Comer Subpeonas DHS Secretary Mayorkas and Secret Service in Joe Biden Corruption Probe

The Secret Service allegedly tipped off Hunter Biden about the coming probe into tax evasion in 2020.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer subpoenaed Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and several DHS and Secret Service officials for documents and testimony related to the Secret Service's alleged tip-off of the Biden transition team regarding a planned Hunter Biden tax probe interview in 2020, while also accusing the agencies of obstructing a congressional investigation.

Fox News Digital exclusively obtained letters and the subpoenas sent to Mayorkas and Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle Tuesday.

Comer sent a total of six subpoenas Tuesday-- one directed to Secretary Mayorkas for documents; and five for depositions--two to Secret Service officials and three to DHS officials.

Fox News Digital has obtained and reviewed the subpoenas.

A DHS official told Fox News Digital that it was working to respond to the committee's inquiry before the subpoenas were issued, and denied the claim that the agency "obstructed" the panel's probe.

"The Department of Justice initiated the Biden family coverup and now DHS under the leadership of Secretary Mayorkas is complicit in it," Comer told Fox News Digital. "Investigators were never able to interview Hunter Biden during the criminal investigation because Secret Service headquarters and the Biden transition team were tipped off about the planned interview. This is just one of many examples of the misconduct and politicization during the Department of Justice's investigation."

...

Comer added that House Republicans "will hold the Biden Administration accountable for running interference for the Biden family's corruption and criminal activity."

...

One whistleblower explained that the FBI and IRS sought to interview Hunter Biden on Dec. 8, 2020. The whistleblower told Congress that on Dec. 7, 2020--the night before the interview--the whistleblower was informed that the FBI had "notified Secret Service headquarters and the transition team about the planned actions the following day...essentially tipping off a group of people very close to President Biden and Hunter Biden and gave this group an opportunity to obstruct the approach on the witness."

That testimony was corroborated by a former FBI supervisory special agent who accompanied that IRS whistleblower during the attempt to interview Hunter Biden. The interview did not occur.

Back in Lincoln's day, there were many types of currency and they had a HUGE counterfeit problem. Some estimates say 1/3 of all currency at that time was counterfeit. Lincoln created the Secret Service originally as an anti-counterfeiting investigation agency. They were called Secret Service because of the secret nature of their investigation purposes.

It wasn't Lincoln's assassination that caused the addition of presidential protection to their duties. They waited for two more presidents to be assassinated before that became official.

The 61 people indicted are from 23 states. A nationwide insurrectionist conspiracy.

Garland treated the Pence and Biden cases completely differently. It's like he bowed to GOP pressure to keep Biden investigations going to damage him for '24. This should've been dismissed just as the Pence case was...no SC was need on the Biden doc case as there was not attempt to hide docs and they were immediately turned over.

Ever heard of any "registered", or "life-long" Democrat, or liberals being appointed SC to investigate a Democrat?

I don't, BUT...EVERY time a SC is needed to investigate a Retrumplican, that SC seems to be either a "registered Retrumplican", or "long-term conservative".

in order to make it "bipartisan", Retrumplicans must be investigated by registered Retrumplicans, and Democrats must also be investigated by "registered Retrumplicans".

It's a good bit of their market cap.

Assuming $24 billion to buy it, that's 16.2% of its market cap today. That's a lot of money no matter how you slice it.

It also implies that Hulu is worth around $72 billion in total, which is around half of Disney's market cap - except that it's already baked in because DIS already owns 2/3 of it and controls the other third.

239 I'm very curious about the details of the Liberty Safe incident.

Is this an electronic lock with a secret back door? Or is it a dial combination lock that has a fixed combination the safe manufacturers save in their archive?

one of the nice things about moving to Illinois from New Orleans is we get cool evenings in summer .... in NOLA it was hot first thing in the early morning.

Average high for Sept 6th here is 81, average low is 59.
For Denver it is 83/51. For NOLA it is 90/75. Low humidity is a key comfort factor out west.

Which is to say, it would seem to me, it would be more prudent to have a policy that we give it out to no one no matter what. But then they may get a subpoena for the info. From a legal perspective, it would seem they would be forced to comply, but would a judge ever say no they don't have to comply? Bingo. The problem is not so much that the company cooperated with the FBI - any company will do so, not matter what. It should demand a subpoena, but that will be immediately forthcoming and then the company will comply with the demand. No company will refuse a lawful (or even apparently lawful) order on your behalf and it is unreasonable to expect one to do so.

