The Morning Report — 10/11/23

Good morning, kids. After being almost numbed by the details of the barbarism over the past few days, one story that came out this morning made the dam burst on my emotions a bit. And it's some good news and a ray of light in the blackness:

Inbar Lieberman, the security coordinator of Kibbutz Nir Am since December 2022, heard explosions early Saturday, when the terrorists launched their unprecedented attack on the Jewish state, according to Walla News.

She realized that the sounds were different than those heard during the usual rocket attacks on the kibbutz — located near Sderot and a stone’s throw from the Gaza Strip.

So Lieberman rushed to open the armory, distributed guns to the 12-member security team and coordinated their decisive response amid the unfolding attack.

She placed her squad of kibbutzniks in strategic positions across the settlement and set up ambushes that caught the gunmen off guard and turned the tables on them during their mission to inflict mass casualties.

Lieberman killed five terrorists by herself, while the others gunned down 20 more over four hours as they turned Nir Am into an impenetrable fortress — while nearby kibbutzim suffered heavy losses, Walla News reported.

Ilit Paz, cultural coordinator at Nir Am, told the news outlet Israel Hayom: “It was amazing. My husband was part of the standby unit that worked to prevent more casualties.

“They heard the shots and made contact on their own with other members of the standby unit and with Inbal — and they understood that they were told to be on standby.

“But Inbal made a decision not to wait and be jumped operationally. In fact, the fact that they did it early prevented dozens of casualties,” she added.

A social media post also lavished praise on the heroic woman, the Maariv daily reported.

“When it’s all over, this woman will receive the Israel Prize. The story of her heroism is a story that will go down in Israeli lore for generations. Inbal is the reason there is one kibbutz in the entire surrounding area that remains unharmed — Nir Am,” the post said.

In our military, that's Silver Star or DSC territory and arguably MOH. I'm getting a bit misty again considering the next story down is that of the last sight parents had to endure before being dispatched was witnessing their babies being beheaded right in front of their eyes.

I've written about Hannah Arendt's concept of a "banality of evil" vis a vis the order-givers and the order-followers in Nazi Germany who snuffed out over 6 million Jewish lives and several million non-Jews during the years 1933-1945. While there are at least some accounts of perpetrators regretting and even in some instances refusing to follow orders, as well as active and passive resisters amongst the citizenry (many who paid with their lives), there are no reports out of Gaza of any of its citizens objecting to what is being done in their name. True, they exist in a totalitarian regime where the consequences of objecting are obvious. But what of "Palestinians" living abroad? Crickets. Worse than crickets. The orgasmic glee of shrieks and ululating at the slaughter of unarmed people.

Ditto ad nauseam of the majority of Democrat Party leadership who are engaging in double-speak or silent as a large number of their own Reps and Senators are siding with the butchery. That is a political calculus which directly translates into a voter base that is as rabidly anti-Semitic as the pigs in the "Squad." And now we have this Black Lives Matter group – which is in fact a terrorist organization by their actions in the summer of 2020 – approving of and glomming onto the blood libel of "Israeli genocide and colonization of 'Palestine'" as parallel to the blood libel of genocide against blacks by white people who control an equally-illegitimate America, which exists on stolen land, and blah, blah, blah, etc.

Juxtapose the sight of that poor woman being dragged around in the back of a pick-up, urinated and spat upon and that of a truck driver named Reginald Denny, who found himself stuck at the intersection of Florence and Normandie in South Central LA on a spring day in 1992 and getting pummeled with bricks and stomped into unconsciousness by the you-know-whos.

"It Can't Happen Here?" Considering the propaganda that has poisoned the hearts and minds of several generations of blacks for nearly 60 years, as well as a wide open border where an alarming number of military aged males from Islamic countries have surfed in on the wave of Latin American third world peasantry and a most terrifying picture emerges. Over 70,000 in the past two years alone. And that's only a guesstimate. If this doesn't make you even the slightest bit concerned, then you have the attention span and brain function of Fetterman's neck lump.

Forget the dead-enders and borderline if not over-the-line sickos of the Democrat base or in Europe and even elsewhere in the world. We've discussed at some length on these pages the possibility of at least a somewhat reachable group of people of being mugged by reality. Will the images coming out of Israel finally open some eyes or will they too be like that girlfriend of the activist who watched her boyfriend get knifed to death on a Bed-Stuy street and refuse to identify the killer because she wears an ACAB shirt?

