Several wild cards abroad can turn out badly." an alternate wild card, which of course will also turn out badly: cities like Portland, San Fran, and Philly crash and burn, so this administration chooses to ignore Congress completely and just starts sending them billions by bureaucratic order, just like they are doing with Ukraine. The fed will just add a zero to the balance in every government account to make sure there's plenty of cash to go around. This is the path to Argentine style inflation - 10 per cent per month. So I see on the sidebar that Ukraine was the nation that attacked a NATO member.
And not only did NATO not have a meeting discussing how to move forward with action against Ukraine, the USA is full steam ahead supporting the nation that attacked a NATO country, and trying to get the attacker into NATO. But Russia or something. Posted by: Have you figured out that the gay flag is a p3d0 flag? at August 26, 2023 08:24 AM (pQ2gM) 16

A concern was brought up in the comments that applies to many churches nowadays. Prayers are needed for churches (members and leaders) to remain faithful to the Bible. Some congregations are resigning from church denominations that have chosen to teach something other than Biblical Christianity. Some people are having to separate from their church homes, due to the false teaching occurring. Please pray for people to have the knowledge and strength to remain faithful to the Word.

15 So I see on the sidebar that Ukraine was the nation that attacked a NATO member."
not to defend Ukraine - that's not my job - but the story they are pushing is the laughably ridiculous claim that the pipeline was really blown up by the Skipper and Gillian with bombs that the Professor made out of coconuts. Seriously, they are claiming that 6 people on a pleasure yacht sailed to the middle of the baltic and somehow were able to carry out an extremely sophisticated deep water demolition. The US tried pushing this about a year ago, and then just quit talking about it. The only reason for this story is to try to provide some explanation (rather than just stonewalling forever) that lets the Russians, the Americans, and yes the official Uke govm't off the hook for any blame. (that's why it says "rogue elements".) The US did it - the evidence is indisputable. And everyone in NATO knows the US did it, and is fine with it. The evidence for the US attack on Nordstream was published online some time ago, although it quickly became hard to find. One man scoured all the publicly available air vehicle tracing records, and found that a US anti-sub was on station and hovering over the sight of the first explosion *at the time* that it happened. Also, a US Navy P3 (capable of underwater monitoring) took off from its base some time *before* the explosion, flew directly to the site with no deviations, and arrived shortly after the explosion to begin monitoring the situation. This same plane flew directly to the site of the 2nd explosion that happened later, and did the same thing. There is no question that the US military knew the exact time and location of both of these blasts before they happened. IE, it was a US Naval operation, most likely an underwater demolition team operating from a sub.

UAW "workers" demand a 46% wage increase and a 20% reduction in work hours (40hrs to 32hrs). Lovely post by the UAW on X: "Harris described a grueling pace (on the assembly line) that left her legs injured and required hospitalization at one point. She said the line moves constantly." "We're ready to strike. We're tired" she said. Below is a photo of obese old Gen-X and maybe young Boomers holding signs. ALL of them are obese. ALL of them look like between shifts they gorge at buffets. ALL look like they never knew a gym and will die of diabetes. Clue to the stupid: You probably shouldn't take up a job in roofing either. So I went to see what the fuss was all about w/r/t to the junta torturing the people by jacking with century old technology that provides comfort on the cheap: ceiling fans.
Pretty much every website that provides clues on how to reduce your electrical usage recommends running ceiling fans to keep the air circulating and not pooling towards the ceiling. That demon from the Energy Department said that these new standards to raise the efficiency of ceiling fans will save "$39 in energy costs over the lifetime of the fan" I sold a house with working fans dating from 1976. The savings is based on them pretending to know the kW/hr price of energy from now to at least fifty years from now - all at the same time Leviathan has pledged to make electricity unaffordable and unreliable. _______________ The waters of the Baltic are shallow, compared to the Atlantic or Pacific (or even the Med.) It's possible that underwater sensors placed to detect Soviet, now Russian subs detected "something" and the P-8 was dispatched to monitor. What that "something" was.... who knows. I don't discount US involvement either. But I do think if Russia, and by extension Putin knew we were responsible/involved he'd have hit US infrastructure somewhere, globally, as retaliation. Or perhaps all those food processing and refinery fires/explosions were Russia's doing. Or not. It does seem like the US was privy to some sort of intel to be operating "right there" at the time. FBI investigators misunderstood the law, and were thus too slow to search Moussaoui even though the evidence in their possession was more than sufficient. He would probably be annoyed if he knew I was asking for prayer for him, because I think he's an Agnostic or at any rate, won't believe in God unless God proves himself to him, but the poster originally known as Scogg Dog mentioned yesterday he is about to be involved in a divorce. Divorce is never easy emotionally or financially , and I'm not sure what to pray about this, but both he and his wife and kids-as the old hymn says are "Standing in the need or prayer" at a contentious time.

