Tara Reade: The Biden DOJ Openend An Investigation Into Me In 2020, and May Indict Me At Any Time

She also says that former US intel people told her that she might be arrested if she left Russia. She was told that because she accepted a plane ticket from a Russian media company, Biden's DOJ was considering charging her for "violating Russian sanctions," and then putting her in jail.

This is why she says she's decided to remain in Russia, and request Russian citizenship. She's not giving up her US citizenship, though. She says she doesn't feel "safe" in the US any longer.

She's supposed to testify in Congress about Biden. How will she do that from Russia? She says her lawyer has proposed she be allowed to testify by video link.

I guess if Congress doesn't allow that, she won't testify.

More from Deb Heine.

Tara Reade, the former Senate staffer who accused Joe Biden of sexual assault in 2020, has moved to Russia, telling state media that she hasn't felt safe in her home country since she made her allegations public. In the wake of the explosive interview in which she described the alleged 1993 sexual assault, Reade said she faced death threats, prison threats, and vicious smears against her character.

During a news conference in Moscow Tuesday, Reade said she decided to stay in Russia after receiving renewed death threats this Spring, and a Republican lawmaker told her she was in physical danger.

Back in March, she told Turning Point USA's Benny Johnson that she was in talks with Republican lawmakers about testifying before Congress. "I did reach out and said I wanted to go under oath--that I would testify in Congress, Reade said during the interview. "I have received a response. We are going to meet. And there is a possibility there will be an investigation into Joe Biden. And I will go under oath and I will testify."

Why it matters: The lawsuit comes just weeks after Justice, the wealthiest person in West Virginia, announced his campaign for Sen. Joe Manchin's (D-W.Va.) seat in 2024.

I do not think so. Putin is a Nationalist. We are now firmly Globalist. We're 1930s Stalin with less oppression and more money. He's 1930s Hitler with less oppression and more greed.

I'm firmly convinced the rest of the world, as much as they can think in modern terms, is looking at us and trying to decide how to minimize our impact on everyone else. We're the last super-power. Turns out, everybody not a super-power really resented being caught between two super-powers. Being lorded over by one is even more distasteful.

Lucky for them, it's not going to be long. Because our political class also seems Hell bent on not being a super-power.

I've seen videos where he is groping around on a young girl's chest, looking for her nipples. Apparently he pinched some young girl's nips. She was asked about it on social media and she admitted that he really did that, and then later she took that statement down, saying some adults explained to her that she shouldn't talk about it.

Then there's the video where he is holding the hand of a grade school aged girl and pressing her hand against his crotch.

He's icky.

119 for the few keepng track of such things, Disney probably just lost the Reedy Creek legal case they'd filed against DeSantis, and it hasn't even started yet. They had filed their case in Federal Judge Mark Walker's court, because it was well known that he absolutely and personally hates Ron DeSantis, and goes out of his way to attack him in almost every decision he renders. Disney was gloating over that - well, Walker just "decided" to recuse himself from the case, giving a ridiculously false explanation for doing so. (The real reason was that the 11th Circuit was about to toss him off the case because of his blatant and public bias) So now the case goes to a Judge who is very likely to decide that it is a matter of State Law, not Federal, and since the Florida Lege has already authorized the action, that's a slam dunk win for Florida, loss for Disney.

Another Big Win for Heavy D.

"I'm not against the Second Amendment," he said, "but just with my conscience, I can’t sell it because, I don’t know who it’s going to affect and hurt."
https://tinyurl.com/2z5z4xr5

Waldman said that if he hadn't already decided to close his shop, another reason presented itself six weeks ago when a customer wanted to buy 4,000 rounds.

Even 1,000 would have been reasonable, but four times that amount, Waldman said, made him question his field. If you had ordered 200 to 1,000 rounds, that's fine. Anyone who shoots regularly, you're going through a thousand rounds in a month," he said.

"But when you order 4,000 rounds, the kind of stuff that goes through engine blocks, refrigerators and vests that police officers wear, I just can't sell that," he said.

Waldman insisted he's not pushing for greater restrictions on firearm ownership but is only advocating for more gun safety. Shannon Watts, the founder of the gun violence prevention group Moms Demand Action, praised Waldman for linking firearms to threats against children.

162 Bragg's subordinates despised him. Best story I've read; due to the messed up structure of the Confederate States, the leaders of the various state militias and forces were subordinate to the Confederate Govm't, but there were no enforcement mechanisms against anyone who didn't do what they were told. (States rights and all that, one of the background reasons the Confederacy lost) Gen'l PGT Beauregard with his Louisiana units was serving under Bragg when an order was given that all units were to launch a general attack at dawn the next morning, with Beauregard's troops leading the assault. Beauregard did not care for this plan, and informed Bragg, who told him he would do it anyways because those were his orders. (end first half)

Spending money is the point of being in government.

If a Member of Congress has the choice between building a $100 million bridge in his or her district and an equally effective $10 million bridge, the Member will want the $100 million bridge. Every. Time.

It used to be that the only check on this practice was the budget and the other Members. But now that the Fed can endlessly print money, the Members vote for the $100 million bridge in each other's districts.

