Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, suffers from PTSD but not really. Whatever it is he suffers from, though he calls it PTSD, was brought on by Donald Trump and the death threats he would receive after a mean tweet against him was posted by Trump. Because, of course it's Trump's fault. Never mind Khan received threats before Trump was president. He's pointing a finger at Trump. And, you know which finger it is.

The far-left progressive considers his mental anguish to be PTSD but he doesn't want to sound like a total jerk and have others make comparisons to real PTSD, like that which is suffered by members of the military and first responders. He's a bureaucrat, the mayor of one of the world's largest cities, and things like personal threats come with the territory in today's world. The interesting thing is that he's talking about the mental and emotional difficulty he is having as he serves in his capacity as mayor, yet he is running for re-election. Not only is the Labour mayor for London since 2016 seeking a third term next year, he hopes to serve six, count 'em, six terms. He wants the job but he just wants to whine about it when it gets difficult, apparently.


You've been suffering with PTSD?

"Without a doubt. One of my best friends is a doctor and we talk about it. We play tennis and he gives me talking therapy."

What did they relate the PTSD to: the terrorist attacks, death threats, the pandemic?

"I think the phrase is cumulative." Again, he caveats it. "By the way, I'm not comparing what I am going through to some of the stuff people go through -- as a lawyer my clients with PTSD were asylum seekers and refugees. I would never give equivalence to what I am going through. Nor would I ever want people to feel sorry for me. I'm very privileged to do the job I do." And another caveat -- this time a different type. "By the way, if this means I'm a snowflake, so be it, right? Mental health is fragile if it's not looked after. And I shouldn't be afraid to talk about it."

No. Mental health issues aren't something to be ashamed to talk about but if a person's mental health is in decline due to his or her job, it's time to switch jobs. In this case, Khan wants to stay on the job and it looks like he's just interested in maintaining power. Putting personal politics over mental health or personal health issues is not a winning formula for the politician or his constituents.

Biden's corrupt DOE has proposed new rules which would deny federal funding to colleges which do not allow men to beat the shit out of girls in athletics.

These rules generated 156,000 comments, largely negative.

The proposed rule, which entered the public comment period last month, places restrictions on the ability of schools to require student-athletes to compete based on their biological sex. If schools defy the rule, they could lose federal funds, even as a number of states have passed laws requiring student-athletes to compete based on their biological sex.

"The Department of Education only opened the comment period for 30 days (rather than the customary 60-90 days), yet the volume that was generated in such a short period of time actually surpassed the total number of comments submitted for Secretary DeVos' Title IX rule in 2018," Neily said. "This highlights how strongly Americans feel about the issue of transgender athletic participation -- both for and against -- and will be closely watching how the federal government decides to adjudicate this fraught issue."

Neily's group submitted a comment that urged the department to abandon the rule in its current form, saying it ignores the biological differences between men and women.

"The Proposed Rule credits 'fairness' and 'safety' as underlying factors for the urgency of the agency action," the group wrote. "But the Proposed Rule ignores the biological differences between males and females, forcing females to compete against males, compromising both fairness and safety. This violates the very law -- Title IX -- the Proposed Rule purports to protect."

Former Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos told the Washington Examiner on Friday that current secretary Miguel Cardona should withdraw the proposed rule, which she said is "illegal and dangerous" and that thousands of people had made their displeasure with the regulatory proposal known.

"This proposal is anything but a 'compromise,'" DeVos said. "It's a diversion intended to distract from their true goal: destroying women's sports and installing radical gender theory as the law of the land. It takes a certain kind of brazenness to use Title IX, which was passed to protect educational and athletic opportunities for women and girls, to take those very opportunities away. Thankfully, tens of thousands of Americans saw it for what it was and raised their voices in opposition. The public comment period may be over, but the battle is just beginning."


A Seattle jurisdiction had to cancel mail delivery due to rampant theft.

Meanwhile, a parent is complaining about her daughter losing a race to a man.

The parent had to complain anonymously -- for fear of bullying against her daughter and her family, and possible attempts to get her fired or even commit terroristic violence against her.

A California parent of a female runner who lost to a biological male in Saturday's California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) race called it "unfair" in an interview with Fox News Digital.

Athena Ryan, a transgender female, finished in second place in the varsity girls 1,600-meter run finals on Saturday in the sectional Meet of Champions.

Ryan, of Sonoma Academy, finished behind Hanne Thomsen of Montgomery High School and ahead of Ellie Buckley of Campolindo High School. Ryan will advance to the CIF State Track & Field Championships next week.

One of the parents of the runners who lost to Ryan, whose name is being withheld due to fears of retaliation and bullying, blasted the competition for allowing a biological male to compete against the girls.

"I'm absolutely opposed to it. There's no way this should be allowed," the parent said. "Ryan was in like fifth place with 100 to go, and all of a sudden he... blew past the girls."

