Court Orders Powerlifting USA To Permit Men to Compete Against Women

Well, it's not as if men have any advantage over women in pure physical strength or anything!

Tar, feathers, rail. Some assembly and humiliation required.

JayCee Cooper, a transgender athlete, won a discrimination case against USA Powerlifting this week after the federation banned her from competing in female events.
With Cooper's victory comes a mandate the federation "cease and desist from all unfair discriminatory practices" because of sexual orientation and gender identity.
The organization must revise its policy related to those issues within two weeks, meaning trans athletes will be able to compete in the women's category after previously being banned.

You know how conservative judges routinely issue a stay of their own judgment in major cases likely to spark an appeal...? So that their decisions don't go into effect until after an appeals court has reviewed them?

Yeah, leftwing woke judges don't roll that way. They say their rulings are in effect from the moment they file them.

Perhaps we should emulate them. They keep telling us that they are our Superiors, after all.

Cooper filed a complaint in 2019 with the Minnesota Department of Human Rights, alleging the organization violated the state's Human Rights Act by banning her and other trans athletes from competing in female competitions.
She then filed a lawsuit against USA Powerlifitng in state court in 2021.
"I was fed up with the way that I was being treated; I was fed up with the way that my community was being treated, and enough was enough," Cooper told KARE-TV.
"I feel mostly relief. I think we needed a win here, and it feels good to get that."

"The harm is in making a person pretend to be something different, the implicit message being that who they are is less than," the ruling said. "That is the very essence of separation and segregation, and it is what the MHRA prohibits."

LOL. The harm of Powerlifting USA's ban on men competing against women is that they were forcing this biological man to "pretend he's something different" -- a man, they mean -- and compete against other men!

Here the court argues that the huge advantage men have in muscle and bone density is no big deal in a powerlifting competition, because, you see... transgenders have emotional problems that more than wipe away their advantages.

[T]he court cited "increased risk of depression and suicide, lack of access to coaching and practice facilities, or other performance suppression common to transgender persons," as competitive disadvantages for transgender competitors.

USA Powerlifting has decided that men should compete against women.

Some are speaking out against this unhinged ruling, including ESPN's Sage Steel.

The decision drew ire from many across social media, including ESPN anchor Sage Steele, who noticed the news made waves at the start of Women’s History Month.
"Yes. Unfair to women," she said in response to a tweet from Twitter CEO Elon Musk. "And the irony of this decision being made during Women's History Month......

Meanwhile, stupid feminists are shocked to discover that men are really quite a bit stronger than women! They're suddenly very "nervous" about the possibility of a physical confrontation with a man. (Spit.)

This is part of the reason Woke Feminists don't mind male transgenders competing with girls: they think girls are just as strong as men, pretty much.

I knew a woman who believed this. I didn't talk to her about this, but my old friend steve_in_hb relayed the conversation to me. He was suuuuuper annoyed by it.

She insisted that women were just as strong as men, and what differences there are were attributable only to gross weight differences. But she insisted that a, say, 120 pound woman would be just as strong as a 120 pound man.

She didn't believe that men had a greater density of muscle by weight. She also insisted that whatever minor advantages men had in strength, women compensated for by being "quicker and more agile." She did not explain why women did not show this greater "quickness" in the 100 meter dash, where the women's world record is nearly a full second slower (well, like 0.89 seconds, which is an eternity in the 100) than the men's record. She seemed unaware that "quickness" arises from fast-twitch muscle fibers which men also have in greater supply than women do.

Anyway, this is a widespread dogma among women infected by feminist Stupidity, that women are just as strong as men, and if they don't seem to be as strong, it's only because they're socially conditioned to believe they're weaker. And if women just believe they're as strong as men, poof, they are.

So why shouldn't the six-foot-five Will "Lia" Thomas compete with five-foot-four girls in collegiate swimming? It's not like having an additional twenty pounds of muscle on your frame, or seven inches of arm length, or four inches of foot length, could possibly make you a stronger swimmer! Girls just need to believe they're taller, and have longer wingspans, and have larger cross-sections on their foot-paddles!

This explains the shock at women learning no, men are really much stronger, and can fend off a woman with ease, much as if they're fending off a juvenile child.

Question: Are all of these feminists gold-star lesbians or femcels? I ask because in sexual relationships, it's pretty common to get into fun little pretend tickle-fights or play-wrestling matches. Like when she wants to watch something and you won't give her the remote and she tries to fight you for it and you hold it out of her reach.

So any woman who's been in a relationship with a man or two should have realized that, typically, the men she's dated are all easily able to win any such play-fight without trying very hard. She can go all-out while he kinda just tries to not get hurt and not hurt her.

