Disney Hired a Male Gay Pron Star as an Actor in The Little Mermaid

Disney claims they didn't know this guy was a gay porn actor. But they did put out a call for "really sexy male models" -- for a children's movie -- and didn't bother checking the CVs of the really sexy male models, like "Dante Ferrari," that they were interested in.

Here's a hint that "Dante Ferrari" might have been a gay porn star:

His name is "Dante Ferrari."

Casting bosses working on the live-action remake wanted to use "really sexy male models" to portray the mermen in the film, and among those hired for the job was 24-year-old Stefano Tomadini, who has also made adult movies under the alias Dante Ferrari.
His explicit films, for which he was paid up to 1,000 [pounds] a time, are still available to watch online, though viewers have to pay.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Casting bosses decided to hire a number of really sexy male models to play mermen in the movie.
"They had no idea about Stefano's racy videos and, given 'The Little Mermaid' is the big summer blockbuster for kids, it's a bit embarrassing for Disney."
While filming the movie in Sardinia, Stefano shared a number of behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram.
Tagging Disney in the post, he wrote in the caption: "Lifetime memories with lifetime friends.(sic)"
A spokesperson for Disney declined to comment.

The leftwing shill media is finally admitting that The Little Mermaid is a flop that will probably lose money.

A few weeks ago, I pointed out that Woke Shill Grace Randolph admitted that The Little Mermaid might make $500-$600 million, and that would be a big disappointment.

And if the number "had a four in front of it"? That is, if the movie made between $400 and $500 million? That would be a "disaster," she opined.

Well, the final tally will have a 4 in front of it.

In third place, "The Little Mermaid" added $22.8 million from 4,320 theaters, declining 46% from the weekend prior. After three weeks of release, the live-action remake is swimming along with $228 million at the domestic box office. But the big-budget film has been struggling at the international box office, where ticket sales have been floundering with $185 million. (Yes, that's considered "floundering" for a movie that cost $250 million.) At one point, there was hope "The Little Mermaid" would near the $1 billion mark; after a disappointing turnout overseas, it'll be lucky to hit $500 million.

"Lucky to hit $500 million" means it will make something in the 4's.

Meanwhile, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is limping to low-level profitability:

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" took the No. 4 spot with $7 million from 3,175 venues in its sixth weekend on the big screen. So far, the comic book adventure has grossed $335 million in North America and $805 million worldwide, which is above the original 2014 "Guardians of the Galaxy" ($333 million domestically, $773 million worldwide) but below the 2017 sequel ($389 million domestically, $863 million worldwide).

Disney's next huge black-eye will be Elementals, from Pixar. Pixar, the studio that could do no wrong and was just a great big printing press stamping out hundred million dollar bills -- until Bob Iger bought it and ran it into the ground.

Pixar's next "big" release will open between $31 and $41 million. Average projection: $35 million.

Those are Cocaine Bear level numbers.

Well done, Disney. Well done.

And after Elementals comes Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

As reported by Deadline, box office analysts are predicting the fifth and final film in the franchise will take between $60 million to $70 million over a five-day holiday opening. While those sort of numbers would be reason to celebrate for most movies, Harrison Ford's last outing as the archaeologist action hero was expected to be a big hitter for Disney and Lucasfilm.
The Dial Of Destiny's 3-day opening is down from the $100.1million opening for Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, which is widely considering to be the worst film in the franchise.

A $60-70 million opening for an Indiana Jones film! Incredible!

Don't worry, though -- in November, Disney is set to release the Box-Office Killer that will completely turn their year around:

The theory is that Iger had Indy 5 premiere at Cannes without a review embargo in order to get the word out that it wasn't good and undermine the film's box office performance.

my daughter is a HUGE Disney fan and she was like "this sucks" - the only "known" songs they used were that dumb "We Don't Talk About.." one from that crappy Encanto and the absolute worst song from the Lion King. other than that they were from straight to video sequels, bad Disney Plus shows, and Turning Red.

It's also a leaden, bore of a film that goes for almost 2.5 hours. The music sounds horrible since they auto-tuned Emma Watson to death. It's ugly to look at because "realism".

Through the 30s, 40s, and 50s, they were the most successful movie studio in Hollywood. Their movies were consistently the most money making things the industry made.

That was countered by the fact that their practices were wildly inefficient and led to massive cost overruns on almost everything they produced, especially the biggest earners making them barely profitable despite dominating the market. It couldn't last forever, and it didn't last forever.

461 127 I just don't get that. You make a movie that is 96.24% GCI and you only have to pay a couple of real actors. I mean how much could that cost to make? 20-30 million maybe? Add in another $5 million for advertising and you are nowhere close to $50 million.

If you had to pay a half dozen or more good artists and programmers to pull an actor around and move his arms and legs for every shot, live action would be very expensive.

That's more or less how CGI is, drawing the frames.

People with small children probably want to think the people producing their entertainment take a lot of precautions to keep their nose clean.

If they are careless, what other hires who come in contact with kids are they also careless? And if they were not careless, but indifferent, that's even worse.

463 I get all the business reasons, but it is sad that so much from Hollywood is a re-make or a reboot or a spin-off. Boring. No wonder that so many people consume self-made, lower budget content on YouTube, etc. It might not be high concept but much of it is more original.
