Obama Campaign Manager and CNN Spinner David Axelrod Continues Saying Biden Is Too Old to be President, So Biden Calls Him a "Prick"

A prick, Biden said, oldishly.

A couple of weeks ago, Axelrod observed that Biden was old and it shows. And he pointed to polls showing that the public doubts Biden's ability to be president, suggesting -- declaring, really, but in a cowardly way-- that Biden must evaluate whether he's the best option to beat Trump, and if it wouldn't be better for him to step out of the race and let Gavin Newsom (or someone else) run.

A couple of days ago, Axelrod renewed his Concerns:

But Axelrod doubled down on his criticism of the president days later - telling CNN one of his biggest liabilities - his age - isn't something that can be fixed.

'I think that there is one issue that is hanging over him,' Axelrod said in conversation with ex-Maryland Republican Governor Larry Hogan.

'I think with Donald Trump on the other end, he could still win this election. But the age issue is difficult.'

And now Biden calls him a "prick." And Axelrod responds by saying that Biden either "get going" -- by which he means, do better in polls and show he can beat Trump -- or "get out."

Democrat political strategist David Axelrod has hit back at Joe Biden for calling him a 'pr***' - by telling him to 'either get out or get going' with his 2024 campaign.

It marks bubbling tensions between the political heavyweights reaching a boiling point, after Axelrod - Obama's chief strategist - sparked their feud by highlighting Biden's advancing age and declining position in the polls.

Politico said Monday that the 80-year-old president reacted by calling him 'a pr***'. Asked about the diss during an interview with CNN , Axelrod said Biden 'wouldn't be the first' to fire insults against him.

'Listen, I understand, he was irritated because I raised concerns that many many Democrats have,' the former White House official said.

'And again, my feeling is: either get out or get going. The stakes are so high - this isn't Mitt Romney or John McCain or anybody else on the other side. It's Donald Trump.'

But wait I thought Mitt Romney was a vulture capitalist who kept women in binders

Are we past pretending to care about that? Because Biden seems to curse much more than any president other than Trump.

When Obama said "I want to find out whose ass to kick" in regards to the deepwater horizon snafu, the right wing media went after him, and the left wing media said it showed how serious and concerned he was.

But when Trump did it, it was unpresidential and required much navel gazing about tone and being presidential.

They broke the law in 2020 (complete with warning from SCOTUS!) and again in 2022. They won. Nothing's been done to prevent them from doing it again.

You're reading too much into collapsing D vote totals in the off-season. The R vote movement in Virginia is pretty normal, up a third when it's a presidential(comparing 2020 to 2022). Ds saw much larger gaps in their totals because they had ridiculously high numbers in 2020.

Trump's Virginia numbers are pretty much bog standard for Rs looking at past presidential elections.

333 Looking at Youngkin's results in 2021, he seems to perform in essentially the same counties as other R candidates. He's working within the pool of total R voters, but doing a good bit better than the normal off-season.

That could be explained by effective get out the vote, which is lower impact in big, high participation elections.

A detailed examination may reveal him flipping voters or tapping an otherwise untapped pool of support, but I think that's less likely since we haven't heard anything of that nature.
