A FOIA demand has exposed photographs of the Presidential Cocaine Reserve discovered on July 2nd. The Secret Service and FBI have been unable to determine who brought Hunter Biden's cocaine into the White House.

cocainebag.jpg

Remember how the press kept insisting this was such a "tiny" amount of cocaine we should have no interest in it? As if it were a trace amount found in the dust on the mantle?

It's a one-inch square dimebag. It's a small amount -- like the amount you take with you on a trip for personal use. That's not "very tiny." If drugs were Halloween candy, this dime bag would be Fun-Size. No, it's not a brick of cocaine that a smuggler hides in a tire, and it's not a big stash one keeps in a safe. It's an overnight dimebag of coke. That is not "very tiny." It's a very common amount of coke for a cocaine user to have on himself.

Everything the media tells you is a malicious lie.

The wealthy owner of a golf club waived the $34,000 sign-up fee for then-Vice-President Joe Biden, and Biden, of course, never disclosed this bribe as income. (Spoiler: It is income. If someone gives you a $50,000 car, that's $50,000 in income.)

He should have reported it. Maybe as a "loan repayment."

Crime is so bad in DC that the Secret Service agents assigned to Joe Biden's granddaughter just opened up fire on thieves attempting to break into their (parked) SUV.

Secret Service agents protecting President Joe Biden's granddaughter Naomi opened fire after three suspects tried to break into an unmarked Secret Service vehicle.opened fire after three suspects tried to break into an unmarked Secret Service vehicle.

The agents, assigned to protect Naomi Biden, 29 and the daughter of Hunter Biden, were out with her in the Georgetown neighborhood late Sunday night when they saw the three people breaking a window of the parked and unoccupied SUV, the Secret Service said in a statement.

Around 11:58 pm ET, one of the agents opened fire, but no one was struck by the gunfire. The incident took place near Naomi Biden's Georgetown home, NBC News reported.

...

'The offenders immediately fled the scene in a red vehicle and a regional lookout was issued to supporting units. There was no threat to any protectees and the incident is being investigated by the DC Metropolitan Police Department and the Secret Service.'

Naomi Biden, the daughter of Hunter Biden and his first wife Kathleen Buhle. As President Biden's oldest grandchild, she receives Secret Service protection as a direct member of the first family.

I'm going to guess that she might also receive occasional Loan Repayments from Joe Biden's Chinese connections.

This year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade will be a "non-binary and transgender extravaganza."

Nearly 17,000 people have signed an online petition decrying a 'non-binary and transgender extravaganza' at the upcoming Thanksgiving Day Parade, over two gender non-conforming performers in the line-up.

A petition organized by One Million Moms, part of the conservative American Family Association, says the event will expose 'tens of millions of viewers at home to the liberal LGBTQ agenda.'

In their petition, One Million Moms warns Macy's against making a similar mistake.

'Shame on Macy's for promoting and sponsoring this type of entertainment,' the petition says.

'We still cannot trust Macy's Dept. Store. It is clear that Macy's does not have our children's best interests in mind. Macy's needs to know that trust must be earned, and once trust is lost, it is difficult to get back.'

They take aim at the appearance of two trans Broadway stars among the parade line-up of Beagle Scout Snoopy, 'Baby Yoda' Grogu, and other giant balloons, marching bands, and clown crews.

They are Justin David Sullivan, a trans non-binary singer who uses 'he/she/they' pronouns, and Alex Newell, a biological male who presents as female and uses 'all pronouns.'
Sullivan is set to appear in the November 23 parade among the cast members from the Broadway show & Juliet. In the musical, Sullivan plays the role of May, a non-binary friend of Juliet.

On his website, Sullivan says he's 'passionate about diversity and representation' and he in February said he wouldn't take part in the Tony awards because they have male and female categories.

Newell currently appears in another Broadway show, Shucked, in which he plays the character Lulu, who in the song Independently Owned, sings 'I won't change who I've always been / A W-O-M-A-N / W-O-M-A-N.'

You can make up your own minds, but based on the the pictures at the Daily Mail, these two Thems lack the classic markers of physical attractiveness for any gender, including all the imaginary ones.

The absolute narcissism.

Man grabs microphone out of Greta Tardberg's hand when she begins ranting about Israel. He says "I came here for climate deconstruction, not a political view," which makes no sense, but then, he is a stupid ignorant leftwing foreigner.

More from John Sexton. Greta Tardberg now shares the stage with terrorist supporters.

If that is all they are doing, then no for the citizen. However, law enforcement runs under different rules of engagement where they can go out and confront, even threaten or present a weapon aka brandish, but even there--the officers had to have a threat of a violent felony being committed in order to reply with gunfire as that is deadly force.

A carjacking would meet that test but people stealing a car, nope. You can only use enough force to prevent them from stealing the car just like a citizen.

