House Committee: Joe Biden Met with Chinese-Communist-Party-Controlled "Energy Company" That Hunter Was Being Bribed By

He had nothing to do with his son's "business."

Except meeting with the Chinese-intelligence-controlled front companies that were bribing his son, and having 10% of that money held for him.

Joe Biden allegedly attended a meeting shortly after his vice presidency with a Chinese energy company that was doing business with Hunter Biden, the House Oversight Committee said Tuesday.

House Oversight released a timeline of events detailing the Biden family's alleged influence peddling with foreign business interests. Joe Biden allegedly met in May 2017 with officials from CEFC China Energy, a Chinese energy firm linked to the Chinese Communist Party, according to a Biden family associate, the House Oversight timeline says.

An alleged email between Biden business associates on May 13 described "10 held by H for the big guy?" referring to Hunter Biden allegedly holding a 10% ownership stake for Joe Biden, House Oversight disclosed. Joe Biden's alleged "big guy" nickname is shown in emails from the Hunter Biden laptop archive with other business associates of the younger Biden.

Biden family business associate Tony Bobulinski said leading up to the 2020 presidential election that he spoke with FBI agents about Joe Biden potentially earning 10% of the money from the CEFC venture, the New York Post reported. Republican Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley referenced Bobulinski's FBI interview in October 2022 when he requested more records from the FBI about the Biden family's alleged arrangement with CEFC.

Hunter Biden's business associate Rob Walker allegedly wired an unspecified Biden family member $15,000 from CEFC and wired JBBSR Inc., an LLC belonging to James Biden, the brother of President Biden, House Oversight found.

IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley testified to the House Ways & Means Committee about a threatening text Hunter Biden allegedly sent to a CEFC official with Joe Biden sitting in the same room.

"I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight," Hunter Biden said.

"I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father."

In very related news: The FBI instructed Hunter Biden to refuse to answer questions from the House Committee investigating him.

The FBI warned a supervisory agent who investigated Hunter Biden that he was expected to "decline to respond" to House Oversight Committee questions about the "ongoing" case involving the first son, a bombshell letter obtained by The Post shows.

FBI general counsel Jason Jones sent the letter Sunday afternoon, just hours before the agent was set to testify -- even though a source tells The Post that the FBI knew of a scheduled Monday deposition for several days.

"[T]he Department expects that you will decline to respond to questions seeking non-public information likely covered by one or more components of executive privilege or other significant confidentiality interests, in particular information about deliberations or ongoing investigative activity in law enforcement matters," Jones wrote.

"You should instead refer such questions to the FBI's Office of Congressional Affairs," the FBI lawyer went on.

"Consistent with longstanding practice, this will afford the Department the full opportunity to consider particular questions and possible accommodations that may fulfill the Committee's legitimate need for information while protecting Executive Branch confidentiality interests."

Hunter BidenThe FBI confirmed details of the probe that were previously shared by 2 IRS agents, including Hunter's legal team tipped off about an approach to interview him in December 2020 about his failure to pay millions in taxes on foreign income.AP

The FBI agent proceeded to confirm key details of the probe that were previously shared by two IRS agents -- including that Hunter's legal team was tipped off about a planned approach to interview him in December 2020 about his failure to pay millions in taxes on foreign income, spoiling the opportunity.

Jones referred to the Hunter Biden case as "ongoing" in his letter, using similar wording to Delaware US Attorney David Weiss -- which congressional Republicans fear is intended to hinder their demands for records and testimony.

That is a key and often-abused cover-up tactic: claim that the investigation you are deliberately tanking is "ongoing," so that no one is allowed to ask questions about it -- questions that would expose your wrongdoing in deliberately flubbing the case.

This follows a fresh revelation that the FBI tipped the Biden family that investigators were planning a surprise interview with Hunter Biden in 2020.

A former FBI supervisory special agent assigned to the Hunter Biden criminal investigation has confirmed several key aspects of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblower testimony from June, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer announced Monday.

The former agent said that the Biden family and the Secret Service were tipped off about an interview the FBI planned to have with Hunter Biden in December 2020, according to a transcribed interview conducted by the House Oversight Committee on Monday. Biden entered a plea deal in late June after he was charged with two misdemeanor tax offenses and illegal possession of a firearm.

Oversight Committee
@GOPoversight

Today, our committee staff conducted a transcribed interview with a former FBI supervisory special agent assigned to the FBI's Wilmington office and the Biden criminal investigation.

The agent CONFIRMED key portions of the IRS whistleblowers' testimony, including that both Secret Service headquarters and the Biden transition team were TIPPED OFF about the planned Hunter Biden interview.

In fact, on the day of the Hunter Biden interview, FEDERAL AGENTS WERE TOLD TO STAND BY AND TO NOT APPROACH HUNTER BIDEN-- they had to wait for his call. As a result of the change in plans, IRS and FBI criminal investigators never got to interview Hunter Biden as part of the investigation.

The former FBI supervisory special agent told committee investigators he had never been told to wait outside to be contacted by the subject of an investigation.

The agent's testimony is sickening and reveals the lengths to which the DOJ is willing to go to cover up for the Bidens. The Oversight Committee, along with the @JudiciaryGOP and @WaysandMeansGOP, will continue to seek the answers, transparency, and accountability that the American people demand and deserve.

Nobody is in a better position to know who the important traitors were than a victorious enemy.

That story was published in the NY Times, broadcast by all 3 major networks on broadcast news, and circulated by the AP. As an outraged Vietnam Vet, I even kept a copy of the Houston Chronicle with that story in it. That award is what the "Swift Boat" movement against Kerry's presidential run in 2004 was actually about.

