The Morning Report — 10/19/23

stinkblinknod.jpg

Good morning, kids. I had thought that the unprecedented barbaric massacre of nearly 1,500 unarmed, innocent civilians would finally have been the straw to break the camel's back in Israel unleashing a terrible swift sword on Gaza. Alas, as time drags on and the IDF delays the full on assault, I'm fearing that what needs to get done will once again be shelved. And this rather disturbing report underscores my fears:

Speaking from her home in Israel, [real journalist Caroline] Glick said, “We are in danger of losing ... sovereign control over our military.”

She then presented what sources told her really happened when secretary of state Tony Blinken met with Israel’s war cabinet on Monday.

“From what came out of the meeting, Tony Blinken wasn’t trying to help Israel at all.  What he was doing was demanding that Israel enable resupply to Gaza, the euphemism of which is ‘humanitarian aid.’”  She continued to say that Blinken threatened to withhold American war materiel from Israel, such as bunker buster bombs and regular ordinance.

And Israel didn’t just decide to invite Biden.  His [junta] demanded that Israel invite him, she said, adding, “I don’t know; ask his presidential campaign.”

While Israel’s forces have been being held in limbo at the Gaza border, those charged with carrying out the mission began demanding they be allowed to go in.  They cited difficulties in maintaining the readiness and morale of troops as well as a loss of the momentum they had after the October 7 massacre.  Glick said that lapse in time also allowed the international media to turn on Israel.  “We have all these Hamas supporters throughout the Western world who are feeling empowered, and not unreasonably given the backing they’re receiving from the media.”

Most disturbingly, Glick said commanders at the southern border were told, “We can’t do anything until Biden leaves.  So that Biden is literally acting as a human shield for Hamas — so long as he hasn’t arrived yet, and hasn’t left yet, their terror state is going to be free from invasion.”

She continued to stress that demands to get humanitarian aid to Gaza are demands to resupply Hamas because they control every person and inch of land in Gaza. . .

. . .Making matters worse, the U.S. said they would supply Israel with the bombs, but they weren’t allowed to use them against the missile launching sites — i.e., the UNRWA schools and hospitals.

It is well known that “Hamas military headquarters have been, for years, located under Shifa Hospital,” Glick said.

What Glick described about Blinken’s demands amounted to extortion: if Israel didn’t open up a humanitarian corridor — i.e., allow Hamas to be resupplied — the U.S. wouldn’t provide the bunker buster bombs and the ordinance for Israel’s fighter jets.  Without those things, IDF ground forces would likely be slaughtered like the victims of October 7.

Adding insult to injury, Glick’s sources said the U.S. told Israel they weren’t allowed to “open up a war” with Lebanon despite being bombed from Hezb’allah in the north. . .

. . . Responding to Biden’s one word for those threatening Israel — “don’t” — Glick asked, “Where’s the ‘or else’?  What are you going to do?  Because [on Wednesday, October 18] the U.N. sanctions that bar Iran from selling or purchasing ballistic missiles on the international market are set to expire ... Iran is going to be able to purchase and sell as many ballistic missiles wherever it wants, to whoever it wants, at whatever price.”

Concluding her remarks, Glick questioned the roles of agents in Biden’s administration like Ariane Tabatabai, who, despite being outed for checking in with Iran’s Foreign Ministry before U.S. policy meetings, has never been fired.  Also in her focus were Hady Amr, the 1st United States special representative for Palestinian Affairs (born in Lebanon) and appointed by Biden in 2022, as well as Maher Bitar, the Palestinian American in charge of the flow of intelligence for the Biden White House.

So, now we have a pretty good idea why Israel, despite dropping a shit-ton of ordnance have not gone in with as massive an armored ground assault from the moment they could secure their own territory and mobilized their forces, and why Biden was shoved into AF-1 and sent into a war zone. Because his handlers knew, or at least took the chance that Hamas would see this as a tactical if not strategic victory in restraining the inevitable onslaught.

And Bibi has seemingly blown it, harder than Kamala Harris during Fleet Week.

This illegitimate, illegal junta that seized power via a stolen election is holding Israel hostage every bit as much as Hamas is holding Israeli civilians (assuming they're still alive). "We fully stand behind Israel" Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants declared without a dementia freeze. Yeah, Biden is standing behind Israel ready to shove it off a cliff.

