To Rescue Biden From Another Meandering, Blundering Press Conference, Karine Jean-Pierre Declares That the Press Conference Is Over -- While the Nominal "President" Biden Is Still Babbling

But Biden's really the one who's in charge of "his" government, right?

Nursing Home Joe is totally calling the shots, right?

Nursing Home Joe was already having a difficult time slurring his way through his remarks in Hanoi.

I am not sure that President Biden is still possessed of a guard he can drop. But if his recent performance in Hanoi is any indication, he does seem to be confused about the time of day. "Good evening, everyone. It is evening, isn't it? This around the world in five days is interesting. Well, one of my staff members said, 'Remember the famous song, Good Morning, Vietnam?' Well, good evening, Vietnam."

It was a feeble effort to make a joke, emphasis on "feeble." The president's increasingly wary aides took the hint. They had been holding their collective breath as he rambled on. "Lying dog-faced pony solider," "John Wayne," "my brother," "climate change," "worse than nuclear war."

"We talked about stability," Biden slurred, "we talked about the Third World, excuse me, the Third World, the uh, uh the Southern Hemisphere has access to change..."

This wasn't going well. You can't talk about "the Third World" in polite company anymore. Suddenly, Biden's mic was cut and the dulcet tones of his press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre intervened: "Thank you everybody. This ends the press conference. Thanks everyone." Unaware of what happened, Biden maundered on for a few seconds. Then, like Nietzsche's Last Man, he gazed vacantly about him and blinked. Then he shuffled slowly off stage and disappeared behind the drapery.

As Jazz Shaw points out, it is unprecedented for a president -- supposedly the most powerful man in the world -- to be cut off by an underling, as if he were a child being scolded by his nanny.

After the five staged questions had been answered, Biden suddenly decided to go off script and take another question and make more comments. That was a bridge too far for his handlers. In a rather shocking display that I don't recall seeing during any other administration, Karine Jean-Pierre rushed forward, cut the President off in mid-sentence and Biden was guided away from the crowd. It was a remarkable enough event that even CNN felt compelled to cover it.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Sunday abruptly ended a news conference with President Joe Biden in Hanoi, Vietnam, at one point taking a microphone and announcing the event had concluded even as the president was still answering questions from reporters in the room.

As the president was responding to shouted questions from the press, Jean-Pierre took to the microphone to announce, "Thank you everybody -- this ends the press conference." Biden remained on stage briefly following her announcement, responding to one additional question, though his full answer was inaudible....

Even the prearranged questions didn't go very smoothly. Biden was asked to address why he uses the phrase "lying dog-faced pony soldier" and he rambled on for several minutes in a seemingly incoherent fashion. Then, after referring to the southern hemisphere as "the third world," KJP literally had them cut off his microphone and move him offstage. One reporter gamely yelled out a question asking "Are you worried about your son being indicted?" But Biden either didn't hear it or chose not to respond.

Biden did make one other remark as the team gave up on the effort. He told the crowd, "I'm going to bed." If this was intended as an opportunity to demonstrate that Biden is still full of vim, vigor, and energy in the face of his collapsing poll numbers, it didn't appear to go off very smoothly.

"I'm going to bed" is very on-brand for Nursing Home Joe.

Bought-and-paid-for Democrat propagandist Bill Kristol has never been prouder, or so the leftwing Democrat running his Twitter account claims:

I think Bill Kristol might have been literally gay for John McCain.

Democrats who are not being paid by Pierre Omidyar to propagandize nonstop for the Deep State Party are not so enthusiastic.

Democrat politicians are showing their frustrations with Nursing Home Joe.

Senate Democrats say President Biden's moribund poll numbers are "concerning" and "frustrating," but they are doubtful any messaging shift by the White House will change how voters view him before the 2024 election.

They acknowledge the 80-year-old president's biggest problem is his age, which negatively influences how many voters view his presidency and contributes to a lack of enthusiasm for his 2024 reelection campaign.