"How do you not understand that that's unfair?" the parent said.

"I 100% percent empathize with the need to belong and the desire to compete. [However,] you have to understand how hard these girls work to do this."

"You're cheating [the sport], like the narcissism of this whole thing," the parent said about CIF's policies.

The parent also said that the girls will not speak out about their disappointment of Ryan's inclusion in their sport because it could be considered "bullying" and affect their ability to compete at all.

"The student athletes' reactions are very tempered and controlled as much as they can because they're not allowed to show any reaction whatsoever to potentially not affirm what is happening," the parent said. "We've been advised that anything that potentially can come off as bullying is a code of conduct violation. And so by CIF rules [the girls are] unable to speak out about this."

Mail delivery was suspended to parts of south Seattle due to rampant theft of the mail.


Some south Seattle residents are claiming a significant 'mail fail' is occurring as the United States Postal Service (USPS) has halted mail delivery due to a rise in recent vandalism and theft.

A sign at a nearby U.S. Postal Service office in Columbia City is telling residents in the "98118" zip code to pick up their mail in person at an annex office, located at 5920 Martin Luther King Jr Way South. The zip code covers around 49,000 people -- but it's unclear how many of them are not getting their mail delivered.

A black man found guilty of setting two Asian University of California Berkeley students on fire will face no jail time as part of a plea deal with a prosecutor who ran on an agenda of ending "mass incarceration."

Brandon McGlone "was found guilty of lighting UC Berkeley students on fire at a boba shop near the Cal campus in 2020 has been released from custody without prison time or probation after agreeing to participate in a diversion program for veterans," according to The Berkeley Scanner, which reviewed the court records.

But he reached a plea deal with the Alameda County District Attorney's office, which is run by Pamela Price, who "has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from the progressive billionaire George Soros," according to The Washington Free Beacon.

The two students were not the first victims of McGlone, who earlier in the day had said he "wanted to light someone on fire" and then proceeded to carry out his wishes.

He first chased one man down the street and tried to light him on fire after spraying him with WD-40. "Another man also ran from McGlone to escape being set on fire after being sprayed with a liquid while waiting in line at Taco Bell Cantina, according to testimony," the Berkeley Scanner reported.

I didn't think any of that money went to support the engineering or accounting departments for example. Also used to pay million dollar coaching salaries and upkeep of the sporting facilities. I'm think it's a break even sort of deal.

He said that working with Erol Flynn was very difficult because he was clumsy and it was hard for Basil to have to try to hide his mistakes and make him look good. On the other hand, he worked opposite Danny Kaye in "The Court Jester", and he was amazed at how quickly Kaye picked it up. Of course Danny Kaye was a very skilled dancer, and Rathbone said that being able to move like a dancer was key to being a good fencer.

I took fencing as an elective one semester. Knew nothing. Instructor was a former Olympic coach. I once managed to get in a thrust that would have been fatal in real life (thrust right through the heart). Why? Not cause I was good. Maybe the opposite: he just didn't see it coming from me, an obvious inferior who wouldn't even try it. Now, he did spend the rest of that demonstration beating me like a redheaded stepchild. But even highly skilled people can screw up, and it basically takes one screw up.

312 The Bill of Rights was a check on Federal Power - not State Power - until the end of the Civil War. The concept of Incorporation - the Federal dictating rights to the State - was invented by the Supreme Court post Civil War.

It was the 14th Amendment what done it. Two phrases which made the shift inevitable:

Section 1 contained this opener: "No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

And then Section 5 has the closer: "The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article." (note that there are NO LIMITS to congressional power there)

When those two were put together, "States Rights" died for good. Gonna need a new constitution (or none at all) to change that. But good news! That might happen sooner than you think.

I read the news accounts of King Cooper's "I'm declaring a state of emergency for education" yesterday, soon after he gave his rah-rah speech. I wasn't impressed. Rhetorical bombast with Cooper as the finger puppet with the NC Association of Educator's hand up his butt. The teacher's unions own the NC Democrat Party. Period. As for the influx of people from into the state from northern climes, well, the political system is getting more conservative, not less. NC is, and has been, a populist state. The governorship until the 70s was a one term office with no veto power. The most powerful man in NC state government was the Speaker of the General Assembly. It's still a populist state, it's the Dems that have changed.

The notion you have, that the Federal can interfere in the State, is based upon the 14th and post Civil War Reconstruction. 14 is greater than 10, and 1865 happened after 1776.

Nikes, let it go. I've got you on this. It's the same old song and dance. You've got an idea about what is "right" - and you want to enforce that. By Federal if necessary.

You want a Republic ? Then States have to be able to do as they wish. You don't want a Republic. You want a group of folks doing what you approve. That's not a Republic.
