White House Spokeshenchman Claims That Joe Biden Attended "Business" Meetings With Hunter's Foreign Criminal "Business" Associates Because "He Loves His Son"

Biden's daughter can tell a few tales about A Father's Love, but the media's not interested in that. The marching orders to the media have gone out, and the orders are to claim (as the media already has been claiming) that there is "no evidence" -- zero, nada, nil, nothing, zip -- that Joe Biden had anything at all to do with Hunter's collection of bribes from Russian gangsters, corrupt Ukrainian oligarchs, and Chinese intelligence operatives posing (weakly) as oil men.The Biden White House has explicitly sent the media its marching orders, instructing them to not cover the impeachment inquiry neutrally -- just reporting what each side claims -- but to make it clear in their "news coverage" that Republicans are very mean liars who lie.

When this should be framed as:
Joe Biden used his crack head son as a bagman (and ultimately fall guy) to run his criminal enterprise. Kind of like how the drug kingpin doesn't actually touch the drugs or cash, and has bag boys carrying the drugs and cash.
And it's worth remembering that Hunter Biden offered NOTHING as even a cover for these people. He wasn't pretending to be their lawyer. He wasn't pretending to offer any services.

The key difference is that before radio and television happened, there were multiple parties and viewpoints in the press, all pushing their own agendas. It wasn't a total monolith yet.

Technically true (impeachment is political and not legal), but I recall back in the Clinton era some research that looked into what was considered a "high crime or misdemeanor" in 1789. That was, at the time the Constitution was written, a term of art that had a Parliamentary antecedent. The Democrats would never feel bound by it, of course, unless it served their purposes, but I think there were Republicans at the time who considered it a serious question.

It's really more a return to the norm.
Before it was a series of regional and city-wide circulations in competition with each other. Today is similar except on the internet with some seriously large power centers working against one side (well, both sides, but the other side is far more meek overall in obeying corporate orders, and it's generally not the right).

Something certainly changed between print and video. When all news was print, the entire industry was viewed poorly. Muckrakers were not respected or trusted.
By the time it went video, entire generations simply trusted them. I think that's a defining part of the 20th century existence. I can't figure out if that change was because of radio, video, or the collective WW II and Cold War experiences. But it was one Hell of a change.

According to him, the loophole is they can't match the personal information an uploader provides to the people in the video. So even though there's a "verification" process to "compare" a person in the video to the identification provided, there's no real method to do that. Verification people are tasked with looking at an old driver's license picture and "check" if that person is in the video. If the guy or girl looks kinda sorta similar or doesn't show their face in the video, they pass.
So people are exploiting this loophole by uploading anything and everything that'll get by the verification people, and profiting off of exploitation and rape and whatever else video they get their hands on.

That is only part of what he was selling. Joe did take action to help Hunter and himself including firing Shokin, the prosecutor who was looking into corruption at Burisma, and then it typical Biden cement head fashion bragged about it on camera.

Mild mental illness. I had a college roommate who would eat a can of chili for every single meal. Yeah, we're all poor in college, but most people switch it up every once in a while. Not him. Every single meal for months, he'd eat a can of chili.

I re-read his comment - it was written in such a way as it could be interpreted my way or your way - it wasn't clear he was talking about the Clinton era Republicans or some political party thinking from when that Parliamentary acquiesce was written into the Constitution in 1789.
By the way, I don't recall any such calamity or fist fight over the Constitutional meaning of "high crimes and misdemeanors" during the Clinton impeachment. The fight was over whether lying about sex met that agreed upon defemination that no one seemed to deny existed.

That said, I didn't make it up. There were people who were researching whether lying in a deposition fit the 1789 definition of "high crimes and misdemeanors" as intended by the Framers. The only people who would have cared about that in 1996 would have been Republicans, not Democrats.

Hi - you are correct - we aren't adjudicating some AOS law here and I apologize it I came off like that.
I do recall the fight over whether lying about sex met the clear definition of the "high crimes and misdemeanors" clause in the Constitution - I just don't recall any brouhaha about whether it was confusing or in doubt, just whether lying to the public just didn't meet it (which I agreed it didn't). But I admit am not infallible in my memory, of course. It might have been quite an issue in serious doubt and I just missed it.
