Biden Poll Numbers Now Lower Than the Biden Household Age of Consent

Poll:A large majority of Americans reject Bidenomics.

A super-majority of voters have negative views of the U.S. economy and disapprove of President Biden's handling of the issue, according to a Wall Street Journal poll that the paper describes as "a stark warning to the 80-year-old incumbent ahead of the 2024 contest."

Sixty-three percent of American registered voters say the economy's strength is "not so good" or "poor." Just 32 percent say the economy is "good" and only five percent say the economy is "excellent."

...

When asked how the economy has fared over the past two years, 58 percent say the economy has gotten worse. Just 28 percent say the economy has gotten better. Twelve percent say the economy is about the same as it was two years ago.

Although the rate of inflation has declined this year, Americans are unhappy with rising prices. Seventy-four percent say inflation has moved in the wrong direction, with just 20 percent saying it has moved in the right direction.

Fifty-four percent say their personal financial situation has moved in the wrong direction over the past year. Thirty-eight percent say their situation has moved in the right direction. Fifty-three percent say the availability of products and goods has moved in the wrong direction.

Fifty-nine percent say they disapprove of Biden's handling of the economy, basically unchanged since the Wall Street Journal polled the question in March and April. Forty-eight percent say they "strongly" disapprove of Biden's handling of the economy.

Sixty percent say they disapprove of Biden's handling of inflation and rising costs, including a majority--51 percent-- who say they strongly disapprove.

Although Biden claims his programs are growing the economy "from the bottom up and the middle out," most Americans do not agree. Fifty-eight percent say they disapprove of Biden's handling of the issue of growing the middle class, including 47 percent who wrongly disapprove. Just 36 percent say they approve of Biden's handling of the issue.

So of course a Biden spokesliar goes and claims that 80% of Americans support Bidenomics.

Nowhere else does Joe Biden poll worse than on the economy - and for some reason, his administration has made pitching it the number one selling point of their 2024 campaign.

Speaking to Shannon Bream, Biden's Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, Jared Bernstein, rattled off a few aspects of the Biden economic agenda that poll well, such as giving Medicare more power in negotiating drug prices (a policy supported by Trump), capping insulin costs (which Trump also pushed) and offering tax incentives for manufacturing jobs (which Trump's Tax Cuts and Jobs Act also did).

"These are the components of Bidenomics," Bernstein said. "So, when someone tells you Americans don't like Bidenomics, it's false. Americans approve of the components above 80 percent. And that's because these measures are helping do what President Biden has long sought to do in this economy: build it from the middle out and the bottom up."

They deployed this deceptive tactic all through Obama's first two terms. They tell you that people support the vague goals Obama is pursuing -- "Yes, I'd like free money, and a big boost in my salary, and all my expenses comped by the government like I'm a whale staying at the Belagio" -- and pretend that is the same as the public supporting specific plans and the implementation and results of those plans.

Don't expect a "Fact" check from Jake the Snake Tapper.

That WSJ poll also says that two thirds of Democrats believe that Biden is too old to be president -- and too old even to run for reelection.

Voters overwhelmingly think President Biden is too old to run for re-election and give him low marks for handling the economy and other issues important to their vote, according to a new Wall Street Journal poll that offers a stark warning to the 80-year-old incumbent ahead of the 2024 contest.

The negative views of Biden's age and performance in office help explain why only 39% of voters hold a favorable view of the president. In a separate question, some 42% said they approve of how he is handling his job, well below the 57% who disapprove. ...

Although the candidates are only three years apart, 73% of voters said they feel Biden is too old to seek a second term, compared with 47% of voters who said the same of the 77-year-old Trump. Two-thirds of Democrats said Biden was too old to run again.

A Biden spokesliar will soon tell us that "80% of Americans support the idea that older Americans can be very productive and valued members of society."

I’d be interested in seeing how they measured “baseline cognitive function” in such a way as to avoid the obvious possibility that people at double the risk of dementia are already having trouble navigating relationships and the world around them, which would make attempting to use the web (assuming this is what they mean by “the internet”) a very frustrating if not pointless experience.

Yeah, there's no way this isn't coordinated to work out exactly like the TSA and border patrol whistleblowers timeline said it would work.

