Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 6/20/23- Supported the so-called Arab Spring which set the entire Middle East alight and destabilized the region. - Defended the exchange of five Taliban big-wig terrorists for American traitor Bowe Bergdahl. - Strident supporter of the Iran nuke sellout and opposed to designating the IRGC as a foreign terrorist organization. - Had advance knowledge of the pending collapse of Afghanistan beforehand yet did nothing, and in the wake of the disaster, both claimed it was a success while blaming Trump. - Hates Israel, has a hard-on for the so-called "Palestinians." - Opposed the attempted coup against Turkish dictator and radical Islamist Erdogan. - At one time he worked at the now notorious Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy, which has become a locus for the Biden Family mass influence-peddling operation. - Suspended the Trump Administrations asylum policies and helped fling our borders wide open. - Big-time "climate change" pimp. - Ordered our embassies to fly the fag flag and the BLM flag. - Constantly apologizing for and running down America wherever he goes. And on and on and on. That said, only last March, Blinken had a face to face in Alaska with a counterpart from Beijing, in which he got pimp-slapped. And that's being charitable: During a public meeting in Alaska that would normally have been a photo-op, Chinese officials savaged Secretary of State Tony Blinken for calling out Chinese human rights abuses in Xinjiang, Hong Kong, and elsewhere, and urging China to obey the "rules-based international order." “Each of these actions threaten the rules-based order that maintains global stability. That’s why they’re not merely internal matters and why we feel an obligation to raise these issues,” Blinken said. “The United States relationship with China will be competitive where it should be, collaborative where it can be, adversarial where it must be.” Chinese Communist Party foreign affairs chief Yang Jiechi delivered a nearly 20-minute lecture in response, where he denounced the "international community" and "so-called rules-based international order" as the "United Nations-centered international system" and a tool of the U.S. . . . . . “The fact is that there are many problems within the United States regarding human rights, which is admitted by the U.S. itself as well. ...The challenges facing the United States in human rights are deep-seated. They did not just emerge over the past four years, such as Black Lives Matter.” “We believe that it is important for the United States to change its own image and to stop advancing its own democracy in the rest of the world,” he said. “Many people within the United States actually have little confidence in the democracy of the United States.”And this is the guy we send to meet Xi Jinping. When you read his rap sheet, it's obvious that everything Blinken has done, believes or supports throughout his entire career has proven to be completely wrong and in many cases disastrously so. To be fair, since the end of World War 2 and perhaps even before, Foggy Bottom's priorities had American interests take a back seat to the so-called international order. But this is especially the case when Leftist Democrats control things. Normally, that execrable Mongoloid's remarks should have caused an American ambassador to stand, turn on him, and exit while blowing a loud wet flatus in the Asian's face. The problem here is every blood libel he hurled at Blinken about America's inherent human rights failings is only him repeating what Blinken and his boss and their party feel about their own country to begin with! And so, Blinken is off to meet with Xi, hoping to ease tensions between us and them. It was uncertain whether China’s President Xi Jinping would agree to give an audience to Secretary Blinken until, with about 45 minutes notice, Xi and Blinken ended up meeting for about a half hour. Secretary Blinken conveyed the same message in person to China’s leadership that the Biden administration has been uttering for months. Keep the channels of communication open “to ensure competition does not veer into conflict,” Blinken told Wang Yi. China’s message during Secretary Blinken’s visit was also the same as its leaders have uttered many times before. According to China’s view of why tensions between China and the United States have risen so sharply, the U.S. has failed to show due respect for China’s vital national interests, particularly regarding China’s territorial claim to Taiwan. “State-to-state interactions should always be based on mutual respect and sincerity,” President Xi remarked. A few days before Secretary Blinken’s visit, China’s Foreign Minister Qin Gang spoke more bluntly during his phone call with Secretary Blinken. He demanded that the United States “show respect” for China’s core concerns and “stop undermining China’s sovereignty, security and development interests in the name of competition.” That is a bit rich coming from the country which sent a spy balloon over U.S. sovereign airspace earlier this year to surveil sensitive U.S. military sites, and which set up a secret Chinese police station on U.S. soil. There was not a single reported acknowledgement of responsibility by China’s leaders, much less an apology, for China’s invasions of U.S. sovereignty and security. Then again, they see no reason to do so with [so-called quote-unquote "president"] Biden in the White House. President Biden showed how weak and out of touch with reality he is when he said, shortly before Secretary Blinken’s arrival in China, that the spy balloon incursion was more “embarrassing” for China’s leadership “than it was intentional.” Secretary Blinken’s face-to-face meetings with China’s leaders were not only a waste of time. As Republican Representative Elise Stefanik of New York warned, Secretary Blinken’s trip would only serve