All that fake puffery was just that. Words hastily written out for him in a panic when the initial images of burned bodies, beheaded infants, desecrated corpses and shrieking women carried off to be gang-raped temporarily short-circuited the propaganda machine and for once allowed the world to see at long last the reality of who the barbarians really are and who the victims. Speaking of the media and anti-Semites, one of the biggest tropes around is that Jews control the media. Considering the instantaneous newsflashes around the world that the Estes rocket that took out a few cars in a parking lot was an evil Joo-missile that killed 500 civilians in a hospital, with Jews like that, who needs Hamas? But I digress.

Despite that misfired Hamas missile being confirmed as just that, the media damage was done. To a crisp. They succeeded in setting off not only massive sales for the glycerine tears industry, but perhaps lit the fuse not only on another Arab spring, but perhaps a faked casus belli for the Iranians to openly declare war on Israel either from southern Lebanon or Iran itself via MRBMs. In fact, things are heating up in the Bekaa Valley as we speak.

Funny how Biden and the world never called upon Zelensky to show restraint in retaliating against Russia. And I can't find anywhere in my history books the time when FDR told Ike to keep the landing craft on standby off Omaha Beach so he can fly into Berlin and hand Hitler some pallets of cash as "humanitarian aid." He trusts old Adolf to use that money for civilian aid and not bullets. Or Zyklon-B.

Back to Iran, for the past 44 years, that captured nation has been the leading source of global terrorism, be it financial, logistical or in many cases operational. Jimmy Carter and the same America-last and least anti-Semites at Foggy Bottom who, like every other agency and department in our government have the least qualified most inept people leading them and making policy, are the root cause of this problem. When the Shah of Iran, who was a staunch ally in a most strategic part of the globe, was under the gun, Carter threw him under the bus and embraced Ayatollah Khomeini, who turned around and kicked him in the peanuts. Lest we forget the Camp David accords which included the gun at the head of Menachem Begin to "negotiate" with Yasser Arafat. By negotiate, I mean of course lay the groundwork for surrender and the wave of terrorism and intifadas that followed.

So, what to do about Iran? They are at the heart of this. Without the mullahs in power, this greatest attack on Israel in 50 years, which is turning more and more into its greatest existential threat, never would have happened. Some are making the case to finally take them out. Oh boy.

Now Israel is facing the difficult task of neutralizing Hamas to ensure such carnage like 10/7 never happens again. The Biden administration has made the right sounds with its rhetoric of support, the president’s visit to Israel, and the deployment of two Carrier Strike Groups to the region. But mere deterrence is not going to solve the biggest problem: Iran and its genocidal regime that for 44 years has attacked this country and stained its hands with American blood, as well as financing and training Israel’s terrorist enemies.

Now is the time to defeat this enemy, before it starts producing nuclear weapons and raises the stakes exponentially. The U.S. certainly has the means to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities. The two Carrier Strike Groups now in the region are the most powerful non-nuclear weapons in the world. Tom Sharpe in the Daily Telegraph has detailed the awesome firepower of a CSGs:

“The ship itself is the largest aircraft carrier ever built and she carries an air group more powerful than many national air forces. Add to this a Ticonderoga class cruiser and three Arleigh Burke destroyers, all four ships loaded for bear with Tomahawk land-attack cruise missiles and the Aegis missile shield capable of knocking down any threat from sea-skimming ship killers to satellites in low orbit. Then there are special forces, US Marines, logistics support and a couple of force elements that don’t appear in the photos. The firepower is remarkable even before you factor in other USN assets not directly associated with the CSG.”

Deploy these lethal assets to the Persian Gulf, and supplement them with GBU-72 “bunker-buster” bombs, and there’s more than enough destructive power to eliminate Iran’s nuclear weapons facilities, or at the very least set the program back for multiple decades. As for Israel, we should support her not just with words but with whatever action and materiel will help her to prevail.

All we need is the will, and the confidence that our cause is just enough to accept the “awful arithmetic” necessary in a fallen world.

Bruce Thornton is right. Except he's a few years too late. Even if we could turn back time five or even 10 years, I would not be so sanguine about direct military action.

