The Morning Report — 5/12/23

bragghatchet.jpg

Good morning, kids. Before getting into the meat of my discourse, there are number of things that in and of themselves would get lost in the sauce, especially this morning. But when you take them in aggregate paint a picture that makes you want to scream. They're in the links but I'll put them here for the sake of convenience and to more effectively drive my point home.

House Homeland Security Committee Chair Reveals He Has Evidence of Mayorkas’ "Potential Fraud"

Republicans Signal Charging Blinken With Contempt Of Congress Over Key Afghanistan Withdrawal Memo

"Chachi" Joni Ernst: Wuhan-Affiliated Group Broke Federal Law Moments After Biden Admin Resumed Federal Funding

And then we have an entire section devoted to the Biden Crime Family and how James Comer and Chuck Grassley are making the walls finally close in on them. But wait! There's one more! And it really makes what's left of my hair hurt:

Anti-China Bill Stalls Out as Committee Chairman’s Alma Mater is Put at Risk

Beyond the fact that whatever the Republicans claim they're going to do, no matter how outraged they declare themselves to be, nothing – not one friggin' blessed thing – of any real significance in punishing these criminal fiends who hijacked the country and sending it off a cliff for fun and profit will happen. Just shut your pie-holes already. That last one, though is the killer diller. Regardless of the fact that nothing these people will do will have any real effect, venal douchebags like Frank Clark who'd rather be the Congressman from Oklahoma State U than the State of Oklahoma make you just throw up your hands.

Even if every Republican who holds office, from the local dog-catcher to Senator was the moral equivalent of George Patton, Milton Friedman and Judge Roy Bean in terms of smarts, guts and bloodthirstiness, the State holds all the cards. As Joe Stalin once quipped in response to someone saying what he's doing would anger the Pope, "How many divisions does the Pope have?"

And now that Joe STOLEN has officially let the clock run out, although for the past two years the border had already been all but erased, millions of third world peasants will flood in unchecked and unvetted with a hand out. Even if it's only a small percentage of this invading army who are actual criminals – and given what the result of having them here will do to our society and culture (what's left of it anyway) it is an invasion in every sense of the word – it's still a five-digit figure of thieves, rapists, murderers, drug- and human traffickers, to name but a few. Plus terrorists of the Religion of Peace variety.

I'm no Bowmar Brain, but let's just say it's 1%, so for every million dreamy, new natural-born conservatives crossing over the Rio Grande that would be 10,000. 10,000 not-so-dreamy hardened criminals. Even if I'm way off and it's a fraction of a percent, does that really make you feel any better? Before a Kurt or Karen can cry racism, let me throw their own words back at them regarding sealing our border and deporting at the very least the known criminals by dropping the mic with "If it saves just one life, h8tr!"

And lest we forget, this premeditated invasion has been arriving here and allowed to stay in our country, now no longer a nation but merely a land mass, for years and decades. Before Joey Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants, that number was at a minimum 30-35 million. Now do the math. I do not have the statistics in front of me but it is a fact that an alarmingly high percentage, if not the majority, of serious crimes committed in this country are committed by illegal aliens and/or foreigners who are here on visas who either overstay or were unvetted in the first place.

More math (I know you hate it). Consider the money spent not only on incarceration of these thugs but on social services, welfare, housing, education, healthcare and all the rest of it on the millions more non-criminals and this whole discussion of debts, deficits and government comes into much sharper focus. By the way, if you jump our border illegally, by definition you have already (at least in theory if not practice) broken our laws, the instant the back foot landed on our side. But "No One Is Illegal!" esse so shut your racist cakeholes.

Societal dissolution, chaos, anarchy and then a call for law and order. That's what the Cloward-Piven-driven Junta is counting on. Oh, we'll get "order" alright. Of the "New" variety, IYKKWIMAITYD.

Meanwhile, up in Nuevo York, exactly that is happening right now. I was praying for a miracle but it's pissing into a hurricane. Alvin Bragg, this Nazi collaborator Soros stooge has now charged hero citizen Daniel Penny with the crime of interfering with a derelict criminal psychopath's right to terrorize subway riders.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg will charge Daniel Penny, the former marine who neutralized Jordan Neely amid an erratic outburst, with second-degree manslaughter after protests erupted in New York City over law enforcement initially declining to charge Penny, according to reports.

