyalists illegally destroyed records to claim that they were never asked to intervene on January 6th:

One prime example is McCarthy's testimony that he tried Jan. 6, 2021, to call Walker to talk to him about mobilizing his Guardsmen at 4:35 and 5 p.m., which was relied upon by Professor William C. Banks in his testimony at the Colorado court proceedings that led to Trump's removal from the state's primary ballot, he said.

Matthews said Walker turned over his phone to prove McCarthy did not call him.

"The Army lied about it. Walker actually pulled the phone calls," he said. "McCarthy didn't have any record of the call, so those calls didn't exist."

And for this, they have used it as an excuse to oppress the people.

I mean...I feel like there's some kind of historical parallel here. Probably something big. Perhaps something involving fire...

I don't understand this. What does "pulled the phone calls" mean? He deleted the calls from his phone?

All of these guys have office phones and aides with phones. If they each used one of their aide's phones to call each other, "turning over" a phone doesn't mean squat. They need the phone company records of all the phones in their orbit to prove a call happened or didn't happen.

The CO decision is textbook Democrat thinking.

I think this. This other thing is consistent with that. There fore I conclude that and other things consistent with what I think.

Nobody has even found "insurrection" other than by siting that it fits a *dictionary* definition--even if the Constitution is not simply the Dictionary. And also, you cannot describe Jan-6 as an insurrection in a way that the Floyd riots were not--especially the attempts to burn down the courthouse in Portland and *chiefly* the burning down of Precinct 5 in Minneapolis.

Like many of us (not anymore), Trump was naive to the absolute hatred the left has for America and would do anything to bring it down.

This is really exhausting. Where do you get your information from?

What do you think Jan 6th was?

The crowds was bullshit and misdemeanor bullshit that is silly except in one important regard I will touch on.

The actual problem was in Trump and his people actively plotting and planning to elect an alternative slate of electors that weren't democratically elected and not reflective of the federal result of the election. They went as far as to talk about chartering private flights to get the paperwork in DC by the certification from WI in one instance. The crowds of people were just idiots that were, honestly, useful idiots who created chaos to disrupt the proceedings of Congress as to allow Pence to verify this alternative, non-democratically allowed slate of electors that would vote for Trump against the will of the people.

SCOTUS does not want to make a decision *at all.* They don't want to touch this. They don't want to deal with it. They want to remain silent. That point - charging and conviction - is a major point that CO argues is irrelevant. That *must* be addressed, and SCOTUS doesn't want to.

No, it doesn't.

But the top 50-100 leadership in each service can be asked to resign or retire. And then if not demoted to Colonel.

That should solve most of the problem right away, then you tell the new leadership you have 30 days to unravel all DEI activities, very broadly defined, or you're next. Your call on whether those doing it can be re-assigned an infantry combat unit (comparable dangerous duty in the other services) or need to be riffed out.

This is very easy.

There's a constitutional argument that the president has the right to cut executive things he considers to be unconstitutional. Jefferson almost did it when he became president and he was faced with what to do with the Alien and Seditions Acts.

He chose to simply let them expire, but there was talk that he had the authority to simply declare them as unconstitutional and pull them from the federal register.

I kind of wish he had done it, making it precedent. Relying on SCOTUS as the only one to declare things unconstitutional is a flawed system that is too reliant on outside factors. I think there needs to be more initiative for the federal government to declare its own powers as null and void.

Not exactly the argument think you want to make.

*Everything* the pro-Trump side did was *advised* in his widely-circulated book I found on the web about the Trump-resistance! Everything.

It was all about how to fight Trump's claim: First of all Trump WAS NOT going to win the election...but IF HE *CHEATED* and somehow claimed it and somehow states swung for him... and it goes right down to the alternative slates--which the book said "you can do"! And the final decision on the House floor!

There is NOTHING that pro-Trumpers have claimed and tried to do after the election that this book didn't ADVISE as a measure to STOP TRUMP. Explaining that the House vote might be the only thing that has to go their way in the end.

Remember billionaires put money into coordinated efforts to STOP TRUMP. Also, Jeff Toobin was in a "Wargaming" session when he was caught whacking on camera. (cont)

____

IIRC, if Congress disputes a slate of electors, the state legislature votes on which slate will be sent for certification. A check on the electoral college, implied as a check on voting shenanigans. Which, I guess we're not allowed to use anymore. Unless the Dems want to.

All assets owned by any illegal are seized.

All illegals are dumped on the Mexican side of the border.

Anyone knowingly employing an illegal or giving them federal, state, or local aid gets a year in jail and a 100K fine per incident.

Any citizen that provides evidence leading to the conviction of someone employeeing an illegal or giving them federal, state, or local aid gets a 10K bounty.

Texas really has to play whack-a-mole with these people.

I didn't like it when I read it, and I wasn't pleased when it was Giuliani leading Trump down that road, either.

But it's all *legal*.

Why would the Constitution make provisions for a joint session to decide the President by a floor vote if it was *illegal*?

