Media Celebrates the Highest Number of Border Apprehensions for Any October In History

NEW: CBP reports 240,988 migrant encounters at the southern border during the month of October, making it the highest October ever recorded.

CBP also reports 13 Border Patrol arrests of people on the FBI terror watchlist in October.

1 northern border

The 240,988 migrant encounters for October include 188,778 illegal crossings, and over 44,000 migrants paroled into the U.S. at ports of entry through the Biden admin's use of the CBP One App, which the admin has deemed a "lawful pathway".

The media is claiming it's good news that the number of illegals caught sneaking into the US fell 14% from the previous barn-burner of a month.

They don't report that this is the highest number of apprehensions for any October in history.

The good news is that illegal border crossings from Mexico fell 14% in October. That is in comparison to illegal crossings last month.

The bad news is that the number of illegal immigrants apprehended is recorded as 240,988, the highest October ever recorded. The drop comes after three months of big increases.

Corporate media is reporting the drop in October as the headline, as though the records that continue to be set by the high number of illegal immigrants are not the real story. As this story is reported, there is still a huge caravan of wannabe asylum seekers marching through Mexico on their way to the U.S. southern border. The September numbers were the second-highest numbers ever recorded so you see the good news has to be looked at clear-eyed. Any reduction is welcomed by our overwhelmed border communities and the Border Patrol but let's not bust out the champagne yet.

I recently watched an interview of former Buffalo Sabres goaltender Clint Malarchuk whose neck was sliced some 30 years ago. He thought he was sure to die but.
He credits his survival on the Buffalo trainer who was a medic in Vietnam who knew exactly what he needed to do for Malarchuk and was very cool and calm

Not sure about public schools, but the two Catholic schools I taught at had them every year. They'd come in for mass, then go to the classrooms to show off their art. I always enjoyed it. My daughter took her Godmother, because one set had passed away, the other set lived too far away.
