Medical Myth-teries

centaur for disease control.jpg

Have you ever read Greek mythology and thought, "you just can't make this stuff up"? But maybe they did make it up. Like the reason Chiron was "the superlative centaur" among the other centaurs (according to one version of the myth) was that his dad was a Titan who took the form of a horse while impregnating a nymph. Because, you know, horses having sex with human-form nymphs are inconspicuous.

"When Kronos' tryst with the nymphe Philyra was interrupted by Rhea, he transformed himself into a horse to escape notice and the result was this two-formed son." To escape notice.

Chiron was the half-brother of Zeus. But their body forms were very, very different because their dad was a shape-shifter who thought horses were "inconspicuous".

*

The other centaurs - the wild, violent and lustful ones - were born to a cloud transformed by Zeus into a nymph in the shape of the goddess Hera. That's a wild story, too. I can't see where the "half-horse" thing fits into this myth. But why not? Maybe Indonesia can set some wild centaurs against the globalists who are destroying their country.

*

Chiron was nurtured by Apollo and Artemis. And he, in turn, mentored many human heroes in Greek mythology. Achilles in particular. But also Jason, Hercules and Asklepios. So humans now have botany, medicine, etc.! Chiron is still remembered at medical schools. But they have now expanded their appreciation of ancient medical traditions.

Medical students at the University of Minnesota must now take an oath to "honor all Indigenous ways of healing that have been historically marginalized by Western medicine" and fight "white supremacy, colonialism, [and] the gender binary."

So maybe they can finally give up the Hippocratic Oath and invent a new, indigenous Greek "Chironic Oath" to honor instead! Images of a creature with a horse's ass re-appearing in graduation ceremonies may be appropriate. Would some people trust him more than his namesake, the CDC?

It will also be interesting to see if students learn to honor, say, traditional Chinese medicinal foods, like those at the wet markets that the CCP is trying to stamp out.

* * * * *

Speaking of wet markets, the narrative about the origin of the virus which produced the Covid 19 pandemic is changing fast! On March 9, Powerline reported on developments in the UK.

Via The Telegraph:

Matt Hancock was censored by the Cabinet Office over his concerns that the Covid-19 pandemic began with a lab leak in Wuhan, the Lockdown Files reveal.

The former health secretary was told to tone down claims in his book because the Government feared it would "cause problems" with China.

Mr Hancock wanted to say that the Chinese explanation - that the virus being discovered close to a government science lab in Wuhan was coincidental - "just doesn't fly".

But, in correspondence from late last year and leaked to the Telegraph, the Cabinet Office told him that the Government's position was that the original outbreak's location was "entirely coincidental". . .

In the U.S., like the U.K., fear of the Chinese led government to suppress the obvious explanation for the Wuhan virus, i.e., an inadvertent escape from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where research on bat viruses, including gain of function research, was under way. In this country, along with misleading pronouncements from the likes of Anthony Fauci, that suppression took the form of government agencies working through social media and tech companies to censor any discussion that deviated from the party line.

*

I wonder what has changed, leading Congress to vote with one voice to declassify information on the origins of the virus. I'm not sure I understand this smoking gun. Maybe there's a clue in J.J. Sefton's great roundup of links yesterday:

*

OH WAIT - MAYBE IT'S RACCOON DOGS

Well, now we've gone from suspecting bats and snakes to pangolins to humanized mice to raccoon dogs. Have I missed any animals? Covid 19 pandemic may have originated in raccoon dogs in China

Three years after COVID-19 brought the world to its knees, the scientific community remains bitterly divided over the origins of the virus, despite the growing consensus that it was manufactured inside the Wuhan Institute of Virology during gain-of-function research.

But a new analysis of genetic material from the infamous Wuhan wet market points to a new unlikely culprit -- the raccoon dog.

Analysis of genetic sequences collected from the market in January 2020 shows that raccoon dogs being illegally sold at the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market may have been carrying and shedding the virus at the outbreak of the pandemic, according to a wild new report in the Atlantic.

The analysis of the genetic sequences has been led by Kristian Andersen, a virologist at the Scripps Research Institute in California; Edward Holmes, an evolutionary biologist at the University of Sydney in Australia; and Michael Worobey, a virologist at the University of Arizona.

According to the Atlantic, the trio found that "several surfaces in and around one stall at the market, including a cart and a defeathering machine, produced virus-positive samples that also contained genetic material from raccoon dog."

It is the first time the finger has been pointed at the fox-like animal as a possible host of the virus -- although the researchers have expressed caution about their own findings.

racconnndoggie.jpg

Last year, Ace found a video about the prominent place of Japanese raccoon dogs in Japanese culture. One of their legendary features is that they can shape-shift, even turning into people for years. Sort of like the father of Zeus and Chiron in Greek mythology!

When you "ban" things such as plastic bags, straws, etc., it gets easier to ban things (i.e., controlling people) such as "idling" their automobiles for some arbitrary amount of time, and banning All New Sales of Gas Appliances.

What's next, you ask? The sky is literally the limit.

We aren't approaching North Korea-level of Extreme Totalitarianism, we have arrived.

