Evil Midget Psychopath Anthony Fauci Admits That The "Six Foot Distancing" Rule Just Sort of "Appeared;" Also Claims He Never Bothered Reading the Wuhan Grant Applications

The six foot distancing "rule" "sort of just appeared" without any scientific basis, the malignant dwarf now admits.

Like 95% of his decrees.

Dr. Anthony Fauci confessed to lawmakers Tuesday that guidelines to keep six feet of separation -- ostensibly to limit the spread of COVID-19 -- "sort of just appeared" without scientific input.

Fauci, 83, revealed to the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic that the "six feet apart" recommendation championed by him and other US public health officials was "likely not based on scientific data," according to Chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio), who is also a physician.

Schools nationwide remained closed well into the second year of the pandemic as a result of the social distancing guidelines, which were disputed by both research studies and other health officials.

"It never struck me that six feet was particularly sensical in the context of mitigation," Dr. Ashish Jha, the dean of the Brown University School of Public Health who served as President Biden's COVID response coordinator for 15 months, told the New York Times in March 2021.

"I wish the CDC would just come out and say this is not a major issue."

...

A top White House adviser to two presidential administrations, Fauci's transcribed interview before the House COVID panel "revealed systemic failures in our public health system and shed light on serious procedural concerns with our public health authority," according to Wenstrup.

Those "failures" included foisting vaccination mandates on schools and businesses.

"After two days of testimony and 14 hours of questioning, many things became evident. During his interview today, Dr. Fauci claimed that the policies and mandates he promoted may unfortunately increase vaccine hesitancy for years to come," Wenstrup said.

"It is clear that dissenting opinions were often not considered or suppressed completely. Should a future pandemic arise, America's response must be guided by scientific facts and conclusive data."

The goblin-fingered fascist is also benefiting from Selective Advantageous Memory Loss.

Wenstrup also said committee members "remain frustrated with Dr. Fauci's inability to recollect COVID-19 information that is important for our investigation," while "others we have spoken to do recall the facts."

Rep. Michael Cloud (R-Texas), who sits on the panel, said Tuesday night that Fauci had shown an "amazing ability to either forget what happened or then to find ways to shirk any sort of responsibility for the influence that was had," during the two-day affair.

"They wash their hands of any sort of responsibility, saying, 'Oh, those decisions were made by school districts.' But the school districts know, if you don't follow the guidance that's coming out of the federal government, you open yourselves up to lawsuits," Cloud said of Fauci and other US pandemic response officials.

The fake scientist also discards the large number of studies that have proven significant, possibly irreversible learning loss due to the school closings he ordered. Wait, he claims he didn't order them; he just scared the hell out of liberal school administrators and presented false claims about children dying from covid.

Fauci says he doesn't believe in learning loss.

"He says he's still not convinced that there was learning loss -- that in his view, that's still really open for discussion," Cloud also told The Post.

He's a Learning Loss Denier. Will FaceBook deplatform him?

The NY Post reminds us that Fauci explicitly admitted that lying to people to frighten them was a critical part of his strategy of control and domination of the public:

In 2021, Fauci had also said it was "proven that when you make it difficult for people in their lives, they lose their ideological bulls--t, and they get vaccinated."

Here's an example of Fauci lying to the public to force them to do what he wanted them to do:

Fauci is also creating a new defense against perjury charges. He repeatedly lied under oath about never having funded gain-of-function research.

Now he's fashioned himself a defense for a future perjury trial -- he now claims that, incredibly, he never even bothered reading the grant applications for viral experimentation which resulted in millions of dollars for gain of function Frankensteining in many labs, particularly the Wuhan lab that created covid-19.

Though he doesn't expressly say this now, the implication is clear: "Hey, when I lied about not funding gain of function, I wasn't lying, because I never even read the grant applications. I didn't knowingly know I was funding gain of function research because I'm a lazy incompetent who doesn't bother reading the descriptions of the research I'm steering millions in taxpayer monies to."

No intent!, whispers James Comey.

The Victory Girls.

