Surprise! The Very Special Counsel Appointed by Biden to Investigate Biden's Mishandling of Classified Documents Won't Charge His Boss After All

Wow, I was getting worried that Biden's employee might prosecute Biden like Biden's other employee is prosecuting Trump.

I bet this was a very close call, based only on legal precedent.

And a lack of "intent," obviously.

Special Counsel Robert Hur, who is investigating President Joe Biden for mishandling documents, is not expected to charge anyone, sources familiar with the matter told CNN and the Wall Street Journal.

The report suggests a double standard of justice. While there will reportedly be no consequences for Biden, Special Counsel Jack Smith indicted former President Donald Trump in June for mishandling classified documents.

Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Hur in January to investigate Biden after classified documents from his time as vice president in Barack Obama's administration were found in his possession at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, DC, and at his Wilmington, Delaware, home.

Hur was among those at the Justice Department who had knowledge about the Russia hoax perpetrated against former President Donald Trump.

Hur will reportedly issue a report on his investigation that could be made public by the end of the year.

@AlexMarlow

Joe Biden is going to skate on the classified docs.

As I wrote in BREAKING BIDEN, Joe's handling of the materials was FAR worse than anything Trump did, so of course his own corrupt machine let him off the hook.

There are (at least) two systems of justice in this country.

Impeachment also doesn't matter if you can't get it through the Senate. Impeachment is a pointless distraction. The only upshot is forcing press coverage of Biden's crimes, but there is also the counternarrative spin, so it might come out a wash anyway.

The House could do its job and cut funding instead while refusing to compromise in any way and letting the sucker shut down if needed until the president and Senate scream and sign the damn thing - but that's not who we are.

1) Biden is found to have classified docs from when he was VP and didn't have de-classification authority.
2) These docs were found in closet in Penn U. Biden library where anyone who could convince the college student staffing the desk to unlock the closet to take a peek. And alternatively, where Biden Inc. could share the docs with who paid them.
3) Docs were also in the garage next to Biden's corvette that he essentially took from Jill's ex-husband.
4) Trump has documents that he, by his office as President, had the right to de-classify and he kept in locked storage in home protected by secret service.
5) The National Archives were negotiating to have Trump return the documents
6) Biden orders DOJ to raid Trump to get ahead of Biden's own legal jeopardy.

Special counsel investigating Joe Biden's handling of classified material is not expected to bring charges.

Sounds like a familiar thing where a "conclusion" is leaked to the press way before any report and says "likely" no charges to be filed. This allows time for the GQP rage machine to crank up on Faux etc. for weeks if not months demanding charges. Then maybe there is a demand for the investigators to do a "re-examination" and then lo and behold some "disagreements" come to light and now there will be some charges

Locking by forum hosts' consensus.;This is anticipatory, not final news since the report is still being written.

The only question is how soft Hur (helped by Garland, Lisa Monaco, and Joe's private lawyers) will go on Joe in the published edition of report. Will they say Joe's staff and GSA employees did it all, unbeknownst to Joe? Or that Joe simply made innocent mistakes? Will they say Joe knew he was violating laws when he took secret and above documents home, but no harm no foul, no intent to give classified info to anyone? Maybe, but they will not write that in plain English.

The amount of damage he needs to inflict on his persecutors is immeasurable due to their historic hostility to him.

I don't care who else is running for any office at this point. Trump needs to win and he needs to head his own team of dragonslayers. This has nothing to do with any policy either. Our rogue government needs purging like a Reconstruction more than anything else.

He was given chances to comply with supreme unelected being Garland, you see, and he didn't, while Biden self-reported his illegality - except that he didn't really do that and he had no plenary power to have those documents - but you can't bother Salon and Tatyana with legal constitutional issues! That requires thought, dammit...

It is much more noble and heroic to assess a situation and pick a strategy - if one has the luxury of choice - that has the greatest probability of improving the odds of victory.

Impeachment does not do that. Impeachment is pointless under current conditions and requires no courage in the slightest. It is merely a game with no meaning.

Cutting spending - perhaps even to a single dollar for some departments - would send shockwaves and could change the rules of the game. It would also require real courage. It is why they will not do it.

Impeachment would be exactly what you're describing, albeit slightly worse because it's even more disingenuous than doing nothing.

This case of the "so-called" classified documents is never going to get past the Florida Federal Court that its in - this is because everyone involved knows that the SCOTUS cannot allow plenary power to the DOJ or the National Archive transvestite - but it simply, Merrick Garland cannot be allowed to be the supreme Ayatollah of the United States - otherwise, he'll easily find reasons that Roberts or Kavanaugh or Alito or Thomas need to be prosecuted for violations of DOJ invented transgressions. And they all know it. The judge down in Florida has given way too much leeway to the DOJ at this point and needs to shut this idiocy down at the March 2024 hearing.

241 I hate to say it, but this is how you know that Democrats will hold the seat of Presidency and a majority in the senate in perpetuity. If the DOJ is corrected, then they lose everything. They can't afford a wrecking ball Attorney General, and so they will rig elections (often overtly) going forward without concern for optics. If they lose the absolute pressure and influence of the DOJ, the house of cards falls.

It's, also, why the DOJ took such an active roll in suppressing obvious election fraud evidence in 2020 (Michigan is the best example of that).

They've gotten to the point where they will just have the Dem Secretary of State certify bogus numbers from battleground states.

Although you probably don't realize it, there is an important point here that people of Faith have always recognized - if your focus is ONLY on This World, and nothing more, then of course what you say is true.

"Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher; “Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.” What profit has a man from all his labor in which he toils under the sun? One generation passes away, and another generation comes;
But the earth abides forever....That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done,
And there is nothing new under the sun."

but that is not the end of the story, because this World is just the beginning, not the end.

315 Does anyone else look at Japan rearming itself with mixed feelings? On the one hand, they did some really evil shit, on the other, it is like seeing a once respected enemy get pushed around the playground by worthless punks.

'They' aren't the same generation. And considering what your average Chinese national has in mind, it's more than over-due.

321 Were I Trump or advising him, I'd dump the Secret Service protection IYKWIMAITYD and hire some serious, loyal, badass, overwhelming personal security details. And a food & drink taster ...

If I were Trump, at this point, I would have hired a Sooper Seekret Mercenary Army™ to, uh, take care of all 'family business'.

Now on to prosecuting Trump and Guliani for questioning Hunter Biden's good character.
Already called that one. Guliani is going to be prosecuted for possession of child porn since he had a copy of Hunter's hard drive.
