Grand Jury Report: Environmental Extremists Who Defaced a Priceless Painting at the Smithsonian Arranged Press Coverage With the Washington Post Before Committing Their Crime

This feels like a conspiracy to me.

What is the definition of a conspiracy...? The agreement that one or more persons making the agreement will commit a crime.

The Washington Post "journalist" and videographer who showed up to document this extremist Art Insurrection are co-conspirators.

The Post credited this to "John Farrell, Jackson Barton/The Washington Post" when it published the video as part of its report. Jackson Barton has been the Post's "breaking news video editor" for nine months, according to a press release from WaPo's PR department last August. Quite a scoop -- and a coincidence, no?

Er ... probably not. A grand jury returned an indictment against Smith and Martin yesterday, charging the pair with felonies for an injury to a National Gallery of Art property (40 US 6303, 6307) and conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States (18 USC 371). Both could cost the two defendants up to five years in prison and $250,000 per count, although they're likely to get shorter sentences than that if they have no prior convictions.

But let's get back to the WaPo's good fortune in having a reporting team on scene when the attack occurred. Was that just a coincidence? Not according to the grand jury:

Below, a cameraman in Sweden has a very different opinion on whether one should conspire with environmental extremists.

During the riots of 2020, there was one reporter for a Portland alt-weekly who I called "Portland Antifa's favorite stenographer" who obviously was working directly with Antifa to generate maximum favorable news coverage.

And she got rewarded, too - she got a job with the Washington Post.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiYpc_W9NwM

Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses the recent amendments to NJS 2C:39-3, which was New Jersey's attempt to ban un-serialized firearms. However, the language of the statute AND the fact that there are no exceptions or grandfathering clause has many now realizing that hundreds of thousands of firearm are now illegally possessed by lawful and responsible New Jersey resident everywhere. Was this always the intention of those that pushed this legislation or is this the product of what happens when gun laws are written by people who don't know anything about guns? Perhaps its a little bit of both. Learn what all of this means to you and arm yourself with education.

179 113 US Kicks Kosovo Out Of Military Drills For Anti-Serb Escalation

NATO is sending 700 more peacekeeping troops to Kosovo...

.. don't take it out on the women and children
Posted by: SMOD at May 31, 2023 01:38 PM

This...is probably the right call. As much as love the Kosovars, and as tight as out alliance is, the entire NATO mission there is a peacekeeping one, supporting a UN resolution to stop the bloodshed until a political solution can be reached...and I believe one of those two specifically says the goal is not to create an independent state of Kosovo (although we basically have).

The Europeans and Americans meddle so much in the negotiations, no settlement will ever be reached. The Serbs and Kosovars probably could, with a few land swaps, but the international community has squashed that idea, as it sets a BAD precedent for the region (and the US wants to make Kosovo a model of a functioning, multi-cultural nation instead of swapping out non-Kovovar inhabited areas). A real cluster.

If you do not continually reinforce or reform an institution, it will inevitably collapse.

The notion of powerful and brilliant controllers of everything is only possible far from the action(there are brilliant people, good and evil, but few can rise to the top in stable times). Most of the ruling class is born into it(which is not as true during times of high competition) and there isn't much pressure to work hard or develop skills. This isn't an unusual pattern. It's why the marches have more formidable nobility than the court. It is human nature to coast if we can, also human nature to rig things in favor of our offspring. Easier to cheat than to work hard.

270 The notion of powerful and brilliant controllers of everything is only possible far from the action(there are brilliant people, good and evil, but few can rise to the top in stable times).
Posted by: Red Turban Someguy - The Republic is already dead! at May 31, 2023 01:56 PM (eYoxG)

Conningsby

The purchase of commissions system was as workable as the later meritocratic one.

March Lords being better at anything other than tactical conflict compared to the Court is ahistorical.

The For Pol and military exploits of the Monarchies were incredibly complex and far beyond some March Lord's competence.

When one really looks at an "emergent process" one sees intent every time. Every time.

Take the US Rust Belt. That was by men like Kodorovsky. Intentional.

Purchase of commissions isn't anti-meritocratic. Hereditary(or quasi-hereditary) systems are anti-meritocratic, and also the ones that humans try to pursue when in power.

Frontier generals overthrowing and reforming the central government is a historical norm in Rome and China. The ascendance of the Franks is a similar such example.

The institutions implemented frequently resemble prior ones, just before they decayed.

It is human nature to divert an organization to serve personal interests. It's not that some special genius is needed to re-establish systems long since invented, it's that the system is inevitably corrupted and must be restored or replaced. The king who rules at the time of collapse is rarely at personal fault.

Systems claiming to be meritocratic devolve into ones that aren't, such as the Chinese Imperial examinations.

The purchase system was 100% anti-meritocratic and functionally hereditary. It just was.

Man's sinful nature is not something I dispute obviously.

Or the historical fact that social organizations collapse and new ones arise.

The issue is if some abstract process of unknown origin is responsible.

I say no, and that human intent is reaponsible every time. Civilizations are destroyed by individuals not abstract forces.

The Imperial Exams were the result of intentional activity by individuals.

As were the installation of Roman commanders from Britain as Emperors.

As was the removal of blood as a requirement for command.

The level of abstraction on which emergent processes exist has no causal connection to reality.

That seems at most a pedantic quibble. Good times create weak men is a perfectly fine summary of how abundant resources allow for self-indulgence. Sure, everyone is individually making their own choices, but just as surely these are broad tendencies that no one has yet devised a system around.

Someone may come around and buy a government a new lease on life for 100 or 200 years, or he may not. But the decay part happens naturally due to common human preferences.

The US at such a young age is now the oldest living government.

Roman republic: 409ish to 2nd punic war 218 (changed to more of an oligarchy than it had been.)
That to Augustus: 218 to 27BC
Principate to Dominate: 27 to 284
Dominate to End of Western 284 to 476?

One might be able to argue Byzantium, but I am not familiar enough with that history to say whether the governmental organization had such clear delineations.

Communists and Fascists have always held a deconstructivist philosophy. Mostly because these philosophies are so empty and fundamentally self contradictory (relying on enlightenment thinking while rejecting it at the same time) one has to forget everything that came before to make them make sense.

Attacking the past, which the left does across the board, is always an extension of separating popular thought away from the idea that man is an image of The Creator, with a history of being pulled toward said Creator despite our faults, instead of a pure will that in it's rare high elite form is itself the only relevant god, and in its common low form only a smart monkey, that needs animal husbandry to take care of it.

We need to treat these attacks as what they are attempts to debase humanity.

472 "priceless painting at the Smithsonian"

What makes a painting "priceless"?

Unique? Wonderful design? Will never exist in the known universe again?

Wow...sounds like the description of a human fetus.

473 Ok the Taylor Swift thing got me to read about who Matty Healy is.

Apparently he's a soi boi who the FNM is trying to get to admit he's gay.

They harassed him so much he claimed he was open to kissing a guy but not having sex with one...which got the FNM in a bigger uproar claiming that's a clear sign of anti-gay hate.

Its almost comical.

That being said Swift should be forced to date Lena Dunham. She's earned it.

475 First of all I want to say fantastic blog!
I had a quick question that I'd like to ask if you do not
mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior
to writing. I've had a hard time clearing my thoughts in getting
my ideas out there. I truly do enjoy writing but
it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or
hints? Cheers!
