Biden's Temper Tantrums and Angry Outbursts Are Symptoms of Alzheimer's and Dementia

Andrew Stiles writes a great explainer to Axios' report that Biden routinely explodes in f-bomb-laden tirades against aides. And he also parodies Axios' Baby's First Blog style of writing, with topic-markers like "What Happened" and "What It Means" and "Why It Matters."

What it means: Increased anger and agitation are common symptoms of dementia and Alzheimer's disease, according to the National Institute on Aging (NIA).

* "People with Alzheimer's disease may become agitated or aggressive as the disease gets worse," the NIA advises Alzheimer's caregivers on its website. "Try not to ignore the problem. Doing nothing can make things worse."

Why it matters: Biden, 80, is running for a second four-year term as president of the United States. Concerned citizens have repeatedly expressed alarm over the state of his physical and mental health.

...

Crucial context: Axios cofounder Jim VandeHei is also prone to fits of rage.

LOL. L-O-f'n'-L.

91 Sundowning is a specific symptom of dementia that describes problem behaviors that tend to manifest later in the afternoon or evening. 92 I had a lot of experience with two family members who had dementia several years back before they passed away. 99 times out of 100, dementia generally takes what you have as a personality and turns it up to 11.

If you were generally a nice person in your life, the vast majority of your waking hours pass as a fairly cheerful and sweet elderly person who tends to forget a lot of things minute to minute.

If you're an enormous asshole your entire life, well...you basically end up like my stepfather. Secured to a bed in a nursing home with an ankle monitor because you tried to escape the facility half a dozen times and cursing and screaming at everyone who comes in the room except when you're trying to pretend to be nice to try to get them to take your restraints off. And that was even after the Parkinson's intensified to the point he couldn't walk more than three feet without help.

I'd like to say I had sympathy for him at the end but that train left the station sometime in 1978.

102 From the Axios article:

Biden's temper comes in the form of angry interrogations rather than erratic tantrums.

He'll grill aides on topics until it's clear they don't know the answer to a question - a routine that some see as meticulous and others call "stump the chump" or "stump the dummy."

Sounds like Biden gets off on belittling people around him. It doesn't matter how knowledgeable a person is on a topic, if you ask them enough pointed questions, eventually you'll find something they don't know. This doesn't demonstrate the knowledge of the questioner.

This exercise can be useful if you really need to find the weaknesses of a plan, but obviously the Biden staffers know that's not the goal. They call it "stump the chump." Obviously they know the goal of the exercise is to embarrass the person being grilled.

Part of me is glad Biden staffers get abused. They're the type of people who would work for Biden. Another, much bigger part of me is angry a venal little shit like Biden is POTUS.

That is a good question, is there a correlation between how people act when drunk and how they act when dementia sets in? Seems likely.

Somewhat related: I read an article in which cops trained with identifying intoxication from marijuana by having someone get massively stoned and testing them out, seeing how they act and react to things.

That was one of the concerns brought up with the laws that legalized weed in various states: cops don't know how to ID someone stoned, they didn't have standardized tests and kits to test with (they are getting there now).

The D's chances of winning has very little to do with the strength or weakness of the candidate. If Biden dies or is replaced, that upsets a lot of backroom deals that might need renegotiating and gives the R candidate a chance. Otherwise it means waiting until at least 2028.

I think it's just a feeling of entitlement and power. Why shouldn't Joe swear at staff? They're staff, not people. Why should Joe wear swim trunks to swim when he's got female security staff assigned to him? They're not people. Etc.

What truly amazes me is that the staff sticks around for the abuse. I mean, security is assigned and can't quit in a huff, but if my boss yelled and swore at me, even if I'd screwed up big? I wouldn't be back to work the next day. It's upsetting enough to get at odds with your employer when everyone is calm. I've had TI's screaming an inch from my nose but never EVER once I was active duty. It's BAD leadership. And the first, not the second, the FIRST time an employer was verbally abusive to me I'd be gone.

Obama was not weird enough to be Elagabalus.

If the guy from the bud light commercial becomes president, that would be Elagabalus.

Obama was more... shades of Galba, but not as competent. Hmmm, hard to pin him down to a specific one. It is hard to find 'opinionated, vain, naifish, but personally harmless.' They would not last too long.

Caracalla or Elagabalus share some of those traits, but Obama was not as personally brutal as the former* and not nearly as openly weird as the latter.

