Whole school celebrates this kid, teachers, admin, etc. My daughter was saying like any project he/she does, gets lavish praise from the teacher. Automatic A+, etc.

I know someone that works for a defense contractor.
They would get down to how many sexual partners she has to keep clearance. And this is "mid level" management type of stuff.
They used to not allow gay people to have clearance on really anything because they were such a target. Get a foreign operative as a "honey trap",etc.

Special elections are good measures of how motivated an electorate that barely knows there's an election at all will show up to the polls. They always favor the better organized side in greater terms than regular elections and never are predictive for following general elections.
The Republican also sounds like something of a kook, which probably didn't help matters. I wouldn't be surprised if the GOPe of NH helped him win the primary to try and invalidate Trumpism in the state.

Actually, she was elected in '20 because she positioned herself as a wife and mother, who carried a gun, and was a business owner.
In '22, after she became a lightning rod, and subject to ridicule by the corporate media, she BARELY won, over a guy with no political experience, who had his own extra-marital affair problem... which most voters likely didn't know about, because the media keeps these things quiet when they want to.
Western Colorado has been very conservative for a long time, but there are lots of new voters coming in, drifting from the eastern part of the state, where they f'd it up, or coming from Californica.

I had a friend in college who swore this was the key to getting laid. If a woman is in the mood and you're decent looking and nearby, your chances are pretty good. I spent about 3 years in that district... the more conservative part of it, and would listen to people A LOT, who were fairly typical voters. They would watch Fox News, listen to the bombardment of attacks against her, and would sometimes parrot the media narrative.
These were genuinely conservative people... not the brightest, but real true blue (in the best sense of the word) American patriots and all-round good peeps.

Brinton faced up to 15 years total for the two thefts, but in both cases, the presiding judges ruled jail time wasn’t necessary.

Yes! Same here - the tamest questions get the squinty eyes and the "I don't need an interrogation!" statement.
I know how kids are on a bus, but I'd be disappointed if FenSpouse is driving them to a private religious school - those kids have been taught the need to respect each other and the adults around them. Public school? Different breed. Tough to get order there, I should think.

Whole school celebrates this kid, teachers, admin, etc. My daughter was saying like any project he/she does, gets lavish praise from the teacher. Automatic A+, etc.

My sixth grade teacher wouldn't even address someone by their nickname. If your school records said "Kathlene," she wouldn't call you "Kathy." I can't imagine what she would have said if some boy in the class demanded that she start treating him as a girl.
