I'm up early having a quick peanut butter on toast with my coffee. Best not to go to the grocery when you're hungry, or at least that's what we've always been told. I need to run to the Walmart because I have to buy the oil for next month's oil change, and because they sell the healthier food the cats like. I'll have the real breakfast (which will include bacon!) when I get back.

35 I would like to thank the folks-some of who aren't up yet- who prayed for the worship service at the Senior Care Centetr I didn't knock anything over, they enjoying singing the hymns/ particularly " "Jesus loves me" and there was a lovely new fellow there -97 - who was a very charismatic fellow ( He said "Hallelujahl" and "Praise the Lord" a lot and was quite choked up by the songs and his son in law is apparently a minister at a local "Alliance" church. Also, the residents seemed happy to see our son there.

Thanks for this. My mom and her friends at the place she was in loved any music. The tunes helped them to then remember the words. They loved the late 40 early 50s stuffed. I think it made the remember good times. They did like singing hymns too.

Incident occurred at 600ft where outside and inside air pressure were about equal. Door was designed to open out and then slide forward assisted by a small nitrogen cartridge. So the door opened and the emergency chute then deployed to be ripped away by the slipstream. Luckily this door on the left side was behind the wing. Some people were taken to the hospital but luckily no fatalities.

Yesterday I went to Silver City, NM (elev 6000) for their 28th Blues Festival. For a small city that do a bang up job. Friday evening they have a couple bands play at the Little Toad Creek, Saturday it is 5 bands in the park with 3 of them ringers from around the country that know the definition of blow it up - they were as good as it gets. Today (Sun) its back to the Little Toad beginning at 11:00 am until after dark. Silver City has weather and terrain similar to Santa Fe and Taos, it is flat out beautiful. It also is the gateway to the Gila mountains. It is worth stopping by if you are in the area. I went with my 23 yo tower monkey who within 30 minutes of the afternoon show meet a very beautiful young woman, off they went dancing - I told my friend I will come get you on Sunday but that didn't work out because she had to get Lil' Sis home and that derailed the who affair. I thought he was going to wear out his text messaging program on his cell phone. In other news my young ward suddenly found the inspiration to fix the CV joint on his car so he can go back to Silver City Sunday afternoon - life is hilarious.

When Jesus ascended into heaven forty days after His resurrection, He instructed the Apostles to wait in Jerusalem for the sending of the Holy Spirit. Our community was the recipient of a delivery of Somalis courtesy of Uncle Sam. On the day a large group of Somali kids started school, my wife was involved in her first ever fistfight with one of the boys in her class. According to her, it was vicious. Rookie mistake Pal - he got his ass beat.

And this was in elementary school.

They are a delightful people.

94 Lost in Space do you ever get to Cimarron?

I haven't been their lately. I went through there a few years ago in a white out blizzard. The only way I made it was by following a semi truck - if it had gone off the road I was right behind him. I want to go back the summer and spend a week poking around Cimarron, Red River, Eagles Nest, etc. It is beyond beautiful in that area.

104 We had haze for a couple days in a row last week. Turns out it was smoke from fires up in Canada that was swept down into the central US before being blown east into our area.

It was a narrow ribbon of smoke/haze you could see on satellite imagery. Weird it was not reported locally even though you could clearly see it.

F1 is also streaming on ESPN3. Probably going to be a boring procession as most of the races there are. Back markers will make it interesting presuming the field doesn't stack itself up in turn 1.

As for Indy... speeds are off the hook fast. RLR (Rahal's team) looked horrible and didn't qualify one of their cars. Yet it a weird twist of fate there was an accident during the final practice between a RLR car and someone else resulting in the other driver being injured. He'll not run, but Rahal's son who failed to qualify will drive that other car. The RLR car involved in the crash was driven by the only woman (Katherine Legg) in today's race.

VN isn't a particularly good movie. A few funny parts. A big Christmas movie without all that "problematic" Baby Jesus stuff, and a Santa that is a drunk and coward until he remembers his barbarian(pagan?) past and shows his goodness by killing a bunch bad guys with aa sledgehammer.

The weirdest part of the movie is that it has this constant vibe of "and now you're going to learn a lesson" buuuut can never decide what that lesson is and finally settles on "money is only good for burning", which is the same message the Joker taught us.