Forget about the nonsensical faggotry of it all, the vast majority of people do not have the technical expertise, desire or inclination to change their own ceiling fan(s), so it's going to cost anywhere from 50 to 150 per fan to change them out.
I'm pretty sure they aren't going to perform a door-to-door search for old ceiling fans. This will be requirements imposed on the fan making industry to redesign their fans to please their task masters in Babylon DC. I suspect that there really isn't much that can be done to materially improve the fan motors, except some exotic bearings or more copper windings on the motor, so the "efficiency" is mostly towards blade design - essentially they are criminalizing designer fans that aesthetically bring a room together. highly doubt that a handful of Ukranians blew up the Nordstrom pipeline. Highly likely it was the USA that attacked a NATO member.
- Absolutely. I'm certain it was the USA as well. Point being that there are (well, used to be) laws, procedures, plans, etc. All of that is gone. They aren't even pretending any longer. People are starting to notice it at the national and world level and act accordingly at their own level. That's extremely bad for society and civilization. My wife is re arranging the pantry.
I havent a clue why. Mine has some sort of disorder who feels that once the clearly labeled original container from the store is opened, the contents that remains must be put into another unlabeled plastic container. When the contents of the container fill less than the container, the contents are shifted to a smaller unlabeled container and placed on a different shelf.
YMMV Posted by: Martini Farmer at August 26, 2023 08:55 AM (Q4IgG) Putin has proven himself to be an unimaginative thug, a complete idiot when it comes to navigating international arenas. He never does the sensible or straightforward thing - he waits, does nothing, lets the situation get terrible, then lashes out, then denies it all in a way that no one believes him. Look at the whole situation with Prig, which is Putin's fault more than anyone else's. Everyone with sense knew it was insane to nurture a huge mercenary army that would be in competition with your regular army, that it would have to end badly. Now, after almost having to deal with a coup, he's ended it by decapitating Wagner, but there will be plenty of internal blowback from that for years to come. Just one of his mistakes. Maxwell House or Folgers?
It's the long-running coffee battle that got going big in the 1980's. Brewed cups from the red can for most of my life but about 10 years ago, switched to the blue can and have stayed with it since. Folgers has a more smoky but somewhat bitter aftertaste. Maxwell House has a more ripe but fruiter aftertaste. It's that lingering aftertaste that made me switch. Haven’t posted in awhile, here’s an update. Mrs.Bob finally came for a visit, planned for a week, but left after one day. She said reconciliation was just too much work, that she felt free and unburdened without me and the kids, and that God wanted her to be happy and she could only think of herself. She left without explanation or goodbye to the girls, and, for the last three weeks has been making party girl posts on FB (here’s me at the live music fest at the bar, etc.) Our youngest came to me crying when she posted one saying, “so blessed to have friends with boats” along with a selfie on a party barge. Daughter asked why she thought friends with boats was a greater blessing than the family she’s left behind. Anyway, she served me with papers on Tuesday, so soon it will all be behind me. On the bright side, I’ve lost 115 lbs, started flight school, and, most importantly am closer to God and my girls than ever. Still pray daily for wife- don’t know or understand who she is anymore.