*Caracalla had his brother assassinated at a meeting being brokered by their mother to try to get them to work through their differences.

Joe's brain disintegration has lowered his anger trip-wire to an eighth-inch above floor-level. This may be a bigger reason than senility in forcing the handlers to keep Joe away from the press, except for a minute or two when he walks to/from a plane or copter. It is likely also the prime reason he takes only two questions from pre-selected reporters when diplomatic protocol forces him to do a press conference with foreign leaders.

Will the handlers ever again let Joe do a televised town hall? Only if the audience is all die-hard Democrats tossing marshmallow questions.

Look at the 2022 map, Republicans won the popular vote by a decent margin. Historically that would've meant sold wins in both House and Senate.

The Presidency and Senate are normally biased in favor of Republicans because of Republicans living in low population states, now we're in a situation where the opposite is true, and that's not because Republicans have gathered in large states.

The Republican party is now disfavored in the Senate and the Presidency and favored in the House because districts have the effect of silo'ing fraud.

Calif is a prime example. Most Hispanics I know here are Culturally and financially very Conservative, BUT, have been convinced they need to vote Race... because the Repubs don't understand they need to STOP THAT SHIT and explain voters need to vote for THEIR individual interest.

It could be a hell of a story, with Isabel first allowing emergency powers to keep Evita and her occult supporters from killing her, and then with the coup and military junta supposedly acting on Evita's behalf, but keeping her from killing Isabel to keep her from full power.

327 We understandably bag on Kamala for how dumb she is, but her dumbness distracts from how homely she is. If you asked someone who had never seen a human being to draw one based on a child's explanation of humans, that drawing might look something like Kamala. Tall E.T. with a speech disorder. Bitch resembles Pilot from Farscape. So ugly and unlikeable that her own dog blames her for smelly farts. And Kamala's so stupid, she'd claim credit for them too.

PA supposedly clawed back, but the PA government just broke the law anyway and got away with it. Why would PA allow a legal election again? 2022 showed. the left needed a pandemic with mass mail in voting and control of social media to bury crimes to win.

Comparing a once in a lifetime election process to every other year is dumb. Unless they are going to poison us again and the election isn't rigged they know things are not looking good. Why do you think there is an organized effort on the left right now to take down Joe? Because they are confident they can win no matter what?

Why did the Biden administration immediately file an appeal last night to desperately try and get court approval to violate the 1st Amendment? Because they don't care about owning social media anymore?

Something like paying them $20 a person to attend an hour-long sales pitch on why they should vote for the GOP up and down the ticket. And that's just for starters.

And make a similar effort in the black communities in states like PA, MI, WI, Virginia, NC, and even NJ.

Pry some of those states back into the GOP column and try to win some state rep and senate seats in the process.

473 I dunno. Maybe Kamala really is as dumb as she sounds. Maybe I've been wrong about her the past 20 years?

You were a commie pinko at one point. Parallax error explains much.

This is confusing. I sometimes think you two are the same guy.
Huh.

475 Being rude to subordinates seems to characterize many Democrat politicians: Biden, Hillarhoid, and who can forget El BJ, who used to talk to aides while he sat on the pot with an open door.

Who the hell would endure that kind of treatment?

477 Do y'all remember when, at the beginning of the Bidet catastrophe, that the media tried to make the 'incredibly plain' Emma Emhoff out to be the next it?
I was trying to be nice by calling that . . . . . .thing incredibly plain; she is uglier than shit in the bed.

Oh, yeah, Harris's stepdaughter. I'd mercifully forgotten.

481 If we're going to amend the Constitution, can we allow Nata Lee, the Russian Instagram star become president?

That big seahorse tattoo on her thigh convinced me that she is the one for this moment in time. And she'll even make an effort to read her position papers, too!

Funny, she doesn't look Russian. I suspect some Wehrmacht in her family tree.

484 Though, to be fair, if the Chinese invaded and overthrew most of the east coast, I wouldn't raise a hand against them.

Nah. They'd invade the South and mid west. More mobile homes to confiscate and send back to China for recycling.

485 60 Kamala is so desperate for a historical quote. She has trotted this unburdened quote out a few times. She really thinks it’s profound, for the ages, we just haven’t grasped the context of its profoundness. In actuality, we need to be unburdened of her.

487 NO. It's not the dementia. Joe Biden has ALWAYS been an asshole with anger issues.

The dementia just means that when Joe yells at them now, they don't have a f***ing clue what he's talking about.