As Breitbart News detailed:

Last week, a medical examiner in New York deemed the death of Jordan Neely a homicide. The incident occurred on Monday this week on the F train at the east Houston and Lafayette Street station after Neely had been allegedly throwing trash and yelling at passengers about his economic misfortunes. Neely had a history of mental issues and often frequented the station as a Michael Jackson impersonator. He also had an active warrant for his arrest for a felony assault.

Officers took Penny into custody for questioning after Neely’s death but declined to charge him with any crimes and let him walk free afterward.

However, protests erupted in New York City the day after Penny’s release from law enforcement, with many calling for him to be arrested.

“This man needs to be prosecuted cause what you will do if you do not prosecute him, in my judgment, is you will set a standard of vigilantism that we cannot tolerate,” Rev. Al Sharpton said. “The precedent alone is a threat to all of us.”

Law enforcement’s initial reluctance to charge Penny, coupled with a video of the incident surfacing on social media, led to protests at the subway station where Neely died. Some protesters reportedly climbed onto the subway tracks and chanted, “No justice, no peace,” and, “Abolish the police.”

Other protesters likened Neely’s death to George Floyd’s death, which sparked nationwide protests in 2020.

“The days of murdering us and getting away with it are fucking over. If we have to strap up and come out here and just start popping, it’s gonna happen. We’re tired of it,” one protester claimed on Friday.

“They didn’t learn after George Floyd. They didn’t fucking learn,” another protester shouted.

Bingo! What sickens me most is how these evil bastards slaughter the innocent and wear their carcasses while goose-stepping and demanding respect. The bitter irony on the highlighted raving of the rent-a-thug goon from Central Committee Casting is that everything he believes about racism in this country and all the incidents is a lie. But, useful idiot's gonna useful – as in one day whip out the jammie and flat blast the first cracka' he sees. And THAT Alving Bragg will not prosecute and call it "justifiable homicide" and "self-defense."

Al Sharpton. Please. He should've been tossed into the East River and dragged down by that sewer lid medallion ages ago, but the dioxins at the bottom protested too loudly. And the toxic waste of New York leftists, Marxists and racialists elevated him to become some sort of national leader: Duh Furor. That spelling and pronunciation.

This gem from the comments yesterday:

The essence of social justice is revenge and envy not individual justice.
Posted by: whig at May 11, 2023 08:52 PM

Truth matters not one whit. Nor reality, as this eyewitness account of what happened on the subway car indicates.

The only thing that matters is political expediency and a will to power. And that sorry asshole whose bravery, like all the other thugs and government-approved BLM and Antifa black-clad Brownshirts, is only limited by the political and legal cover afforded him by the junta better be careful what he wishes for.

If they are projecting vigilantism, then that's what they're going to get. In the middle of the night with no witnesses. I better stop before I drown myself from my mouth watering at the mere thought of it.

Shabbat shalom.

All but one: money.

If the Republicans had any honor and any balls (they have neither), they would - as TJM put it - pass the budget they want in the House, then knock off and go fishing. Let the Senate and the president pass it or not, but there will be no negotiation.

That would force matters. They continue on in contravention of the law - and pay dearly for it in the market, as US psuedo-bonds see a very real interest rate in excess of 20% - or they capitulate. Chaos or order, and known quantities across the board.

42 “This man needs to be prosecuted cause what you will do if you do not prosecute him, in my judgment, is you will set a standard of vigilantism that we cannot tolerate,” Rev. Al Sharpton said. “The precedent alone is a threat to all of us.”

Sharpton doesn't know the meaning of words. There is a difference between "vigilante" and "gang banger" and "murderer". None of this applies to Daniel Penny because he wasn't out hunting down criminals, he was stopping a violent crime by applying proportionate violence.

Even if one wanted to abuse the term "vigilante", there is a difference in that the actor is targeting known criminal menaces rather than just shooting up a birthday party or settling scores.

The closing statement: "the precedent alone is a threat to all of us." is a confession that Sharpton and his confederates know that they are criminals in need of justice and will be checking their six if caricatures of Penny are allowed to persist. Criminals seek a "safe work space" and thus eliminating police also requires eliminating citizens filling the justice vacuum.