Quoting National Review:

During the first seven hours of the transcribed interview on Monday, Fauci repeatedly defended his previous Senate testimony in which he claimed the National Institutes of Health did not fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, which was conducting research on bat coronaviruses that may have produced the Covid pandemic. Similar to his hearing exchanges with Senator Rand Paul (R., Ky.), Fauci disagreed with Congress's definition of "gain-of-function" to avoid admitting that the NIH funded potentially dangerous research that led to the pandemic’s outbreak.

Gain-of-function research refers to making viruses more infectious or deadly for laboratory study.

Fauci also testified that he approved of all foreign and domestic NIAID grants without reviewing the proposals, and conceded that he was unable to confirm whether NIAID has any procedure in place to conduct oversight of the foreign labs they fund.

That's not a "concession," that's a future defense at a perjury trial -- he's claiming there were no procedures which would inform him if a lab was conducting gain-of-function research, furthering his Nazi-like "I know nossing, nossing at all" defense.

Also from that National Review article: while Fauci was lying and perjuring himself insisting that the Wuhan lab he funded was not conducting gain-of-function research, he admitted in a private email that it was a "fact" that Wuhan was doing GOF research.

Confronted with this, Fauci now says he Made a Freudian Typo and that he was wrong at the time to say it was a "fact."

Furthermore, when presented with his February 2020 email to NIH officials demonstrating he was then aware of the gain-of-function research taking place in China, Fauci backpedaled, saying he should not have stated the Wuhan lab's involvement as "fact" in the email.

"The suspicion was heightened by the fact that scientists in Wuhan University are known to have been working on gain of function experiments to determine the molecular mechanisms associated with bat viruses adapting to human infection, and the outbreak originated in Wuhan," Fauci wrote in the February 2020 email to his colleagues.

All of this is creating some blowback for Donald Trump, who effectively made Anthony Fauci the President-in-Fact for a year, and later bestowed upon him a Presidential Commendation for his great service.

Donald Trump is frank and forthright in admitting that if there were any mistakes made, they were all made by (checks notes) Ron "DeSanctimonious."

This isn't even in the same universe as the truth

Fauci repeatedly, forcefully criticized DeSantis in 2020 for reopening Florida before Fauci wanted him to. If anything, DeSantis became Fauci's worst enemy because Florida proved him wrong about masks, lockdowns and schools

I know people make excuses for Trump's cowardly, weakling failure to step up to Fauci and Brix and tell them know. The country was in a panic, they'll say. He's a germophobe. Fauci and Brix "played" him.

(The very stable genius seems to get "played" by leftwingers an awful lot.)

Okay, suppose I excuse his Chicken Little act in 2020-2021:

What excuses his shameless, remorseless lying now?

Is just everything acceptable if Trump does it?

People have already created a "Stripper Index" - the idea being that if you are looking for completely discretionary purchases, strip clubs are high on the list, so it serves as an early warning indicator that the economy is going south and people are being forced to economize.

96 Everyone else is different grades of terrible. Both Trump and DeSantis were terrible on covid.
Posted by: TheJamesMadison
---------
While being worthless or worse on most issues, GA Gov Kemp actually came off better regarding Covid than either Trump or DeSantis.

That being said, most of the actions regarding Covid were state driven under Trump and not nationalized until Biden's junta took power.

The vaxx mandates and other very coercive health measures requiring all sorts of vindictive policies toward refusals took place then.

Covid response was not Trump's finest hour but in fairness, the impeachment charades were a distraction and nat sec was unsure whether it was a biological attack or a lab leak of a biological attack virus for a couple of months. Early 2020 moved in January from concern, to February's warning from the med folks, to full blown panic in March of 2020 with shutdowns, etc. What made it worse is that effectively the Chinese lied, distorted treatments, and used the opportunity to spread the disease world wide. The US public health community nationwide was also incapable and unready at its primary task leading to lockdowns.

IIRC there was some CDC or FDA or some other embedded perpetual government official making $200K/year whose 7th grade daughter made up the six foot social distancing silliness for a school science project.

It didn't "just appear."

It was celebrated.

179 This idiotic rule didn't just "appear." It was the product of a lot of thought.

They needed to come up with some bullshit distancing rule to try to keep the proles in line. The distance couldn't have been too great, or it would have shut down even essential businesses. A rule of, say, 12 feet would have been impossible to enforce.

But the distance also couldn't have been too short, or else it would have been exposed as the pointless, useless pile of bullshit that it was.