You can't start COVID in August of the election year. Gotta get ramped up before the year is out so that the Secretaries of State can set up the mail in vote fraud systems in time for the election.

170 James Melville @JamesMelville
Scotland
This is absolutely bonkers.

30mph speed limit on Scotland's busiest motorway is passed by Glasgow council.

'Mad' Green plan for 30mph speed limit on busy motorway is PASSED by council

Transport Scotland has said it will work with the city administration with a view toward implementing the proposal after councillors ignored warnings about the impact on the city economy

Escape the Grind @TheGrindEscape
Cars are less efficient at 30mph than 60mph

Tim Bromige @Timbrom2
Also entirely counter productive. Can’t we get someone with some basic knowledge of internal combustion to explain speed v petrol consumption? Having said that, it probably wouldn’t matter as the purpose is to get the riffraff out of their cars.

lapogus @lapogus1
I explained this to the green council / activist when they first proposed this 30mph limit. He seemed surprised, i.e. didn't know that this would cause higher emissions. Then defended it on the grounds of an old German study, which was based on stop-start traffic jams.

The Democrats continually campaign on "Making the wealthy pay their fair share in taxes!" To con the lower economic classes into vote Democrat. The Democrats never put a tax rate value on the fair share the wealthy should pay in Income Tax, or any other Federal Tax (wealth, inheritance, capital gains, you name it.). Twice the Junta has told us its tax bills passed through Congress have finally made the wealthy pat their fair share in Federal taxes. Yet they will certainly campaign again in 2024 on making the wealthy finally pay their fair share.

This is only possible because of LIVs and a Lapdog Media.

Prices go up 9% in 2022. That becomes the baseline.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but prices have not gone down in the least and are in fact much higher and continuing to get higher as percentage increases from the new baseline are going to be bigger because the baseline is bigger.

maybe it is only the top half or so who can travel. a third of people in a neighborhood nesr me are food insecure, which has been greatly increased by inflation. We shouldn't try to convince them the economy is doing well—we have to address the needs they have.

Wait until six months before the election. Russia and Saw-Die Arabia will crank back the flow of oil to the market place. Create a major supply problem and drive the price of gasoline and heating fuel up to $7 to $8 a gallon. That will put a major dent in Biden's re-election chances. The stock market will tank and inflation will revisit us. The economy will wobble by design come November 2024.

Conservatives are the ones who repeatedly and aggressively vote against helping people. But then they go on those stupid fucking talk and convince their followers that it's the other guy's fault for their misery. Damn them to hell.

324 298 I am not good at math but this does not make sense.
Prices go up 9% in 2022. That becomes the baseline.
Prices go up 3% in 2023 over the new baseline. How does that make things better. My read is that prices are now up 12% over 2021. Correct me if I'm wrong, but prices have not gone down in the least and are in fact much higher and continuing to get higher as percentage increases from the new baseline are going to be bigger because the baseline is bigger.
Posted by: sharon(willow's apprentice) at September 05, 2023 01:31 PM (t/2Uw)

Prices go up every year. You want a little inflation every year because deflation is about the worst thing for an economy. 2-3% is ideal.

But we are not down to 3%. That is a fucking lie. We’re still near 10%.

Also your math is a bit off. Prices haven’t increased by 12% in 2 years. It’s 1.09 X 1.03 which is 12.27%. Inflation works like compound interest on savings.

325 Wait until six months before the election.

The market is pretty well locked up. Prices are holding up courtesy of rock-bottom inventory levels (nobody wants to sell and give up the 3% money in favor of 7.5% money), but the market is grinding to a halt. Interest rate effects may help keep the market from crashing - time will tell - but the collapse in inventories is its own problem.

There is no free lunch.

389 Auron MacIntyre: The collapse of the GOP would be more dangerous for the regime than a victory by the GOP

395 “Obviously, if you were sick during covid, you should stay home and isolate. No one disputes that.”

Oh I dispute that. Big Time.

99% recovery rate. It was a bad cold, unless comorbitiies…just look at the IFR numbers.

I do not accept the stay-at-home bullshit. Anymore than I would for the flu. (Yes, that’s a good policy…but not worth locking down the country)
