The New York Times Confirms That David Weiss Said He Was Being Blocked From Pursuing Charges Against Hunter Biden By the DOJ; CBS Actually Reports on BagmanGate

The NYT's report is critical because Merrick Garland testified before Congress that he didn't have to appoint a special prosecutor, with a level of independence from him and the ability to investigate crimes without the need of permission from a boss, because he'd already given David Weiss complete authority to act independently and investigate whatever he wanted without need of additional permission.

He said this to Congress. That means it's a crime if he's found to have been lying.

Which he was. Because both of the IRS whistleblowers say that David Weiss explained to them that he couldn't charge Hunter Biden with more crimes, and couldn't even start investigations on some crimes, because Merrick Garland the FBI were blocking him from doing so.

The NYT has a third source -- independent of either of the two whistleblowers -- who says that yes, David Weiss said that Merrick Garland was blocking him from fully investigating and charging the president's crackhead son.

The first whistleblower, Gary Shapley, came forward when he saw Merrick Garland lie to Congress about David Weiss' authority to investigate the president's crackhead business partner in any way he saw fit. Now we have confirmation from an entirely different source that David Weiss told that person too that Merrick Garland was protecting the crackhead.

Merrick Garland must be impeached -- even if impeached after he leaves office. He must have his precious pension impounded from him.

And then he must be prosecuted for obstructing a congressional inquiry. Five years in jail, jack.

Bonchie notes that the New York Times is hiding and undermining its own scoop:

In any situation not involving a major Democrat, that would have been blared in the headlines as a bombshell. In what was presented as a passing mention in a broader piece, the Times independently sourced the damning allegation that AG Merrick Garland committed perjury before Congress (and repeatedly lied to the press and the American people). That's the story here, not the idea that there are "competing accounts," as the headline reads. One side is pretty obviously not telling the truth, and it's not the side that contains the two IRS whistleblowers.
Ironically, despite the aforementioned whistleblowers being technically such and being protected under the relevant statutes, the very same Times that has now confirmed the key component of their testimony is still putting scare quotes around the word whistleblowers.

Meanwhile, via Beege Wellbourne at Hot Air, CBS is actually bothering to report on the president using his crackhead son as a bagman to collect bribes from Communist Chinese officials.

He couldn’t keep track of a gun, his laptop, or who he impregnated, how did he know who to threaten with non payment for services rendered?

Both can be true. Hunter is pretty reckless and probably forgot a lot of stuff. He also probably lost track of a fair amount of money.

But he wasn't so addled that he couldn't do the job at all - that is a lie and an obvious one. He also had lawyers and whatnot helping him, but he was doing the job. Like any mafioso, he was also skimming, wasting and losing a fair amount of money for the family business but he always brought in enough that the don wasn't going to get too bent out of shape over it.

That was pretty much hunter's lawyer washing his hands of anything to do with this stuff. Just like the drunk driver that kills someone and pleads he didn't know what he was doing, this is going to end the same way if it ever winds up in court*.

As much as I love DJT I remember watching his first debate performance and thinking he just lost himself the election all by himself, by being oddly manic, nasty and constantly shouting and interrupting. It was like he drank a pot of coffee and had an adrenaline dump. It was one of the rare times when all the lying about him and manifest unfairness of the media etc really got to him. Really put him off his best self which is generally good humored.

Of course of course he actually won it below the margin of fraud, but I think that to the extent the returns might have mattered, it was a huge blow when the small, persuadable part of the country was briefly paying attention.

I talk to juries for a living and there are just some things that piss people off, and shouting, interrupting and being nasty are three of them.

There's nothing criminal about an ex-VP (or the son of an ex-VP) who is out of office trying to sell influence. That was the situation from January 21, 2017 to January 19, 2021.

I guess the Burisma payments to Hunter and all that business with withholding the $1 billion happened while Biden was still VP, but I don't hear the IRS going after that. I do think that's what Trump was referring to in the perfect phone call that got him impeached. Who is the prosecutor, if any, who is looking into that and what is the statute of limitations?

I gather that Hunter's tax situation might also implicate the Big Guy in not paying taxes, and that's what the whistleblowers' meeting was about, which I believe was in October 2020. Obviously, the DOJ/US Attorney Weiss put a spike in it because of the alleged election non-interference policy. But Garland wasn't in office yet.

So who gave the instructions that So Cal couldn't cooperate with Delaware, and when were they given? That had to have happened after January 2021, didn't it? Otherwise, Garland had nothing to do with it.

It has been verified through DNA that Hunter Biden is actually Trump's Child and thus the AG Garland has stated that all the crimes Hunter Biden have committed are actually Trump's fault. AG Garland also stated that Trump must be investigated and held responsible for these crimes. White House had no comment on the story ..........