to “legitimize” the Chinese Communist Party’s “continued subversion of our sovereignty.” President Xi is not content with ousting America’s military and economic presence in China’s own neck of the woods and ensuring China’s dominance in Asia. President Xi’s ultimate goal is to build up a combination of military, technological, and economic powers sufficient to prove to many nations of the world the superiority of the Chinese authoritarian model of governance. Coupling these powers with China’s Belt and Road Initiative and other global soft power initiatives, President Xi is aiming to establish the primacy of his regime’s own version of a multilateral world order with China at its center. Despite President Xi’s talk of “mutual respect” at his meeting with Secretary Blinken, Xi has no respect for the United States and especially no respect for [so-called quote-unquote "president"] Biden.Speaking of Biden, shouldn't he be the one to meet with Xi? Considering his latest impression of Sid Vicious at a gun control rally . . . Yeah. Of late, Xi has stuck his nose in the Middle East with deals with the Saudis, sucking up to the "Palestinians" and becoming the mediator of the "peace process" and is now making deals with our alleged European allies. And while a desperately sought after deal regarding bilateral military communications to avoid conflict was, er, shot down, Blinken opened his cake hole about Taiwan and a flood of Biden spilled out. BLINKEN: “On Taiwan, I reiterated the long standing U.S. One China Policy. That policy has not changed. It’s guided by the Taiwan Relations Act, Three Joint Communiqués, the Six Assurances. We do not support Taiwan independence. We remain opposed to any unilateral changes to the status quo by either side.” We continue to expect the peaceful resolution of cross strait differences. We remain committed to continuing our responsibilities under the Taiwan Relations Act including making sure Taiwan has the ability to defend itself.” “At the same time, we and many others have deep concerns about some of the provocative actions that China has taken in recent years going back to 2016,” Blinken added. “And the reason that this is a concern for so many countries, not just the United States, is that were there to be a crisis over Taiwan, the likelihood is that could produce an economic crisis that could affect quite literally the entire world.” . . . Geez, what a slap in the face to American politicians who have traveled to Taiwan. In 2022, Nancy Pelosi said in Taiwan: “America’s determination to preserve democracy here in Taiwan and around the world remains ironclad.”The initial clusterfuck was Biden's tipping his hand a while back and openly stating that a minor incursion by the Chi-Coms into Taiwan would be acceptable, and then later declaring the US would defend Taiwanese territorial integrity, and it went from there vis a vis Pelosi and then McCarthy. Now Blinken is essentially telegraphing to Xi that, since we do not support Taiwan's independence, coupled with our own lack of preparedness and competence both strategically and on the front lines, is just an open invitation for Taiwan to be subsumed. The only hope is that the PLA underestimates the resolve of Taiwan to defend itself, and that any invasion winds up with the same outcome as the Russians now face in Ukraine. And a seaborne invasion is not an easy thing, regardless of who the combatants are. Also, the ChiCom military industrial complex and government are quite possibly even more corrupt than you can imagine. That said, their abilities at asymmetric warfare and psyops to accomplish a victory via subversion cannot be discounted. Hell, they've basically subverted much of this country and government already, so what the hell is a little island off its coast? And Anthony Blinken is not a one-off nor an outlier. He is representative of the mindset and competence of virtually everyone of our self-styled "elites" and a large swathe of the mid to upper echelons of our government.

Regarding Blinken’s statement, maybe I’m missing something but it seems like the same boilerplate “one-China” contradictory claptrap that all our pols have been using since Nixon went to China. Maybe it’s not the statement itself that’s the problem, but rather all the context laid out by JJ. If China decides its go-time due to the weakness of this junta, it will be catastrophic. I think that's a lot of it, honestly. The State Department sees itself as the entity in charge of bringing elected Presidents in line with the global agenda. And our government has been putting global interests above American interests for a long, long time. We read, a lot, in our own history books about how great the Marshall Plan was. Well, how great was it, really, to be taxed for decades - to rebuild two countries that brought about their own demise ? Was it really all that great, for John Q Citizen ? I'd say no, it was not. The eventual reward for John Q Citizen was watching as the country exported away his grand-kids jobs. Yay for globalism. Yet, still, its never challenged in the history books. ++++ He's actually not wrong about the latter, sadly. But what's particularly interesting about this is that it comes hot on the heels of Blinken's bootlicking of the Red Chinese. Just before this meeting, he broke "Strategic Ambiguity" Doctrine and bluntly stated that the US does not support Taiwanese independence. This has happened before (and so has breaking the Doctrine in the other direction), but it bought him nothing. He preemptively kowtowed to the Red Chinese on a topic of paramount importance to them, and they dragged his face through the mud anyway. There is a lesson in that. But the lesson here is also that Muslim leaders in the U.S. understandably want to uphold Islamic values, and the dissonance between those values and Western values is going to become increasingly apparent.
