They'll claim that Republicans are to blame for lower police morale, because we called attention to the War on Police and that made police sad.

Florida Man arrested for attempting to cross ocean on human-sized hamster wheel.

Coast Guard officials arrested a Florida man after they intercepted his unusual hamster wheel contraption that he was allegedly attempting to 'run' to London.

According to a criminal complaint, 44-year-old Reza Baluchi is facing federal charges after he was rescued 70 miles off Tybee Island, Georgia by coast guard officials. The marathoner was found on August 26 in his bizarre hamster wheel contraption and asked "standard questions."

"Based on the condition of the vessel -- which was afloat as a result of wiring and buoys -- USCG officers determined Baluchi was conducting a manifestly unsafe voyage," the criminal complaint says.

The "manifesting unsafe" vessel is a giant metal drum, with inflatable buoys on each side and paddles that are powered by a runner inside.

The complaint says that Baluchi was unable to provide officials with the required registration for his water vehicle and informed officials that he was running in his hamster wheel all the way to London, England.

He may seem crazy, but he's just a man with a dream.

When Coast Guard officers told Baluchi they were cutting his voyage short, Baluchi threatened to kill himself with a 12-inch knife if anyone tried to apprehend him, and claimed to have a bomb aboard, according to the complaint.

Oh wait he's crazy.

"My goal is to not only raise money for homeless people, raise money for the Coast Guard, raise money for the police department, raise money for the fire department," Baluchi said. "They are in public service, they do it for safety, and they help other people."

No wonder we had a glitch yesterday! This guy stole one of the hamster wheels!

A brand-new propaganda term is being debuted by the leftwing propaganda media:

newpropagandaterm.jpg

The UK's economy is surging post-Brexit, destroying the left's propaganda that trade with Slovakia was absolutely critical to the economic well-being of the English.

Ever since the first days of the EU referendum campaign in 2016, the Remain side has been warning us that economic disaster is on the horizon. Time and again, they have reminded us of the near-total 'expert' consensus that leaving the EU would shatter the UK economy. Since we formally left the EU in 2020, elite Remainers have developed a kind of Brexit Tourette's syndrome. Seemingly every economic challenge, from pandemic-induced supply-chain snarl-ups to post-Ukraine energy-price hikes, is now blamed squarely on Brexit.

Britain's GDP figures, in particular, have long been weaponised to the end of undermining Brexit. Mainstream media outlets have relished reporting the UK's relatively slow recovery from the Covid pandemic, compared with other advanced economies. BBC News analysis from January this year claimed that 'The UK is the only major rich economy that remains smaller -- poorer -- than prior to the pandemic and Brexit may be a factor'. In December 2022, the Financial Times sneered that 'Britain is the only G7 economy that remains smaller than it was before the pandemic', which apparently suggested that the 'damage inflicted to the economy's supply side by Covid and Brexit is even larger than previously thought'. Also from the FT, in a slickly produced video called 'The Brexit Effect', public-policy editor Peter Foster pointed to 'the gap between the UK's performance, which has uniquely suffered Brexit, and the performance of other economies which have not'. In fact, as recently as mid-August this year, it was believed that the UK had still not recovered from the pandemic, unlike every other G7 country.

Except last week, Britain's GDP figures were radically revised. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) now says that the UK economy actually recovered from the pandemic recession back in 2021. It turns out that wholesalers and the healthcare sector, in particular, had produced much greater output than previously thought.

These updated figures suggest that the UK economy is as much as two per cent larger than previously believed. This means that the UK can no longer be considered the worst-performing economy in the G7. In fact, post-Brexit, the UK recovered from the pandemic at a similar rate to France and at a faster pace than Germany, Europe's largest economy.

The ONS's revision is extraordinary. As one leading economist put it: 'The entire UK economic narrative -- post-pandemic -- has just been revised away.' The very basis for the Remainer elites' narrative of doom has now been shattered before our eyes.

The sexy, shapely ladies of The View fat-shamed Trump.

And the super-vaxxed Whoopie has covid.

Give them the corporate death penalty -- total boycott.

NEW: America's top gun safe manufacturer, Liberty Safe, gave the FBI an access code to a safe owned by someone who was present at the J6 protest.

We have officially found the Bud Light of gun safes. Enjoy going out of business, @libertysafeinc
.

The situation gets even worse: On August 30, 2023, the FBI raided the owner of the safe, Arkansas man Nathan Hughes who is a friend of the @hodgetwins
.

Not only did they access his safe but the FBI also allegedly turned off his security cameras and held his girlfriend at gun point.

In a statement Liberty Safe confirmed they gave the FBI Hughes' code:

"Liberty Safe was contacted by the FBI requesting the access code to the safe of an individual for whom they had a warrant to search their property..."

"Liberty Safe is devoted to protecting the personal property and 2nd amendment rights of our customers..."

Shameful.

17 No one wants to be a police officer anymore. The left destroyed that profession after the Saint George riots. In Philly, we went from a 6,500 department to about a 4,200 department in three years.

My division used to have 80 detectives. We have half that because everyone quit or joined a good suburban department.