Hence: 6 feet. A nice, round, easy-to-understand distance that wasn't too long, wasn't too short, it was just right.

Posted by: Elric Blade at January 11, 2024 12:33 PM (iFTx/)

180 The 6 foot distancing was THE linchpin for the whole shutdown.

Businesses were shut down because they could not maintain the 6 feet.
Schools were shut down because they could not ensure 6 feet.
Even outdoor venues were shut down because they couldn't ensure 6 feet spacing.

People were yelled at by strangers for not keeping 6 feet away.
People were banned from social media for merely asking the scientific basis for the 6 foot rule.

And over and over anyone who dared raise questions was shouted down, bullied and harassed--"Trust the Science" was really "Obey Authority ."

I worked for Public Health at the local level for 24 1/2 years until about a year ago when I couldn't take any more of their politicized unscientific bullspit that literally ignored everything we understand about epidemiology and viral transmission. The entire episode was rotten from the outset.

In our jurisdiction, our Emergency Operation Center was staffed with NO ONE from the Public Health Department, including nurses who worked through the Ebola pandemic. instead, it was staffed by people from the library and Air Quality and other unrelated departments.

My Public Health Department has 6 physical entrances to the building. Rather than segmenting the workplace and having staff come through only the door closest to their office, leadership required all staff to come through ONE entrance; a door that required staff to reach out and pull a physical handle.

When I questioned these moves, I was labeled insubordinate. I can go on. But it was ALL POLITICS. NO SCIENCE.

I'm curious why you would say that. All the polls are trending in Trump's favor which DeSantis supporters said would never happen. Not just the national polls but the all important swing states. Trump is leading in every single one, in some cases by very big numbers.

Biden is a terrible candidate and the left is panicking because they do not think he can win. That goes all the way up to Obama. Trump won in 2016 and unless you are lying in a fantasy world you know he won in 2020. So why can't he win in 2024 when every indication is that he can and unless something big changes will?

So yeah. You'll get it, probably, if you're one of the seemingly 75% or so who *can* get it. You'll also probably be fine. Just like the flu, which does kill a lot of people every year.

But you don't carry around an index card for the flu, because that would be insane. You don't carry around an index card for the common cold, because that would be insane. You don't reindex your calendar for new diseases, because that would be insane.

Yet this person does it for COVID. Oy.

The key words are "early in the pandemic". It's when we know little about it, so caution is warranted.

But, Trump's gonna Trump so accept it and hope for the best.

Nope. I have a real problem with people who won't admit error, because it means they don't learn.

However he did get suckered by Fauci and I regret having listened to Trump about the so called vaccine. He should admit it was a failure because it didn't prevent disease and it's unknown if it even mitigates against severe disease.

It was a Tulip Mania social contagion. We've had a few. Gulf of Tonkin, WMD's ..

275 i am on the same page. What would have made the difference for me was if Trump debated his challengers....

-

It's funny because all I need from ANY of the challengers is an acknowledgement that 2020 was stolen and that we're not going through a normal election like it's 1996 (which probably had a lot of cheating, too).

So far as I know there hasn't been the first single teensy bit of discussion about the steal in any of the debates.

A steal everyone knows happened, and that the SCOTUS confirmed happened by telling PA to cut that sh*t out (and PA said "nah, make us"), and just a day or two ago some judge confirmed yet again that Voting Vans in some state were illegal.

Crickets. Just a normal election that Nikki Haley can win, darnit.

Trump is running away with the primary with smoke and mirrors. These are actual voters who have seen both candidates and are putting their support behind Trump. DeSantis is losing by 20 point in his own state of Florida.

Pretending he would somehow get the support Trump now has by magic is just not going to happen.

I think there was room for a Trumpism without Trump in this race even with Trump in the race, but the primary issue that needed to be addressed was voter integrity. No one did it. Hell, Trump barely does it ("we'll ballot harvest more" is the extent of it), but at least he addresses it.

Without that, everyone else seems like they're trying to win the 2016 election, not the 2024 election.

They wanted their precious lockdowns, but they ALSO wanted the rich ones to be able to bribe them to be declared 'essential'.

