Deputy Director of Analysis at the CIA, One of Two Officials Responsible for the Presidential Daily Briefing, Publicly Posts Her Support of the Officially-Designated Terrorist Group Hamas

A top CIA official posted a pro-Palestine image on Facebook two weeks after Hamas attacked Israel, in a rare public political statement by a senior intelligence officer on a war that has sparked dissent within the Biden administration.
The CIA's associate deputy director for analysis changed her Facebook cover photo on October 21 to an image of a man waving a Palestinian flag that is often used in stories criticising Israel. The Financial Times has decided not to name her after the intelligence agency expressed concern about her safety.

Fine, fine. The DOJ can demand the names of anyone who merely liked a tweet, but of course wrongdoers of The Regime have their anonymity protected 100%.

Posting an overtly political image on a public platform is a very unusual move for a senior intelligence official. It comes as tensions rise inside the administration about whether President Joe Biden should put more pressure on Israel to bring an end to the fighting in the Gaza Strip.
In a separate Facebook post, the senior intelligence official also published a selfie with a sticker saying "Free Palestine" superimposed on the photograph. One person familiar with the image said it was posted to Facebook years ago and long before the current conflict.
"The officer is a career analyst with extensive background in all aspects of the Middle East and this post [of the Palestinian flag] was not intended to express a position on the conflict," said the person familiar with the situation.

The CIA official did not respond to an attempt to reach her via LinkedIn but after the outreach on Monday, the pro-Palestine images and unrelated posts from the past year and a half were deleted from her page.
Four former intelligence officials expressed surprise that one of two associate deputy directors reporting to the head of analysis would post an image on Facebook showing her apparent political views on a divisive issue.
The CIA official has previously overseen the production of the President's Daily Brief, the highly classified compilation of intelligence that is presented to the president most days. The deputy CIA director for analysis and his two associates are also responsible for approving all analysis disseminated inside the agency.

Disney MUST buy the rest of Hulu. It was part of the agreement back when the deal was made (in 2017?). Comcast had the option to force Disney to buy the rest of Hulu (a 'put', essentially), at a minimum price of $9.2b, or fair value, whichever is higher.

Disney can afford it, but may be strapped for liquid cash. They can probably easily get financing, but probably don't want to do a deal with stock, since it is so low now.

Right, not at all.

The idea of the "professional civil service" looked okay on paper, but was a disaster. The spoils system was deeply corrupt and full of perverse incentives, but it was beholden to the executive. Voters had a say, after a fashion. If the civil service was too awful, they could fire the president and get a new crop of bastards in place. Then throw out that crop if needed during the next election.

The professional civil service is at least as corrupt and partisan, but now its embedded and can't be removed by replacing the executive.

Agreed. The progressive era brought in the idea of a "professional" and "expert" civil service class. It was a lie from the beginning, intended to embed THEIR people in the permanent bureaucracy forever. But they were going to use their expertise to march forward the progressive agenda.

Which didn't even work out all that well for them. Instead we ended up with incompetent idiots, racial minorities, and wide eyed scary ladies.

Not all that many. There are the political appointees who serve at the pleasure of the president. They all resign after every election and get re-appointed or not re-appointed depending on who won the election and/or if the president gets re-elected and wants to keep them.

But the vast, vast, majority are there to stay, and are VERY hard to fire. Putting aside all of the unionized employees, courts have found that some of them even have a property interest in a government job. So being fired requires due process, or it's an unconstitutional "taking."