Or do these women just date only soyboy betamale noodlearm pencilneck chiselchest softdicks?

30 My wife is Japanese and when we were dating about 30 years ago she weighed around 100 pounds and I weighed around 180 pounds. She was quite fit, but I was also fit and was good wrestler in high school. Still, she thought she could "take me" if she had to. It always amused me. I couldn't explain it. I thought maybe it was because she was Japanese. The Japanese attacked the US even though we had twice their population and maybe 4 times their industrial strength.

As a USAPL member, I'm adamantly against allowing Trans competitors in a women's division

In my gym, where we have a number of top ranked women, in a number of weight classes, there is a division of opinion:

30 y/o and below are all in on tranny competitors

30-40 y/o are verrrry quiet

40 y/o + are divided, but skew towards being against tranny competitors

If they won't stand up for themselves, there's nothing I can do to help them.

Imagine spending all those hours training, only to be euchred by a tranny on meet day.

128 Back when I was studying Tae Kwon Do, my Master's daughter was a year younger than me and been studying martial arts since she could walk. She was an excellent martial artist and tournament fighter.

To get her ready for tournaments, he would have me spar with her. She was fast as lightning and had great technique. She could score points against me. This was full contact but after a point was scored, the match was temporarily stopped to award the point. Like in the Karate Kid.

But even at full power, her kicks barely hurt me, whereas I had to pull my punches and kicks or I would have really hurt her. If this were like an MMA contest, where the fight isn't stopped to award points, I would have killed her. And she was technically a much better martial artist than me. I just had much more strength and size.

Reasonable skill, higher mass/reach > lower mass/reach, very high skill.

I was 119lbs when i enlisted in the army st 18 years old. When i resigned my commission as a CW2 11 years later, i weighed 130lbs. Only reason i gained those 11 pounds was because i was on a medical profile and couldn't carry my 40lb ruck and combat gear anymore due to a complete shoulder reconstruction. Still did the combat gear and the 12 mile road march i 3 hoirs though. Leaving that damned 40lb ruck behind made that easy as hell.

GAINZZZZZ - now my plump ass weighs 210lbs and i'm down 20lbs from my record heaviest. Goal is under 200. Dieting sux moose cock. Knee is finally letting me walk again. Happy to get a single mile down, much less a 4mph 12 miler like i used to be able to do.

Some men, and almost all women have what is sometimes called a "glass jaw", where one good shot to the head and they're unconscious for a while. There may be a few women who don't have this weakness, but they are very rare.

meaning that in any full contact sport where women are allowed to be hit like men are, you're going to be carting players off on a stretcher constantly.

Most of the well known martial arts have practical baselines but aren't taught in that fashion. The most effective place to attack for instance is often the joints, which causes rather permanent harm.

Nothing wrong with the form in teaching a roundhouse kick, just in a practical situation the knee or the sides of the head are far more useful than the torso.

A few decades back I decided to take up martial arts and the closest place to me was a guy who was part chinese part filipino and he taught dirty fighting, some martial arts technique from China, knives and sticks, and wrestling BJJ. The best thing it taught you was to be desensitized to violence and reaction training. Move without thinking about it. Any way there was a girl there, she actually was on a lingerie football team - no kidding. Kinda cute, tall, taller than me and probably weighed close to my weight around 150 or so. First day she kind of eyed me up weirdly . Lot of other guys standing around watching. I had the feeling something was up. All of the sudden she takes a couple steps towards me dives and tries to tackle me. I stepped one leg back so she could not wrap up both my legs and she spent a couple of seconds trying as hard as she could to drive through my legs and put me down. I asked her what she was doing and they starting laughing at her so she stopped. It was a test, she would try to surprise the new guys and put them down. She had gotten some of them on their first day.

There's diminishing returns that are pretty steep. Think there was a youtuber some years back that beat up a pro basketball player in boxing by taking a month or so of training while the basketball player had no experience.

A month or so of irregular training as might frequently be done can give you a decent punch or kick. Years on top of that give you marginal improvement(not considering bulking up).

Expansion to more vicious techniques not generally employed though can swing things though, much like a knife would.

Skill only makes up so much difference. And if the bigger guy is even reasonably competent, the master is fucked.

Reasonable skill, higher mass/reach > lower mass/reach, very high skill.

This is mostly true. The other big thing is Suprise. If you walk around advertizing that you are a martial arts master, you aren't going to be surprising anyone. He who does not strike first, will be first struck. That said, disabling strikes are crucial, and much more easily accomplished with weapons. Which is why the best martial art, is gun fighting. Hands down.

