Wednesday Morning Rant [Joe Mannix]

mannixape2.jpg

Stasification

Yesterday, "Foundation for Freedom Online" published their assessment of documents they recently acquired from the DHS through a FOIA demand. JJ covered part of this in this morning's Morning Report as well.

I think there are two major goals or conclusions to draw from this, but that one is more important than the other. The first is that it defines pretty well who the government sees as the enemy: anyone who questions the preferred policies of the government. This is not the era of Bush 43. Unlike the assertions of all the "journalists" of that era, dissent is not patriotic. Objection is dangerous. Dissent is sedition. Heterodoxy is treason. This is nothing new.

The DHS and FBI have long asserted that "domestic extremists" - which never include left-wing extremist groups like Antifa - are the greatest persistent threat to American security. Leaked documents from DHS (reported by Politico) covered this years ago. They're not drifting off-course in these new documents that focus on pro-life people, "white supremacists," "conspiracy theorists," and "anti-government extremists." The only surprising thing is that eco-terrorists remain on the list.

From the standpoint of who the government sees as its internal enemies that must be destroyed, there is nothing new here. What I find much more interesting is what this new release actually is. The new release is the transcript from an interactive video series being developed. They introduce a scenario, show a clip, and then the participant can choose what to do from a menu of available options. After the choice, there is a summary of the consequences of the choice and then the next part of the scenario plays out. This continues until the end of the scenario.

The choices all lead one direction. You can snoop on the subject using social media, you can call the subject's friends or family or authority figures, you can pump the subject for more information, etc. As the scenarios progress, the choices grow more invasive. "Do nothing" disappears as a choice, and new options like calling the sheriff enter the list. Doing nothing vanishes from the menu of options, and at no point is agreeing with the dissident presented as an option at all.

The prior work was to set the stage within the agency and other agencies to ensure that they all work on the same target: dissidents. This new thing has a different purpose: recruitment. This is designed to make people think that they must intervene to "fix" potential dissidents and bring them back into the fold or, failing that, snitch on them to remove the threat. This is exactly how the GDR operated. The Stasi wasn't big enough to spy on everyone all the time, so they recruited everyone as informal deputy agents. Everyone was a snitch, and everyone was snitched on. Your neighbor spied on you and you spied on your neighbor. The goal was to chill dissent and sow distrust among the people as well as to feed remaining dissidents into the Stasi's machinery. It resulted in a totalitarian hellscape and its effects remain an open sore on German society.

And it's stuff like this that promotes the Stasification of a country.

They still need snitches. The automation gives them a major leg up of course, but it isn't enough. The dragnet will still miss a fair amount, as the target moves around a lot. Language changes, keywords move around, etc.

Beyond the mechanical aspects of it, though, a desirable side-effect is the chilling effect and breeding distrust among the population. Those are hugely valuable effects, since it makes a person feel very alone and afraid.

From the context provided by FFO, it looks like the goal was to make it publicly available:
The FOIA files show DHS’s Office of Terrorism and Violence Prevention (“OTVTP,” now known as “CP3” using taxpayer dollars in January 2021 to screenwrite an online “Choose Your Own Adventure”-style video series to “deradicalize” friends and family.

There's no point in a "friends and family" focus if you're only going to show it to your own agents.

64 One of the biggest ways scammers accomplish their fraud is that they break up the scheme into multiple departments, each generally legitimate in its own, so that no one group knows the whole process.

Like how the Democrats have perfected the vote fraud; each group in the process are deceived. The registration folks are just registering voters not building a database of fraudulent voters; the canvassing folks are just getting out the vote, not winnowing for ballots to manufacture; the harvesting folks are just helping voters, not injection of fake ballots; the granary of harvested ballot folks are just ensuring the vote counts, not voting the ballot, etc.

And this is what is going on here-- they are priming each group to the deception that they are doing good: The German judge in the 1940's merely signing orders for the protection of the Jews, not extermination.

This is why, if anyone is going to go down, it will Biden. He will not go down for his role in the corruption and influence-peddling and acting as the COO of the syndicate, he will go down for the salacious stuff. That's safe. He's just a drug-addled whoremonger, and he's paying the price for that.

Any discussion of the corruption will be buried under the salacious noise. It might even work, if they think they have to go down that road.

The key to the entire thing is understanding that the DOJ and their bosses knew about it all before the 2018 mid-terms, sat on it then, sat on it in 2020, sat on it in 2022, and are now discussing it because it suits their purposes.

89 The choices all lead one direction.

91 The only conclusion I can draw is that blacks staff the election apparatus of the Nat Sec State. Black women to be specific. They hold the crucial jobs. And that's why they and their families are being rewarded so incommensurably with their electoral power.

Official Doctrine (which by definition cannot be opposed and must be implemented) of the Nat Sec State is that white racism and bigotry is a drain on the fighting ability of the nation.

