Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Irrefutable Proof of the Visitation of Earth by UFOs Presented to the Mexican CongressOkay, I was skeptical of this whole "aliens" thing, but now I Believe. Mexican lawmakers heard testimony that "we are not alone" in the universe and saw the alleged remains of non-human beings in an extraordinary hearing marking the Latin American country's first congressional event on UFOs. In the hearing on Tuesday on FANI, the Spanish acronym for what are usually now termed Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), politicians were shown two artifacts that Mexican journalist and long-time UFO enthusiast Jaime Maussan claimed were the corpses of extraterrestrials. The specimens were not related to any life on Earth, Maussan said. The two tiny "bodies," displayed in cases, have three fingers on each hand and elongated heads. Maussan said they were recovered in Peru near the ancient Nazca Lines in 2017. He said that they were about 1,000 years old. Similar such finds in the past have turned out to be the remains of mummified children. "This is the first time extraterrestrial life is presented in such a form and I think there is a clear demonstration that we are dealing with non-human specimens that are not related to any other species in our world and that any scientific institution can investigate it," Maussan said. "We are not alone," he added.More: What were alleged to be 1,000-year-old "non-human alien corpses" were presented in glass display cases before the Mexican Congress Tuesday during its first hearing on UFOs. "They are non-human beings that are not part of our terrestrial evolution," Mexican journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan testified under oath. As two small, mummified specimens -- seen with three fingers on each hand -- were unveiled, Maussan said researchers at the Autonomous National University of Mexico have conducted Carbon 14 analysis that determined the corpses are around 1,000 years old. He claimed the purported bodies were found fossilized in mines in Cusco, Peru, in a layer of diatomaceous earth, or ancient phytoplankton algae. "These aren't beings that were found after a UFO wreckage. They were found in diatom mines, and were later fossilized," he said, later adding, "Whether they are aliens or not, we don't know, but they were intelligent, and they lived with us. They should rewrite history.... We are not alone in this vast universe, we should embrace this reality." Through testing, Maussan claimed, Mexican scientists determined more than 30% of the specimens' DNA was "unknown." One specimen allegedly was discovered to have what appeared to be eggs or ovaries inside, while another had implants of rare metals, such as Osmium.Wait, wait, wait, wait: They found fossilized bodies inside a metal mine and the detected metals inside the fossilized remains? I cannot think of any possible explanation for this other than the obvious one: They're aliens. Here are the Alien Mummies: ![]() ![]() Jaime Maussan--a self-proclaimed ufologist and journalist whose coverage on aliens was once debunked--presented two fossilized bodies of what he claimed were "non-human" corpses to Mexican Congress on Tuesday, claiming researchers could prove with DNA testing the bodies were not of Earth, to the fascination of social media. The small mummified corpses, which had elongated heads, three fingers and bodily makeups similar to Hollywood depictions of aliens, were allegedly found in Peru in 2017 and were said by Maussan to be about 1,000 years old. ... Maussan has worked as a journalist for more than 50 years. The 2017 video report he participated in, which showed alleged non-human remains later debunked as a mummified child's corpse, was published by Gaia.com. The website charges $99 a year for videos on paranormal and supernatural subjects, including alien abductions. The website belongs to alternative video platform Gaia Inc.--a publicly traded company with a $52 million market cap. The bodies in the video report from Gaia are much larger than those presented to Mexican Congress on Tuesday, though all the bodies share some similarities, including three-finger hands and elongated heads. In 2010, Maussan hosted his own TV show, and by 2019 was the subject of a movie titled Maussan's UFO Files," a one-hour documentary film that covered his pursuit of "the most controversial UFO events" in Mexican history. Maussan also has a YouTube channel, Maussan TV, with nearly 1 million subscribers.