I categorically reject that statement. "Western values" has classically been coupled with the cultural, ethical and intellectual superiority of Christianity, the Renaissance, Magna Carta and individual human rights. What has happened is that "Western values" as being the predominant culture is increasingly being replaced by the non-Western cultures of paganism, superstition, barbarism, authoritarianism and brutality. Islam is an organized version of non-Western values that slaps on the patina of transcendence in the form of adherence to Mohammed's words posing as directives from Allah. Blinken, Barr, et al.
Look, these pimps' goal is to supersede the president. Period. The president is the commander in chief. Period. He is 1/3 of our Constitutional branches and has supreme command of all defense. The Deep State was created by congress and NONE of them supersede the President according to Article 2. All of this document bullshit is simply the Deep State trying to subvert the Constitution and DeSantis is the republican being paid to out Trump. Speaking of Biden, shouldn't he be the one to meet with Xi?
++++ Yes. Heads of state meet with heads of state. Those are the normal rules (barring emergencies or things like special projects and circumstances - like a head of state working directly with an attache during wartime). We are in unprecedented times as far as this goes. "Biden" delegates these duties a *lot* and counter to diplomatic standards. He sends Harris or Blinken or others to meet with heads of state. He can't, and they all know it. Our foreign policy has been pretty awful for around 30 years now (barring the momentary renaissance during the Trump years), but it's now become an abject disaster. Xi is both evil and fairly stupid, but he isn't a total stumbling fool.
He dopes pretty well along the line of the Dark Tetrad. His rise is what is so remarkable. His family was heavily persecuted and yet he managed to fight, claw and kill his way to the top. I'm confused because I thought the Titanic sank in the North Atlantic somewhere between Ireland and Iceland. So, why is the US Coast Guard doing the search?
Posted by: dantesed at June 20, 2023 08:13 AM (88xKn) ++++ My guess (it is only that) is that the USCG is extremely good at search and rescue, and since they know that they're doing, they're the ones engaging. If they find it and actually have to do sub recovery, deep diving, etc., then I suspect they'll call in the Navy since the Navy is generally quite good at that and the USCG has little experience in those areas. Love him or hate him, during Trump's presidency, the economy was strong, markets were up, inflation was under control, gas prices were low, illegal border crossings were down, crime was lower, trade deals were renegotiated, ISIS was defeated, NATO allies were stepping up, and China was stepping back (a little). Deny all that if you want to. The point here is that something like 100 million Americans believe it, strongly, and are bewildered and angered by elite hatred for the man they think delivered it.

The problem here is every blood libel he hurled at Blinken about America's inherent human rights failings is only him repeating what Blinken and his boss and their party feel about their own country to begin with!
------ They're not blood libels. The United States is a human rights violator. Ask it's political prisoners or the people in the sections of the globe we've destabilized with our incessant, pointless wars. The corruption of its regime's rigged elections has created a crisis of confidence where many of its citizens no longer believe the American political system is remotely democratic. The Chinese dude wasn't wrong. A bombshell study from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has confirmed that the risk of autoimmune heart disease is 13,200% higher in people who are vaccinated for Covid.
The study found that the risk of myocarditis following mRNA Covid vaccination is around 133x greater than the background risk in the population. The study was conducted by the CDC, FDA, and researchers from several top U.S. universities and hospitals. Researchers examined the effects of vaccination with products manufactured by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna. They found that Covid shots increase the risk of suffering myocarditis by 13,200%. During the WoT Assad supported the Jihadis in Iraq with military aid. The Dems warned Shrub if he responded they would impeach him. So Shrub did nothing. But this left Assad with a bunch of jihadis in his country. At the same time he was pissing off broad swaths of the population. And they rose up in a movement not (yet) controlled by the jihadis. And Obama sat back and did nothing. This led Assad mostly destroy this uprising but his weakness left an opening for the Jihadis and THEY rose up. And now Obama started helping the Jihadis and the non-Jihadis. Meanwhile Russia now intervened to help Assad. And the place is a major clusterfuck. All in all, it seems to me that the renaissance we have seen in the American space effort in the past ten years -- produced entirely by private enterprise -- is now at serious risk. The forces in the government that don't like freedom and independence outside of government control are now coalescing together to fight back. And as long as a Democrat controls the White House there will be nothing to stop this trend.