Good morning, fellow Ace Amen Corner enthusiasts!
I sense that the tempo of spiritual warfare is intensifying of late, so let us recall the wisdom of Dom Lorenzo Scupoli and recall his instructions on how to triumph in the spiritual combat. 1. Distrust of the Self 2. Absolute confidence in God 3. Orienting our faculties and senses to God 4. Frequent Prayer With these weapons, our victory is certain. Without them, we are lost. When you feel overwhelmed, when everything is out of your control, do not be afraid to cry out to God: "My Lord! Do not abandon your soldier!" He never will. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Thanks for adding the "Stay with the Bible" one. Our version is "Stay confessed and hang on". We thought the big drought-stricken limb on the oak tree out front had broken completely off and was wedged on a limb stump. Turns out after trimming it down, there is still a flap holding it in place. The disposal was always a job for the tree guys, but now it's going to hang there 'til October probably. Well in this case the machining is done on mahogany because these things are status symbols. In large volume production they most probably will be molded but things get complicated when you have to have a system that's dynamically balanced. Machining also has a lot of material waste and takes a lot of time on a very expensive piece of equipment. Posted by: pawn at August 26, 2023 09:46 AM (wsHtO) 234

IMHO, getting stuck in trench warfare over garbage territory is indecision at its worst - do what it takes to win quick, or find a way out. (The US has made that mistake a lot over the last 60 years or so, too) You're correct about bad info - but there's no dispute that the entire leadership structure of the Wagner Group was liquidated a couple days ago, and it's ridiculous to suggest that happened without Putin's approval. Immediate consequence - now Russia will have to deal with a large number of heavily armed, very violent men internally who will be analogous to Ronin, with no clear loyalty to anyone. I'm writing a book on Speculative Theology and so have been doing research. First of all, the prophets and the apostles got their asses beat down and many tortured to death. Prison time was pretty much always part of the deal. John the Baptist was the featured guest at a royal party (or at least his head was). In 1 Kings 22, we read about the prophet Micaiah, who was only one of five people to ever see the throne room of God, but he was dragged out of prison, told Ahab and Jehoshaphat the truth and for delivering God's word (which Ahab commanded him to do) was rewarded by being thrown for the rest of his life in a prison on a starvation diet of "water and bread of affliction". Calvinist luminary Karl Barth was considered the leading theologian of the 20th Century yet he kept a mistress in his home for 40 years, carefully concealing it so his reputation wouldn't suffer. Worse still, he felt justified in doing so because his work was so important, and his secretary (the mistress) so necessary that he reasoned it was part of God's plan. His adultery had divine sanction, because love can't be wrong. He wrote that in the 1920s, btw, showing how old the "love is love" trope is. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. All it takes is one accident or nasty disease, and she will know what being completely alone is. Posted by: Reuben Hick at August 26, 2023 09:42 AM (p8A+W) I had a friend here, a hispanic man who worked with his hands. Stable, sensible, not glamorous but solid. Teenage kids. His wife left him for some flashy looking guy she met at her office who was 10 years younger than her, and had a nicer house. She jumped ship and moved in with him, without a second thought, cold as ice. Flash forward one year, and suddenly New Boyfriend is kicking her out of the house, trading her in on a new model, 20 years younger. (Surprise, surprise) So she goes back to old husband, crying, saying "boo hoo hoo, it was all a big mistake, I never meant it, I got no place to live now." I was proud of him - he just said "NO." Three British professors recently claimed that statistical analyses have been weaponized to “serve white racial interests” within academia and beyond.
Led by David Gillborn, a professor at the University of Birmingham, the professors argue that math serves white interests because it can “frequently encode racist perspectives beneath the facade of supposed quantitative objectivity.” “Contrary to popular belief, and the assertions of many quantitative researchers, numbers are neither objective nor color-blind,” Gillborn and his team assert in their article for the journal Race, Ethnicity, and Education. 2+2=jive turkey Posted by: rhennigantx at August 26, 2023 10:07 AM (BRHaw) 271