I didn't look in to this at all, since, well, it looks very fake. But I know more mainstream alien-types were pissed off at this, as it detracts from the very real weird unexplained encounters US military people (and others obviously) have had with UFO's.
There was a congressional hearing recently on the subject, two former navy pilots spoke about things they saw. There is radar, cell phone video, and corroborating witnesses to back it up. There is also a whistleblower who claims he was tasked with trying to figure out who was doing what to study UFO's (mostly for budgetary reasons, I think), and he ran in to dozens of govt witnesses who say "oh yeah, we have alien retrieval teams, dead bodies, everything." So idk. Could all be bullshit Posted by: Harry Paratestes at September 14, 2023 03:56 PM (mj0Qp) 168

Which translates in actual practice to being alone, yes. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at September 14, 2023 04:06 PM (J2vNu) One can speculate, there very well COULD be beings that are so advanced, they travel in ways we can't imagine, and visit wherever they want, including Earth, without revealing themselves. I think of it like animals who see strange beings with cameras, following them around the wilderness. Do they know what we're doing? Of course not. So when they see us, their brains interpret what they see at the basic level: Food or threat or part of the landscrape. So if there are visitors from outside space visiting, even if we see them, we don't have a way to register what they are, or what they're doing. If their environment is similar to Earth, having a similar form is possible - the same environmental stresses tend to yield similar evolutionary paths. Convergent evolution is a thing. You can see real-world examples of that in Spain and the American West, where plants look similar despite having little to no relation. That said, even though the result might look fairly human, its internal biology and genetics would be completely different. There's a comic short story by Randall Garrett in which a human is captured by a race of conquering aliens and hooked up to a super-lie-detector device. He has to tell the truth.
Which he does. The whole exact truth and nothing but. He ends up owning the aliens and maneuvers them into surrendering to him. An absolute delight of a story. If such a race showed up here and hooked up any of our politicians, and their victim had to tell the truth? He'd explode -- and we'd be slaves for eternity! I looked up radiocarbon dating. Part of what determines how fast the atmospheric nitrogen is changed into carbon-14 is interaction with cosmic rays. And what determines how much energy those have when they get here is the particles from the sun, their energy, and how much of them gets through thanks to our planet's magnetic field.
So if you have a star which pumps out considerably more radiation on its solar wind than does Sol, and a planet with a weaker magnetic field than Earth's, you could have carbon decay quite a bit different from that on Earth. Not to mention a higher rate of mutation among life forms on that planet. Whole new ball game, man. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at September 14, 2023 04:37 PM (J2vNu) 432

Posted by: bear with asymmetrical balls - an election is simply a festival for the majority at September 14, 2023 *** It's implied in the Known Space stories that Larry Niven's ferocious, warlike kzinti not only didn't develop their star drive (a slower-than light one) by themselves, they stole it from another race conquered them and took the technology. It didn't have to be trade, it could have been outright theft. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at September 14, 2023 04:40 PM (J2vNu) 442

I remember that one...gave me goose bumps.
I also remember thinking...of course the government wouldn't let someone take off in a craft that might destroy all life on earth. Hey...I was young and naive. Posted by: 18-1 at September 14, 2023 04:29 PM (XqcwY) I think in the story it wasn't a government project, it was just the guy and a small team. The oppo was a mob whipped up by someone who thought it was too dangerous, also private. The story was written in 1941, even SF writers couldn't forsee the admin state we got instead. Heinlein's early stories about moon travel are simiarly private ventures. Posted by: Oldcat at September 14, 2023 04:42 PM (eoQWY) 445

The natural circadian rhythm of humans is closer to 25 hours than 24 hours. This was determined by a number of studies putting humans, singly, in spacious, comfortable isolation rooms for a couple of months. No clocks, no TV shows or movies, no way to judge time passage. No outside light. The subjects turned lighting on and off as they wished.
Guess how long the days are on Mars. Posted by: Blue Sky at September 14, 2023 04:38 PM (5fDan) H Beam Piper's stories are based on having a Mars civilization dying out and one colony ship making it to earth, but blowing up close to earth and only a lifeboat of people making it, and killing the Neanderthals and taking over. 385 Alfred Bester's story "Adam and No Eve" has a new space drive fail disastrously and the catalytic fuel destroys the entire surface to ash on the planet. The pilot lands and instinctively heads to the ocean and dies in the surf, and his body and the life in it will repopulate the planet. The twist is that this isn't earth in our time, but an earlier one.

What's to stop the Cartels from buying a bunch of Chinese commercial or even Iranian Shahed drones and blowing up parts of the United States? Or if not drones? A cartel hit team visiting a government official's home at midnight. Have you seen how bizarrely ruthless those people are? They think nothing of wiping out an entire family, just to teach a lesson.