If elections have consequences, extrapolate that out to stolen elections. Iran was absolutely on the ropes in January of 2020 after one of its major players Qassem Soelimani was taken out by PDT. And then, we all know what happened to us and the world after that. What’s done is done. Considering the situation on the Risk board right now, engaging in a first-strike on Iran would result in touching off Armageddon.

We don’t even have the munitions thanks to the madness in propping up Ukraine, to say nothing of the morale and preparedness of the troops thanks to the insane “woke” agenda of the DOD. Iran can be neutralized much more strategically and covertly. Given the internal strife, the regime can still crumble from within with just a little covert help and international pressure.

But given the players involved and what their allegiances are and their belief systems about who are the good guys and who the bad, and worse what the purpose of war really is, a US military strike on Iran right now is folly to the point of madness. An attack on Iran draws in China and Russia and then a whole lot of heads of hair are going to get mussed, good and hard.

Meanwhile, we had an honest to goodness insurrection at the Capitol yesterday and neither Malig-Nancy Pelosi, Jamie Raskin nor Adam Schiff-for-Brains could be found calling it "the greatest threat to our precious democracy since the Civil War and 9/11 combined."

Heh. "9/11." Remember that one?

No, but you will find the equivalent - over and over again - for the USSR. The key distinction, of course, is that Stalin was sending wave after wave of men into the German meat grinder and keeping the Nazis busy on the Eastern Front but even if he hadn't been, he would have been kept flush with Studebaker trucks, machine tools and cash.

They can also attack all of Israel too.

To go after Iran they need to be in the Persian Gulf, which is narrow and contested, or the Arabian Sea. IIRC there's a "marine expeditionary force" in that region. Nowhere near a carrier's strength, but still capable.

After a decade (less the three years of the Trump administration) of direct subsidy and support and the two decades prior of "diplomacy" that kept them just off the ropes? Good plan. The prophet Isaiah could’ve been talking about the current US fed guv when he wrote: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

Everything is upside down and I never thought I’d see the day when we turned our back on Israel in favor of murdering death-cult terrorists. Isaiah also wrote (in chapter 3 of his prophecy) that weak rulers were a judgement on a nation. Perhaps we’re under judgement (see Biden, Joseph R)

Our regime can hurl all the money and weaponry it wants into these conflicts, but I think, for now anyway, that's about all it can do.

50 If anyone is curious, by the way, about what actual power looks like, you need only look at Biden's trip to Israel.

A foreign head of state essentially bullied his way into the country, compelled them to welcome him publicly and give an address to its people and during that address, that foreign head of state announced that he would be resupplying the country that invaded them and that they'd better not be too mean about it - and then they let him leave outside of a body bag.

*That* - for better or worse - is what real power looks like. America still has it. In some venues. For now.

59 With the situation Israel faces, why would the IDF be in a position to need US munitions anyway? Why wouldn't they be able to manufacture everything they need? They sure as hell have the technology. The tech sector in Israel is easily a match for anywhere in the world. I've worked in it. Especially with the common knowledge that the globalist left has taken control of the hollowed-out and desiccated former United States, why would the Israelis be in a position to need US globalist-leftist approval to conduct military operations?

I kind of doubt it, but something like that is possible. Or they've built a couple but opted not to test before engagement because it would let the cat out of the bag and they'd rather risk a dud than show their hand.

Iran has an open and clear *desire* to use a nuke - only the capability is question. The Mullahs are not known for patience or circumspection and so my guess is that if they have one, they'll use it more or less immediately. Is this recent action out of Gaza setting the conditions for them to use a nuke? Dunno.

Down here in South Florida, from immediately after the Hamas terrorist attacks to present, the loudest calls have been for Peace. Against this background, Joe's humanitarian intervention was a political no-brainer.

They're almost - but not quite - the Whigs now.

The problem that will cause is in the future. There are many mechanical problems to be sorted out - state laws that assume the GOP exists for election rules, for example - but those aren't too big a problem. The bigger problem is the political environment. When the Whigs imploded, the GOP was able to rise in a comparatively fair and open legal and political environment. That environment does not exist anymore, and hasn't for a long time (in part thanks to the GOP itself, either through action or inaction). If the GOP collapses, *can* another party rise to replace it in the current environment? If not, we are left like any other single-party state, where the factions within the Party battle for control. Look to Mexico or South Africa for an example of how that works. It's a fairly dark prospect.

