Her lawyers repeatedly played this clip from Trump's deposition, in which he stands by his "grab them by the p*ssy" line.

He doesn't give the answer I assumed he would -- that he was exaggerating for effect.

He says that women really do let "stars" "grab them by the p*ssy," and have for "the last million years."

He then refuses to say that this was merely "locker-room talk."

Why does he say this? Is it because he really does do this?

I have no idea why someone would say that.

I'm guessing this New York City jury is attempting to punish Trump for his old "grab them by the p*ssy" comments, and using the pretext that "if he said that, he'd really do it" to justify their verdict.

I can see how this *could* be sensible. If you're convinced that the jury is going to do whatever the hell it wants regardless of evidence, don't bother. Give other parties nothing that they can use to go after your client in another venue, and hope that things go in a more sensible direction on appeal.

After a while that answer would start to look shifty.

I disagree on two fronts

First, Biden may be unpopular by the masses but he isn't hated. Hillary was hated. Even by leftists. Biden is seen (wrongly obviously) as a nice guy who has just lost a step or two due to age.

Second, the hatred towards Trump is so baked in to a sizable % of voters (I'd say somewhere in the low 40s% range) that no matter what, they will vote for his opponent. If it's Trump vs Hitler, they're voting Hitler.

It didn't see the light of day when it was said, and it would have remained that way if NBC didn't move heaven and earth to unearth that clip and get it leaked to the WaPo.

Not sure but I do think Musk is 100% serious in his belief that corporate media and censorship are destroying this country. They tried to destroy him.

And he has been saying for some time that Twitter is just a building block for him to build his ultimate platform that he has been referring to as the "everything app" that will be modeled on the Chinese app WeChat. A sort of one stop shop for communication, financial transaction, news, etc.. And he is building his own alternative internet of sorts.

He is a pretty smart guy so I doubt this is just a random thing no matter what his detractors say.

Oh, I wasn't thinking of real vengeance stories, which are common. I mean the common trope of like a psychopath thinking he has some connection with the hero, and killing the hero's persecutor. Like in Strangers on a Train. The hero never agreed to the "criss-cross" murders. the psycho just assumed.

BY LAW the PAC cannot be coordinating with DeSantis. I know, I know. But he is not running the campaign ad. Some people who got together and want him to be a candidate are. For someone who I hear people saying that he has no political acumen, I find it odd that people support him. He is NOT EVEN A CANDIDATE yet is in second place in polling for Republicans. Weird, huh?