The world wonders. Meanwhile, there are still just over one billion people on this planet, even outwardly the most modern of them who at best stay silent about the others of their ilk who cling and carry out to the letter the central commands of their common pseudo-religion/totalitarian ideology which demands subjugation and global domination by any means necessary.

“Nazi” should never be used to describe non-Nazis. Nazi evil was sui generis. There has never been as organized, as industrialized, an attempt to murder every member of a religious/ethnic group — “every member” meaning babies, women, and the elderly as well as adult males — as the Nazi attempt to murder every Jew in Europe. Within a mere four years, they nearly succeeded: The Nazis murdered two out every three Jews in Europe.

The Muslim leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran regularly announce that the annihilation of Israel is their paramount aim. They would rather murder the Jews of Israel and eradicate Israel than feed their people. In fact, they have stated that the death of tens of millions of their fellow Iranians is a price worth paying if it means annihilating Israel.

That is why the purpose of Hamas’s attack was to slaughter as many Jews as possible. No army base was attacked — because the attack had no military aim. Hamas Einsatzgruppen (the name of the Nazi mobile killing units) attacked a music festival, where they murdered at least 270 young people and maimed an untold number of others. Their other targets were homes, so as to kill entire families — because their aim was not military victory but the murder of Jews. Babies and grandmothers are not military targets. . .

. . . on Oct. 7, 2023, more Jews were murdered than on any one day since the Holocaust. Percentag-ewise, it was as if 40,000 Americans had been murdered. And these Israelis were murdered for the same reason Jews were murdered during the Holocaust — because they were Jews.

Radical Islam’s useful idiots on the Left deny this fact. They say that Muslims who seek to annihilate Israel are not motivated by antisemitism but by anti-Zionism, as if there is any real-world difference between the two, and as if seeking to eradicate one nation in the world — the only one that happens to be Jewish — is in no way anti-Jewish.

It should therefore be noted, to cite but one example of non-Israeli Jews being murdered by Islamists, that in 1994, Hezbollah, the Iran-backed terrorist organization in Lebanon, bombed the Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, killing 85 people and injuring more than 300. They weren’t Israelis; they were Argentinian Jews.

It should also be noted that Hamas’s charter makes no distinction between Zionists, Israelis, and Jews:

“The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: ‘O Moslem, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him.'”

From Dennis Prager we go to the broader geo-political view with Ace-cruelty fan Victor Davis Hanson who nails it with this one:

There have been plenty of terrorist attacks on Israel. A dozen or so conventional wars of various magnitude have been waged against the Jewish state. And more often there have been mixtures of both.

Yet never have hundreds of gangs of black-clad murderers carefully planned to swarm Israel, with an agenda to pull random Jews out of their homes and off the street, murder them, and toss their bodies in the street.

In fact, the closest parallel to the sort of methods Hamas is now embracing is something close to the Rwanda 1994 mass killing, when swarms of Hutu militia killers launched a preplanned murder spree against thousands of Tutsi civilians.

Note one common theme of these horrific videos of the murdering of young women: the bloodthirst of the Gaza crowd. There appears a natural desire of everyday Gazans to video the mutilations, an embrace of the spitting on the doomed, a frenzied effort to mutilate the dead—and the absence of a single Gazan objecting to the group murder of a civilian.

Hamas did not act out of the ordinary, but in sync with its people. In truth, there is something so terribly wrong in Gaza that the United States should keep as far away as it can from such barbarity—and hope that it too feels the same about America and keeps to itself. . .

. . . Apparently, the Palestinians in their now ISIS role also thought their descent into even greater barbarity, rarely witnessed in even the most savage parts of the world, would shock Israelis into assuming some sort of collective fetal position, with hands over their ears screaming, “make all these demons just go away.”

If so, Hamas sorely miscalculated.

The sheer horror of their methods, and the cowardice shown by focusing on teen-aged girls and children rather than the IDF, will have the exact opposite effect, both in Israel and worldwide.

Israel now knows there is no living with a precivilizational Hamas. It must destroy it, permanently block off Gaza from itself, and adopt a strategy of chronic disproportionate response from now on out.

In such a change of strategy, Israel will have the backing of most of the civilized world and its own people, since there is no other choice once Hamas has adopted its campaign of death. We will likely see things in the next month that no one has anticipated, and yet the Israeli response will be in the eyes of most of the world long overdue. . .

