Is There a Coup Unfolding in Russia?

Are the Wagner Group mercenaries that Putin has used to wage the war in Ukraine attempting an armed coup against Putin?

I don't know. There's so much propaganda out of Russia and Ukraine I try to avoid writing about it at all.

But this could be important, so, on the off-chance this is real...

The Wagner Group is a private army -- mercenaries -- that Putin uses to fight the war in Ukraine. I assume he employs mercenaries to avoid having to draft more Russian boys, which would erode his standing with the public.

And allegedly, the founder of the group has turned a column of his troops towards Russia.

Russian channel DONTSTOPWAR reports that a 50km long Wagner-column has crossed the Novoshakhtinskaya border checkpoint into Russia reportedly heading for Novocherkassk (towards Rostov-on-Don).
The column itself has not yet been visually confirmed.

Supposedly, the head of the Wagner Group is accusing Russia of... bombing the Wagner mercenaries fighting for Russia?

The chief of the Wagner mercenary group on Friday accused Russia of killing a "huge number" of its forces in strikes and vowed to retaliate, ratcheting up tensions between Moscow and the private military company.
Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, 62, whose men have bolstered Russia's offensive in Ukraine, has ramped up his verbal attacks against Moscow in recent weeks, including questioning the very need for the military operation.
Once believed to be a close ally of President Vladimir Putin, Prigozhin is increasingly seen as keen on a political role as he engages in an all-out war of words with Moscow, that appears to have spilled onto the battlefield.
"The council of commanders of PMC Wagner has made a decision -- the evil that the military leadership of the country brings must be stopped," Prigozin said in a series of furious audio messages released by his spokespeople.
"We were ready to make concessions to the defence ministry, surrender our weapons.
"Today, seeing that we have not been broken, they conducted missile strikes at our rear camps. A huge number of our fighters, our comrades died."

18 The Ukrainians have been successful in raiding Belograd for weeks on end. I don’t think Russia has sufficient mobilized reserves to stop Wagner from driving across the border. I do think Wagner is eventually going to get pasted by the Russian Air Force tasked with protecting their major cities.

The fastest way to resolve this is probably going to be to prove that there is no debt to garnish, which will mean you have to contact the unemployment benefits agency to start proving there was fraud. That is the other end of the knot to start working on. The tax agency is probably just working an automated garnishment request for the UI people.

Hasn't this Ukraine war shown that smaller is better? If you make the drone big enough, it easily justifies using anti-aircraft missiles against it. A small drone armed with essentially a mortar round doesn't justify a million dollar missile except to the infantryman hit by that grenade.

I would use solvent as last resort. It depends on the surface roughness, and type of drops. A few big ones I would scrape off w/ sharp object,..

Paint stripper (caustic that swells the paint without dissolving) sometimes works well but is a pain.

Solvents generally just spread it around on a porous surface. That may be OK, but test it first. Dark paint will never be removed with solvent but it will stain the entire area.

angle grinder with wire wheel works (please use safety glasses AND a full face shield) but will leave surface lighter and it takes a couple years to match. but not too bad if you power wash whole area afterward.

That's a good point. I was thinking porous and needing it because of absorption, but yeah, it might just make it bigger and slightly faded. Scrape or grind and then patiently wait is a pretty good suggestion.

272 There are 1 million Russian troops surrounding Ukraine. Russia has used Wagner and smaller forces to kill 250,000 Ukrainians. Wagner group is nothing. Russia, not Wagner, has destroyed almost every single piece of western equipment in Ukraine. Russia, not Wagner, has the satellites, drones, high tech equipment every bit as lethal as the US.

Putin is far more popular now than he was before the war started. Wagner will be destroyed if that's what's really going on.

This is idiocy, this dreck propaganda from the west.