But the GOP is working manfully to make sure we find out.

If one thing has distinguished, President Biden's administration-excuse me!

If one thing has distinguished President-Regent Blinken's administration,

The "two-state solution" is laughable and always has been. It is unworkable, like we saw following the partition of India. The English imposed a "two-state solution" there that looked remarkably like what is proposed for Israel - albeit at gigantic scale. You had the Hindu country and the Muslim country, with the Muslim country split into two parts with a giant chunk of the Hindu country between them. (And, of course, much war and slaughter during and after the division, as there always will be.)

This is an unstable and stupid idea. The two pieces of the "second state" will split. This happened on the subcontinent (and Bangladesh was born out of what used to be "East Pakistan" and became the third state). It also happened in Israel, where Gaza split off, elected its own government, ejected Fatah and quit answering to the PA.

Gaza *is* the "second state" already.

121 With the situation Israel faces, why would the IDF be in a position to need US munitions anyway? Why wouldn't they be able to manufacture everything they need? They sure as hell have the technology. The tech sector in Israel is easily a match for anywhere in the world. I've worked in it. Especially with the common knowledge that the globalist left has taken control of the hollowed-out and desiccated former United States, why would the Israelis be in a position to need US globalist-leftist approval to conduct military operations?

This is what I was thinking in my first post this morning. If Israel can build its own nukes, why can't they build the rest of the stuff they need?

They can build a lot of it, but if the war drags on and consumes the stockpiles, they will probably need more faster than they can build it. It is also not a resource-rich country and needs a robust chain of imports to do the building. I suspect they actually don't need much if anything at the moment, but that may change in a month or two - especially if the US is actively resupplying its enemies.

154 Politics makes people stupid. As the ultimate high stakes form of politics, war makes people even stupider.

The idea of an American attack on Iran, due to its second order involvement in the war crimes of October 7, is some cross between stupid and devious. In other words, it is the Neocon MO all over again, a repeat of the ramp up to the Iraq invasion. The sane response to October 7 is the destruction of Hamas and the prevention of a future Hamas-like entity in Gaza. There are several means of prevention, including Israeli rule, severe restrictions on trade, de-Islamification of the population, or some combination of these.

And, no, Pakistan, a Sunni nation, would never give Iran, a fundamentalist controlled Shia nation, nuclear warheads. Do you know how many times any nation has ever given any other nation nuclear warheads since their inception? No times. The Knowledge has been conveyed between nations before, but never actual bombs.

Iran? We've been in a Cold War with Iran since 1979. Would this change if they acquired some atomic (not hydrogen) bombs? There is little reason to think it. They would remain vastly inferior to the US militarily & they know it.

Probably. This is also possibly - setting aside the normal motivation of "we are evil and love to destroy" that defines our government - the reason for the recent US actions. Something approaching status quo reduces the odds of a nuclear response.

If Israel decides to finally deal with the Palestinians, it puts the US in a difficult diplomatic position and if it wavers or fails, the odds of a general pan-regional conflagration increase and if that happens, the odds of Israel being cornered and ground into dust increase and if that happens, the odds of a nuclear retaliation out of existential desperation increase.

So the status quo is externally desirable, even with its periodic bloodletting.

I disagree with this part of the assessment. It would change if they got nukes.

During the cold war (the real one), the *ability* for the parties to destroy the world was never in doubt. We could, the Soviets could, the Red Chinese probably could. The entire intelligence and political apparatus was tuned to determining the *desire* (or willingness) of one of the parties to actually do so. The strategic positioning was all geared toward reducing the potential for that desire in the opponent (MAD, proxy wars, etc.).

With states like Iran, desire is the one thing that is not in question. Everything has to be geared toward a different task: gauging and managing the *ability* to do so. A smart country (or just one with a self-preservation instinct) would work hard to avoid their acquisition. We went the opposite direction on that one.

You've just described an empire.

Most of the world is and always has been indefensible for one reason or another. Sometimes it's because of the people, sometimes it's because of resources, sometimes it's because of geography, or various things in combination. The indefensible yet valuable places get colonized or ingested into empires. Once they are part of the empire, they are bound by that empire for better or for worse. If worse, they can try to find another empire to shack up with or they can try to secede - but the deck is stacked against secession because if it were strong enough to stand alone, it likely wouldn't have been part of an empire in the first place. There are of course notable exceptions to the latter (we are one prime example).