. . . Let us also be candid, the Biden administration has contributed to the notion that Hamas was a legitimate Middle-East player. It fueled the perception that the U.S. was backing away from its traditional support for Israel—to the delight of Hamas—based on inexplicable policies. . .

. . . So Israel is to be the moral equivalent of terrorists executing civilians and brutalizing their corpses? And all this from the U.S. government? And what exactly is the “U.S. Office of Palestinian Affairs,” a megaphone for “normalizing” Hamas?

The IDF then is not to retaliate against these killers?

Does the Biden administration now also call upon Ukraine, “to refrain from violence and retaliatory attacks?” Does it believe that Ukraine’s “violence” in response to Putin’s “terror” will “solve nothing?”

Remember also the Biden administration had recently released some $6 billion to Iran through a prison swap deal that saw South Korea hand over embargoed Iranian money to Qatar—despite Tehran’s increased anti-Israeli rhetoric and its loud brag about the escalation. . .

. . . Iran now cheers on mass death in Israel while its agents and provocateurs burrow into the U.S. government (which might explain the Biden State Department’s immediate call to cease Israeli retaliation).

The result of this madness is that there was a general Hamas and Iranian perception that the Biden administration had resumed the discredited Obama insanity of empowering Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas. This discredited agenda aimed to “balance” the power of Israel and the moderate Arab Gulf governments to achieve “creative tension,” and was certainly exacerbated by Biden’s loathing of the government of Benjamín Netanyahu.

Note as well that the Biden administration has insidiously siphoned off key weapons and munitions from emergency stockpiles inside Israel apparently to transfer them to Ukraine. The so-called “War Reserve Ammunition—Israel” is reportedly all but depleted of just the sorts of weapons and shells that will be likely needed in the present crisis. . .

. . . Upon the ascension of Biden and his woke strategic agendas, we witnessed the following chain of events: 1) the 2021 complete humiliation of the U.S. miliary in Kabul in its greatest defeat in 50 years; 2) followed by Vladimir Putin’s 2022 opportunistic invasion of Ukraine; 3) followed by China’s new belligerence and escalating threats to Taiwan; 4) followed by Turkey’s new de facto alliance with Russia and recent drone encounter with the U.S. air force in Syria; 5) followed by the Hamas/Iranian inspired attack on Israel—6) with more to come unfortunately. . .

. . . In a sane world, the Biden administration would immediately cancel all talks with Iran, renew sanctions, and stop any cash transferences. (Why were the Obama and Biden administrations so fond of sending so much money to theocratic Iran)? . .

And there is likely zero chance that the handlers of Joe Biden will do any of that.

We can talk of the internal strife within Israel as one reason for the lack of preparedness. As is well known, much of that strife was fomented by forces outside of Israel, primarily in Davos and of course in D.C. Given the nature of the attitude of those in D.C. to the Jewish state, it would not surprise me in the least to learn that not only was the money they've been sending directly attributable to the planning and operational execution of the attack by Iran, but that D.C. knew in advance of the attack and intentionally kept that intel from Israel.

The truth will out. I'm all cried out this morning.

The Palestinian Energy Authority announced this morning that all of the fuel supplies for their lone large diesel fueled electric generator will run out today, and they have no source for resupply. Any private generators will have the same problem.

I believe the correct strategy is to identify whether or not there are potential terrorists in a building. If so, flatten it.

Do NOT go inside any building as it will surely be booby-trapped. We've already seen secondary explosions from other buildings that have been destroyed from the air. Assume EVERY building in Gaza is wired for such and simply destroy it from afar.

Seems like a dubious assertion(not their existence but the impact). The US State Department couldn't block the Israelis from collecting intel. Moreover, our intelligence agencies surely can communicate to other countries aside from through the State Department. Iranian sympathizers in our intelligence agencies on the other hand could be more of an issue.

They know it, and that was never the goal. The Middle East is unstable and has been unstable since the end of WWII because there are three major competing power centers: Israel, Saudi Arabia and Iran.

The globalists' aim isn't a "counterweight" in Iran, it's Iran as last man standing. They have an obsession with Iran - like they have an obsession with Brazil for South America - and want it to be the power center of the region. Their vision is not a multi-polar Middle East, but a multi-polar world. One of those poles is to be in the Middle East, and that pole is to be Iran - whatever the cost. I don't know why they want Iran so much, but they do.

