Maybe this is the edge of the parking lot overlooking the shore, and she intends to step down into the sand proper for her walk. Some fine sand has drifted up on the slab, borne by the wind -- but not enough for her to leave footprints.

101 I've been to a couple beach weddings where the bride was indeed barefoot in the sand. It was so fun! We were all wearing pretty sundresses and the guys were in light colored linen suits and a "Harvest Moon" was played by my husband on an acoustic guitar and another friend on a mandolin.

Crushed it. 40 minutes of extremely difficult solo classical guitar music with almost no clinkers, never once lost continuity, and was totally composed. Then the Carmen Suites for classical guitar quartet for another 15 minutes.

He's doing ok. Still a bit depressed. I was wrong, his brother isn't coming till THIS Friday, so we'll see how that does. He's doing the rehab, but isn't eating all that much. He has 2 Dr. appoints this week, one with the gastro doc and one with the bone/shoulder doc. We'll see about what they want to do with that, hopefully.

in the top of the machine is a bag of batter. a roller squeezes a measured amount onto something like a hot conveyor belt. after a couple rounds of that, the conveyor belt ends over your plate.
