Phenylephrine is the most common active compound in over-the-counter drugs like Benadryl Allergy Plus Congestion, Sudafed PE, and Tylenol Cold and Flu Severe Day & Night. But an FDA panel said after a two-day review that the oral decongestant 'is not effective' at standard or even high doses compared to a placebo. Their ruling is not binding but strongly suggests the agency could soon heed their advice and pull its approval, forcing companies to pull or reformulate their products. The ingredient is protected under the FDA's Generally Recognized as Safe and Effective (GRASE) designation, but a reversal of its approval could mean manufacturers including Bayer and Johnson and Johnson might need to reformulate.
Phylephrine is everywhere, so much so that nearly every nasal decongestant on pharmacy shelves contains it. Drugs that contain it generated almost $1.8 billion in sales last year, according to data presented Monday by FDA officials. A unanimous vote by the 16-member Nonprescription Drug Advisory panel could issue a major blow to the industry.

I have shared my ordeal with uprooting decades old, 6" deep. matted crabgrass in the back. I bought a tiller, a 13 amp electric one. It was no match for it, sadly. Then I remember a commenter (AOP, I think) saying I needed to have at it with a pick axe. So I bought one. I have been going at it for a couple weeks now, daily, advancing about 2 or 4 sq. ft. per day. I've been working up a sweat swinging the 20lb. axe and disposing of the dead sod.
Today, coming out of my shower, I suddenly notice...

it works really good and also works as an emergency response for some food allergies and swelling from bee and wasp stings.
Phenylephedrine is different, I stopped taking it because it didn't work for me. A lot of allergy meds stop working for a lot of people after about a year of regular use.
Right now I use Cetrazine for bad allergy days and I am afraid when it stops working because Fexofenadine (Allegra) stopped doing anything but make my heart pound four years ago.
The madness is that under Oregon Law I have to get an Rx for pseudoephedrine at the pharmacy, and walk out and witness people doing a buy and smoke meth on the curb.
I am going to get a trailer and park it in the desert and make my own Sudafed-12 hour!

I've been told that gets better with time, but it's the biggest reason I didn't switch sooner. For the first month, I kept baby wipes and deodorant on me so I could do a field shower if needed. Thankfully I haven't had that issue recently, even over the summer. The aluminum in regular deodorant has to detox from you for Tom's to work properly, so I'm told.

It's the same issue as with term limits. 70% of people think biden is too old,.... so don't vote for him!
Isn't it obvious that the problem is that the public -- the voters -- do not have any say in who the candidates (or winners) are? The problem is not age or term, it is that we have a fraud democracy. The commies had the trick of "votes" but only after they eliminated any challengers. Isn't this the same thing? My fear about term limits is that it just gives more power to the party. This is another commie strategy with the Central Committee picking the next Chairman.
Stop talking about age, and start talking about how we get a primary system that allows the public to pick a candidate they want.
Start with limiting ALL campaign contributions of any kind to eligible voters in the district. Not a 5th violation since they can do what they want on their own, but they can not coordinate with candidate, or give him cash to distribute as they do now.

Will I keep it off forever? I dunno. I hope so. It's been four years already, though. That's not a bad start on forever, even though I still sometimes succumb to excessive impulses.
So try and do it, too, if you want to lose weight. And, in my experience, anything works. Keto? Sure! Count calories? Go for it! Low fat? Okay! Intermittent fasting? Why not? Just try things until something sticks for you. Something will. 😃👍

Had the same problem a few years ago. Blood sugar was high even though I felt sick if I ate more than 30 carbs in a day. Started metformin and A1C has never been above 5.5. The problem wasn't my diet but a genetic tendency toward hyperinsulinemia. Great-grandfather died of complications of Type II back when everyone was skinny and he was only stocky for his time. Some folks DON'T have all the luck.

We had a couple of little stuffed hedgehog & mouse cat toys; we'd throw them and our two cats would fetch them -- and then start making these siren-like cries, instinctively alerting us to the fact that they had captured a rodent. They could literally go on for minutes, often changing pitch, until we removed them from their mouths.
Was quite hilarious; they were domestic shorthairs, cousins of the Maine Coons who IIRC were brought over to America as mousers on the old ships settling the colonies from Europe.

Except momma deer walked out onto their pool cover despite proximity of Irish Spring and broke through. Dead deer momma. Her two 'kids' ended up the winter eating my rhododendron which filled their bellies but had zero nutritional value. One survived, the other not. Sad story. Both neighbors died - maybe covid, maybe the treatment. Pool cleaners retched removing dead deer. Acid cleaning pool cleaners survived. New neighbors are nice though.

I believe the Texas House (controlled by the GOP-e House Speaker Dade Phelan.) He should ask for his money back, but of course it isn't his, he just spends it.
I think Paxton's attorney is correct - The Bush family machine, angry that Paxton bumped their Great Brown Hope George P. Bush out of office, whipped up this rotten impeachment along with their paid allies, like Dade Phelan. just to take revenge on Paxton for annoying them so.

Currently Numerous Authorities and hazmat crews are one the scene of the Union Pacific Railroad tracks in North platte Nebraska due to several railcars catching on fire and exploding releasing heavy Hazardous toxic smoke in the air as one containers that caught fire contained a hazardous chemical called perchloric acid. Officials have sent out a emergency warning and are currently evacuating people within a four-mile radius of the explosion. The Union Pacific Railroad says that there was no derailment, and the affected railcar had been stationary in the yard for a couple of hours prior to the incident. The cause of the explosion is currently under investigation.

Except momma deer walked out onto their pool cover despite proximity of Irish Spring and broke through. Dead deer momma. Her two 'kids' ended up the winter eating my rhododendron which filled their bellies but had zero nutritional value. One survived, the other not. Sad story. Both neighbors died - maybe covid, maybe the treatment. Pool cleaners retched removing dead deer. Acid cleaning pool cleaners survived. New neighbors are nice though.

That idiot lush Phelan needs to be shown how Legislatures work. Hint: don’t reward the opposition with committee chairmanships.
Bush failed all on his own. He was an incompetent Land Commissioner and after (unfortunately) two terms he was exposed. Of course he went after the AG job because he wanted to weasel his way into the governor’s mansion. But he got rejected 68-32 in the 2022 primary based on his own incompetence and the record of AG Paxton.
Everything else the Bush side is doing now is a temper tantrum.

So, to get the real Sudafed, you have to ask the pharmacist cuz they hide it now. You're limited to one box and they often take your name and address.