The ONLY WAY that they could simultaneously justify lockdowns and allowing 'essential' businesses to be open is if they dictated 'precautions' that allowed it.

They didn't give two shits about whether there was science or not, they just needed a fig leaf justification. 'Oh yeah, you can totally let Wal-Mart be open as long as they put arrows on the ground to keep people 6 feet away and everybody wears a mask!!!!'

And here's the real kicker: most of these imbeciles would board the plane in a mask, sit there for a while in the mask, and then take off the mask for a while[i/], then put it back on, take it off, etc.

312 Biden is a terrible candidate and the left is panicking because they do not think he can win. That goes all the way up to Obama. Trump won in 2016 and unless you are lying in a fantasy world you know he won in 2020. So why can't he win in 2024 when every indication is that he can and unless something big changes will?

As you point out, Biden is a TERRIBLE candidate, probably the worst we've ever had. Hillary wasn't much better, and yet Trump barely beat Hillary. So, assuming Biden is replaced, and I think he will be, Trump would face a much stronger candidate.

If Biden does remain as the nom, which I do not expect, Trump MIGHT beat him.

They brought suits before the election based on illegal changes to the law, and they were all tossed by the courts because the courts said that there was no harm done.

They brought suits right after the election, and everything was tossed without hearing the merits.

Would the courts suddenly have changed their judicial philosophies because another Republican was on the ballot?

348 - Dr. Fauci acknowledged that the lab leak hypothesis is not a conspiracy theory. This comes nearly four years after prompting the publication of the now infamous “Proximal Origin” paper that attempted to vilify and disprove the lab leak hypothesis.

- Dr. Fauci admitted that America’s vaccine mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic could increase vaccine hesitancy in the future. Previously, Dr. Fauci advocated “that when you make it difficult for people in their lives, they lose their ideological bullshit, and they get vaccinated.”

- When American universities approached Dr. Fauci, he advised them to impose vaccine mandates on their students.

- Dr. Fauci denies allegations that he visited the CIA during the pandemic or influenced the CIA’s investigation into the origins of COVID-19.

- Dr. Fauci played semantics with the definition of a “lab leak” in an attempt to cover up the inaccurate conclusions of “Proximal Origin.” It is impossible for Dr. Fauci to defend the conclusion of this publication while simultaneously acknowledging that a lab leak is possible.

Dunno. Iowa is always a weird state to predict due to its caucus system but I don't see DeSantis catching fire. I see the political problem is DeSantis, like Ace for that matter, cannot admit things that Trump did right but are all in on what Trump did wrong. That pretty much goes for his online supporters as well. They tend to skew toward the upper part of the SES versus Trump supporters and are highly offended by Trump's political persona.

DeSantis would have done better to ignore the Trump attacks, not do cheesy things like wear the platform shoes, and be comfortable in his own persona. In essence, I think he would have done better using the Cruz strategy of drafting behind Trump instead of getting into a mud slinging campaign which excites the partisans but turns off potential new voters. His former Cruz staffers and his whale donors did him no favors either by trying to run on social issues when Ukraine, injustice in the courts, or the economy are as big.

The problem with Trump or any politician/CEO at his level is that apologizing or admitting one was wrong becomes a signal to "the market" of weakness. If Trump were to admit his failings on COVID tomorrow, no matter how sincere or heartfelt he was, he'd be DESTROYED by the media. He *might* gain support among key constituencies, but that will NOT be enough to offset how the media will then portray him as a weak-minded fool. (Even more than they do now).

This is true *no matter* who is President.

Police say the 41-year-old man allegedly waved a flag of "an organization listed as a terrorist group by Public Safety Canada" while marching through the city's downtown on Sunday.

Speaking at a Toronto Police Services Board meeting Thursday, police Chief Myron Demkiw called the charge "unprecedented," noting the "very high threshold" to charge anyone with a hate propaganda offence.

"We're not putting up with this kind of hateful conduct," said Demkiw, at a news conference Thursday.

"This type of allegation points to an extremist, hateful perspective that we do not welcome in the city."

Replace Trump with Biden/Obama/Bush/etc. the answer is usually "Yes" if the person is partisan enough and lacks critical thinking skills beyond "My is good, is the nazis".