63 The team found that Democratic candidates used fewer competence-related words in speeches delivered to mostly minority audiences than they did in speeches delivered to mostly white audiences. The difference wasn’t statistically significant in speeches by Republican candidates, though “it was harder to find speeches from Republicans delivered to minority audiences,” Dupree notes. There was no difference in Democrats’ or Republicans’ usage of words related to warmth. “It was really surprising to see that for nearly three decades, Democratic presidential candidates have been engaging in this predicted behavior.”

In other words, Democrats talk down to Black and Hispanic people, while Republicans do not.

Republicans treat their audiences of whatever race the same, and with the same basic respect for their intelligence and ability to reason.

69 More math (I know you hate it). Consider the money spent not only on incarceration of these thugs but on social services, welfare, housing, education, healthcare and all the rest of it on the millions more non-criminals and this whole discussion of debts, deficits and government comes into much sharper focus.
++++
I don't care about the money. There are more important things than money - things like our culture and national character, the values that built our nation. In fact, I advocate for spending a *lot* more money on illegal aliens. I want internment/refugee camps built near the border. *Any* illegal alien - I don't care where he is or when he jumped the border - is arrested when found and sent to one. There, he is held until processed by the special asylum courts set up there - courts with very tight and hard-to-achieve standards. His asylum claim is legitimate or it isn't. When that's adjudicated, he is either given his shiny new papers and sent back into the country or he is put on a plane and dumped somewhere deep in South America to find his way home.

That'll cost billions. So be it.

81 There is no rule of law and equal justice in blue shitholes like NYC. There is only a two-tiered system meant to protect the criminal element and punish dissent or lawful self defense. The jury pool is biased and the entire legal system including jurists is stacked with subversive cult adherents who have no interest in fairness or the actual law. It's why they are trying to obliterate the Second Amendment and punish only those who fight back.

The Left loves blood and death and Heritage Americans want to preserve what is left of the culture and country.

Apparently there is a lot of built up hostility in the urban cores by a certain demographic, if that can be shifted through simple propaganda towards the invaders from the South and stepped up ammunition production, we can achieve a Win/Win.

Of course, that is also a Lose/Lose as human life is snuffed out and the Left doesn't get their replacement population.

Until the state starts failing, vigilantism will remain in the shadows. "Shoot, shovel, shut up" will rule the day.

Complete main level remodel. Kitchen, Flooring, living room, dining room, bathroom. I am doing much of it myself. So I am saving a ton of money but doing a lot of work plus my job. (less time here) We are having a freind build the cabinets. I did pay a guy to scrape all the popcorn off and do a knockdown ceiling. Other than that I am doing painting, electrical like moving light fixtures, the flooring and the painting and redoing the toilet and hooking everything up. It was either that or move, but we love our old house. And I didn't want to start all over again on a mortgage. Being handy comes in handy. I did some guesstimating and am saving about 10K or more by doing most of it myself. It will be worth it when it's over. Just keep reminding yourself of that.

104 I have a theory about the elected officials of today. I think the represent the people of a given district or state in the manner of an advertising spokesman.

Imagine if a large corporation allowed any person to "run" for and be elected to the position of company spokesman, or in today's vernacular "spokesthing". Think of someone like Matthew McConahey in the Lincoln car commercials.

The spokesthing doesn't make company policy, they don't decide anything, but the tell the public what the company wants the public to hear.

Just so, with elected officials. The party sets the agenda, the policy, the activities. The party actually runs things, and the party wants power, or if they can't get power (like Republicans) the party wants to at least be at the table for some scraps.

So who runs the party if not elected officials? All those people who move between NGOs and government appointments such as those who moved from the Obama admin into the Clinton Foundation or left-wing think tanks and back now in the Biden admin. Somewhere in that set of people are those in charge who really set the agenda and policy, and also tell the elected spokesthings what to say.

They've invaded not only the country but our welfare system, healthcare system, school system and citizens auspices such as Social Security. Our local community has trouble feeding the growing senior population of citizens and others who are food insecure due to Democrats wrecking of the economy. I'm a time when we have some of the largest retirement of seniors, the healthcare system is being overwhelmed by people who have never paid in, don't belong here and are largely unhealthy. That's not just theft. It's insidious.

