House Report: Illegal Immigration Costs Americans $451 Billion Every Single Year

But the Democrat Party needs new illegal voters so it's a steal!

Caring for illegal aliens currently within the United States could cost American taxpayers up to $451 billion per year, a Monday interim staff report from House Republicans has concluded.

Originally obtained by the New York Post, the 49-page report entitled "The Historic Dollar Costs of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas' Open-Border Policies" became public the same day that the House voted to refer a resolution to impeach the eponymous security official to the Homeland Security Committee.

...

"Every day, millions of American taxpayer dollars are spent on costs directly associated with illegal immigration and the unprecedented crisis at the Southwest border sparked by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas' policies," the report begins. "Only a small fraction is ever recouped from the taxes paid by illegal aliens, with the rest falling on the shoulders of American citizens and lawful residents."

"Mass illegal immigration, accelerated by Mayorkas' open-borders policies, now represents a massive cost to the federal government and state governments alike, as well as the pocketbooks of private citizens and businesses," it continues. "The range of costs inflicted by Mayorkas' border crisis cover everything from emergency medical care to increased demands on law enforcement to housing and shelter benefits for illegal aliens."

...

In the end, Republicans drew damning conclusions about Mayorkas' job performance from the data.

"It is morally unacceptable that American taxpayer dollars should be funneled to those who violate our laws and demand expansive, taxpayer-funded benefits like education, health care, housing, and more," the report went on. "Many of these individuals will likely represent a drain on American society for the remainder of their days in the United States, constantly absorbing more benefits from the state than they ever contribute--to say nothing of the fact that they have no lawful basis to remain in the country to begin with."

Eight Republicans voted with Democrats to derail Marjorie Taylor-Greene's impeachment action against Mayorkas.

The vote was 209-201. 12 Democrats and 12 Republicans did not vote. The eight no votes were Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO), Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA), Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC), Rep. John Duarte (R-CA), Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), Rep. Cliff Bentz (R-OR), and Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH).

Meanwhile, CNN writes up a Trump Press Release, mistakenly believing it's a hit piece.

Former President Donald Trump is planning a widespread expansion of his first administration's hardline immigration policies if he is elected to a second term in 2024, including rounding up undocumented immigrants already in the US and placing them in detention camps to await deportation, a source familiar with the plans confirmed to CNN.

The plans, first reported by The New York Times, would necessitate building large camps to house migrants waiting for deportation and tapping federal and local law enforcement to assist with large-scale arrests of undocumented immigrants across the country.

Should Congress refuse to fund the operation, Trump could turn to a tactic used in his first term to secure more funding for a border wall -- redirecting funds from the Pentagon, the source confirmed.

News of the proposals comes after Trump at a rally in Florida on Wednesday promised to conduct "the largest domestic deportation operation in American history" and argued criminals were coming through the US-Mexico border and warned of "young, strong people that had bad intentions."

I have it on good authority - after all, it comes from literally every public office, television news channel, university classroom, etc. - that illegal aliens cost *nothing* and are in fact net contributors because they still pay sales taxes but are ineligible for - and receive no - government services at all!

5 Some illegal aliens who made the trek to Chicago from Venezuela and other places are so disillusioned with their experiences that they are headed back to their home country.

Venezuelan Michael Castejon, 39, told the Chicago Tribune that he feels lied to about how he and his wife and daughter would find a better life in the United States.

“The American Dream doesn’t exist anymore,” Castejon lamented. “There’s nothing here for us. We just want to be home.”

The Venezuelan couple expected to come to this country and be handed all sorts of wonderful benefits, and they especially wanted their daughter enrolled in a free U.S. school.

Instead, when they got to Chicago, they discovered that the city had been pushed to the edge, far past its ability to service the multitude of illegals arriving there. The Castejons were relegated to the floor of a police station for a while, then shunted to another temporary shelter.

The last sentence is certainly true. An invasion is an invasion. We're being colonized and doing nothing to stop it. It's a monumental disaster.

But the former is probably just so many nice words. I don't think he can do it. It isn't about money, it's about people in the government following their orders to go do it. They won't.

This is only an estimate of government costs. I haven't read the details, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's only federal taxpayer costs.

26 Everyone should be aware that the terror threat level from illegal immigration has increased significantly. The way in which illegal immigration is occurring actually makes it hard for agencies to formulate the threat assessment. That's because they largely have no idea who is coming in, or whether the people they have caught are legitimately who they claim to be. That's before we get to people who they have let in, and are presently forming the base of support for the pro-Hamas rally's. Keep up your SA in public places, folks.

More like 1.8 trillion is waste since a portion of the federal dollars spent, while technically spent for their designated purpose, are for a purpose which, in turn, generates additional waste.

I misjudged that action. I thought - because I was being logical - that it was irrelevant because the numbers shunted up to blue cities by those governors just weren't big enough. This is, in fact, true. It's a drop in the ocean.

