Otters doing otterish things.

Nurse Ratched says that sea otters are nice and river otters are mean, but this sea otter is a career criminal who continues to evade justice.

A California sea otter with a reputation for harassing surfers has successfully evaded multiple attempts to capture her -- including authorities trying to lure her using a surfboard, her favorite object to snatch from humans.
"There were multiple attempts to use her unnatural behavior to our benefit," the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Jessica Fujii told USA TODAY.
A crew of wildlife experts have tried to capture the animal, dubbed Otter 841, multiple times, using different nets, she said.
Wildlife experts searching for Otter 841 know where she is, they just haven't been able to capture the "nimble and fast" animal yet, said Kevin Connor, an aquarium spokesperson. The otter is wearing a radio transmitter tag, he said.

115 We have two mallards, Dixie and Duke who nest in our yard, and bring their broods to meet us and eat the Purina Duck chow that we provide.

So far they have more survive than they lose, but some broods have been a total loss.

Either way, she is very comfortable with us, and makes sure the babies are introduced to us.

Third year running, so far, and now her one daughter from last year is bringing her babies around as well.

I got subpoened as a Material Witness a few months back, because I picked up empty 9mm casings after a random shooting. The Po here are really working hard on breaking the Snitch Culture, so they charged the shooter/fool with a separate felony (reckless endangerment) for every one of the 7 empties I picked up.
He elected to represent himself, Pro Se, and somehow, they released him on bond prior to his court date, so of course he vanished. His multiple felony charges are outstanding.

Nobody cared about terminology distinguishing detachable box magazines and clips, until the Assault Weapons Ban. Prior to that it was a non-issue. Chinn in his foundational works used 'clip' and 'magazine' interchangeably.

There are vital technical differences, but prior to political distinctions, the words were used more or less interchangeably.