Our country spends too much already on superfluous and unnecessary things. It's demonstrably destroying our country and everything good. There isn't a single person with courage willing to focus on our priorities for the citizens of our country. This invasion is the last straw for a lot of voters.

No, I don't. The 11 million figure is oddly static. It's probably at minimum double that, probably three times.

But who cares. This is a shitty argument. Cheap lettuce and cheap labor to slap up tract housing and thin smears of asphalt are not worth it. There is more than life to money. There's culture. There's peaceable life. There's civic cohesion. There's the unity of our common language and national experience.

Even if the argument is true that we need illegal alien slaves to keep cost of living down, think about the implications of that argument. You'd rather allow slavery (or illegal indentures, which are close enough) to save a buck. You'd rather let the scourge of slavery resurge and destroy the culture in the process, all in the name of easing your pocketbook.

And people like you have the temerity to assert that *I* am the monster.

From her reports the GOP was far more evil, vindictive, threatening and harassing than any other political party. The party wanted their Made Man to continue the grift and didn't want any interlopers who might want to reform the system.

Party politics is an evil, wicked and depraved system that make the idea of a Mafia seem preferable.

NYC Felon Sentenced For Slashing Woman's Throat On Subway Platform

||Mere hours after the slashing, Hernandez went to a substance use treatment center where he allegedly grabbed the buttocks of a receptionist without consent. NYPD officers arrested him that afternoon at the Two Bridges apartment his parents live at.

Days before the slashing, Hernandez allegedly punched an acquaintance in the face outside the apartment building. After the victim’s cell phone fell out of his hand, Hernandez then took the phone and fled.

He pleaded guilty to Disorderly Conduct and Attempted Assault in the Second Degree in those cases, respectively.

Hernandez also pleaded guilty to Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree related to a February 2022 incident where he fired shots during a firefight in the Two Bridges area.||

207 Re: Penny, Matt Bracken wrote a short story series that was posted on Gates of Vienna years ago. It was about a man who announced he was going to do something offensive to Islam (this back in the Obama years when we were dealing w/a terrorist-protecting admin). In the end, the guy escaped through the assistance of a network of patriots who got him out of the country. Oddly, the Penny arrest reminded me of this - we have come to a time where there is another demographic (or two) who is so protected that we need a way to protect those who offend them, intentionally (exercising free speech) or unintentionally as was the case with the quick-acting Penny protecting fellow NYers.

A company that used to sell rugged outdoor gear, then pivoted to selling high-dollar and high-fashion outdoor gear, then pivoted to the youth market by moving down to the mass mid-tier market and selling casual clothes to teenagers and high markups, driven by fashion preferences and expanding the margin thanks to labor arbitrage?

This is a decent enough analogy for the United States, I guess.

218 Nevertheless, the Biden administration has gone all-in on the specter of default as a scare tactic to bully conservatives into caving on the issue. And while Yellen is right that the "X date" (the day the Treasury’s cash account falls to zero) will arrive in the coming weeks, that would not be catastrophic.

In fact, it’s happened plenty of times before. When the Treasury runs out of cash and isn’t allowed to borrow more, the government has typically just had a partial shutdown. That is a world different from defaulting on the debt.

Better argument for Rittenhouse than for Penny if we're talking vigilantism but in both cases, they were acting in self-defense. Yeah, Rittenhouse inserted himself into a dangerous situation (a riot), but he didn't attack until he was attacked. It was a counter-attack - a defensive move. Penny was just commuting and intervened against a threat. Neither were hunting down bad actors.

I would argue that the dangerous situation in which Rittenhouse inserted himself - riots and mayhem in Kenosha which had the potential for lethality - is the same as was the subway with the psycho.

The riots you could argue, or "protests" had time to develop and the subway was something that happened at the spur of the moment. Yes, Rittenhouse knew the danger ahead of time but does his wanting to try to prevent violence by being armed different in what Daniel Penny did by springing into action on a few minutes' notice?

Maybe legally, but to me it's splitting hairs.

But the best, in my opinion, is Carhartt. Expensive, but top-notch. And about 15 years ago when the hipsters discovered Carhartt, that company decided *not* to cater to that market. Its executives assumed they were being used in a fad and kept making the same stuff to the same standards so as to retain their *real* market after the flash in the pan burned out. They were right.