CPI is downstream from PPI, usually two quarters (except energy, which is one quarter removed). Whatever this upcoming CPI print is, it will reflect PPI changes from 3-6 months ago. The CPI prints coming up in January through June of 2024 will reflect the PPI today.

I don't think this is an accurate way to interpret what happened in Gaza after the Israeli withdrawal in the mid aughts.

What you're describing - destruction through a lack of care - is the norm that happens lots of places. It's why South Africa has a failing power grid, it's why cities die, etc. That is not what happened in Gaza. What happened in Gaza is even worse: willful destruction. The infrastructure the Israelis built was not left to rot or mismanaged into the ground, it was razed. It was razed immediately by Hamas and its fellow travelers. The greenhouses didn't deteriorate, they were torn down. The infrastructure wasn't bled out by corrupt thieves, it was purposefully destroyed.

Yup, it has been sporty for a while, but the three constants (since Israel's war of independence, anyway) have been the Big Three of Saudi Arabia, Iran and Israel. Iraq came and went (in part, thanks to Iran) and Egypt came and went (in part, thanks to Israel). Yeah, I have no illusions about that. If the Palis turn on Hamas it won't be because they disagree with their ideology. It's just because keeping them around is more trouble than it's worth to the civilian population. They'll maybe elect a more "moderate" government like the Palestinian Authority next time. I had a teacher on 9/11 who was late for school because a Muslim couple asked him to take their picture in front of the burning towers, so he immediately made a police report and was quickly contacted by the Newark field office, and had to wait for them.

Likewise there were first hand accounts printed in the Jersey Journal on 9/12 of them celebrating at two mosques here in Jersey City.

Everyone in this city knew what was going on, as they later tried to cover up.

The two-state solution was implemented unilaterally by Israel. It withdrew from Gaza and gave it to the "Palestinians" and they then elected Hamas as their government. Gaza *is* the "second state." It's done. It just isn't the "two-state solution" demanded by Arafat, which included the territory known as the "West Bank" and a defenseless Israel that could be destroyed by the bifurcated second state.

You would think for the most militarized border in the world there would be a mined buffer zone, with maybe motion detection/ radar controlled fire on anything that moved in the buffer zone (that would also alert an army QRF). also same for air space of a certain altitude....

It can't happen here? In lieu of a legitimate refugee program, one according to established laws, the US has been running wild with TPS, special programs, wide open borders...

Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, the president sets a ceiling on the total number of REFUGEES that can enter the country each fiscal year after consulting with Congress. 1975 through 2021, 3.5+ million REFUGEES legally entered the US. (Only, in almost 50 years.) In 2022, 25,465 arrived in the US, a 123% increase from 2021 when PDT added program limitations. 40% of total REFUGEES admitted between 2001 and 2022 came from Burma, Iraq and Somalia, in that order.

Look at Temporary Protected Status (TPS) which presently has 16 eligible countries, many for many years. Burma & Somalia are also on TPS. Syria is too & 2016 cis dot org explained: TSP for Palestinians? ".. it's not just for Syrians. The language of the announcement (and of the relevant statute) says TPS is also available to "persons without nationality who last habitually resided in Syria."

BTW, 23 members of Congress are now calling for TPS for Nigeria. (May 9th ltr to Mayorkas.)

323 2/ There are noncitizens, such as Iraqi and Afghan, that have been granted Special Immigrant Status for immediately eligibility for certain benefits.

The statues of T & U nonimmigrants (victims of human trafficking & certain other crimes) are granted for up to 4 yrs & may be extended under certain circumstances. Family members of T and U nonimmigrants may also qualify for these statuses. (USCIS) They could also be DACAs and/or under TPS.

There are roughly 300,000 Afghans and Ukrainians in the US under Humanitarian Parole & more awaiting application or approval. Both countries are also under TPS. Under our newest humanitarian parole program, up to 30,000 people are being allowed each month to enter the U.S. from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela. Three of those countries are also under TPS.

Above are just some of the many 'legitimate' US entry programs with a likely unknown numbers of entrants, benefit recipients, overstays, etc., and not including Student Visas.

The Q is when, not will we go off the rails.

This administration and the Obama administration were and are complicit by purposfully funding Iran, a known purveyor of terrorism, with monies. There is no doubt in my mind that this funding was used for this current and for future attacks against the innocent (and fund Iran's nuclear ambitions). Congress should deeply investigate this, assuming those clowns can get their shit together and cut throught the CIA, DOJ, FIB, and other three letter agencies' bullshit and obstruction.
