Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Quick Hits Part OneBiden's demented brain confabulates a new retcon: he claims he "literally convinced" the segregationist Strom Thurmond to vote in favor of the Civil Rights Act. Even among Biden's innumerable lies, this one sets a new standard for mendacity, as every detail of it is false: the Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964, eight and a half years before Biden entered the Senate, Thurmond voted against it, and the segregationist senator didn't die until nearly forty years later. Is it the dementia? Or is it just Joe being Joe? It's increasingly hard to tell the difference. Biden sounded even feebler than usual as he spoke to the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. "Pause for just a moment," Old Joe began weakly. "I thought things had changed." He was reiterating his false and destructive claim that America in 2023 is beset by a systemic racism that only socialism and forced redistribution of wealth can cure. Sounding as if he were on the brink of collapse, he summoned the strength to go on: "I was able to -- literally, not figuratively -- talk Strom Thurmond into voting for the, the Civil Rights Act before he died. And I thought, 'Well, maybe there's real progress.' But hate never dies, it just hides. It hides under the rocks." How does someone "figuratively" convince someone else to do something? But never mind, that's the least of the problems with Old Joe's latest ramble. The Civil Rights Act passed the Senate by a 73 to 27 vote on June 19, 1964. Thurmond and other Southern Democrat senators (Thurmond would later become a Republican) made up twenty of the 27 dissenting votes. Old Joe Biden wouldn't enter the Senate until Jan. 3, 1973. When the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed, Biden was enjoying the summer before his senior year at the University of Delaware. There is no indication that Young Joe, 21 years old at the time, knew Strom Thurmond or spoke with him about the Civil Rights Act.Video at the link. Meanwhile, the spree criminal and foreign operative Hunter Biden is "downsizing" due to China and Burisma not sending him $100,000 every month, and moving into a very small, very modest $15,800 per month Malibu beach mansion. Hunter Biden, who is embroiled in a tenuous legal position, reportedly downsized to a $15,800 a month ocean view Malibu home, a substantial cut back from his previous $20,000 a month California residence. While the national average rental price is just north of $2,000 a month, Hunter Biden, the first family's business rainmaker, pays $15,800 a month for a beautiful residence on the Pacific Ocean, the Daily Mail reported. Hunter Biden's new home is a three-bed, three-bath compound with panoramic sea views, built on a cliff in a gated community. The rental's listing calculates the home's square footage to be 2,500, with an estimated value of over $4 million. The property's listing describes it as having "mesmerizing ocean views that are the ultimate backdrop for dining alfresco or stargazing over the shimmering Pacific" and a "vastly open floor plan, beautiful wood-beamed ceilings and large windows that give the illusion of being fully immersed and in total harmony with nature." The house also boasts a luxurious kitchen and a "guest studio with private balcony overlooking the ocean that creates the perfect artistic space."Oh right he does "art" now. And his main patrons just happen to be wealthy Democrat donors and Chinese businessmen. Someone Failed to Position Kamala Harris for Success again:
A Gen Zer is shocked to learn that adults are expected to work in exchange for the wages they then use to sustain themselves.

Yeah. I don't "love" my job, but it does have the benefit of "flexibility", wherein I can attend the TX Mo Meet, attend the NRA Annual Meetings, fly off to Scotland for a wedding, and other various and sundry doings.
At age 65, there is not a single HR department in the nation that would do much beyond hitting "delete" on reviewing my well documented, Fortune 1000 resume. Too old, over-qualified; they'd assume I'd be too expensive, too. (actually, I'm only $20, same as I've done a LOT of work I didn't "love". But I did take pride in doing those jobs well, and to the best of my abilities. HER next "internship" should be as a plumber's apprentice. Corn Pop was a bad dude. He prevented me from literally traveling back in time with HG Well's time machine to convince Strom to vote for the Civil Rights Act. So I had someone cut me a six foot chain to exert a little old fashioned Scrotum Joe axel grease to CP's noggin out behind the high school gym. So CP said "Hey, you got me Joe--I will travel to another unobserved quantum state and talk that ol' cracker into voting for the Act." Then CP stroked the blonde hairs on my legs and disappeared into the ether. And that's the story of how I got Corn Pop to talk my buddy Strom into voting for the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

It was like going to Hell for work for 6 days a week. I stank and no amount of soap and scalding hot water would wash the stink off. My clothes stank. My truck stank. Every time I tried to make love the stink of the slaughterhouse would assail my nostrils. The oil field was like dying and going to heaven.

Why? Marx argued capitalism contains inherent contradictions that would lead to its downfall. In the last century or so, Marx enthusiasts have been using the phrase to describe all of society's failings and ascribe those failings to the contradictions and faults in the system of capitalism. As far as I can tell, the phrase has always been used by communists as a shorthand descriptor of the idea that capitalism is bad and it is crumbling. DumDum: "'F---k each and every person who made this system and keeps it upright and acts like they're happy about it, too,' she went on."
Guess what? You could be working at the exact same job (or likely worse) making even less and with nothing on the shelves to buy. Would you prefer that, cause it could be arranged by simply moving to any number of places. If you had learned anything from school and life at all, it's that the system you want is horribly worse and that even the potential of rising doesn't exist. But you're a Dummy. > My motivation to finish college was getting held up at gunpoint at work.
I never got robbed at gunpoint, but I've been shot at. One time I was hiking on a trail and some dude across the river on an Indian Rez started taking shots at me. I took cover, waited for him to reload, and ran. No injuries. Posted by: bonhomme at August 29, 2023 07:04 PM (0N1h0) 280

Friends brought a young girl age 10 to ride with them. As the riding was winding down she looked over at me and said " when I am about 13 I want to come and work for you so I can learn to do all of this job"

Worst job I've ever had was a summer job while waiting to go on active duty. My father-in-law got it for me. He didn't like me. It was as a flat roofer. We were putting a new roof on the American Tobacco plant and warehouse in Louisville. It was humongous.
I was the only non felon on the crew. There was a hierarchy in the crew. Pimps were at the bottom, foreman was on parole for manslaughter. I was a collage boy so they saved the worst for me. We had to take the old roof off first. It consisted of gravel and tar paper with fiberglass insulation. We chopped it up in sections, shoveled it into wheel barrows and threw it into a dump truck. Tar dust burns the skin and fiberglass dust gets in the pores. Bad combination for a shower. It actually got worse when laying the new roof. Developed a taste for Cold Duck. That was Friday after work happy hour for the crew. Only lasted for four months. Willowed I'm sure. Always takes me forever to write this stuff. I get paid over $85 per hour working from home with 2 kids at home. I never thought I'd be able to do it but my best friend earns over 10k a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless.

I'm making $90 an hour working from home. I never imagined that it was honest to goodness yet my closest companion is earning 16,000 US dollars a month by working on the connection, that was truly astounding for me, she prescribed for me to attempt it simply. Everybody must try this job now by just using this website... http://www.Salary49.com