I largely agree. I think both were acting in self-defense. There is a difference, though, in that one is active dangerous environment (a riot) and the other is a routine, everyday environment (a public train). That difference in environment doesn't change the fact that both were acting in self defense, not hunting wrongdoers.

.. Castle Rock v. Gonzales, 545 U.S. 748 (2005), is a United States Supreme Court case in which the Court ruled, 7–2, that a town and its police department could not be sued under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 for failing to enforce a restraining order, which had led to the murders of a woman's three children by her estranged husband. The decision has since become infamous and condemned by several human rights groups.

I left for work without any more leaks from the toilet water line upstairs, but that was 2 hours ago. We'll see what happens on that front. In the meantime I left another soaked piece of ceiling tile on the office doorstep with a note taped to it, "[my apt. number]: FIX THE DAMN LEAK!!"

If I have any luck at all they will actually fix the leak from the upstairs apt. today so that I can enjoy my weekend. But I'm not holding my breath.

356 Because there is no plan B Because they didn't think McCarthy could pull it off. It's a circular argument.

A perfect example of how we got here, on a number of issues. For 99% of the players, there is no master plan. Just the blind execution of paradigms, with no regard for consequences. And when it doesn't work, the only response is do the same thing but more.

For a Soros ? Sure - its chaos with purpose. But for 99% of the players on all sides ? Nope - just a faithful execution of concepts decades out of date in some cases, and concepts never successfully executed yet revered in others.

I can take a deeper look into their line. I don't work anymore so I don't need slacks, but I don't like denim or khaki, they're too heavy. Currently I'm stuck using Champion wear. I try to get the plainest ones they have that don't look like track suit stuff. I wear camp shirts and polos most of the time, so shirts aren't much of a problem. I just am tired of seeing nothing but ghetto and little boy wear in the men's department.

Heh. Top-tier trolling in Florida. They're just running up the score now on the culture war front.

Limbaugh probably deserves a street name (there was a time when I would have disagreed, because I think naming major infrastructure after people should be very, very rare and reserved for heroes at least on generation dead - but that ship has long sailed), but it is probably primarily for trolling purposes. "Make winning fun" is, if I recall correctly, one of the precepts of Alinskyism. A good thing to learn.

seem to have effectively fortified much of the main illegal crossing area here in Brownsville where there was a free for all of mass crossings just days ago. Once TX resources arrived w/ razor wire & soldiers, crossings now a trickle vs a rush.

Migrants usually end up finding another area to cross once one area becomes ineffective for them, and Texas has a limited amount of resources it can deploy. So the question becomes, where may they move next - and what is the cartel/smugglers’ next move to respond?

I recall, years ago, a friend tried to have blood donated for his wife's upcoming surgery. The hospital loved the idea of donations but refused point-blank to direct those donations to her surgery, saying they "collect and pool donations, regardless" and refuse to start directing particular donations to a named recipient. Just said "no".

Probably, yes. That is why they aren't allowed to donate blood (or weren't, apparently). Not that all gay people have diseases, but the odds are so much higher. They test blood for disease anyway, but no system is perfect. Eliminating them from the pool of donors is fairly simple and highly-effective risk management.

Whether David and Seinfeld intended it or not, the show was about social norms and about the consequences of violating them. There was a story line about people reacting badly to those who did not wash their hands after using the bathroom, and I knew several people who admitted after the show aired that they indeed started washing up more diligently.

It was filled with stupid people, yes, but a carefully crafted stupidity that led to endless quotable lines and bravura performances from Richards, Alexander, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Incredible. But at least it is only a recommendation. For now. (War on AC is only right wing paranoia)

Fuck them. Sideways. With a chainsaw.

This is one of the reasons I went ahead and replaced my HVAC system this year. Stuff is available right now. Good tradesmen are available right now. I had the money. The government hasn't regulated it out of existence yet. There is no reason to expect that all four of those conditions will remain true for the next 1-3 years, which is when I would have had to do it anyway.