But it mattered anyway, because it forced the issue and, crucially, gave the blue state governors and mayors air cover to start talking about the catastrophic consequences of our non-border policy - safely blaming it on DeSantis and Abbot while doing so, even though they barely even contributed to the problem. It was a narrative play, not a practical play and I failed to understand that.

A few years ago, a Left-wing group in Portland tried to make that argument, by pointing out all the state and local taxes illegals paid.

But that's OK, because I'm sure that the average illegal uses only one-quarter the average governmental services of the average Oregonian. /s

That means all the illegal immigrants who are not self sufficient and have been let in by subverting federal immigration policy, are starting to see some of their handouts dry up. That is why there is a big rush in Blue States to handout work permits to illegal immigrants. You can find out who is hiring these people in many states. I love that liberals actually claim that. Like you can't have non-US food in restaurants without unlimited illegal immigration. Maybe that's why they go so hard on "cultural appropriation" though.

1) You can't cook foreign food without being cancelled
2) Unlimited illegal immigration
3) Enchiladas

87 The plan to build internment camps on the road to deportation is a good one. But much more can and should be done, stuff that would actually cost nothing and make them want to self-deport.

Make life hell for them. There are two other things - purely administrative - that I think must be done along with deportations and clamping down the border:
1. Immediately cut off all "sanctuary" jurisdictions from all federal outlay at every level. No law enforcement help, no transit funds, no highway funds, no school funds, no medical funds. Nothing. Shut off the tap, entirely, until those governments repudiate their "sanctuary" positions and begin enthusiastically cooperating with deportation.
2. Tax remittances to Latin America at punitive rates. Any transfer to anywhere in Latin America less than $25,000 is taxed at 75%. Use the money raised - which will be minimal, but that's not the point - to fund deportation operations.

Take away their defense structure and take away their ability to send money "back home" to the cartels, and a lot of them will self-deport.

I'm not stupid enough to see anything as the silver bullet to our modern set of problems, but something we ought to at least try is force the courts to define what it means to be able to assemble freely under the first amendment.

Doesn't it mean you have to be able to travel to any given place, and do so safely? And don't our modern homelessness, immigration, environmental, and non-prosecution-of-crimes policies all infringe upon that right?

Probably intentionally so.

What does that mean? When your state passes an unconstitutional "law", there is NO LEGAL DEFENSE against a class action law suit for damages against your state for people damaged by that "law". That is why Washington DC lost the class action law suit filed against them for the "gun laws" they lost in the Heller case.

We're talking about between 10 and 30 million people. That's a big operation and it will need staging. There is also the problem of laws. What it will need to be is along the lines of a combined prison and court. Something like:
1. Alien is arrested
2. Jurisdiction is transferred to the deportation agency
3. Alien is transferred to a holding facility (the camp, which is legally a jail)
4. Alien is processed through the courts attached to the facility. He makes his claim and it is accepted or rejected quickly. I'd like to see each camp-attached immigration judge process at least six cases per hour, eight hours per day.
5. Once adjudicated, alien is either given papers and released (rare) or transferred to outbound holding for deportation.

A job this big requires buffers, and fairly big ones.

I am under no illusions. Deportation camps could be used as gulags, absolutely. I just don't think they're a prerequisite or that they pose a particular special danger of conversion. When the time comes for gulags - and we're getting close - the absence of existing facilities for conversion will not be an impediment in the slightest. Gulags are cheap, easy and fast to build. When we get to that stage, the existing "camps" all around the country - from the county jail to the military base to the government warehouse - will all be converted anyway if needed. We have plenty of "camps" right now - we just tend to call them "prisons" or "military bases."

Yeah, that's another bullshitty talking point from the pro-open borders crowd.

What fucking year do they think this is? Have they ever SEEN a farm?

Most crop harvesting is completely mechanized these days. People aren't cutting down wheat with machetes. We have combines. In fact, all mass produced staple foods are harvested with machines.

There are some crops that can be mechanized, and sometimes are, but it is cheaper to use manual labor. That would change if there weren't a bajillion illegals available. They'd just mechanize the harvesting. So, yes, almond prices would likely go up slightly.

and then there are very specific crops that are hard to mechanize because they're so fragile. But like... I think we can all make the sacrifice of paying $2 extra for a bottle of California wine. It won't kill anyone.

By the time the meat puppets first term is over we will have added enough illegal aliens to fill up the state of Illinois.

The fight is largely over as just those 12 million will eventually become 24 million in a short time.

I mean, how do you say baby boom in Spanish?

There are only 148.25 million people who file tax returns, regardless of citizenship status or level of tax paid. It's a proxy - bad one, but nonetheless - for "people working here legally and retirees."

I don't have a definitive answer for you. The short, incomplete answer is the garment represents modesty and has symbols that remind us of the Temple endowment and promises we make to God at that time.

We also point to God's commandment to Moses to make special clothing for Aaron for "glory and beauty...that he may minister unto me in the priest's office" Exodus 28:2-3