186 179 "That potentially breaks down their relationship with the nearby Arab states and also leaves them alone against Russia or China + Iran"

Any alliance between Iran, China and/or Russia is purely one of convenience.

Those countries have historical conflicts and distrust with each other as well.

But until the US takes the sanctions knee off of their necks and stops try to destabilize their political systems, they recognize the US as a bigger threat then the psychopaths on their doorsteps, which is certainly saying something.

Posted by: Bitter Clinger at October 19, 2023 08:55 AM (kmQ16)

Alliances are generally ones of convenience. It remains the case though that if Israel exits the US coalition in the Middle East, they're either dangerously isolated in a region contested by several Great Power coalitions, or they need to join someone else's coalition. The most likely candidate in this case being Russia given previous diplomacy.

When you have one or more countries openly and continuously stating that their number one goal is not the betterment of their people but the destruction and complete annihilation of another people and country it is moronic to think there is any deal that is going to assuage them.

Many muslims are as dedicated to their goal of destroying Israel as the frigging terminator and just like with the terminator the only way to stop them is to destroy them. I don't know any sane person who wants war but then I don't think many muslims are particularly sane in their bloodlust. Israel either destroys them or they destroy Israel.

It's enlightening to understand the Iranian's long term goal, outside of the 12th imam and the religious nonsense - there is a much more serious game playing out there, and it has been for a long time. The middle east has always been a place of Empires, and the Iranians/Persians have never forgotten that theirs was one of the first and one of the greatest. They have always dreamed of a new Persian Empire, stretching from Constantinople to Cairo to Yemen, just like the old one did. And this Empire would control *all* of the oil that Europe and China depend on, and so they believe they would control those two areas as well. That is their deepest dream; that's what they are after. Israel is an annoying burr under their saddle, and they will use the all resources they can muster to annihilate it.

President Vladimir Putin has announced a series of plans to increase the number of children being born in Russia from an average birth rate of under 1.5 per woman to 1.7 within four years.

On Wednesday he told parliament "the birth rate is falling again" before pledging state funding for new mothers.

"Maternity capital" has until now only been paid to families with at least two children.

But how long do we have to sit quietly while he dillies and dailies, doing nothing but a few limited air strikes?

He's not charting a supply line 10,000 miles long, gathering troops from across the world--both are already less than 10 miles from the front.

As others have stated, there's just no way Bibi remains in power after this is over.
Suicidally, he's attempting to position to save himself for the post-war ("I was humane and measured") before the actual war.
He's letting the perfect be the enemy of the good--any attack now is better than the perfect attack next year, when you finally get all the munitions your liberal armchair generals are demanding.

We will see how it goes, but I think it won't work.

Victoria's Secret pulled off a neat trick - and one most brands don't - when it successfully converted from being a Boomer brand to also picking up Gen X and some of the Millennials. It has never been as strong with the Millennials as it was with the prior generations it's worse with the Zoomers. Right at that transition point - and probably in a misguided attempt to achieve the next pivot - it embraced wokeness. It failed, and it apparently cost them a good chunk of their existing customers. Now they have to essentially start over again from a reduced base.

I don't think they can do it. Like other great fashion brands before it, it will probably die. Fashion has a lifespan and Victoria's Secret did better than most, but I doubt it will become of one of the tiny number of evergreen brands.

I don't disagree with you.

But I think we have to accurately understand what that means in terms of foreign policy strategy.

If Israel is an egg that we will protect at all costs, then Iran understands that the way to manipulate the United States is to mess with the egg.

The Iranians, by and large, really have no true allies. The Russians don't like them from any historical standpoint. Neither do the Chinese. And the feeling is mutual.

And worse for Iran is that really on other Muslim nations like them either. But if you can goad the United States into bombing a few rival by pricking Israel, then you keep the more rational (relatively speaking) Muslim world from normalizing.

Trump made inroads for peace by essentially taking the position that "Israel isn't always right in every situation, we will listen to both sides and find common ground" with the more stable, wealthier, and less radicalized Islamic nations.

