Secretary of State Blinken Holding "Listening Sessions" to Hear Staffers Literally Crying About Biden's Alleged Support of Israel

Secretary of State Antony Blinken held "listening sessions" with Muslim, Arab-American and Jewish staffers amid growing internal frustration over the department's handling of the war in Israel and Gaza.
The meetings came after a State Department official resigned in protest this week over continued US support for an Israeli bombing campaign in the Gaza Strip that the Hamas-run health ministry says has killed more than 4,000 people.

Please stop repeating this completely made-up claim.

On Friday afternoon, Blinken met with a small group of State Department staffers who are members of two Arab-American and Muslim employee organizations. The top US diplomat also had a meeting arranged with a group of Jewish employees at the department.

I have a feeling the latter was arranged to provide cover for the Islamist whiners.

A source familiar with one of the meetings called it "an opportunity [for Blinken] to hear directly from the workforce since his trip to the region."
The source declined to elaborate out of respect for the individuals in attendance.

Blinken's meetings come as The Huffington Post reports that US diplomats are drafting a dissent cable over the Biden administration's approach to the conflict. A dissent cable is an internal channel for officials to privately express their concerns.

Since Hamas' Oct. 7 terror attack on Israel, fighting in the region has killed more than 4,000 people, and Israel is preparing a ground invasion of Gaza that is expected to claim tens of thousands of additional lives.

The Huffington Post makes the 4,000 people killed claim this time without even acknowledging the source is Hamas.

But the Huffington Post will never, ever be subject to a social media monopoly disinformation penalty.

The left is allowed to propagandize. I guess because their other alternative is setting bombs and killing bank guards.

Two officials told HuffPost that diplomats are preparing what's called a "dissent cable," a document criticizing American policy that goes to the agency's leaders through a protected internal channel.
Such cables are seen within the State Department as consequential statements of serious disagreement at key historical moments. The dissent channel was established amid deep internal conflict during the Vietnam War, and diplomats have since then used it to warn that the U.S. is making dangerous and self-defeating choices abroad.
The cable would come in the wake of Josh Paul, a veteran State Department official, announcing his resignation on Wednesday. After more than a decade of working on arms deals, he said, he could not morally support the U.S.'s moves to supply Israel's war effort.
"In the last 24 hours, I've been getting an immense amount of outreach from colleagues... with really encouraging words of support and a lot of people saying they feel the same way and it's very difficult for them," said Paul, whose departure was first reported by HuffPost.

Yes. Close to four inches of it. Worse than that in Calgary. And it was cold, too. Sixteen degrees F when I arrived, and still chilly now, but the storm has passed and the Sun is shining. Took me nearly three hours to drive home from the airport, normally an 80-minute run.

1. There are no rules in war except to crush your enemy.
2. This is not terrorism, but war as they define it.
3. They are not "pre-civilizational," (VDH term) but this is how their civilization is defined. The West (as Barry Weiss almost gets) is deluded to think our civilization the norm. We live in a hostile world and need to act appropriately or perish.
4. Israel is not at war with hamas, but with Gaza as a political entity. Distinguishing hamas from Gaza is a trick to hobble our response.
5. This is a war of the West against islam. It has been going on for 1400 years and this is how it is done. We have to accept that the two are incompatible and we must either destroy or isolate ourselves from this. We can not survive by fighting a war on their terms, or using our morality.

That means deportations or imprisonment (camps!) for supporters of these groups which show any support for their war, including those whiners at State.

It also means strict control of education of children to eliminate indoctrination. (This is a much much bigger subject than pixy's limit will allow, so I leave it here.)

In this regard I shuddered when I first heard the use of the term "rage virus" in the 28 Days\Weeks movies, and then saw the same disease manifested in other films, World War Z for example.

We're there now, "and this virus... is airborne..."

Sadly, whereas the zombies in the movies were easily recognizable and apparently couldn't handle weapons, the real-life zombies can be extremely difficult to identify and have no trouble handling weapons at a high enough level of skill to kill and maim in great numbers to the point that entire civilizations are now at risk.

I do not see this phenomenon abating...

There has been talk for over a decade about ceramic capacitors for cars, but nothing yet. The one I read years ago had issues when the ceramic was damaged, so car accidents were a big issue. Who knows until someone can do independent tests under various loading, temp, and humidity conditions.

the CEO of Toyota very directly said they have no interest in EVs until they can be made with certain specifications that were mostly battery related.

Their EV participation has been minimal.

But, their research dept is known to be pretty awesome.

Having said that, using ammonia does come with its risks. Ammonia would emit a lot of nitrogen in an engine which doesn't have a high compression ratio, and also the fact that constant exposure of it can be fatal to humans.

And you have to make ammonia. There are no ammonia wells. The normal feedstock to make it? Natural gas.

They probably are including energy used to make the ammonia and the vehicle. There is a large fraud behind the scenes which fakes the numbers on all this. So first they assume all energy comes from wind/solar. (disregarding the energy required to make that work) so that is zero carbon. Then they use fraudulent data to calculate the energy needed to make the vehicle, tires, etc. This fraud infrastructure was all built up to justify EV but it is too deep into economic and technical details so everyone plays along.

For example, the copper used to make motors requires mining, refining, transportation, and manufacturing. There is database of how much carbon is used to make copper wire, but that data is garbage and ignores most inputs. But everyone makes believe it is accurate and calculates that EV use very little carbon to produce.

Pretty pointless, especially since it's going to be pumping out a lot of smog-causing oxides of nitrogen. Maybe the smog will help stop the sun's evil rays from warming the planet or something.

The max energy you can get out of heat engine is dependent on the differential in air temp vs. combustion temp, and will never, ever hit 100%. Start there. As inefficiencies add up, the max possible range goes down.
Aerodynamics, heat-to-mechanical motion losses, and so forth. I've never done the calcs myself.
