Karine Jean-Pierre Attempts to Walk Back Her Antisemitism

As you probably know, Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about a rise in antisemitism and anti-Jewish hate crimes in the US, and claimed that there was "no credible threat" to any Jews in America, and then pivoted to talking about "Islamophobia" and anti-Muslim hate crimes, despite the fact that there are more than six times as many anti-Jewish hate crimes as anti-Muslim.

Even Democrats have a problem with this obvious antisemitism-- her complete unwillingness to admit that there is hatred against Jews, or maybe she just thinks such hatred, like the terrorist attacks in Gaza, is justified.

Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) took aim at White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for providing a "weak answer" on antisemitism amid the ongoing fighting between Israel and the militant group Hamas.
When answering a question about the level of concern about the rise of antisemitism due to the Israel-Hamas conflict, Jean-Pierre said that officials have "not seen any credible threats" before speaking about crimes targeting Muslims and Arab Americans.

Moskowitz criticized that response on social media Monday.
"What a weak answer. And why are you looking in the book? What's the approved answer? The simple answer is yes, you are concerned about the rise of antisemitism. Of course we are also worried about hatred against Muslim Americans. Must do better," Moskowitz wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, in response to Jean-Pierre's remarks on antisemitism.

Now this very stupid, very incompetent, very hateful bigot claims that she "misheard" the question, despite her answer to the question being completely responsive to what was asked -- just in a hateful, antisemitic way.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has an excuse for making an insensitive remark regarding Jews in the aftermath of the Hamas-Israel War.
She "misheard" the question. Or so she claims.
KJP at a press conference on Monday reacted by highlighting the alleged threat of Islamophobia, while minimizing the major surge of anti-Semitism across the country and particularly on college campuses.
Jean-Pierre had been asked how worried the Biden administration was about rising antisemitism.
She said that the White House had not seen "any credible threats" about increasing hostility against Jews in America. After that, she quickly pivoted to talking about the small but serious number of "hate-fueled attacks" against Arab and Muslim Americans.
"Muslims and those perceived to be Muslim have endured a disproportionate number of hate-fueled attacks," she claimed.
But on Tuesday, KJP had come up with an excuse in an exclusive statement delivered to Politico.
"I did mishear the question," Jean-Pierre claimed in a statement.
"As I have footstomped many times from the podium and on the air, antisemitism is an abomination that this President has fought against his entire life; and I feel strongly about that work. That's why, in the briefing room, I have blasted the repulsive increase in antisemitic rhetoric, conspiracy theories, and hate crimes in our nation, calling out that, tragically, this is a rising threat."
As the Press Secretary, it is odd that Jean-Pierre would leak an excuse for not doing her job to a White House-friendly media outlet.

There's been a material move in Jewish voting habits over the past decade or so. 2022 saw them voting Republican at 33%, the highest ever, after decades of going at least 80% for Democrats.

I don't know if it's because of changing voting habits of individuals or changing demographics (Orthodox having more kids than Reform over the decades, for instance), but this small slice of the electorate is becoming more Hispanic in voting habit than Black.

Replacement theory though. Religiousity is a thing. The religious have hope; the non-religious by and large do not. Which group do you think will have kids at a higher rate? Which group is more likely to form childless relationships?

Simply put, Judaism is both ethnicity and religion and the ethnicity only portion is shrinking every year while the ethnicity and religion Judaism is growing leaps and bounds because babies. Same as in Israel btw. which is why the Labor party of old is shrinking in its appeal.

You find a lot of romanticizing of more primitive cultures across the left these days. Which is at odds with a lot of more traditional leftist critiques of those same societies that arose out of those places because of the largely aristocratic and feudal natures of them.

this particular one is the "school librarians" doing it. They want to feel like they are "fighting censorship" so they claim any book taken out of a school library is a "banned book". Never mind that the book in question is readily available at public libraries, bookstores, Amazon, etc.

I've never met anyone who works in "education" who is intelligent. They are all steeped in leftist cliches and incapable of independent thought. Unfortunately, I don't have the time, energy, and patience to homeschool my kids (I'm a divorced father and only have my kids 1/2 the time anyway). I do try to engage them to make them think about the things they are taught at school though.

That is part of the problem with modern conservatism. A crazy person crapping on the streets just wants to be left alone to do drugs, harass people for money, etc. A good society addresses that situation by balancing the individual and society which can happen justly in a society with high trust.

A low trust society which is created by fundamental societal disagreement about what is good, bad, ugly, or beautiful, etc. So you get a crazy person killing themself usually via od, getting killed by a fellow street person, or ending up in jail for being caught and punished randomly committing some crime.

It's logically impossible to be that. In order to be "socially liberal" you have to support spending all kinds of tax money on all kinds of things - which makes being "fiscally conservative" an impossibility. You can't be for all of the social programs and ideas of the left and not understand that those all have significant financial costs.

These are just people who realize the country is being bankrupted so want to sound like they have some kind of rational stance, but they really do not. They are, for lack of a better word, idiots.

I suggest they vote for people who will actually enforce our immigration laws, secure the border, etc. The people who vote democrat vote pretty specifically for an open border - which I cannot understand why anyone who is paid hourly would do.

People who vote for republicans need to pay closer attention to the ones who claim to want a secure border (most of the GOPe) versus those who actually want a secure border.

443 I've never met anyone who works in "education" who is intelligent. They are all steeped in leftist cliches and incapable of independent thought. Unfortunately, I don't have the time, energy, and patience to homeschool my kids (I'm a divorced father and only have my kids 1/2 the time anyway). I do try to engage them to make them think about the things they are taught at school though.

El Ed used to be considered the lowest of the low in the pecking order of majors in the 1980s. You had to make up something like "Underwater Basketweaving" to get below it.

This was before the explosion of "Studies" majors so the pecking order might have changed a little. But I doubt it.

According to the good Colonel, he believe Iran has enough long range missile capability that they will destroy American ships and aircraft before we can bring them to the fore on the battlefield.

And then he expects Turkey and Russia to participate against any U.S. action that escalates. His overall opinion is, we'd probably lose that war. Short of bringing nooks to the game.

Inside the Gulf is an extremely claustrophobic situation for a naval task force of any size. Some doubt that air and missile defenses of a naval task forces are any good at all, but being so close to the rugged terrain of Iran is going to degrade what we do have.

But the problem is, for a war, is what do we do then? Sailing around being shot at will cause losses. We can bomb some areas but that's unlikely to be where Iran has its missile factories.
