Fauci Paid a Lab to Infect Bats with a Coronovirus Gotten from His Chinese Partners In 2018
I've mentioned this before, but this article from JustTheNews provides more details.
The virus Fauci' buds infected the bats with has been identified as a SARS-type virus. Covid-19 is a SARS virus.White Coat Waste is forced to sue, of course, because NIH refuses to supply details about this project. Meanwhile, a Japanese team has found that covid-19 could not have evolved naturally. Therefore, it seems that it must have been engineered in a lab. I don't think the actual paper has the guts to say that, instead preferring to say only that "Omicron variants were formed by an entirely new mechanism that cannot be explained by previous biology." You mean like, in a lab? They won't say. Just that no previously observed biological evolution can explain this. Note that the source for the story quoted, the World Tribune, seems to not be a high-credibility outlet. But the paper it's reporting on does exist -- unless this is a detailed hoax -- so I'll quote it.
A 15-minute drive from the Camp David presidential retreat, a low-rated zoo gave the National Institutes of Health several bats to infect with a coronavirus from the same Chinese lab that some federal agencies believe is responsible for the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak, according to a new investigation and published research. The White Coat Waste Project, which fights taxpayer funding of "wasteful government animal experiments," said Monday it's using Freedom of Information Act requests to get more details about the taxpayer-funded experiments documented in a 2018 paper in the journal Viruses. Former National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci oversaw the NIH's Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Montana when it did the research with bats from Maryland's Catoctin Wildlife Preserve, whose Director of Animal Health Laurie Hahn is a former NIH "lead veterinary technician" for animal research. The Viruses paper, authored by Montana lab researchers and Wuhan Institute of Virology collaborator Ralph Baric, of the University of North Carolina, determined that the "SARS-like WIV1-coronavirus" first isolated from Chinese rufous horseshoe bats could not cause a "robust infection" in the 12 Egyptian fruit bats from the zoo. Four were euthanized and tested.

Japanese researchers have found that all variants of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid, were in fact made in a laboratory. The study, led by Japanese professors Atsuki Tanaka and Takayuki Miyazawa of Osaka Medical University and Kyoto University, sought to trace the historical evolution of the omicron variant of the virus. To trace the variant's origins, Tanaka and Miyazawa wrote in a new paper titled "Unnaturalness in the Evolution Process of the SARS-CoV-2 variants and the possibility of deliberate natural selection", they studied viral sequences found "in the wild" and deposited in public databases.

The researchers said they found around 100 separate omicron subvariants that could not conceivably have arisen through natural processes. The existence of these variants seems to provide definitive proof of large-scale lab creation of Covid viruses, Tanaka and Miyazawa wrote. Tanaka and Miyazawa state in the paper:... "The analysis showed that Omicron variants were formed by an entirely new mechanism that cannot be explained by previous biology, and knowing how the SARS-CoV-2 variants were formed prompts a reconsideration of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic." ...
Tanaka and Miyazawa said they could not conclude "that these viruses were artificially synthesized and distributed based on malicious intent." But they did assert that the variants could not have formed naturally, meaning they could have only been engineered in a lab.

Was it the low-intensity version engineered and released to crowd out the old version - essentially, a kind of pseudo-vaccine, or was it supposed to be even worse and deadlier but it didn't work out that way?

The very first reports out of Wuhan claimed SARS-Cov-19 was manufactured. It was walked back within a couple days.
I tend to believe the first reports on this particular op. Not because it was the Chinese who let it loose, but because the Chinese first reported it.
The walking back was done by the US.
At least, this is my recollection of the events back when the first reports surfaced. The US knew it was manufactured and by who. What followed was a huge CYA op. The lockdowns and election tampering were afterthoughts. "Never let a good crisis go to waste."

These labs aren't crazy wealthy or set up like Fort Knox. Their disease storage is going to tend to be centralized in one, if not a small handful of areas. Improper disposal or getting into a ventilation system and you've got a breakout.
Part of the reason this kind of research is crazy is that over time you're basically guaranteed to have stuff get out.

Since Omicron was genotyped it was found to be not part of the post "initial release" evolution of Covid, and since it had a lower mortality rate, it was speculated at the time that it was generated in a lab to be as infectious, but less dangerous than the initial type, and released intentionally to blunt the Covid infection by getting all the people not infected to date and giving them immunity.

These labs aren't crazy wealthy or set up like Fort Knox. Their disease storage is going to tend to be centralized in one, if not a small handful of areas. Improper disposal or getting into a ventilation system and you've got a breakout.
Part of the reason this kind of research is crazy is that over time you're basically guaranteed to have stuff get out.

It was there, you just had to look for it. A lot of the Malaria Belt had very, very low COVID mortality. That could be because of widespread use of Ivermectin (it is an antimalarial, after all), or because that part of Africa is very young (young people didn't die from COVID as a rule), it could be a racial/genetic component, etc. But mortality wasn't very high and so it didn't make much news.
In other parts of the continent, the real problem was the same as it is here: the response strangling off the productive economy and catastrophic spending. South Africa's fiscal crisis they are in - they're getting close to currency failure and fiscal collapse territory, though aren't there yet - has been brewing for a long time, but COVID response helped push it off the cliff.

Fauci lead the effort for gain-of-function research to make the virus more infectious. This was for one reason - to kill off the richest and most expensive population group in the country. If successful, the demographic that eats up over 50% of the healthcare dollar spending in the U.S. would be eliminated, making Universal Care totally affordable and the sudden shift in trillions of wealth would stimulate the economy. For the government, it's a win-win. Not so much for Granny.

I think it's likely the release of the original virus was a regional effort to cull the elderly...and it spread beyond their control. If you're ex-IDF ? And get this kids, a significant portion don't do their full term. The you can get your one handgun and one box of fifty rounds at 20. Assuming you pass all the checks and attend all the classes.
Or, if you worked Civil Service ? You can get that one gun and one box at 25. If you didn't check one of those boxes ? Then, at 45, you can get your box.

In most of those towns, they simply walked through the middle of the street and did what they wished.

Just my opinion, based on nothing specific. The original Covid-19 was the blackhats playing with shit they shouldn't be and it got out. Omicron was one or more white hats trying to blunt the impact of the original strain.