The cartels and the NGOs. Some of the aliens will team up with Antifa. None with BLM - opposed goals. Most of those that go hard at street war will do so with those who brought them here: the drug cartels. The three big forces are Antifa, BLM and the ethnic drug gangs like MS-13. They are not allied with each other, though they do all see normal Americans as the enemy and all three are supported by the government, with which they have common cause on this matter.

There is a strong possibility that these three groups do also fight each-other.

Women aren't funny in the stand-up sense. There are a few counter-examples, but not many. Women can be *very* funny but it is usually in another format. The conditions are different. The sitcom is a decent format for funny women.

I don't think there is much doubt. But the caravans have largely been funded by the same people who fund the NGOs who are nothing more than fronts for the globalists. And they were also a huge source of funds for BLM.

The goal is to destabilize our society and replace it with one more to their liking. Indiscriminate violence is the name of the game.

Gotta say, as a resident of Upstate NY I have no empathy or sympathy for people who continue to voluntarily reside in that misbegotten trash heap.

513 Good morning, all, and thanks, J.J.

The PA state primary is next Tuesday. The Delaware County Municipal "unofficial candidates listing" is presently 32 pages in length, covering everything from State Courts to the Municipal Primary with voting County Wide, School District, Magisterial Judge, Municipality and (sub) Wards. There's also a Special House District election.

The county was largely red for many decades, only flipping largely blue after the 2017 election of PDT. The Dems were ready, lining up 2 guys who were "outsiders" - one to run as County Council Chair & the other to "draw fire" - thus allow allowing them to also drag progressive women who had been unsuccessful in past attempts, onto the County Council. Nepotism was their hew and cry, and as the County - bordering Philly & recently REDRAWN to share some voting with - was changing demographically, it was perfectly planned.

W/the exception of State Courts, almost every seat - ALL School Boards & Municipalities - has been cross-filed, both R & D. Does it matter? Absolutely, given DIE, grifting as a career, and even abortion as a broader, future issue in state & nation.

Upon you be peace.

516 @ 506

JJ, I'm going to hazard a guess that you have some sort of effective system to protect you and yours from malign influences.

I'll also say we (Upstate) are pretty free from the political atmosphere prevailing Downstate. That of course can change, but to date those malign influences have never gotten a significant foothold, the last threat being antifa who got run right back out, thanks to somwe aroused citizens and the police.

All concerned stood up and said "Not here, assholes."

Brilliant...send them ALL to Cuba, tens of thousands, maybe several Million...THEN...hand most(keep the airport and dock facilities to send even more as needed) of The US Zone back over to Cuba, they can keep the terrorists still there as well. Many are from Venezuela, which is currently paying Cuba's operating expenses anyway.

526 "You want your slave labor don't you? From the party that is still mad we took their slaves away.
Now do cleaning toilets."
I just finished a book about Gettysburg, taken from the letters, diaries, and later in life interviews with participants and witnesses on both sides. Many/Most of the Union troops had never even seen a black person before, and when they came across one they all dropped what they were doing and mobbed them just to look. Also, many had never met a Southerner before...many/most were shocked that the southerners captured never referred to blacks as slaves, they all universally called them "Servants".
The Dem party of Today still thinks of them the same way... as they do ANYONE "Beneath Them", which is nearly everyone, but primarily, right now...Immigrants.

Posted by: birddog at May 12, 2023 11:47 AM (uAI4S)

527 Servants ARE Slaves in their minds...they make noises about living wages, better working conditions, but insist that all still "Serve", even the ones who OWN the businesses.

528 Not that I want them to stop asking the questions, but if the blood that is donated it tested for various infectious diseases, I think crying "tainted" is erroneous. I get that some people have a comfort level when it comes to some things, but you can put a disclaimer on your health chart about testing or get your family to donate.

529 Time to stop thinking about the federal government as the end game and focus on saving individual states instead. I’m not saying we abandon the fight in the federal level entirely. We should still support the best candidates and so forth. But as you so prolifically suggest, it’s currently a lost cause. So we should put most of our energies into hardening those red states willing to defy the feds. Blue states created the precedent of ignoring federal laws they don’t like with sanctuary rules, drug legalization, etc. so they won’t have a moral leg to stand on. In the meantime we need to prepare for the inevitable counter-offensive by prepping our strongest red states to be as financially and resourcefully independent as possible.