It renders the State unable to effectively defend itself and prosecute foreign operations.

Russia cannot be broken up in preparation for the War against China until white racism and bigotry are resolved domestically.

It's one thing when leadership thinks something like this, it is a totally different thing when the idea becomes Offical Doctrine.

San Fran officials don't even understand the Death Spiral they've initiated. They probably think that after a few unhappy businesses leave, it'll be over. However, although business sites (read: theft opportunities) are decreasing, the number of thieves and demand for thievery remains constant, if not increasing. Therefore those businesses that remain will see greater and greater levels of theft until they too, are forced to leave.

This is a dynamic almost impossible to stop once it gets started.

It will be more interesting here because our grid is very different. Lots of grid operators, as opposed to one nationalized grid operator. Even with our corruption, the system is more robust.

That said, the area to watch is the TVA service area. The TVA area operates a lot more like the South African energy system than the rest of the country does. There is one major power generation outfit (that's the TVA), which is state-owned and political. Final service delivery off the trunk system is handled by local grid operators (often municipalities). This is fairly close to the SA model, and where corruption, incompetence and bad decision-making in the state-owned enterprise can have similar kinds of effects.

301 Remind, how many peace deals in the Middle East did George Bush facilitate? How many wars did he start? The Patriot Act, the law that enabled the intel community to go after Trump, who signed that? What was the illegal immigration situation under Bush? How about the economy? Trade deals? China?

Yea, Trump did far better than any president in recent memory. Even Reagan. And he actually fights the swamp which has been building for decades. Sorry he alone couldn't fix everything in 3 years but he at least identified the problem and started a war none of his predecessors did.

That's not really the question. Sure, we've had some mediocre, if not awful Republican presidents. The real question is who can do best going forward?

Trump had a very good record (IMHO), but that doesn't mean he's the best for '24.

I don't know about assassination, but I think the Uniparty is certainly pulling out all the stops to keep Trump from being elected. Bullshit legal issues to dissuade him from running, try and prevent him from running in the GOP primaries, then try and hurt his chances if he does run, and then tank him in the general if is the nominee. Then, GOP govs won't try to stop the steal in Blue metros. Many phases to the same plan.

Because what will happen when Desantis gets the nod is he'll lose the nationwide election by 40-50K, same as Trump in 2020, regardless of what the numbers are, same as Trump, and courts won't hear his cases because no standing (and judges like to have their children remain alive), and gosh darnit, he gave it a good shot, better luck in 2028 guys!

Admit your ideas and policies can't carry the day? Not.

We could ALL "know" and yet half the country will never admit it or accept changes that make elections less prone to fraud, because even that would be an admission of sorts.

You have to actually make a case for another guy though. Most of the issues with the administration were not due to the President, meaning switching the candidate won't change the results. Obamacare repeal for instance. The legislature was functionally our main issue (and the bureaucracy which practically would also need to be solved through the legislature).

Then there's the electability issue. It's hard to present a case where the Rs don't lose the 2024 Presidential. We don't have a bunch of candidates as popular as Trump was in 2020 in the first place. Maybe some that could put up 2016 numbers.

Finally and perhaps most importantly is what Trump represents to new members of the coalition. Independent of the election itself, not alienating the working class is important.

Just a hint people, it is better to push your candidate's positive qualities than crap on someone else's because you are going to need those voters for any chance at all to win in 2024.
Especially as whatever candidate you support must overcome an entrenched DC mafia, weak kneed and hostile courts allowing the left to commit Lawfare, and a rigged election system.

That does not apply to candidates themselves as being a politician means that they need to be fully vetted BEFORE the general election and genial Mr. Rogers style behavior ain't going to cut it. A candidate needs to be able to fight evil Joe Biden and his henchmen with fire breathing attacks plus the flying monkeys of the media.

I’m going with you. You think the reason Trump lost is more people voted for Biden than Trump AND that was mainly due to massive numbers of people voting against Trump.

Using the word “fair” isn’t precise because we all know politics ain’t fair. The better description is “corrupt”. The laws were changed corruptly, the ballots were distributed corruptly, the ballots were collected corruptly, the counting was done corruptly and the judicial aftermath was done corruptly in key areas around the country.

Which all leads to the conclusion that the 2020 Presidential election was illegitimate and that Biden is an illegitimate President. Perhaps you don’t agree.

Well, Salazar defused the bomb before explosion.

He used conservative social policies and innovative economic policies (Catholic tradition) to satisfy the "right" and "left".

He was more pro-private property and anti-Corporation than Fascists.

He was utterly opposed to Communists on every level.

His coalition was landed gentry and military and rural population. But he didn't treat the rurals as rubes because of his Catholicism.

Economically he opposed totally the thinking of the Chicago Boys and the US but offered a way forward with organic growth.

In effect, he used Catholicism to convert the lumpen proletariat into citizens. He offered them a future by restraining oligarchs. Much like Putin.
