Time and again cases like this have been declared anomalies, and claims that the government is overcounting COVID deaths have been "debunked." But as with their admission that the Hunter Biden laptop was real years after it was proven to be so, the New York Times buried their admission that the numbers were cooked deep in the bowels of a story. Years after the revelation would have had a political impact, and only as an aside, the Times confirmed what those of us who have been slandered as conspiracy theorists were saying.Bear in mind that at various points, what, about one fifth of the country had Covid? So a huge number of deaths caused by completely unremarkable causes were attributed to covid. And this isn't new news. As a person responding to this story on Twitter noted, it had previously been reported, back in 2021, that 40 to 45 percent of people dying in hospitals "of covid" actually died of completely different causes. They merely had covid, in addition to being, for example, shot in the head in a murder.A very large fraction of the people classified as dying from COVID died WITH COVID, not from it. If you factor that in and the numbers change dramatically, and the US would not look so bad in international rankings. This doesn't amount to an admission they lied but rather is simply covering their own asses after it no longer matters. They got what they wanted: the panic, the election results they liked, the smearing of Republicans, the wholesale changes in how social media companies regulate speech, and the suppression of dissent from their power grab.
Covid's toll, to be clear, has not fallen to zero. The C.D.C.'s main Covid webpage estimates that about 80 people per day have been dying from the virus in recent weeks, which is equal to about 1 percent of overall daily deaths. The official number is probably an exaggeration because it includes some people who had virus when they died even though it was not the underlying cause of death. Other C.D.C. data suggests that almost one-third of official recent Covid deaths have fallen into this category. A study published in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases came to similar conclusions.

It was without a doubt a gross exaggeration. And the "almost one-third" is bullshit gaslighting too. Try again. Its more like "over two-thirds" where C19 was not the underlying cause of death.
Remember all of the stats where nearly all deaths there were at least three to five comorbidities? Age was a huge one such where the average age of "covid death" was two years greater than the average life expectancy.
This has been nothing but lies, deceit, fraud, murder and willful destruction of formerly trusted institutions.

My neighbor died during the covid thing. But he was in awfully bad shape at the time. I've never been the type to 'rat out' someone to get their drivers license taken away, but he was delusional. So I simply advised the son he shouldn't be driving anymore. Washed my hands.
So his son said he died of an embolism, but he had covid at the time, so I suspect that's what the death certificate says.

I was monitoring this in 2021. I do not recall the details, but prior to C19, the CDC had categories for flu, and also respiratory and flu like illness. Then they didn't.
I wanted to break out of C19 was causing more deaths, or if it was just killing people who would have died of the other diseases anyway. CDC hid the data so that could not be done.

and there were reports that some of the tests used were so sensitive (the pcr method) that they were finding fragments of the virus that was no longer really there, and those pcr tests were sometimes returning false positives for covid when it was really the flu virus.

Seeing how a group of skeptic nurses opened a package of tests and sent them to the lab (a scientific mind set) and they came back positive, it has played into some conspiracists claims that the tests were actually a medium of spreading the virus, and that's why they had to jam them way up your nose to incubate.

Here is the problem -- Japan has none of these issues and still has excess deaths after C19. It also never overcounted C19 deaths.
Never had shutdowns, does not have drug or obesity problems, and going to Dr. was never a problem during the "pandemic." Yet more people are still dying in Japan than expected.
(It also does not have immigration which can skew population numbers.)
It is clear evidence that the vaccine killed a lot of people.

Seeing how a group of skeptic nurses opened a package of tests and sent them to the lab (a scientific mind set) and they came back positive, it has played into some conspiracists claims that the tests were actually a medium of spreading the virus, and that's why they had to jam them way up your nose to incubate.

As I said earlier, this is a complicated subject.
A lot of people died who "technically" didn't die from the covid virus who would be alive today if they had never developed and released the virus. For instance, people who died from medical malpractice, i.e. the withholding of medicines that worked (about ten by my count) and the use of medicines that didn't (primarily Remdesivir). Or the people who died of secondary infections that would have been treated if they'd had the bog standard influenza in 2019.
The evil idiots suddenly want to change the rules of accounting because they think they can use that to avoid a horrible reckoning.

A friend of my Mom was required by the State of California to get the "vaccine" for his job. He felt really ill afterwards for several months but eventually got better. Then he went in for the booster. Afterwards he felt really sick for two weeks and then collapsed in his office falling really hard on the floor.
It turns out the fall saved his life because it jarred enough of the massive blood clots in his lungs loose so that he could breathe a little. He had to have many feet of clots removed at the hospital
My mother and I never took the shots and never will.
I am also glad your wife is OK now.

Yep. Never had to perform CPR on a real person but have given the Heimlich to three people. One being my mother. First two the meat went shooting out of their mouth. The third nothing happened after three progressively harder jerks. Finally my friend had his head down between his legs and started coming back to life. A friend of mine was hospitalized a month ago due to clots. The local hospital was unable to offer the level of care he needed so, helo'd to Knoxville. Rxs they gave him to dissolve the clots did not do the trick so they opened him up. The pictures of the clots they removed were ghastly. 5-6 of them 6" long and maybe 10 more somewhat smaller. He's lucky to be alive.
I did not ask if he had the jabs.

The problem is that specific money spigot has been turned off and there are no more incentives for hospitals to code people for covid deaths.
However I did read somewhere today or yesterday that claimed there were still 800 people a day dying from covid in the US, so they are hedging their bets.
In Texas even with the fake inflated numbers we had a *covid* death rate of 0.003 which amounts to statistical noise.

ER doctors are the worst. They love to put, "cardiopulmonary arrest," as cause of death on death certificates. For the uninitiated, "cardiopulmonary arrest," means their heart stopped and they stopped breathing. So they essentially are saying the cause of death was... dying. In fact, one big reason why "heart disease" is the #1 killer is because it's a default diagnosis for most people who don't get an autopsy.
