House Releases Contempt Charges for Hunter Biden
What I think should happen now is that the Very Special Counsel assigned to Hunter Biden will take up the charges, and is more or less under pressure to seek a conviction. If a Very Special Counsel was needed for Hunter's gun and tax charges -- indicating that the DOJ felt there was a conflict of interest that needed to be cured -- then the Very Special Counsel is also needed for these contempt charges.
In fact, there's an even bigger conflict of interest -- Joe Biden does not want his son testifying about Joe Biden's criminal bribery. But who knows. Merrick Garland is an extremely corrupt individual. NeverTrump must answer for working so, so hard to put this criminal on the Supreme Court.Jim Jordan says that Hunter can and should get up to a year in the clink.
House Republicans on the Oversight and Judiciary Committees released resolutions Monday recommending Hunter Biden be held in contempt of Congress. House Oversight and Judiciary are advising the House to hold Hunter Biden in contempt for defying congressional subpoenas by failing to show up to a closed-door deposition Dec. 13, according to their resolutions and accompanying reports. OVERSIGHT REPORT: "Mr. Biden's testimony is a critical component of the impeachment inquiry into, among other things, whether Joseph R. Biden, Jr., as Vice President and/or President: (1) took any official action or effected any change in government policy because of money or other things of value provided to himself or his family; (2) abused his office of public trust by providing foreign interests with access to him and his office in exchange for payments to his family or him; or (3) abused his office of public trust by knowingly participating in a scheme to enrich himself or his family by giving foreign interests the impression that they would receive access to him and his office in exchange for payments to his family or him," the Oversight Committee report reads. House Judiciary's report contains similar remarks. "Mr. Biden's flagrant defiance of the Committees' deposition subpoenas--while choosing to appear nearby on the Capitol grounds to read a prepared statement on the same matters--is contemptuous, and he must be held accountable for his unlawful actions," the Oversight report adds. "Accordingly, the Chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Accountability recommends that Congress find Robert Hunter Biden in contempt for his failure to comply with the Committee subpoena issued to him."

The most recent document production shows that in 2015 Hunter Biden lobbied for his father, the then-vice president, to be the featured speaker at the Truman National Security Project's conference, while the younger Biden served as a board member at the organization. Last year, the Truman Center's keynote speaker was left-wing media personality Rachel Maddow. The Truman Project did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Just the News. President Biden's 2015 tax forms appear to show that he was not paid for the speech while he was vice president. Hunter Biden also appears to have used his foreign policy contacts through the administration to help secure a donation for the Truman Project and to attempt to further his own business interests.

I think there’s a threshold of cheating somewhere beyond which it’s so open and obvious that the needed fiction of free and fair elections is gone and sacrificed. TPTB don’t want to cross that threshold because they do need the fiction…. All totalitarian regimes need that fiction. I imagine the IP address would indicate an overseas VPN (virtual private network). I'm pretty certain the perps are using VOIP (voice over internet protocol) and using an overseas VPN provider from here in the not-so USA.
Since said VPN makes money off of people paying money to do nefarious things like steal Hollywood movies, I'm pretty certain they're not going to take calls from the USA FBI. It would be the end of their business model.
So, it's kinda the perfect crime. Nasty as f to do though.

They've grounded them, and are doing inspections. They're finding loose bolts, and other parts just lying around.
This is not good. Apparently, the bolts that hold the plug door in place were loose, and just let the door slide up and blow out.

It's basically impossible to trace spoofed phone calls now. Telemarketers have taken advantage for years now to make the calls come up on your caller ID as from your local area code so you're more likely to answer.

There was a whole weird political movement back shortly after the 1900's that argued functionalism (ala Veblen) demanded that technicians and mechanics rule the country instead of the useless and soft elites that never dirtied their hands. Heinlein used that as part of his background in "The Roads Must Roll" short story.
But the idea was that people were cogs in gigantic wheels that moved in a predictable fashion and so the best people to manage a mechanical and technological society were technicians. That was very appealing to engineering and scientific types and you can see somewhat of that idea in " the German silent film, "Metropolis"

Speculation I heard was the reason this piece of airplane is called a plug is because it replaces an emergency door to accommodate another row of seats. There is another company that typically makes the modification. Someone up above linked a story that mentions Spirit AeroSystems as a party to these modifications.

IIRC the problem with the f-111 was due to a design or assembly change by a non-engineer, and an entire chain that had no ability to comment or even understand the way the wings were fastened onto the fuselage.
If Ford makes an assembly error the door falls off, or the back window leaks and it is not an issue. Aircraft is a bit different.
I suspect there was a change in procedure to save time or money, by someone who had no right to be in a position to make a change, and will never be blamed for the damage done.

Yup. For the past 10- years, my employer treats all of its employees as interchangeable commodities regardless of productivity another characteristics (and refuses to give raises). In that time I haven't missed one day of work and taken only one vacation -- and they would have no qualms about replacing me with some anonymous hire from Craigslist tomorrow.
It's still a good gig for me, and I would leave tomorrow if there were a competitor and better opportunity ...

If Ford makes an assembly error the door falls off, or the back window leaks and it is not an issue. Aircraft is a bit different.
I suspect there was a change in procedure to save time or money, by someone who had no right to be in a position to make a change, and will never be blamed for the damage done.

That whole train of thought is that the masses are asses and need an elite to rule them--ironically Claudine Gay's alleged scholarship along with the real scholarship by Carol Swain that Gay plagiarized among others, deals with the problem of representation. Swain's work dealt more with the tension of minorities in government office whether to be the mere descriptional/demographic representatives or actual policy representatives for their districts.
The descriptional/demographic type has long been called the Talented Tenth in such research circles and it argues that those individuals have a duty to the minority community (Black in the case of Gay and Swain) to press their community claims on the hostile 'other' elites.

Anarcho-Sydicalism, for example, places the controlling element of society on labor unions or combines of workers, and Anarcho-Capitalist puts the controlling element of society on the open market.

Pretty sure that his former Cruz 2016 campaign managers led him and his wife down a garden path to rely on massive ad blitzes in primary states using with massive early whale donations that have apparently been squandered using that strategy.
It is almost always better to cultivate a small (in amount) donor network as those people are invested in the candidate and are much more likely to proselytize. Buying insiders like the Iowa evangelist or Conservative Media coverage like at the Daily Wire doesn't really work on conservatives like it would leftists.
I think that is because almost all of the GOP campaign managers are in fact cultural leftists that people are widgets to be manipulated as NPCs. The shared assumptions of the GOPe and Dems is that the masses are asses and elites are entitled to rule them.