------- It's freaky. Their military has been shown to be pretty incompetent. But as you note, these are now blooded troops, no longer green ones, and they know the lay of the land in the combat theater. They'll be able to form the nucleus of a larger army, when Putin's recruiting woes becomes a thing of the past, after the US attacks Russia. Meanwhile, our guys are rusty, and as you also point out, demoralized by woke nonsense. But the GOP presidential debate probably marked the beginning of crazy season.
Posted by: NaughtyPine at August 26, 2023 10:19 AM (/+bwe) --- It's been here for years. Must (if not most) of the craziness is actually spiritual warfare. The bizarre insistence on sexualizing children, for example. The use of state power to keep open liquor stores while closing churches to stop the spread of a disease. It's interesting to see which "conservatives" actually have faith vs those who use it gull the rubes. Dubya is a great example - totally silent when Roe fell, but happy to help throw shade at Trump who made it happen. It's interesting to see people around me who get what is happening vs those who don't. The irreligious ones seem much more agitated than those who understand what's actually going on. The real battleground is within our souls. By reaching out to God and sharing out faith, we are getting far more accomplished than by writing a check to a campaign or putting a sign in the yard. Our local church communities must embrace the role of spiritual fortresses, unassailable redoubts and beacons of hope. Posted by: Have you figured out that the gay flag is a p3d0 flag? at August 26, 2023 10:27 AM (pQ2gM) I found that article, and it was fascinating. The NCAA's fatal flaw was that it was a extra-legal governing body, relying only on the agreement of its members. It never had any actual legal authority, which is why it lost when it found its rules challenged in court. another thing is that Coats said that his side in the case always wanted a negotiated settlement that would leave the NCAA with a lot of power, but the NCAA (which he said stood for Never Compromise Anything Anytime) pushed the to the SCOTUS. And once they got to that point, and won a total victory, there was no need to negotiate with the NCAA about anything. it's always amazing how many people, and organizations, will charge into litigation without thinking about what it means if they lose everything. Posted by: Sharon(willow's apprentice) at August 26, 2023 10:40 AM (t/2Uw) I'm just finishing cup #1, but yeah, don't believe any of it. "Cases are up" is not the same as a health crisis. If anything, due to silly policies, hospitals in particular will face personnel shortages, when they test everybody, and find more people testing positive, and force them to stay home. Which means, when a typical hospital flow into the autumn and winter hit, they won't be at capacity, and won't be able to manage the patient flow. So they'll tell everyone to put on masks, which won't make any difference, but because everyone is hyper-focused on testing, they will have manufactured a "crisis." All indications whatever strain we're up to now, it'll just keep becoming more infectious, and less harmful. Which is what viruses do, even manufactured ones, but they'll leave out that part. Posted by: runner at August 26, 2023 10:45 AM (V13WU) --- Just look at the calendar. Enlistments are typically 8 years in all, with varying obligations of active duty, typically 3-6. So the last people to sign up under Trump did so in 2020. Enlistments started to fall in 2021, but were shored up by pulling forward future enlistees. That pool is gone. The vaxx debacle caused additional attrition, either through actual discharges or accelerated retirements. On top of that, there's the lousy culture and the fact that as the shortfall drags on, the few that remain have to work harder, do more deployments, etc. The funny thing is that the Pentagon refuses to disband any units, because that means less general officer billets, so we have hollow formations. I always thought it was cute, in that imperfect way some women's features, the ones they hate the most, are the ones we find most endearing. But yeah, after the fact, after she chewed me up and spit me out..... Posted by: BurtTC at August 26, 2023 11:16 AM (AMJwl) 447
More words of wisdom from John Kerry.