But why was there any way for the company to comply with the order? Why do they have a bypass procedure (a back door) on a security device? A security device with an alternate means of ingress is unacceptable in every way, and nobody should buy their product on that basis alone. If they failed to disclose that they have a back door (I don't know if they disclose it or not), the company should be sued into oblivion because they sold a security product that does not provide security.

My bet - knowing nothing about the product - is that it probably was disclosed, albeit not clearly. It was probably presented as a product feature billed as something like a "recovery procedure in case you forget your combination." Most people likely won't put two and two together that this means that the company can let *anyone* into your safe, but it would serve as a disclosure of the possibility.

Is this an electronic lock with a secret back door? Or is it a dial combination lock that has a fixed combination the safe manufacturers save in their archive?
Posted by: bonhomme

Not reported. Most low end 'safes' (actually Residential Storage Containers) have battery powered electric locks nowadays. A few still have combinations for less than 1 k. As you go up in price, you get more including a keylock on the actual dial of a manual combination lock to prevent auditory safe cracking methods. More money also gets you a more UL listed reliable electric lock. The cheaper models usually have a key lock bypass so that you can open the safe when the cheapo Chinesium electric lock dies.

Electronic lock. My understanding is the backdoor code is somehow tied to the safe's serial number. For my LS anyways, the electronic lock is actually made by someone else: Sargent & Greenleaf (S&G) electronic safe locks.

From their website:
The Low Profile S&G lock has a clean interface with rounded rectangular buttons. Liberty Safe primarily uses the Model 6120 Low Profile, and it is great for commercial and residential use. It is EMP-resistant and simplifies security upgrades for your safe. Other features of this lock include:

UL-Listed Type 1
Up to 9 codes allowed (1 master and 8 users)
Single control operating mode
Time delay 1-9 minutes
Penalty lockout
Management reset code

Liberty sells a few cheapo models in mass merchandisers while their more expensive 'safes' come from local dealers who also provide service to these safes. That is about par for the course among safe brands. Third parties often have to get into safes for estate reasons, divorce proceedings, forgetfullness of owners, and sometimes lock failures. Even expensive manual combination locks can 'drift' a bit from wear and time from the actual original combination. Knew of one premium safe that was over 4k back years ago that drifted about 4 points from the original final combination number. You had to feel for resistance on the dial if you did not know that the drift existed.

376 364 TUSKAHOMA, Okla.—As agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) left Russell Fincher’s house with 50 legally-owned firearms and his freshly relinquished Federal Firearms License (FFL), they offered him a tip.

“They said, ‘Tell all your FFL friends we’re coming for them next,’” Mr. Fincher told The Epoch Times.

377 They were always going to be imprisoned cuz even Democrats can't let insane pedo trannies run around fomenting violence and destruction. Throwing them now into the hoosegow would definitely help the Dims.

Yup. We all knew that was coming. Funny that Antifa didn't.

379 250. The lawfare left can't seriously think that SCOTUS is going to end up going along with this, can they?

Much discussed online today. Yes or no, in as far as opinions.

Not a lawyer but wouldn't challenges need to begin at various States' levels & possibly rise up through the court system? If nothing, unless or even if challenges were incorporated, the process would be a time waster.

Wondering what happens if such a challenge travels through the system & up to the Supremes but it couldn't be hear before the 2024 election. Same effect?

Oh, I know that, I just want to hear their "legal justification." I also know that the 4th Amendment is dead, I married Big Brother.

Are you in before the guy who always says nothing will happen, or, if you say nothing will happen, does that make you the guy who always says nothing will happen?

Its a paradox.

No, it happens. Not often enough for my taste, but it happens. Then I have to listen to natives complaining, because they are dressed in T-shirts and shorts just as in August. I tell them, "There's this new technology; it's in the stores and online now. It's called coats and jackets."

Yes, except you wouldn't want to be drinking coffee today when it's 95 degrees unless it was iced coffee.

385 Yes, let's subpoena Mayorkas again because just flat-out IMPEACHING him, after threatening to do so for countless months to a year is such an actionable strategy. Republicans are deliberately tone deaf of just really give a shit.

Always in the McCarthy House, appearance over substance.

FUCK THE G.O.P.!!!

386 Sorry for the grammatical errors in the last post. It's hard not to feel one's brain boil over at every little NOTHING action (if you can really call it action) by the Republican House.

Why do we even vote?