"You got to be concerned about those poll numbers, you just do," Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) said. "There's plenty of time to get them back up. Whether he can or not, I just don't know but you got to be concerned."

One Democratic senator who requested anonymity said voters at home expressed deep apathy about Biden's prospective reelection during constituent meetings over the August recess.

The senator said the polling data "reflect all the miscellaneous encounters I'm having all the time."

"There's just no enthusiasm," the senator said. "It does pretty much come down to 'Well, he's done a pretty good job, but he's just too old.'"

LOL. Who says he's done a good job?

Democratic senators dismiss the possibility Biden will face any real competition for his party's presidential nomination, even though many of their constituents -- especially younger voters -- are hungry for new faces in leadership.

Instead, Democratic lawmakers, who expect a tough fight to keep their Senate majority, are counting on Republicans nominating former President Trump for the top of their ticket, whom they view as a candidate Biden has a good chance of beating next year, despite his weak poll numbers.

Whispers about Joe Biden's unfitness are becoming a scream. Progressive fireblob Cenk Uygur blasted Joe Biden for his "intense selfishness" in insisting on running despite being obviously unable to perform the job.

The dam is breaking, perhaps slowly but it is definitely leaking, because Democrats are realizing that Joe Biden is not someone who should be running for a second term. A majority of Americans, including Democrats, say that Joe Biden is too old to run again. Voters don't want him to run again. Democrats are starting to speak out. Uygur was on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday and Saturday blasting Biden and the situation Democrats find themselves in with him. "I'll say the thing that no one else is willing to say. Joe Biden is being intensely selfish by running again."

And Cenk Uygur isn't the only fat, impotent cvck scheming to replace Biden. Chuck Todd begged Gavin Newsom to run against Biden, using Newsom's hero -- Robert F. Kennedy (Sr.) -- to paint Newsom as a coward.

On the last episode of NBC's Meet the Press with moderator Chuck Todd at the helm, Todd prodded California Democrat governor Gavin Newsom to run against President Joe Biden in the 2024 Democrat presidential primary. This final moment of Democrat Party hackery from Todd (at least during Meet the Press) came during a sitdown interview he had with Newsom. Todd's justification for urging Newsom to run is the fact that his idol, former Attorney General and New York Democrat Senator Robert F. Kennedy ran against incumbent Democrat President Lyndon B. Johnson.

"Something that has hit me for a while with you in particular, your political hero is Bobby Kennedy," Todd exclaimed while prefacing his lobbying Newsom to run in 2024.

Newsom simply replied "Yeah."

"What would Bobby do? Bobby ran," Todd gushed. "Bobby ran."

"He did it. Now, you could argue that he waited for somebody else to prove LBJ was vulnerable before jumping in," Todd added. "We can debate the particulars of when. If you're gonna go bold, sometimes you go when everybody tells you not to go."

From there Newsom told Todd he's supporting Biden and therefore won't be a candidate for president in 2024.

This is how bad Biden's prospects are for reelection. You have loyal Democrat propagandists like Chuck Todd attempting to jump the sinking Biden ship and urge Democrats like Newsom to run instead.

Those whose only plan for winning in 2024 is to run against the most unpopular president of the modern era should think about prepping a Plan B.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom [your future President in 2024 & author of the Constitutional Amendment to repeal the 2nd Amendment] will have the chance to approve an excise tax on firearms and ammunition after Assembly Bill 28 was passed by Democrats Thursday.
If signed, an 11% tax from the sales of firearms, firearm precursor parts and ammunition would be imposed on dealers and manufacturers beginning July 1, 2024.
Money received by the measure would be used to fund various gun violence prevention, education, research and investigation programs, AB 28 states.
For the past 10 years, lawmakers had unsuccessfully pursued sales or excise taxes on guns and ammunition but failed half a dozen times, some of which never even got a hearing, CalMatters reported.

They're the masters of the filibuster strategy (original nonpolitical definition of the world).

They insert a few of their people. Those people try to get into hiring positions, so they can then open the floodgates.