Posted by: 18-1 at November 13, 2023 06:32 PM (XqcwY)

42 Bluebell, Before others weigh in, there are a few states that allow deadly force to be used in hours of darkness for property theft. However, even in places like Texas, depending on the total circumstances involved, a jury may find your use of deadly force unreasonable. Other states may have such laws on the books like Georgia had a citizen's arrest statute. That did not stop the state of GA from trying and convicting three guys for murder who witnessed a trespass but no forcible felony by a suspect. The suspect tried to grab the shotgun of one of them to escape from a road blockade but got killed doing it. Jury said murder.

Generally speaking, a bad idea to use deadly force for property theft under current laws in almost every jurisdiction. Even if not criminally charged, you may face a lawsuit trying to win the lottery of wrongful death.

It looks like it was in a cubby. The kind used to temporarily store cell phones before entering a high security meeting, for example.

There are some highly specific circumstances involved in Texas including time (night) and place (defense other property can be a bit tricky) and you can still face a civil suit afterwards.

Some people have been charged and convicted of wrongful killings even in Texas if the jury finds that their use of deadly force was unreasonable (aka for trespass only with no proof of theft etc.).

79 I was the Chief of Police at a VA hospital. Lots of vets with criminal records (sometimes serious) work as cooks and janitors there.

One day, one of them asked me for legal advice. He had seen neighbors siphoning gas from his car (he lived in an apartment complex), and he was considering borrowing a gun from his cousin (as a prior felon, he couldn't own a gun) so, the next time they did it, he could go out and "shoot them in the leg", because he figured he'd get in trouble if he just killed them outright. He wanted to run it by someone he trusted first, though, just in case his analysis was off.

One of the problems with low iq is the inability to consider future consequences of their own actions and short time horizon for decisionmaking. 104 79 I was the Chief of Police at a VA hospital.

96 How do castle laws (MO has one) affect use of force to defend property? Generally would it be justified to shoot if someone is stealing the car from my driveway or does it have to be in the garage?
Posted by: Catherine
------
Castle laws are highly specific to a state but a garage may or may not count (attached versus detached, breezeway connection, etc.) as a curtilege of the homestead--the driveway probably not.

Mitch Vilos has a book that covers state by state laws including jury instructions and relevant court cases. Bit old but might be useful as a start. Andrew Branca also has some state specific information too in his Law of Self Defense series.

Generally speaking, a very bad idea to go outside a safe place and confront criminals stealing property because a) even the most skillful gunslinger can have an off day, and b) even if you win, you could lose at the courthouse and pay exponential legal fees. About 10-15k for legal representation for just the grand jury/pretrial and easily 50k and up for a criminal trial.

Self defense is a difficult area of the law because media reports often leave out a lot of details that a prosecutor, police, and possibly a jury sees. Tell me the summation of facts of the case as given to the prosecutor and I can make a reasonable prediction as to whether or not they might be charged with a crime. The jurisdiction matters as well, what flies in Dallas may not in Austin. That can be seen by how a guy who shot an Antifa guy with a gun and claimed self defense was convicted.

Look at the Michael Brown case, the officer involved was lucky that the St. Louis County prosecutor did the right thing and released all the grand jury transcripts and evidence. That more or less sandbagged the DOJ from a post civil rights violation charge against the cop.

Suicide vests, RPGs, motorcycles used to kidnap Israelis to Gaza, diapers, chairs with rope to hold hostages, all in the basement of the Rantisi hospital in Gaza.

The hospital was used by Hamas as a command center and is believed to have held Israeli hostages.

That guy went armed to locate his car and the thief pulled a gun on him when confronted and started the gun battle. That is one of those difficult cases turning on facts where jurisdiction matters as far as the prosecutors frame of mind and the state's laws (precedents and statutes).

Some states or even in Texas a specific jurisdiction, the aggrieved car owner might have faced a grand jury investigation at the least.

Can be, depends on whether California has a duty to retreat in their own home which I don't think it does unless the law changed recently. California also does not have a duty to retreat in public either as long as you are peaceably minding your business.

But, what can get you is whether or not the person represented a threat to you inside the house--someone grabbing a tv and running for the door--even under the Castle Doctrine, it is unwise to shoot unless you like to play legal lottery.

Entering in a tumultuous fashion such as kicking a door in is a bit different than someone sneaks in through an unlocked door and grabs something to steal and leave.

Bunch of sites with good legal advice for your state usually if your state has a good firearms owners interest group. Some good general forums are the High Road and our Weasel's gunthread on Sunday evenings.

Lot of caselaw on curtilege apart from self defense because of search and seizure cases and that is a complex thicket of laws.

Yep. Are you growing pot in your garage for example? or on your back patio? Ditto for where the police are entitled to observe using plain sight. Having drug dogs on the porch with a cop with no probable cause or even reasonable suspicion to be there, Scotus says that is a violation of your curtilage.

No body, No crime is a thing that prosecutors like to flaunt at police but no body just means you have to have substantial circumstantial evidence in order to convict.

251 15 3 Is it legal to open fire at someone trying to break into your car?
Posted by: bluebell
-------
If that is all they are doing, then no for the citizen.
