Breaking: Federal Judge Forbids the FBI, DOJ, DHS, etc. From Coordinating Censorship With Big Tech; Says Plaintiffs Have Made Overwhelming Case That Gov't Censored Conservatives

And he says the US government formed an Orwellian, dystopian "Ministry of Truth."

The case is still in early days, but this preliminary injunction is being issued before the actual trial -- the judge finds the evidence so overwhelming that he feels it is appropriate to issue this order now, to stop the government from further depriving people of their rights.

Senator Eric Schmitt
@SenEricSchmitt

NEW: In the case I filed when I was Missouri's Attorney General - Missouri v. Biden - the federal court just granted a preliminary injunction PREVENTING the federal government from colluding with social media companies to censor speech.

Happy 4th of July!

Eric Schmitt
@Eric_Schmitt

BREAKING: A Federal Judge in Missouri v. Biden just granted a preliminary injunction prohibiting the FBI, DOJ, DHS & other agencies from working with Big Tech to censor on social media

Big win for the First Amendment on this Independence Day

I'm proud to have led the fight.

injunction.jpg

The money quote:

It is quite telling that each example or category of suppressed speech was conservative in nature. This targeted suppression of conservative ideas is a perfect example of viewpoint discrimination of political speech. American citizens have the right to engage in free debate about the significant issues affecting the country.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, a period perhaps best characterized by widespread doubt and uncertainty, the United States Government seems to have assumed a role similar to an Orwellian "Ministry of Truth."

Eric Schmitt
@Eric_Schmitt

White House officials, CDC & others are stopped cold. We need to continue the fight to take down the Vast Censorship Enterprise.

Their view of "misinformation" isn't an excuse to censor. This is the most important free speech case in a generation.

Freedom is on the march

Via Hot Air, the Washington Post complains that this will hurt the efforts of the government to coordinate censorship with the media!

The injunction was a victory for the state attorneys general, who have accused the Biden administration of enabling a "sprawling federal 'Censorship Enterprise'" to encourage tech giants to remove politically unfavorable viewpoints and speakers, and for conservatives who've accused the government of suppressing their speech. In their filings, the attorneys general alleged the actions amount to "the most egregious violations of the First Amendment in the history of the United States of America."

The judge, Terry A. Doughty, has yet to make a final ruling in the case, but in the injunction, he wrote that the Republican attorneys general "have produced evidence of a massive effort by Defendants, from the White House to federal agencies, to suppress speech based on its content."

The ruling could have critical implications for tech companies, which regularly communicate with government officials, especially during elections and emergencies, such as the coronavirus pandemic.

Yes, assholes -- that's the point. What you're doing is illegal. It always was.

"Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution..." this federal statute caries a potential DEATH PENALTY for violation. When we win these cases, we need to point that law out to the judge and ask him to issue bench warrants for the arrest of the offenders.

We need to take the gloves off.

I don't know the laws for these sorts of things, but it seems some sunshine on who was in contact with whom might be nice.

There are all sorts of restrictions regarding "leaks" of protected (if not downright classified) information, and anyone with a government job who is releasing info they're not authorized to release, they could be (and perhaps should be) arrested, fired, lose their pensions, and be paraded to the public as the treasonous scoundrels they are.

Chevron is due to be revisited in the next SCOTUS session with Loper v. Raimondo.

It just entertains me the thought of this Missouri casing doing it instead.

Still, I wonder if the existence of this case will influence SCOTUS when it comes to the reasoning they decide on Loper. Granted, Kavanaugh will probably be the main stabber in the back on that one, siding with the logic of Sotomayor about how it's unAmerican for there to be any checks on the administrative state. Also, it's racist.

I've rethought my skeptical comment at #35.

I don't know how they would be caught except through whistle-blowers or Musk-like takeovers -- or compliance officers who want to keep their company out of trouble, and having worked with a few I'd say that's bigger than many may think.

On top of that, a few high-level prosecutions would scare Big Tech into compliance, or at least into... discretion. But federal prosecutors don't like it when they detect an attempt to hide shady behavior (from what I hear).