453 The 2004 route that GWB used to get to victory exists no more. We are not that country and simply put Wine moms and upperly mobile country club GOP types are not a winning coalition.

That is why in the GOP is effectively dead as it was after the New Deal until Eisenhower accepted it. The brand image itself is actually toxic. What comes to mind is weak, craven, treacherous, corrupt, and elitist. It is only the fact that the Dems are so awful and insane that the GOP even gets its marginal performance in elections.

FJB can't admit he's wrong for the same exact reasons.

At this stage, not sure even if he pulls off a win in Iowa that he can get momentum. The money crowd and Fox is all in on Nikki. I think the GOP base is more discerning in that it hates the behavior of leftists and what they do but still leans toward stupidity and ignorance rather than malice. That, in part, is why conservatives often blame this policy or that policy for losing elections. That requires a very different mindset of elimination or separation rather than persuasion.

I'm a neutral in the Trump/DeSantis wars, but it isn't the best defense of DeSantis to say that he can be bullied into doing the wrong thing. Trump fell down there by letting his germophobia do the same thing.

Ron has been excellent overall in Florida as Governor but his presidential campaign has been poor and not because Trump's minions talk him down. He should have been able to make points regardless and reach more people.

I don't know if either can stop the Deep State before disaster strikes the country even further.

Partisans often focus on people and ideologues focus on ideas; the rest of folks are bemused by the anger and hostility between people that agree on about 80 percent of the issues. So the fights are more vicious because the actual difference in positions are so small.

Either DeSantis or Trump are going to be fairly identical on what they can get done if they win. They will be limited by Congress, courts, and bureaucracy if they stay within normal boundaries.
The left though is thinking about a Fort Sumter moment as the shit that they have done to others makes them fear revenge of those they have wronged.

Far uglier but I would agree. But the problem with Gramscians is that they never considered the problem of governance--only of breaking down existing society.

Socialists and Marxists can never be creative societies because that requires an individualism that is antithetical to the system. H. Posted by: whig at January 11, 2024 01:37 PM (tllOr)

A Slave is a Slave is about a star Empire finding a planet where just about everyone is a slave, having been overrun by raiders from another planet centuries ago. Slaves run everything, but don't revolt because "Slaves have to have a master". The Master class has parties and dances while upper slaves do everything

The problem is that by Empire law slavery is illegal. The head of the legation is a leftist guy straight out of law school who starts plotting with the head slaves against the Masters but is shocked when the slaves massacre nearly all of the Masters instead and ruin his plans. They set up a Slave state under Communist lines which is all legal.

Ministry of Disturbance - A young emperor sees that the Empire is stagnating - Science is ossified, elections are fixed in local districts and economies are flat so he tries to generate little troubles to fix them.

Pure fantasy. There were lawsuits filed in many states. All thrown out because no elections had yet been held, so no "harm" had yet been done. And then, after the election, the lawsuits were all thrown out because "too late".

The people that keep arguing as if the entrenched bureaucracy, the media, and a new entity that we now know quite a bit about - the Censorship Industrial Complex - just didn't exist. Except it all DOES exist.

I'm dead serious about this - I want someone to write up their best case "alternate history" account of exactly what happened in 2020, but changing the story based solely on what Trump was going to do to single-handedly swing things 180 degrees in our favor.

542 Ground game involves having the lawyers everywhere to stop the cheat - that's what Youngkin paid for in VA in 2021...
Posted by: Nova Local at January 11, 2024 12:47 PM (exHjb)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Where to start ? First of all, Youngkin did not win in 2021 because he was able to prevent or mitigate cheating. He won because of the incredible luck of the disastrous Democrat embrace of saying parents shouldn't have a say in their kids education, up to and including not being raped in the girls bathroom. It remains to be seen if he can get re-elected without that issue at his back. If there is some concise account of how Youngkin stopped the steal in VA in 2021, I'd love to read about it. But considering I've never heard of any such thing, I'm going out on a limb to suggest there is no such thing. But I'd be happy to be proven otherwise.
Nevermind that VA was not one of the states where the steal was beyond obvious like AZ, PA, MI, WI, GA, and NV.
Nevermind that all the lawyers in the world can't do spit if they're presenting their case in Democrat run courts like they did in the run-up to the 2020 election and afterwards.