But they won't talk about this in terms of sex because the obvious answer then becomes "do your thing at home and leave me AND MY KIDS out of it" Oh and there are only 2 sexes, and gender is for words in European languages not people. I would say our foreign policy has always been largely misguided and it became abysmal after WWII and over the last 30 years, has become a steaming pile of dogshit, excluding Trumps term, whose foreign policy was, at least, sober and realistic, to the degree US foreign policy can be sober and realistic.
Posted by: Thomas Bender at June 20, 2023 09:04 AM (rc3Z7) ++++ Yeah. The most important thing Trump did, in my opinion, is reject multilateral doctrine. American foreign policy is dominated by giant multi-party deals where we usually end up paying the price to make them happen. Trump threw that out. He didn't pursue or even mention a "comprehensive Middle East Peace Plan," for example. He just put together a deal with interested parties and got it done. Same in the Pacific. He rejected a lot of Postwar foreign policy processes and got back to basics. It went very well, and I was in favor of it and still am. Forget multilateral boondoggles and sacrificing American interests to pursue mega-deals. Just make deals one-on-one and if others want to join, cool. If not, then not. They also believe Ukraine cannot win a long-term war of attrition and, as unjust and immoral as Russia's occupation of Ukraine is, thousands more Ukrainian deaths in an endless stalemate also would be unjustifiable and immoral.
For these and other reasons, Haass and Kupchan are urging the West to adopt a new strategy to end the Ukraine war with a ceasefire and peace talks. ============================ That this is written by Fred Fleitz is the most newsworthy thing about it, since what he actually says is not going to be news to the horde. Wars should be fought to minimize the cost to America in lives and treasure. But we haven't had that philosophy since 1945. ------- Wars are nearly never profitable, at least in the short-to-medium term, unless you simply strip all the resources of the vanquished. Not profitable for the country, anyway. But they are *very* profitable for the ruling class. And as long as our Big Guys are getting a piece of that action, we'll have these bewildering forays around the world. Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at June 20, 2023 09:30 AM (oINRc) 309

The crime and shady dealing of Maltese banks is only a recent phenomenon. Baron Mikel Scicluna kept things on the up-and-up there until his death in 2010. I was reading about a loss in west Africa from early in 2017. We had boots on the ground in some shithole. The local African leaders were working with a group of Jihadis and led our troops into an ambush which got a number of them killed. Why are we there? Who knows. How did we respond to the treachery? Hunter, 53, is now expected to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges of failure to pay in 2017 and 2018, for a combined tax liability of roughly $1.2 million. He'll also admit to illegally possessing a weapon after his 2018 purchase of a handgun - which will likely result in a 'diversion program' which would result in the removal of the gun charge if all of the program's conditions are met.
In total, Hunter will likely receive two years of probation and diversion conditions. Posted by: SMOD at June 20, 2023 09:47 AM (RHGPo) 338

When 'Progressives' of any alleged cultural background say 'Islam', they mean specifically Sufi Islam, which isn't the Islam of Mohammed, it's a far older strain of energy-worship/mystical union/One With The Universe stuff that Islam couldn't get rid of and was forced to co-opt. The same strain is present in Christianity, Judaism, etc. Adherents can seemingly effortlessly switch religion-names because they simply find that commonality between them. These people usually end up quasi-Buddhists or Pop Hindus. Also see: Progressive Jews; the Methodist Split; Unitarians; etc. They also relentlessly gravitate to varying intensities of so-called Leftism.
So, due to this utterly preposterous view of Islam, Yeah, they're genuinely shocked by, you know, Real Islam that throws queers off tall buildings. Posted by: LenNeal at June 20, 2023 10:07 AM (/BBNv) 341

Wishing for a war between Taiwan and China is a death wish. We don't have the weapons stockpiles to keep Taiwan supplied, the Chinese have reached the capability to deny our Navy access to the Taiwan strait and will be able to blockade the island, and that war would likely escalate into a war between us and them, a fool's errand considering the uniparty outsourced all our manufacturing to them over the past thirty years including most of our medicines.
I mean, we could take on a two front war with the nation with the most natural resources and the nation with the highest population, highest manufacturing capacity, and world's largest economy, not to mention the good relations of most of the world, but, hey, it could work out, right?
