The craze has been driven by TikTok users who insist that agreeing with the feminist themes in the Barbie film, 'should be standard in a relationship'.
One wrote: 'Take your boyfriends to the Barbie movie and if they hate it, dump them.' Another said in a video liked 800 thousand times: 'I think taking your boyfriend to Barbie should be your relationship test to decide if he's a good long-term partner.'
Another said: 'I think it's perfectly reasonable for women to break up with their boyfriends for their [negative] reaction to the Barbie movie.'
One woman even cancelled her first date after the man refused to wear pink to see the film.

She's picking out his wardrobe on a first date?

She told TikTok they had to make an event out of the cinema trip by wearing pink outfits and posing for photos together.
He refused to cooperate and she called off the date.
Her confession on social media was met with adoration from other women who said: 'If his masculinity is so fragile he can't wear pink when it's important to you for a single night, you need a new man because that's a boy.'
Others admit the film has determined how they see their partners.
One woman said on TikTok: 'I feel like I'm the a******* for letting the Barbie movie affect my relationship and the way I see my boyfriend. Friends have been telling me I shouldn't let it alter the way I view my boyfriend because our relationship is really healthy.'

Andre from Midnight's Edge did announce that this was a "break-up movie" designed to break couples up when he first saw it.

Exactly. Aside from committing to each other for life, I encourage couples to have some sort of joint hobby, especially when the nest is empty. Mrs. EM and I took up ballroom dancing, and it has been great fun to do together. Other friends did camping, motorcycling, etc., and it helps them have fun and stay together.

My advice is to ignore the "you've changed!" argument - it means that any number of circumstances that occurred back when you were young have changed, not that you have. I hear this a lot in troubled marriages when my wife relates her talks to other wives...its just an excuse.

They include "He drinks too much!" which means he drinks about the same amount as always but handy brick, so use it - "He works too much!" means he works to provide for the means of her family but he's not retired handing out talking about her needs - "he's cold!" means he's on calls for business all day, tired at the end, and eats. talks a bit, then falls asleep to work another day. It's also apparently blunted because Ken seems to come off as the best part of the movie. In a film where the idea seems to be, "women should have women only spaces, and we should be treated as more than just our looks on the outside, and men should not be allowed in," Ken coming out as the best part of the film creates...discordance that seems to be completely unintentional.

I think people are just having a good time with it without really delving into subtext. Most audiences don't deal in subtext.

That Rorschach is supposed to be a critique of Batman (partial, there are other critiques of Batman, mostly around The Night Owl), but audiences cling to him when he's supposed to be the outright fascist version of Batman apparently really got into Alan Moore's craw.

It was nice to have a villain with a understandable motivation, the Starlord/Gammora relationship was better done and the fact that Rocket was separated from the group for most of the film reduced the amount of bickering that the screenwriters think is funny instead of annoying.

Rorschach was based on Steve Ditko's character, The Question, which was originally an Objectivist type character. Alan Moore, for reasons known only to him, rather disliked Ditko though I don't believe the two ever met. That said Moore is an excellent writer and still made a compelling character that inadvertently became the fan favorite.

We other night we went to see "Oppenheimer" -SOLD OUT!

Then we tried "Sound of Freedom" - SOLD OUT!

Then we tried "Talk to Me" - BINGO!

TTM is an excellent horror movie. One of the best that I've seen in a long time.

Try not to read too much about it.

Basically, the movie is one of those "teens mess with the supernatural (in this case a dead man's hand that allows you to temporarily see and be possessed by the dead if you follow the rules{/i]'',

and rules aren't followed so hijinks ensue.

Good acting, great directing, very creepy.