Once they have enough of a presence, they take over and rearrange everything to serve their interests.

It was a common tactic during the colonial era in the new world - some freebooters would launch an expedition, settle a bit of territory that was owned by someone else but sparsely populated or undefended, then try to use their numbers to take over.

(It's also being done with the southern border, right now).

70 This is how bad Biden's prospects are for reelection. You have loyal Democrat propagandists like Chuck Todd attempting to jump the sinking Biden ship and urge Democrats like Newsom to run instead.

Chuck Todd is a profoundly stupid man who is good only for being exactly what he is: a robotic mouthpiece. He is regurgitating whatever talking points were laborious hammered into his notoriously dense skull in order to penetrate into the smooth meat contained therein.

I dunno which faction is calling his shots, but he sure as hell didn't come up with this.

Eric Neil Bowen, a 44-year-old male who claims to be “female” and goes by “Vivian Shemansky,” accused the girl of being “transphobic” before he wrecked her car. Bowen reportedly exploded in a rage after the 17-year-old girl parked near his tent in the Hollywood District of the city on August 27. 165 Wikipedia:

A monument commemorating the capture (not, as sometimes claimed, McCain's detention)[2] was erected on the western shore on Thanh Niên Road. The inscription reads:

On 26 October 1967 near Trúc Bạch Lake, citizens and military of the capital Hanoi captured US Navy Air Forces pilot Major [sic] John Sidney McCain, who was flying an A-4 aircraft that crashed near Yên Phụ power station. This was one of ten aircraft shot down that day.

Although the monument was not built to honor McCain, foreign visitors to Hanoi have chosen to pay respects to him there. In 2015 the inscription was revised to substitute "pilot" for the derogatory epithet "tên", correct McCain's name, and identify his service branch as Navy rather than Air Force.

(His father) John Sidney "Slew" McCain (August 9, 1884 – September 6, 1945) was a U.S. Navy admiral and the patriarch of the McCain military family. McCain held several command assignments during the Pacific campaign of World War II. He was a pioneer of aircraft carrier operations.[1]

Maybe FJB's keepers are trying to relate the last days of the US in S. Vietnam to the last days of US in Afghanistan. Chaos and death.

Posted by: SMOD at September 11, 2023 04:04 PM (RHGPo)

217 I would like to take this opportunity - yet again, for the maybe the 100th time - to thank our gutless, dickless, worthless, traitorous CORPORATE WHORE PARTY, otherwise known as REPUBLICANS for aiding Democrats in stealing the 2020 election. And all because President Trump wouldn't keep giving the country away to your Chamber of Commerce masters.
Lest we forget dear G.O.P., lining your pockets with lobby money and kickbacks is so much more important that enriching the lives of the constituents you serve. And we needed reminding, didn't we?

I sincerely hope a firing squad is in your future, from the Left or Right. What does it matter?

Posted by: BurtTC at September 11, 2023 03:57 PM (dGCAG)

I also happen to agree with him on Monsanto. There is no way that genetically modifying crops to be resistant to glyphosate, then spraying the shit out of them with glyphosate, then we eat crops covered in glyphosate is not causing serious health problems in people.

Plus, the fact that they have PATENTED the seeds of the food we eat, and genetically modified the seeds so that farmers need to buy new seeds every year and cant keep seed stocks on hand is ... bananas.

And yet no one talks about it. Why? Because Monsanto is owned by big pharma (Beyer), who is in turn owned by the usual suspects (blackrock, vanguard, other massive institutional players, etc. etc.)

And, again, they did it in 2016.

I'm going to put this out there: wokeism is not that popular with the voting black population (ballots in places like Philly are a different matter). They are cultural Democrats and the loudest black voices demanding reparations on Twitter do not represent them.

They like Joe because he's Obama's buddy, and they really didn't mind Joe winning the nomination (the idea that blacks suddenly voted for him in SC because Clyburn said go is nonsense) even over people of color like Kamala or Warren. They'll find all sorts of different reasons to stay cultural Democrats no matter who is the nominee.