Not sure what comes next, but "restoring trust in our democratic institutions" feels a long ways off.

And this is the conflict in the Republican party - the institutionalists who seek a return to the status quo, and the rest of us that understand only a counter-revolution will do at this point.

Instead, I've worked since I was a teenager, and for what? A house that can be taken away from me whenever a developer decides, a social security check that will barely cover a week's groceries, if it even exists by then, a country whose vast majority of inhabitants want me silenced or dead and a government that steals my paycheck and charges me for the privilege.

254 Yes and no. Even dictators often took 'corrupt' officials out by official execution, disgrace, etc. as a way to throw a scapegoat or two out for an angry population. It was also a means of taking out potential successors.

Essentially we have a degenerative junta of different factions running the government and they don't always agree on how things should run. The GOP in the Senate particularly is there to give these factions cover because they are doing the same thing too only on a smaller scale. Genteel corruption if you will.

322 > Dicaprio was originally billed as kind of a pretty boy movie star

From what I've read, DiCaprio recognizes that the movers and shakers cleared the way for River Phoenix to be a huge star. When Phoenix died, they scrambled to find someone to put in his place for the plans they had made. DiCaprio was tapped for the job.

DiCaprio has certainly proven himself since then, but the big opportunities that transitioned DiCaprio from goofy former child star to the big big time were meant for Phoenix.

They are incredibly wealthy and yet, they couldn't find someone to look after Joe? My church organist lives with her daughter who has a well paying job which requires her to do world travel periodically. The daughter and the son (who also works) pay for competent , caring caregivers to stay with their mother when they can't be there. And yet, Joe Biden is allowed to make an a$$ on himself in front of world leaders and sell out the country because they want even more money and don't care what he looks like in front of others. I guess the difference is that my church organist is a fine person- as was her husband- who loved their children-and Biden has never been a fine person and I expect his children were mianly means to serving his own ends.

BTW, Paul Ryan is now associated with Solamere Capital which is the one that the Romneys started. You can have fun if you want to go back long enough by investigating it and its investments. Their first big investment in 2008 dealt with starting a new fund using some of Stanford Financial's principals which was a multi billion dollar Ponzi scheme that blew up.

344 Well, a lot of this is designed to run out the clock - the statute of limitations.

The limitations are there because once a crime is old enough, it becomes increasing hard to prove guilt or innocence. memories fade, records are lost. So it prevents a lot of miscarriages of justice.

The government has realized an easy way to tank an investigation - just keep investigating till the time runs out. Oopsie. Most of the crimes Hunter Biden is accused of have fairly short windows 5-10 years. Most of this happened in 2015-2017. So, all they have to do is run around in circles for a few years, then say "well, we did our best."

The protections at the federal level are legislatively mandated, not due to union negotiations. It's possible there's some sort of loophole a lawyer could find like that, should be able to cite which particular portion of the law might allow for it though.

The government eventually pulled his clearance over this, which honestly seemed reasonable. Replace "communist" with NAZI and move this to the early 40s and no one would disagree.

I wrote a paper on this in HS and had to fight the grade the teacher gave me. Her argument? Yes "the facts" but it made Oppenheimer feel bad!

Nolan though the nukes would bring the male audience and the dongs the female audience?

445 424 IIRC from seeing Fat Man and Little Boy... from 20 some odd years ago. Oppenheimer (played by Dwight Schultz, pretty well too) had scenes with his wife. There was a thread there where they were alluding to them being possible communists/socialists, etc.

Possible? Oppenheimer was a card-carrying member of the CPUSA when he was in Berkeley.

He was a total commie and possibly a traitor. I also think his contributions to the Manhattan Project have been overstated.

I’m part of a social group of remote workers. One lady is a Federal civil servant. She said she applied to almost a thousand government positions while job hunting. She said if you are not a veteran or already a government worker or were a government worker you chances are extremely thin.

Before her government job she was at Planned Parenthood and she has connections enough to eventually get her something.

Saw it 6 times in the theater with my son, when it opened, 5 of those 6 times with my dad. I've been a Titanic geek since I first read A Night To Remember in 1962 and have read every single piece of material on her, including the investigation testimony during the hearings on both sides of the Atlantic. I also have seen and own every Titanic movie of documentary produced over the years, including every format of Titanic, including the 3D Blu-ray version.

I can't understand the animosity toward that movie. Yes, there is an embedded love story. So what. When we saw it all those times in the theater, I didn't witness one person getting up from their seats during the entire run time. And, no, the audience was not filled with "tweens". Many middle aged and older people. The love story helped filled the seats. The special effects were incredible, and the sets were faithful recreations of the original interiors of the ship. No car chases, so it's not appealing.

455 I must be one of the few people who hasn't seen the Leonard DiCaprio/whatever her name (Kate Hudson?) version of "Titanic", probably because Leonard DiCaprio doesn't appeal to me, and I so much enjoyed "A Night to Remember" that I didn't want to see another Titanic film. I think some the animosity comes from the fact that they (men) found the female character incredibly annoying although they liked her boobies.

Posted by: FenelonSpoke at July 19, 2023 01:41 PM (Keyt1)

456 What's ridiculous is that the Bidens were alleged to have been involved in improprieties through, for example, the Paradigm Companies, LLC, early (for example once again, 2009) in O&J's 1st administration.

It couldn't just be them, all by themselves; it's high, it's wide & all the while we're distracted & set against one another.