It's just weird how America could continue with that and, according to DU, will fall apart if someone says, "Don't get the shot form the disease that is now endemic and not a real issue anymore."

Also, weird that Zuck was pushing anti-vaxxer stuff just a couple of years before covid, huh? The height of the vaccine causes autism stuff was the late 2000s, early 2010s.

The most important anti-vaxxer was...Oprah. She hosted the guy with the fake autism paper (he later admitted it) on her show and gave him the normal glowing treatment.

And being anti-vax became a wine mom thing - people noticed it was mostly in affluent leftist areas. But then as you note overnight anyone with any questions about the clot shot was a pariah.

Also, at the time the government was telling the media to make these people, us, pariahs, they already knew the clot shot did NOT stop the spread.

My local CPS had a scandal a couple of years ago. They were losing more then the "normal" number of children under their authority.

Now they did fire the head of CPS. But...they basically let it go with that. How do children "disappear" from the system? Are they being "kidnapped" by parents that lost custody? Are they dying from neglect? Are they literally just disappearing? The head of CPS couldn't say and no one seemed to care.

I remembered there was some covid type issue in the year 2002. So I punch in 'Vaccine Covid' and there don't seem to be many hits from the USA. But the Australian Institute of Virology seems to indicate that for almost 20 years efforts have been made to create a vaccine with pathetic results year after year - 'enhanced disease'.

One of the things I’ve been thinking about is what puberty blockers do to children. This medication is called a “gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist” and it comes in the form of monthly injections or an implant. And because it simulates the activity of this hormone, it shuts down the activity of the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus is this almond-sized structure in your brain, it’s one of the most primal structures we have, and it controls all the other hormonal structures in your body—your sexual development, your emotions, your fight-or-flight response, everything. But it shouldn’t be described in such cold physiological terms because your hypothalamus is not just a hormone factory. It’s this system that allows you to stand in awe of the beauty of a sunset, or to hear the sounds of orchestral music and to stop whatever you’re doing and want to listen. . . To shut down that system is to shut down what makes us human. https://tinyurl.com/bdf45suv

I recall someone doing some undercover work, it might have been someone connected with O'keefe, but I don't think so... they got some big shot pediatrician to admit the reason they give first year vaccines is to train parents to bring their kids in for vaccines. Yes. A lot of the parents labeled "anti-vaxxers" were simply questioning why so many vaccines (it's doubled since my kid was getting them), why given so early and in groups (i.e. why 3-4 in a single visit when the kid is 6 mos old or whatever it is nowadays). We should question, especially when it is bureaucrats deciding which ones are required and likely influencing how they are administered (in clusters to reduce doctor visits), etc..It was never my issue, but the people questioning the current childhood vaccine schedule, and the government exemptions when their kids are harmed by one of the ones they *require* kids to get, never struck me as crazy or unreasonable.

Should they have developed an actual vaccine with all of the double-blind testing for safety and efficacy, then maybe I might've rolled up my sleeve.

But then again, maybe not.

I got loaded up with all of the dot-mil vaccines back in 1976, in USAF Basic Training. And other than my having gills and three eyes, they've not affected me at all.

Seriously though, the .gov DOES us the military as one hell of a Guinea Pig Pool, don't they. I forget the particular Desert Storm vaxx they injected, but that one too, made a helluva lotta soldiers, sailors airmen and marines some very sick puppies. And I don't mean like ONT Horde kinda sick, IYKWIM.

Well, if they have actual legal businesses, then they're not black anymore. So fair game.

Go back to The Wire. The rift between Avon Barksdale and Stringer Bell wasn't as much about the betrayals (or String putting out the hit on D'Angelo) as it was Avon's disdain for String's attempts to bring the Barksdale Organization fully into the legitimate world. "The Street is The Street, and The Game is The Game"

I'm convinced that a big part of why Black America is so screwed up is because of white Donk commie cocksuckers nudging Black culture into struggles over authenticity. Hence, the stain of "being white" as the ultimate insult.