Also, I seriously question the stats on black voting because black voting is largely relegated to places like Philly, Chi, and Baltimore with...questionable election machinery

Well, they can, but they have to buy non - Monsanto seeds. And if some of the round up sprayed by planes accidentally gets on their fields and kills their crops? Tough shit.

Or, if some of their neighbors crops make it on to their fields, they have to pay royalties to Monsanto.

Now would massive agricultural companies find it cheaper to buy new seeds every year instead of keeping some back for seed for the next year even without this ridiculous system in place? Maybe. But someone is still growing the crops out to seed to then sell those seeds. So probably not.

Even local schools bus the kids there to piss on it.

I don't know how anyone with any knowledge of farming or our food supply can be comfortable with this arrangement.

300 Democrats are already thoroughly corrupting the election process. There is a palpable and epic level of dissatisfaction not only with Democrats and this administration, but the failure to fix the process. People feel like it's moving out of their control, and into a very bad place. They're desperate and that's never good. I can think of few other things on top of what going on already that would truly motivate people them to attempt to disrupt the Republican Convention. That ends badly for Democrats in many ways.

I have no doubt they are going to give it their best shot. But if they were completely confident they could pull it off why is there all this growing talk about replacing Joe?

Personally, I don't think he's anywhere near 39% popularity. I think he's somewhere in the low 30s and sinking. They could build a case for Kindly Uncle Joe when he was sitting in his basement and leftists were reminded of the good old days with Barack but after 4 years of the real Joe there's no lipsticking this pig. He is a corrupt, senile failure and everyone knows even if they won't admit it out loud.

But today, with computers involved, the process has somehow become so laborious and cumbersome, they are stuffing ballots into counting machines until 4 in the next morning.

Did Kamala Harris Honor McCain’s Captors at Monument in Vietnam?
The vice president allegedly dishonored McCain by laying a wreath at the monument, instead of honoring him.
By Nur Ibrahim; Published Sep 22, 2021

Claim:
In late August 2021, Vice President Kamala Harris mistakenly laid a wreath commemorating John McCain at a memorial in Hanoi that supposedly celebrates the shooting down of his plane and his capture by the North Vietnamese
Rating: False

Context
Harris did not "mistakenly" visit the Hanoi monument, nor did she inadvertently celebrate McCain's captors. The monument does mark the location where John McCain was captured, but, though the meaning and intention of the monument are debated, it does not carry language explicitly celebrating his capture. When McCain died in 2018, both Vietnamese and Americans laid flowers at the site. Republican senators and even McCain himself had visited the monument in the past.

You don't know what you're talking about. Farmers wouldn't re-use the seeds even if they could. Farmers want the exact strain they planted and the offspring seeds are not guaranteed to be that. They could have genetic mutations or they might be cross strains with other plants in nearby fields of the same species.
Posted by: bonhomme at September 11, 2023 04:24 PM (0N1h0)

And that's only with heirloom seeds, which no one in their right mind would use for commercial farming.

Any kind of hybrid, GMO or otherwise, is pretty much certain to be either sterile or not true-to-type in the seed. Farmers have enough risk to contend with without sticking mystery seed into the ground and hoping for the best.

There's also the factor of the *buyer* demanding to know what was planted and harvested before they buy however many tons of it off you. "Here's the wheat you contracted for this year". "What kind of wheat?" "I'unno. Wheaty wheat? It looks like wheat. Kinda."

Maybe. But they're running out of options as these cases get litigated. That means fraud will be limited to a few areas like harvesting and mail in ballots. That eventually becomes a dangerous game when you add things like signature matching and retention of ballot information for audits. There are cases being litigated a few of which I think finds its way to SCOTUS. This is becoming too big of an issue to ignore, and depending on what happens in the next general has the potential to go off the rails. Democrats truly believe if they can steal one more election they can change things permanently in a very bad way, irreversible for our republic. That's doesn't end well.