37 I know the Bronze Age Greeks really liked horses. A lot. Homer mentions how cool and beautiful horses are many times. The heroic prince Pelops won a kingdom in a horse race. You get the idea. But the amount of fooling around with horses (and bulls, and a gander) that goes on in the myths makes a person wonder (and then recoil) about fetishes in the ancient times. Makes a body think Moses had it right.

Or maybe I'm thinking of something else, but that is what I recall.

111 Chiron is a minor problem for historians and histiographers. Because he intersects with people who are now acknowledged to have historically existed, yet he's clearly described as a centaur.

Some of the rationalizations are that he was actually a Sythian, who were early horse nomand/terrors of the Black Sea region, or that he was simply a very wise tutor and herbalist of renown.

Now, I'm not saying he really was half horse....but....but there are some weird ass stuff in history, like Sampson and Hercules, the Nephilim and Dinosaurs. I'm not ruling anything out, including him being literally what he's described as.

115 Here's a couple excerpts from this week in 1944 from The EZ Dog Diaries.

17 Mar 1944
Gerry sent about 16 planes over early this morning. Dropped flares over the dock and came in for the run. Hit 1 LCI and several LST’s. AA Cmdr, Gen . Bradshaw says that the attack was by their “1st team”. 4 planes shot down. Attack now set for 19th. Prior CB program set for tomorrow.

LCI = Landing Craft, Infantry
LST - Landing Ship, Tank
CB = counterbattery
The German squadrons dropping flares is their version of P.F.F. (Pathfinder Force) referenced by rhomboid last week.

Bombers came in again this morning. This time the “2d team”. They dropped flares but did not come in on the run.
¶ Went to Div Cmdr meeting this morning for last plans of attack. Saw Gen. Truscott, Corps Cmdr, for first time.
Attack called off about 1000. No reasons given. CB program to go on as planned with local attack in 5th Div sector.

Lucian Truscott had taken command of VI Corps at Anzio in February after the initial landings had stalled. My dad always referenced him highly in his diary, mentioned him a handful of times.

123 I just started watching a very strange cartoon series from 1980. Ulysses 31 is Greeks in space. In the 31st century (I think), Ulysses angers Zeus by killing the Cyclops. Zeus curses him to wander Olympus—which is either another galaxy far from Earth, or another dimension.

So far, the strangest episode is when Chronos, Lord of Time, captures his spaceship and tried to ransom him to Zeus. But all of the episodes are whacked. The latest episode I watched involves a very creepy witch who “loves children” in a very unhealthily possessive manner.

The animation is very reminiscent of some of the styles in the Heavy Metal movie. The opening and closing theme song is very, very seventies.

It’s been restored and on YouRube at least, the transfers are very high quality.

The centaurs of myth were probably the horse-riding Doric barbarians from upland Greece who weren't part of the Mycenean chariot king civilization that was the origin of the Greek Myths we learned about as children. The Myceneans, who had absorbed the remnants of Minoan civilization and thought themselves quite cultured, looked down their noses at the northern "beast-men", but probably found one of them to be a wise philosopher-general who could teach young princes how to be heroes. The Doric "centaurs" eventually toppled the Mycenean pocket kingdoms, but instead of eradicating the culture, they adapted it to their own taste, which is how the poems of Homer survived to be celebrated in Athens, Sparta, and Thebes.

I still think it was a poorly paid janitor that smuggled out a couple test animals that were used in the gain of function research. One way they "improve" the virus is to pass it through multiple species of test animals, and select for the trait they want, like transmissibility or virulence, or both.

I thing some janitor or other lackey grabbed a couple of test animals that were used and scheduled to be destroyed, but dude needed some money, so he sold them to the wet market instead. "They look fine to me!"

282 "Everyone ready for the run on the banks when they arrest Trump on Tuesday?"

Yellin is orchestrating the run on small banks. She says they will give unlimited insurance if they think a failure could cause a "contagion" (or some such). So effectively all BigBanks will get unlimited (over $250k) insurance by BigGov, but not small banks.

But small banks still have to pay the fees to insure the BigBanks. So anyone with over $250K in small banks will wisely move to big banks (already happening they say).

It is part of the grand plan to put all under central control. Same as shutting down small biz' for Covid, WalMart and tech world made out like bandits, got very rich. But the oligarchs that leveraged up and failed ... still get the (unnecessary) bailouts.

All planned imo. And yeah, what were they covering up in Bldg 7? Evil globalists are running USA (and Europe I guess).

Serious answer? The DA could offer to have him turn himself in then give him a initial appearance notice for court. Where he can turn himself in will be the question. He could allow him to do it in Palm Beach but I bet he won't, he will want Trump to come to NY. Or he could send his goon squad to bring him back, but he would need Palm Beach law enforcement to go along with that.

They'll never figure it out because they are so blinded by hatred they can't reason.
These are the people who sit in front of the television all day every day and believe everything they hear on MSNBC, CNN and The View. These are the same people who got all their boosters and remain masked.
The few of them who actually work, watch David Muir or Lester Holt and get the rundown of that day's talking points.
The idea that they'll one day be on either end of the gun has not penetrated their skull, but when that day comes, they'll easily point out the "traitors" in their neighborhood.
Or family.