The entire point is to spend money.

201 part 2, cont;d: So the next morning dawned, with Bragg and his staff camped on a promontory where they could overlook the battle. Nothing happened. An hour went by, no attack - after 2 hours, he sent a rider over to Beauregard's HQ to find out what the problem was. He found Beauregard and his staff seated at an elaborate 7 course breakfast, served on the silver that Beauregard had brought with him from his plantation home, cooked by his personal staff. The rider demanded to know why nothing had happened, and Beauregard replied (of course in his smooth Louisiana voice) "Sir, do you mean to tell me that the attack has not yet commenced? Please tell Gen'l Bragg that I am deeply shocked to learn of this - deeply shocked!" He then dismissed him and returned to his 7 course breakfast.
When the rider carried this news to Bragg, he at first said nothing and just went inside his tent, where those nearby reported they heard much cursing and smashing of things.

Posted by: Montec at June 02, 2023 01:34 PM (LUk/Z)

Video testimony is typically due to intractable circumstances like the COVID response or physical incapacity. The Congress takes its job seriously, and expects those who participate in the process to take their roles equally seriously. We do not consider the use of things like video conferencing merely for the convenience of one of the participants.

If we decide to pursue an investigation and if that investigation requires Ms. Reade's testimony, then she will have to appear to provide it. The gravity of the charges she has leveled and the politically-sensitive nature of her allegations requires the utmost adherence to the proper protocols and methods, as these procedures are necessary given the seriousness of the situation.

If her testimony is necessary, she can appear or she can be held in contempt of Congress. If we pursue this and she does not make herself available according to our procedures, she will be firmly but justly reprimanded for disrupting the magisterial processes of Our Democracy.

It is emblematic of the MSM's 'reporting'. Note the use of 'shed', as opposed to the more truthful 'stripped'. A casual choice of words? No.

The article *might* have addressed the tens of thousands of GI's who lived and trained at Bragg since it's inception, and how they feel about having this bit of their history stripped away from them. Instead, all of their references will be socio-politically driven politicians, most of whom have never lifted a finger in defense of the country, much less have served at Bragg, or anywhere.

I'll buy that. Studied everything about that conflict as much as any self-educated man can. The two biggest problems the South had were Lincoln and Robert. E. Lee.

Lincoln was a cat that would have destroyed the entire Union before he lost a single inch of it. The man was a friendly tyrant more than anything else. And Robert E. Lee was a brilliant general when, unfortunately, the South only needed a McClellan. Somebody to wait Lincoln out. Because make no mistake, Lincoln was on the clock. 246 The more you realize how remarkably accurate this is for political parties - the old, infirmed guys running the factions, the idea of taking no chances when whacking out dissident party soldiers or members, the use of enforcement arms, lethal or otherwise, the burying of the results of your enforcement in faraway places...yeah, this scene could apply to the US Congressional and Executive branches and their hierarchy.

This was actually one of those topics "taught" in low budget MBA classes, back in the day. I say taught because it was a idea given a word when thinking folks already knew the concept.

Old folks think until their deaths, and they're typically pretty selfish about it. They don't think a damn thing about the "future". Young folks, although not as wise, tend to think longer term. Because they haven't grasped the idea yet that they'll die.

278 Mojang set to ban "adult weapons" from the game
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiM3vJGTBB0

Minecraft guns and firearms are apparently set to be banned under revised user policies from Mojang, which seem to state that "all references to guns and firearms are not compliant" with the current adult content rules for the popular building game. One popular Minecraft server, GTM or 'Grand Theft Minecraft,' has allegedly received a notice from Mojang saying that it must remove or redesign the guns that feature in its custom games. Minecraft customizations that allow for realistic-looking guns, and also have names similar to their real-world counterparts, appear to be the central concern of Mojangs current user policies.

Because they're losing money on the deal. A lot of small-piece stuff from China (not sure about Turkey, but probably) is a big money loser. The big online clothing retailer Shein is a nightmare scenario for this. They offer free shipping with no minimums on their low-price (and low-quality) goods, but they take it straight up the pooper with a razor blade on the shipping. It costs them something like $12 or so to ship something from China to a customer in the US or Canada. If the customer buys a lot of stuff, this is fine - but you can buy a single item and get that free shipping.

The stores that do this are trying to destroy competitors before they get eaten alive by the costs, or they're loss-leading to drive bigger sales. A lot of the AliExpress/TaoBao sales are in this latter category. They eat some or all of the shipping because they're hoping it gets offset by larger orders.

Retweets Daily Wire and embeds the whole movie. And since it's a Musk tweet it's gone even more viral than before. It looks to me like Musk is doing this as an end-run to get around the restrictions his handlers -- not him -- have imposed.

I don't know what else could explain what he just did here, other than he's not really in charge at the back end. Same folks as before are pulling those levers.

Same. Scotch and rye all the way for me, but I do like the occasional bourbon. I won't spend a lot of $$ on bourbon like I will on Scotch. I've not tasted much difference between $50 bourbon and $1500 bourbon.

Mac 12 is a good choice but it's gotten pricy at least around me ($75 a bottle). For that money, I'd rather get something Islay for more powerful flavor.
