Molson Coors Decides It Doesn't Want to Sell Beer to Men, Either; Scolds Men For Calling Its New(ish) Woke Ad Woke
An ad from April 1st suddenly went viral this week. It's a very woke ad from Tranheuser-Busch's competitor Molson Coors, claiming that women invented brewing and that also it's disgusting that men should ever be pandered to with images of women in bikinis. The ad also says "sh1t" a lot, because leftwing women curse like teamsters. They do all the things that they think men do -- just awkwardly and poorly.

These women weren't "forced" to mud wrestle; they were paid a lot of money to appear in a humorous commercial. But Molson Coors says you support sex slavery if you dispute their characterization of the ad.
Miller Lite has hit back after the brewing giant was criticized for apologizing over its history of using bikini-clad women in their adverts. Molson Coors, which owns Miller Lite, was quick to defend its latest one-minute-and-30-second advertisement with comedian Ilana Glazer -- with the tagline 'Bad $#!T to Good $#!T' The company released the campaign for Women's History Month in March, in which it bought up old marketing materials to turn them into compost, which could then be used to make fertilizer. But the footage has resurfaced and was criticized in the wake of Bud Light's disastrous campaign with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney -- and has been slammed by a senior Trump advisor. A spokesperson for Molson Coors hit back at the claims the advert was woke, telling DailyMail.com: 'This video was about two things: worm poop and saying women shouldn't be forced to mud wrestle in order to sell beer. 'Neither of these things should be remotely controversial and we hope beer drinkers can appreciate the humor (and ridiculousness) of this video from back in March.'
Notice they're not ashamed of the ad because it was a little pornographic or pushed lesbianism. No, the only problem with the ad was that it "forced" well-paid models to do modeling work. And, crucially: Because it pleased men. Men must never, ever be pleased. Cable shows now show men's dicks and asses all day long, but no women appear in the nude any more. (At least not the ones you'd want to see naked.) Because straight white men's pleasure is dirty. Straight white men must never be allowed to take pleasure in anything in life. They must be made to know that they exist solely to work, give their money to women, die young and leave a good estate behind for the family and state to divvy up.
The advert featured Glazer taking a tour of old advertisements used by the company, which included Meghan Markle, Sofia Vergara and Pamela Anderson as the face of the brand. One of the most infamous 'Cat Fight' ads saw models Tanya Ballinger and Kitana Baker wrestling in a fountain before falling into 'liquid concrete' - from the perspective of men drinking the beer and being derided by their female friends. The initial ad caused such an uproar, with more than 2,500 complaints being made, it was eventually retired. It first appeared on TV during the National Football League playoffs and made an immediate impact - with the version airing on cable showing Baker saying to Ballinger: 'Now, let's kiss.'

Instead of its typical slogan 'A Fine Pilsner Beer,' the Mary Lisle cans read: 'There's No Beer Without Women.' Glazer noted that the company had been busy buying up some of its old marketing materials online to convert them into compost for female hops farmers to grow more than 1,000 pounds of hops, which would then be sent to female brewers. These people are morons. This one is obvious. The answer is so obvious that they definitely thought of it, but lacked the courage to do it. Here's what the Molson-Coors statement *should* have been:
This humorous advertisement came out on April 1st, and was a parody of the hyper-sensitive advertising that is often seen today. This was an April Fools' Day ad. No beer brand would legitimately and sincerely want to associate their product with compost, nor would they deliberately alienate their customers. This joke clearly fell wide of the mark, and we apologize to any of our loyal customers who felt attacked or unappreciated because of it. We look forward to putting this behind us and continuing to produce great beer to our beloved customers!

Dolley and I (and our 2 friends) did a Scotch tasting with a Scotch Master a few weeks ago. Really fun. I knew the most out of the four of us, so I was able to question in ways that informed the other three and engage the master.
It's ultimately all about engaging the senses and having a good time.
I suggest just starting with bourbon (because you're in America and bourbon is generally cheaper). But a few bottles, and just learn to tell the difference between them. Do it with some friends. It's fun.