That happened to us. Our credit rating got dinged badly because we never carried credit card debt nor had auto loans for quite some years. We called and they told us basically that we had no credit history because we hadn't had any sort of loan in over 10 years and paid our credit card off as soon as a charge showed up.

We started leaving a little on the credit card every other month or so and within a year we were back up. It's bizarre.

Guys, for example, do not think that a punch or a kick can kill someone when countless manslaughter convictions argue that is not so. Watch those videos by Steve Inman. The thing about punching someone is that if you hit them right, properly, there is a great chance they will be out of the fight quickly. The trick is landing it, and not getting hit yourself. which is why the first punch rule is a thing. Also, DISTANCE is critical, the management of space. Are you at grappling, elbow distance?, fist, or foot or ballistic distance. They have a thing called Spada y daga which is to fight with a sword and a dagger in either hand because it allows transitions for distance management.

Absolutely. If you're sitting a table and playing a game and your opponent is a cheater, there are four possible responses:
1. Keep playing by the rules and keep getting cheated with no recourse
2. Walk away from the table, so you stop getting cheated
3. Start cheating yourself, to level the playing field
4. Beat up or kill the opponent, so you stop getting cheated and he never cheats again

Of those four options, "conservatives" tend to go with option 1, which is why they rarely if ever make progress. Of the remaining options, option 4 is bad because that's a civil war. Option 2 is probably unworkable because it will likely result in option 4 anyway. Option 3 is the best course of action.

There is a reason it's the 'sweet science'. I had a chance to spar with a trained boxer after a year of boxing lessons. It was...enlightening. I did not land a clean punch and I was essentially a heavy bag for the dude.

Yes and no. You watch the INman videos and you will see wild swingers landing lucky shots. You will also see old guys, who know what to do , step inside and throw a straight punch right to the jaw and drop somebody. The first punch is critical because usually the guy isn't on guard, and its easier to hit the button. yes its a sucker punch in a sense. But that's what I mean by dirty fighting and desensitization. If you are going to hit somebody, PUT THEM DOWN AND RUN.

That's why martial arts training uses that 'horse' stance to train the legs. Which is useful in long drawn out fights as competitions are (which have tight rules causing this to be the case).

Many years ago, I studied Kung Fu. The very first thing we were taught was the "horse stance." That turns your legs into spaghetti in just 30 seconds if you are not used to it. In order to progress to the next level we had to hold it for 5 minutes straight. And to the level beyond that required 30 minutes. But mastering that simple stance was essential for strengthening the core and leg muscles required for almost every other technique.

I did say "if easy knockouts are off the table". Delivering punches as body blows just doesn't do much, especially across weight classes. There's a few other places that can be punched effectively and bringing them up for consideration would change the question of how easy it is to guard against substantially, but they're illegal so rarely trained in.

A hundred and thirty five pound girl could do the same things to him I did. Now a disclaimer, I do have 37 years of Martial arts behind me. Martial arts, at least the ones I've done, are all about understanding what the laws of physics actually mean, and that isn't at all what people think they mean. When you learn how to actually apply the laws of physics, they look and feel, like pure magic.

one other thing about surprise.

There was a actual MMA fight a couple years back where a guy landed the freakin' Karate Kick crane kick in the middle of the fight. Perfectly. Other dude was totally shocked right before he went out like a light. You do occasionally see martial arts moves in MMA fights, but its fairly rare. The things you see mostly are boxing, some karate kicking, the muy tai style head control traps with knees and a shit ton of BJJ. Its because those are the most efficient and effective techniques.

The one truly dangerous one was the guy who after you confont goes calm and kinda smiles slightly. You have to be desensitized to violence if you are an average person. You will hesitate to do grevous harm to another human. That's what good martial arts training can do - it can desensitize you to violence. It took a while for me to stop hesitating in stick knife fighting training. Taking a practice knife to somebody's throat, groin just felt weird, until it was just a reflex.

The most notable thing about every debate I watched is the people saying trannies have no advantages were always non-athletes. I think the closest I saw to an athlete was some skinny guy who said he played soccer.

474 As a man, I have to be honest. I knew I was stronger than my wife, but until I got married, I didn't realize just how by how much. We use to play racquetball - she's good. She can beat most women. But I can destroy her. . I don't just hit it harder, I'm much quicker, I have faster reactions. I can overwhelm her in a few minutes - she's working so hard just to respond, I get to place my shots and make her run even harder so she doesn't have time to think.

And that's not just about strength - stamina, reach, speed, quickness, in every category I completely outmatch her. So we have to come up with all sorts of fancy rules. I can't win on a serve. I can't win off the back wall. My shots have to be three feet above the ground. And I still beat her pretty easily.

It's not even close.