If Trump starts wearing his pants under his butt, and gets some face tats, I am definitely voting for him.
Posted by: runner at August 26, 2023 11:13 AM (V13WU) --- My only comment on this is that it is so transparently stupid, of course the Dems are doing it. Has charging a popular political figure - or imprisoning them - ever actually worked? Hmmm, MLK Jr., Gandhi, Mandela, heck even old Adolf all did some time and if anything, it made the more popular. if he gets convicted, Melania will maintain vigil outside the prison with 100 Ladies in White. There is no way this ends well for them. Posted by: Ace-Endorsed Author A.H. Lloyd at August 26, 2023 11:20 AM (llXky) 453
The judge assigned to former President Trump’s multiple indictments stemming from his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election is the scion of a family of revolutionary Marxists in her native Jamaica.
Judge Tanya S. Chutkan, an Obama appointee, is the granddaughter of Frank Hill, a Jamaican communist revolutionary, who along with his brother Ken were briefly jailed by the island’s British governor during World War II over suspicions of “subversive activities.” Posted by: DB - E Pluribus Funk at August 26, 2023 11:22 AM (geLO8) 454
Random thought. There is an opera, Nixon In China, about (try to follow me here) Nixon going to China. It's well thought of although I didn't care for it, too modern. But what the world needs now is a comic opera, Biden In Hawaii.

Meant to update sooner on my brother Mike's stomach cancer, which continues to progress unfortunately. Another PET scan is scheduled for mid September. One doctor is hopeful while another doubts he'll make it to 70.
Whichever the case, he's determined to enjoy his remaining years with travel, fine clothes, and cool watches. He's recently bonded with Little, whose a bit of a clothes horse himself. One additional prayer that I'll request is that God repair the relationship between Mike and his daughter in law which soured for reasons known only to her. I've walked that particularly dark valley in my own marriage and it did not end well. Posted by: Joe Kidd at August 26, 2023 11:27 AM (RMN7W) 458
It never fails to amaze me, the state of things as they exist. The visible people "in charge" are obviously incapable of being in charge of anything. The ideas and policies that are attempted to be imposed are wildly impossible and seemingly designed to be unappealing to the average person. Foreign policy appears to revolve around trying to start wars with countries that have nuclear weapons, which is a non winnable exercise. The biggest corporations support policies that lose them money and promote based on support for delusional mental health conditions that revolve around failed reproductive strategies. Pastors keep pushing for blatantly anti-Biblical ideas. Prosperity gospel is the best idea ever for driving people away from church. What happens in a bit when you tell people God will make them rich and they aren't rich in a few months or years depending on their patience level? "Well, that didn't work".

He would probably be annoyed if he knew I was asking for prayer for him, because I think he's an Agnostic or at any rate, won't believe in God unless God proves himself to him, but the poster originally known as Scogg Dog mentioned yesterday he is about to be involved in a divorce.

{ Farmer Bob }
Still pray daily for wife- don’t know or understand who she is anymore. I've seen this type of callous selfishness before, up close and personal. If it came on suddenly and unexpectedly, then I strongly suspect the use of some of the heavier illegal drugs. Sometimes a person will have their conscience seared to a crisp, and then all they care about is their next fix and having a good time. Family no longer means anything to them. It's ... sad to watch, and sadder to be on the receiving end of. Hang in there Farmer Bob. Trust in God, and walk in his ways, keep thanking and praising him for the blessings you do have (those two girls are a great example) and He will bless you in ways you can't imagine, and will help you to bear up and endure. Keep studying in flight school, take to the skies, get paid well, and keep supporting those two girls - they will bring you joy. I'm making $90 an hour working from home. I never imagined that it was honest to goodness yet my closest companion is earning 16,000 US dollars a month by working on the connection, that was truly astounding for me, she prescribed for me to attempt it simply.