258 Israel should make public then the demands Joe made.
Make public that he made these demands to "improve his reelection campaign."
Make public the munitions Joe is withholding.

And then go through Gaza.

He cares more about the words in the press than doing the right thing.

Posted by: Montec at October 19, 2023 09:19 AM (bWsRe)

Kind of depends on how it's structured.

Hungary, for instance, says have four kids and you never pay taxes again.

America, conversely, says crank out four kids and we will take money from other people and give it to you.

Posted by: Bitter Clinger at October 19, 2023 09:22 AM (kmQ16)

268
I don't disagree with you.

But I think we have to accurately understand what that means in terms of foreign policy strategy.

If Israel is an egg that we will protect at all costs, then Iran understands that the way to manipulate the United States is to mess with the egg.

The Iranians, by and large, really have no true allies. The Russians don't like them from any historical standpoint. Neither do the Chinese. And the feeling is mutual.

Posted by: Bitter Clinger at October 19, 2023 09:17 AM (kmQ16)

The US position in the ME is about Saudi Arabia, not Israel. Israel is a military position, the oil is what we(and everyone else) is there for.

Absent the US exiting the ME entirely, there's little reason for Iran's relations with China or Russia to break down.

286 We'll see if it works for them. Tax breaks aren't going to do it. Direct subsidies might - if they are structured to require marriage first, and disappear upon divorce. But in-kind might also work. "If you have another kid, the state will help you get a bigger place to live" or "if you have kids, the state will help you find (and pay for) high-quality schools for them to attend" would likely go a long, long way.

So far, Chinese and Japanese attempts to deal with birth rate collapse have failed. Places like Germany and Korea haven't made much of an effort. It will be interesting to see how Russia fares.
Posted by: Joe Mannix

Fuck tax breaks. Make it cheaper to have them. All across the board. A $6 box of cereal now only costs you $2.25. A $4.00 box of hamburger helper now costs $1.75. A gallon of milk now costs you .75 cents. A $12.00 box of diapers now costs you $3.00.

Tax breaks help once a year. If governments want to help, truly help, help families the other 51 weeks.

No it didn't. Women like the one who wrote this article are suckers, duped by lies.

This is what the feminist movement has always been about. It wasn't about women, it was about *using* women as a wedge to achieve radical revolution in the west (and particularly in the US, which is necessary because it is the head of the empire). It is why the "feminist movement" has embraced men (trannies) in the latest chapter, and why that same movement has consistently backed regimes that oppress women throughout the world.

It ain't about women and it never was, not even for a femtosecond. It was about, from its very inception, using women as a cudgel to achieve revolution. It's all it ever was. If you are confused by the actions - or inaction - of feminists in the wake of Hamas' atrocities, you never understood what the feminists were about. It was not about women, it was about bringing Marxist - and more recently, the weird neo-Maoisim of the Postmodern era - revolution.

Neighbor girl has been "good friends" with Pooky's nephew for years. He finally asked her out this week and she said no. My guess as to her reason was that she "didn't want to disrupt the friend group" (a reason she's given before) and the idea that she's too busy with XC, orchestra, giving cello lessons, etc. I just want to tell her "Honey, there's never going to be a better time than when you're under 20." Have a good one.

Most feminists are dupes. The masters of that movement - the ones who direct it and the ones who set its agenda and do the recruiting - were always communists. They were - and largely remain - very, very successful at duping most of their supporters to gain a broad basis of popular support - even if only casual affiliation like, "yeah, equality sounds good" - while skillfully recruiting the next generation of leaders to push the next phase of radicalism behind closed doors.

The great victory of the feminist movement and its associated cultural revolution was exactly that. It convinced young people to reconsider exactly that - and to conclude that short-term pursuits were more important and, long term, cost free (get laid, go to work, don't worry about it, have it all because yours will come).

The same battle now has to be fought again, in the other direction - but with a much less appealing message because it requires the hard-won understanding of long-term success factors to be relearned.

327 Dear Congressman Mike Lawler (R) of New York:

With all due respect sir, the very LAST thing the worthless, traitorous Republican Party needs is to find a "consensus" Speaker candidate. We all know well enough by now that "consensus" means the Business First wing of the G.O.P. gets everything they want by giving away the majority power that the Conservative/MAGA wing gave them, in order to keep on with the grift and graft.

