Wuhan Researcher: Covid-19 Was Deliberately Designed as a Bioweapon, and I Think My Fellow Lab Workers Were Sent to the 2019 Military Games to Spread It Among the International Visitors In Attendance

That last part is speculative and perhaps goes too far. I'm not saying it's not true -- thought it seems doubttful to me. But I am saying the public can only be roused from a Slumber of Lies gently, one "wake up" at a time.

Is it true? How can we know? Biden's rogue state continues to hide the evidence which Congress voted overwhelmingly to declassify and release.

Researcher Chao Shao said during an interview with reporter and activist Jennifer Zeng this week that his fellow lab researchers were given different strains of coronaviruses and asked to determine which is most effective for spreading across various species.
Shao further claimed that the whereabouts of several of his colleagues could not be determined during the 2019 Military World Games in Wuhan and that some of them were sent to hotels where international athletes were living to "check the health or hygiene conditions."
Shao said he thinks his colleagues were sent to the hotels to spread the coronavirus, the Jerusalem Post reported...
The claims come after Republicans slammed the Biden administration for releasing a report on the origins of COVID they said "obscures more than it illuminates."
The report from the director of national intelligence published last week, which was several days past its required deadline, was intended to lay out the administration's intelligence on the Wuhan Institute of Virology and its potential connections to the pandemic's origin.
"This is not sufficient. ... We want the intelligence released, not their opinion about the intelligence," Rep. Mike Turner (R., Ohio) said. "We passed a law saying, 'Declassify it.' It's the law of the land. Release this so the American public can see it."

Because it isn't dangerous enough. It's nowhere close. So that means they depend on the opponent countries to hurt themselves (they did) *and* hurt themselves less than China hurt itself (they didn't). It was, at best for China, a tie game and more likely it is a net loss.

If they were going to try something like that, this particular virus makes very very little sense. I think Elric has it, based on what I can suss out. They made it in the lab - as a bioweapon effort or adjacent to a bioweapon effort with shared research - and then they fucked up and it got out, and then China hoped for global spread in a "if I'm going down then you're all coming with me" play.

Which is why I think, "their little project got out because they're incompetent and all their stuff sucks and is broken" is a lot more likely than, "we deliberately spread it to foreigners to accomplish the outbreak."

Now, did they try to spread it foreigners - at the military event or otherwise - *after* it had already escaped and they knew it had escaped in the hopes of leveling the playing field and then only declared the outbreak after it had some time to incubate and repatriate to the persons' home countries? That's possible and even likely.

Agreed. It was most likely negligence and poor safety protocols that caused the virus to be released. At that point, the Chinese government made the conscious decision to let it spread around the world to cause as much havoc as possible, thus, hopefully, strengthening China's position on the world stage somehow, or at least weakening chief competitors like Europe and the United States.

There are so many far nastier bugs out there that wouldn't necessarily lead back to China. What about something like hemorrhagic fever for example? Multiple system failure, damages the cardio vascular system, overall reduction of the body's function, and often includes hemorrhaging.

There's no current vaccine.

If I were an evil nation state like China or Biden's US, Covid would be low on my list of killer bugs to unleash.

China has a vaccine, and it is an actual vaccine. The FNM tells me it doesn't work.

Of course the FNM also tells me the number of COVID deaths published by both China and the US are correct which means China had few COVID deaths and US many more.

If the FNM believed there own numbers they'd demand the Chinese jab be introduced in the US.

Anyway, back the original point, I suspect a major part of all this is that COVID is no danger to the young and healthy. China didn't give a crap if it killed a bunch of older people not part of the inner party, and they don't have as many fat people as the US and Europe anyway.

It varies by setting, but in my experience with my own family, "meshuganah" and "mishigas" are usually more light-hearted than this context would warrant. Others use it different. I am not sure what the more severe versions would be. These kind of people are worthy of the much worse "schmuck" pejorative, though.

The Germans during WWII often made small land mines that would blow your foot off but otherwise not kill you, for just that reason.