In point of fact, what Trump did does not materially differ from what Hillary did in 2016, what Kerry did in 2004, or what Gore did in 2000. By the way Hillary supporters crashing meetings and trying to intimidate Electors into voting for her was a bigger crime than anything the J6 sight seeing people did in the Capitol.

The story doesn't dispute what I said. It simply states that there were several "faithless electors" who didn't follow the state's votes. Nixon ignored them and declared Kennedy the winner.

That's some damn fine logic right there."
---------------------------------------------------------

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. Clean up the RNC, get a strong campaign and candidate, understand the rules of ballot mailing have changed and adapt.

Here, for those unable to think about what *could* happen, let's give an example.

2022. Red Wave, nowhere to be found.. but..

Florida, this guy wins by 20 points, election in the 3rd (?) ost populous state called within an hour. That's how to do it.

The fact that more people voted against Trump in 2020 and he lost to a old cripple that never left the basement is an embarassement. And it's going to happen again.

289 I have a better strategy though; try winning again. Unlike 2018, 2020, 2022, get it? Like candidates which win and win big.
Posted by: TheInverseAgonist at January 12, 2024 02:12 PM (AVPtn)

Trump won. He won in 2016 and he won in 2020 by an even bigger margin.

FL went from purple to red because DeSantis, using his powers as governor of FL, cleaned up Broward County.

Now, how does DeSantis manage that in GA or PA or MI within the next 10 months? Especially since he's, you know, not governor of any of those states?

Mind you, Trump isn't going to do it either. I'm just curious how these states clean up their elections based on wishes of people who are not in power in those states.

I don't trust what any politician says. But their actions are evidence as to effectiveness.

Trump's 4 years of promises were basically all unfulfilled.
DeSantis's term was the exact opposite.

In terms of executive ability and output as a leader, there is little comparison if we're looking at the evidence in the history books as opposed to rhetoric or what the cult is telling us.

How does DeSantis, as candidate for president, get PA to follow its laws when even the courts let PA do whatever it want, including the illegal mailing out of 250,000 ballots that had no provenance, like what actually happened in 2022?

If DeSantis is the superior candidate because he can actually win an election, then how does he counter the obvious, massive cheating that's going to happen in PA, AZ, MI, WI, GA, etc.?

In college I lived in a district with a university and otherwise mostly black. In the years I was there I saw nobody but myself in the polling place. I have never seen an empty polling place elsewhere at 6 AM, noon, midafternoon.

I think the idea is that if DeS is the candidate all attempts at cheating will collapse and honesty will shine across the land. This spin isn't new, its brought up repeatedly as a reason to back GOPe candidates in the past for decades. Not that I think Ron is GOPe, and of course in the past these acceptable candidates have been destroyed in the media just like conservative ones and the same amount of fraud occurs.

They used to be fine with letting some no account "conservative" play in their yard for a little while, because they knew their work was a long game, spanning generations, and they would not see their utopia in their own lifetimes.

Now, it's gone from quiet, masterful subterfuge to overt, loud, crass smashing. They can't wait for the fruition of some grand Master plan to topple America quietly and peacefully, eroding our rights and seizing the levers of power while no one is watching... because there is no master plan anymore, just spoiled, violent, insecure perverts grasping at illusory power.

318 I've never really understood this whole line of attack. The National Guard isn't a rapid reaction force. The riot was over in a couple of hours. How quickly could the National Guard have responded under optimal circumstances and would have made any difference?
This is a serious question to anybody who knows. How quickly can the National Guard be mobilized?

Posted by: Bill at January 12, 2024 06:04 PM (I4fb/)

Posted by: Jane at January 12, 2024 08:12 PM (EcD5Y)

320 319 you didn't answer my question. You say "the DC NG could have been on the scene quickly", but that's only if they were already equipped and ready to go. Were they?

As a general rule, are there NG units sitting around with their gear ready to answer the call on a moment's notice? That wasn't my understanding. Most NG members have day jobs. They have to be mobilized. That takes time.

As I recall, Trump offered to have NG provide security during the rally, but Pelosi refused. Consequently, there wouldn't have been any NG mobilized and ready to act in a short time-frame.

Posted by: Bill at January 12, 2024 08:22 PM (I4fb/)

321 Dig a bit deeper into this. The story is not what you think.

This Matthews wanted the NG to go in full Bonus Army level and shoot everyone "rioting" at the capitol. He is full in with his outrage over the "attack" and the devastation it caused and making sure it never happens again by making sure the military is ready with an armed response.

The generals who "lied" apparently did so in order to not send armed guardsmen in to perpetrate a massacre. They wanted to just use unarmed guardsmen at traffic control points further out and let the DC police handle the situation at the capitol. That is what Matthews is so outraged about - he did not get his chance to ride in like MacArthur and Patton.

It does not matter who he condemns, he is not the good guy.
If what he says is true, it does not matter how much the generals lied, they are not bad guys.
