Did the Biden (Obama) White House Give Iran Just $6 Billion? Not Even Close!

Via Instapundit, the traitorous Obama-Biden Regime is paying their third-world revolutionary buddies in Iran a lot more than $6 billion.


Many of the articles surrounding the atrocities of the Hamas attacks this past weekend have referenced the recent $6 billion "deal," in which the U.S. gave this money to Iran in exchange for five Americans. It already seemed like the worst trade in history.

But it's more nefarious than simply unleashing $6 billion to Iran, a known terrorist state and the most existential threat to the free world. In reality, this one detail hyperlinked quickly in most articles is part of a larger spider web of hidden details.

In a recent article, senior adviser at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and former National Security Council official Richard Goldberg traces the money trail. He confirms: It is so much worse than we think.

Goldberg lays out the numbers. The $6 billion you've seen in every (other) headline is only the money being transferred from our friends in Qatar. But this is separate from the $10 billion of assets being transferred from Iraq, which Goldberg says will continue on "a rolling basis." Then there are the reports that Iran will be allowed to access $7 billion in fiat currency by trading drawing rights with the International Monetary Fund. He also says Japan is scheduled to transfer $3 billion to Iran.

"Money is fungible," and even the funds that have not yet been unfrozen are likely being treated as good credit in Iran's ledger.

The revelations do not end there. U.S. officials have also quietly acknowledged that they've uncapped Iranian oil exports to China. These export levels, previously held around 775,000 barrels per day under Trump's sanctions, are now estimated to be between 1.4 and 2.2 million barrels per day. Modest estimates value this relief at $25 billion annually.

The total? $50 billion.

It's giving a thug a loaded machine gun and expecting him not to shoot the bullets.

Pressure is building for Biden to freeze the billions not yet released to Iran, but Biden, of course, is resisting that pressure.

And of course: Trump shut down the sham Palestinian "relief" agencies which just take donations and use them to buy weapons and pay terrorists. Biden opened them all back up for business again.

There is something going on with the "American" Democrat Party and Iran. They are absolutely determined to give a terrorist country billions of dollars and a nuclear bomb.

Someone is getting paid.

I took it as underlining the fact that these are not "fighters" -- they are simply barbaric criminals and raiders.

The American (and global) left has had a love affair with Iran since they deposed the Shah. That was a bloodied nose for the West, and the global left *loves* a good nose-bloodying for the West. Since then, Iran has morphed into the embodiment of an *idea* for the global left. In their vision - articulated well by the WEF, but not their creation - the world is multi-polar and there are no superpowers. There are a handful of regional hegemons in a kind of macro-stability. The regional hegemon for the Middle East and parts of Central Asia - the non-Caucuses Islamic world, essentially - is to be Iran.

They are obsessed with Iran. They got this idea that Iran shall be the MidEast pole, and they will stop at nothing to ensure that Iran achieves their preferred status. Their worldview demands it.

I was in college for 9/11 - I was angry as hell and to a certain extent I enjoyed being angry. It was a righteous anger at a target that was unquestionably evil. I was also naive. At the time I bought into the idea that worldwide most people want the same freedoms that we (in theory) have as Americans. I supported trying to build functional governments in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I'm older now and have kids. I don't enjoy being angry. More than anything, I'm just tired. I'm tired of the US fighting wars without trying to win them. I'm tired of seeing evil like Hamas have open supporters in this country. I'm tired of being told Islam is a religion of peace when I remember a Muslim coworker refusing to admit agree that Muslims who renounce the faith shouldn't be killed. I'm tried of pretending that a very large swath of humanity does not want the freedoms we (in theory) enjoy.

At this point I just hope Israel has the will to actually keep putting bullets in heads until either anyone willing to fight is dead or they run out of heads. It doesn't seem like we do.

I think this slightly misses the mark. I doubt that many people would do that as a sole motivation, but I don't doubt at all that there is a subset of outdoorsy hiker people who are going to go on a hike anyway and would get a big kick out of dressing up like bigfoot while they do it.
