Travis Tritt Announces Boycott of All Anheuser-Busch Products

Thirsty for a nice cold Bud Woke (TM)? It's made from diverse hops and gay barley.

Will this boycott have any effect? I don't think so. The foreign-owned Anheuser-Busch has been woke for years and years, constantly weighing in on the far left side of the culture wars, and its customers seem to just keep drinking its nasty swill-water. Apparently running that clydesdales-in-the-snow commercial a couple of weeks before Christmas cancels out all of the woke marketing they do throughout the rest of the year.

But who knows, maybe this is something that will wake the sheep up.

In full disclosure, I was on a tour sponsored by Budweiser in the 90's. That was when Anheuser-Busch was American owned. A great American company that later sold out to the Europeans and became unrecognizable to the American consumer. Such a shame.

No, they knew who their customers are, or were. But like many corporations serving older, whiter, male-er customer bases, they hate their actual customers and wish to drive them away, so they can replace them with younger, more "diverse," more female and gay customers.

The comic book industry has been doing that for years. They have successfully chased out their actual customers -- unfashionably older whiter males -- but have yet to actually attract that Phantom Audience of illegal-alien Muslim trans paraplegics with Asperger's that they so crave.

Don't forget, Anheuser-Busch doesn't just make one brand of stinky swill-water, they make a kaleidoscope of stinky swill-waters:

Sort of. Those customers are bleeding off. A lot of the old mainline brands are in trouble. It happened to Victoria's Secret. It happened to Gillette (to a lesser degree). It is happening in beer big time.

The old brands like AB brands are losing customer base slowly. The kids don't drink it much. It's unfashionable and seen as being low-quality. It's the swill your grandpa drank, not what *you* want to drink.

A lot of this kind of shit is companies that are actively failing (Victoria's Secret, for example) or facing secular decline in market share (AB, for example) making an attempt to gain new market that they can't address right now - even if it means sacrificing the market they currently have.

This is "go broke, get woke."

In part. I think a lot of is desperation and bad assessment.
Problem: Our market is aging and not being replaced, restricting enterprise value.
Solution: Get a newer, younger market to replace the older, vanishing market.
Plan to achieve the solution: Go woke. The kids all like it. They push for it hard and everyone knows kids are all lefties. They say they want "corporate conscience" so we'll give it to them.

I do this wrong. Companies like Target or Proctor and Gamble or Anheuser-Busch go so far that I get completely disgusted and quit buying their stuff, but I don't join an army of SM bots proclaiming that I am boycotting until they change such and such a policy. I just silently quit being a customer. I kind of like the hard seltzer products too, but did always think it would probably be wiser to just buy flavored seltzers and add some vodka when I want a weak mixed drink. That now seems preferable to having to scan labels to see if the company is actually owned by the A-B mega corp.

Coors trots it back out every now and again for old times' sake.

For those who don't know, Zima was a Coors product that was the first in what became a tremendously huge market of "premium malt beverages." These are the non-beers like Smirnoff Ice and the like. Zima was the first big attempt at it, from the mid or late 90s IIRC.

It was not good, but that's beside the point. It had a serious image problem. Women didn't like it (they were drinking wine coolers at the time) and men who drank it were seen as sissies. Zima became something of a punchline.

It's pretty simple actually. About 20 or so years ago society started drugging children in the name of science. They started with stuff like ADD and other disorders and convinced parents the only way to deal with unruly children was to drug them and that has been going on for decades. This $hit isn't new it's just a different path they have taken. Now it's gender identity issues and we have to treat them with drugs and surgery, preferably before these unruly kids reach puberty. We have kept these kids doped up for so long is it any wonder they are now acting out violently and shooting up schools? Their brains and bodies can't deal with the drugs and all they can do now it become violent.

Yeungling's tour is well worth the time. Beer was originally stored in a cave dug out of the mountain alongside the brewery by coal miners. One of the Yeungling boys was a bomber pilot in WW2 and his flight logs are on display. The current boss is female and her husband took the Yeungling name.

I have never seen Yeungling's porter as a standalone product outside of NY and PA. I have their lager and their black & tan available locally, and it's what I buy. I don't drink a lot of beer, but I like both of those. I have since I went to college in NYS (they didn't have it in CO back then) and tried it for the first time.

I wish they stocked the porter in my market. That would be an always-buy.