19 Safe manufacturers have all that on file at their fingertips? Who the owner is and their combination?

To me that's more disturbing than them handing that info over to the FBI. Talk about an easy data breach. Some disgruntled employee can walk out of there with a thumb drive and have every safe combination and location of their owner.

69 No manufacturers don't have the owner's name and combination on file. They have a master code to open any of their safes.

This is commonly known in security circles but isn't advertised for obvious reasons.

The Feds, of course, knew or they wouldn't have asked for it. Liberty should have declined, and saved their reputation. But, ultimately, the Feds would have gotten in anyway. Liberty should still drown in a vat of Bud Light.

A manual lock is not any better. You don't even need a master code for them. There are strategies for getting any manual lock open. It's matter of how long it will take, not if. There are competitions for lock picking and it is considered a hobby.

The only thing keeping you safe from the government in your person and in your papers was the Constitution. Not your banks safety deposit boxes, not your lawyer's office, not any safe you can ever own. If they can find it they can open it.

In other words, wet toilet paper is the only thing between you and the Feds.

95 84 I don't really have a whole lot of sympathy with the police, especially when they are trying to steal from me by demanding I pay a fine for a traffic violation caught on a traffic camera.

Problem: such traffic law enforcement has been illegal in TX for the past four years. No, I don't care about what contract the city has. The law is the law. And maybe the police should have knowledge of the laws they enforce.

Our burb just installed the cameras all over town about a year ago. Husband got burned on a right turn on red without a full complete stop (he paused then rolled) when there wasn't another car in sight. Fifty bucks. If a real cop had seen him, he'd let it go, just like all the red light turners around here prior to the cameras. The cameras jacked up revenue a hundred percent, and they don't have to use gas or wear out a squad car. City is happy to take the money and do heaven knows what, because it sure isn't infrastructure.

105 Three people on board an inflatable catamaran in the Coral Sea off the northeast coast of Australia have been rescued after the vessel was damaged from several shark attacks, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) said on Wednesday.

Photos and a video on the AMSA website showed a large part of the stern of the yacht torn away.

"The vessel departed from Vanuatu and was bound for Cairns (Australia) when contact was established. Both hulls of the vessel have been damaged following several shark attacks," the AMSA said in a statement.

Rescue crews responded to an emergency positioning beacon registered to the Tion, a nine-metre inflatable catamaran on a round-the-world expedition, early on Wednesday morning. The yacht was located about 835 kms (519 miles) southeast of Cairns in the Coral Sea.

AMSA requested the assistance of a Panama-flagged vehicle carrier, which successfully conducted the rescue.

The three passengers - two Russian and one French citizen - are due to arrive in Brisbane on Thursday, AMSA said.

The three men on board the boat were unharmed, said Anna Kosikhina, a spokesperson for the voyage, which she said was aimed at promoting Russia and Siberia...

The police love to call anyone who isn't a cop a coward. For any reason. When, in truth, police officers are the biggest cowards in the country. They have all sorts of laws that coddle them. For instance:

Time was when I saw a traffic stop, I would go into the far lane driving down the road, as a courtesy. Then the cops got mad because not everyone was doing it. So it became a law. Now I can't even be courteous to them because that's the law now and not something I can exercise of my own freewill.

These are people I want to like more, but everytime I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, they spit in the face of the public while simlutaneously crying about how people must worship the ground they walk on. I don't know, maybe have a little more respect for the people who pay your wages?

136 >>Three people on board an inflatable catamaran in the Coral Sea off the northeast coast of Australia have been rescued after the vessel was damaged from several shark attacks, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) said on Wednesday.

A few years ago the Coast Guard had to rescue a 40 something year old Aussie and his dad when they attempted to sail a very, very used sailboat from here to Australia. They got as far as Martha's Vineyard before the boat started falling apart in a mid level nor'easter. The son has been sailing a handful of times, the father had never been on a boat and couldn't even swim.

I empathize with the big brother sentiment but the world is full of some really dumb mofos and when the wheels come off, and the wheels always come off, it's the Coast Guard and others like them who are sent to risk their lives to save them.

It's pretty simple when you think about it.

There is a huge amount of risk in pulling over or confronting a black person who routinely breaks the law. There is little to no risk in pulling over a white person who never does.

Quotas don't care. They just need the "public interaction" or "Vehicular safety enforcement" or whatever it is that they pretend isn't a quota come annual performance review time.

167 @121/andycanuck: Okay, now that's funny. :-)

Regarding LibertySafe though: All safe manufacturers keep track of the default combination that any safe ships out with, and any licensed locksmith can contact them to get that default combination.

Changing the code on an analog dial safe (3 or 4 wheel) is actually pretty easy. There are youtube videos on this. Learn how to do it, and never rely on the combination the safe shipped with. Analog wheel dials only remember one combination at a time, so once you reset it, the previous one is gone.

Digital combination entry on a safe I wouldn't trust. There could be a few alternate combinations stored in memory. You'd never know.

The next time the cops whine about there not being quotas, point out that local governments budget X amount of dollars to be raised through fines. So in every locality you visit in America, you are guilty until proven guilty.