So with all sincerely, FUCK YOU Congressman! Will your party just hurry up and die as a political entity?

2020: NEVER FORGET, NEVER FORGIVE!

The collapse is coming. My only joy will be to watch your party go down first.

328 Good morning, all & thanks, J.J.

Had an opportunity go onboard the USS Whitney, LCC-20, - a magnificent, self-contained headquarters complex, in the late 70's when it was serving as the flagship for Commander Second Fleet/Commander Striking Fleet Atlantic. Now she's U.S. 6th Fleet's command-and-control ship, heading to the eastern Mediterranean Sea. To me, that seems like a very BFD.

Israel promptly called up 360,000 reservists after the 10/07 Hamas attack - a lot of military to shelter, feed, arm, fuel...U.S. support needed & promised.

(On 10/10, Seattle Times etal reported Boeing sped delivery of 1,000 bombs to Israel, part of a “direct commercial sale” between the contractor & Israel that was already on the books.

In part, "The May 2021 sale was controversial when Congress was notified of it by the Biden administration. Sen. Bernie Sanders and some House members moved to block the proposed sale in protest over Israeli attacks in Gaza at the time, but it wasn’t voted on, according to the Congressional Research Service.")

And so the Admin began a game of benevolent referee. Now, it too seems 'contained' here, there & everywhere.

Solidarity w/Israel

329 Israel is done. The changing demographics in Western countries, declining IQ in Israel and the rise of China signals the end of Israel by the end of this century.

330 Bibi should have told the US that AF1 will NOT be permitted to land. Under no circumstances. How many times does Israel have to be attacked before they wake the hell up?? Level Gaza while Biden is there. Set up a viewing spot for him. Right on the border. With a Bud Light.

331 Just reminding folks once again...

Donald Trump unleashed ALL hydrocarbon energy development in the United States thereby neutering all Middle Eastern enemies. Oh, and he sent ONE missile to kill the Chief Terrorist(Soleimani)...

The result was Peace and stability and deflation and the highest purchasing power of our lives. Common sense that our globalist republicans do not have or are paid to subdue.

335 During the big divorce I went on a dating site...I was in my forties...the gals I was interested in spent their youth travelling and such and were interested in families now.

I was like, hey, I did that shit twenty years ago.

Many pictures of babes on vacations.

JJ is still getting giggles every time he tries to promote "the election was stolen" gag

[If by giggles, you mean a greater percentage of the populace that at a minimum believe the election was at least compromised to make the accusation of theft plausible, not to mention those who believe it was, then we're all giggling louder than you getting rogered in a subway toilet glory hole. Hit my tip jar, cheapskate! - jjs]

337 Paul exemplifies the problem, calling a stolen presidential election a "gag". Fucking idiots on the left don't seem to realize the obvious endgame here.

338 The one part of Joran Van Deersloot’s story I don’t buy is when he says she kneed him in the groin then he kicked her in the face and bashed her head in with a rock. That sounds like a bad Hollywood story where the girl kicks a guy in the nuts, he goes down groaning and then gets up just a few seconds later and he’s fine.

This happened 18 years ago. He’s embellishing and doesn’t accurately remember. If she had kneed him in the groin he would have gone down and stayed down long enough for her to casually stroll back to town.

340 Mr. Sefton, excellent, sobering, depressing analysis - as always.
I shouldn't be, but I am regularly stunned at the huge numbers of people simply incapable of recognizing that Hamas's fiendish terroristic tactic of using human shields is precisely and exclusively what is responsible for the ugly collateral death and destruction of Gazan civilians. Israeli soldiers are incidentally (and reluctantly) the instruments of these unfortunate deaths - but they are not the murderers. Hamas intentionally putting Palestinians in harms way are the murderers. Plain and simple.

Posted by: Bach in Black at October 19, 2023 02:52 PM (dBoDT)

341 For instance, if some terrorists somehow managed to hijack another Boeing 747 and turned it toward a skyscraper laden city, the US pilots who would (hopefully) be ordered to shoot down that plane would not be responsible for the deaths incurred. The suicide-bombers on that plane would be the murderers.

I cannot express in polite words my FRUSTRATION AT SO MANY DAMNED FOOLS who refuse to do what amounts to a basic moral assessment!