I think lack of real life experience is most of the trouble in entertainment in general. You used to have guys who had done actual jobs before getting into the business. They understood real life. The people hired today are lucky if they ever worked a fast food job. It is interesting when you watch older TV shows and movies. Yeah, they had more censorship. In part. Some of the people in these companies - at least in the advertising and HR departments - absolutely view that as the core mission.
For many of the actual powers in these companies, though, it is slightly different. This is about access to credit, underwriting, etc. It's about appeasing the demands of Woke Capital. If they want access to credit markets and whatnot, they have to get that ESG score up and keep it up. If they don't, they pay a lot more or will have to go without. That would break the business, so they comply. They push the tranny and feminist shit to keep Woke Capital happy.
Which is why the Tranhaeuser-Busch boycott is so important. They need to fear their customers more than they fear Woke Capital.

Probably true at the individual level. They don't care at all - they got theirs.
But the next guy is going to care, and these companies aren't going to vanish. And that guy is going to strongly reconsider his choices when he leaps to a new company because he doesn't want to see his company's stock value - critical to their own compensation - crushed.
It's a big game, and the big opponent is the institution rather than the man. Crush the institution. Crush the next one. Eventually, being profitable will matter again there will be real competition to Woke Capital. It might be too late at this point, but it's not the worst possible strategy. It's better than shrugging and keeping on buying. Claiming scalps is valuable as an object lesson if nothing else.

My current thinking is that Stakeholder Capitalism is a re-imaging of the goals of corporations by re-defining who the customer is. Traditionally the product is something like fizzy soda-pop, the customer is the fella that plonks down his fifty cents for a small cup of Nehi grape soda at the diner, and all the advertising is done to convince that guy to buy fizzy pop, buy Nehi grape soda in particular, convince him that it will not only taste good but will also make his life better, and maybe act as an informal brand representative to get his buddies to drink Nehi too. Stakeholdersim considers the true customer to be the investor, the manager, and the other vendors in the system of production, and the product is the consumer. The goal is to manage the customer in his purchases and his life to make sure he continues to buy, and continues to be "useful" in shelling out money and acting a brand representative, and as far as possible make it socially mandatory.

There are multiple levels of composting, and generally use bacterial, fungal, worm, black soldierfly and hoverfly maggots to break down vegetable (and other things) to compost for soil.
Which comes first depends on the material, how rich in carbon or nitrogen it is, how aereated and watered it is, and how broken down it is initially. Maple leaves break down much faster if they are shredded first, otherwise they stick together and go anaerobic, but they also act as a sealer for the bottom of a pile if you don't care about the stink.
There is also specific worm composting (I have one in the yard using a bathtub) that harvests the leachate (worm piss really) for fertilizer, and there is an anaerobic process where you put weeds into a 55 gal barrel of water and let them go anaerobic to make liquid fertilizer. You can add fish or chicken quano to make it really hot.
The better the mix and faster the process the hotter the pile is and the more it kills weed seeds.

The fact is, the left have been at this for 100 years. It's taken them this long to get the power they have now. It's also true that the Internet has sped up cultural change. So we probably won't need to wait 100 years to change things again. It might take a decade or two. But we've got to start somewhere.
Boycotts alone won't do it either. We've got to create parallel institutions too. Thankfully the same tools that accelerate change -- the Internet, mainly -- also make creating new institutions easier.

As my wife and I prepare for "retirement" (I will keep working while I can out of fear of hyperinflation), I've spent about a month of weekends a year in each of the past three years creating a spreadsheet that fully mimics federal & state income tax returns.
It allows me to model multiple scenarios to optimize and minimize our tax bill. If I can screw the Feral Government out of worthless fiat dollar, it'll all be worth it ... but I have actually managed to save thousands each year.
