Lead Censor of Roald Dahl Books? A "non-binary, asexual, polyamorous relationship anarchist who is on the autism spectrum"

There is a whole segment of the population which has difficulty finding employment due to mental issues. They have created permanent, high-paid employment for themselves as woke enforcement officers making life hell for the rest of us.

The editors who spent months neutering the works of famed children's author Roald Dahl were led on their mission to not offend by an individual who describes herself as a 'non-binary, asexual, polyamorous relationship anarchist who is on the autism spectrum.'
The bowdlerization of Dahl's books, which broadly included eliminating language deemed 'insensitive' and 'non-inclusive,' was done largely by a UK-based group of consultants from Inclusive Minds.
The organization is charged by their mission of making mainstream books 'represent every child.'
They do this by enlisting 'sensitivity readers' and 'inclusion ambassadors' to suggest edits to books that would scrub them of derogatory language, and harmful assumptions about race, class, creed, and so on.

In the 00s, a company called Cleanflix popped up, giving customers the right to bring their vids in, or buy vids, that were legally purchased, then edited to cut out language, sex, racial slurs, or violence.

Hollywood pummeled them with all they had, they had to fold and pop up as Vidangel online, with a new streaming platform. This during the near peak of the Weinstein years, when that monster forced a lot of gratuitous filth and extra stuff into films that wasn't originally in the script.

It's ironic that society has twisted so that the "Cleanflix" edit of a book is now an official version for sale.

My extremely intelligent, talented 18 year old cousin (second cousin? Whatever) claims that she's autistic and has Tourette's. She just suddenly started behaving as if she has Tourette's this last year.

Now, I've actually been around real, honest to god people with Tourette's Syndrome and they do not act the way she does. What she acts like is a girl who has a screwed up mother that has imposed the certainty that she has a mental disorder on the poor girl, and she's celebrated and treated special at school if she acts out.

The girl is a complete sweetheart, absolutely darling girl as they used to say, she's not a problem, she's not at all woke. But she's in that culture and this gives her a special space and even protects her: now she can say anything she wants. I see it in her eyes, she yells "fuck" in a family gathering with a little naughty gleam of having gotten away with something.

Yes and no, I think. I think they do, because of social pressure (girls are eXTREMELY vulnerable to social pressure) and how they have been raised. They have been taught since birth by schools, music, TV shows, books, counselors, peers, and even their parents in some cases to believe that masculinity is "toxic" and "dangerous" and needs to be "fixed" in boys.

Girls who never learn how to think logically and analyze what they believe and know are helpless, utterly victims to this kind of engineering. So yea, they want this, in a certain sense.

But no, they don't, because innately by their nature, women want men unless something has gone very wrong in them. And they want men to be manly.

I was watching some stupid Rom Com a while back the plot of which was the female protagonist was in a relationship with a Christian Gray type...except she was number 3 or 4 on his "pecking" order which he made quite clear to her repeatedly. And...she stuck around.

Until she ended up interacting with the local sheriff and falling in love with him instead.

And I had to laugh a bit. The sheriff was played by a reasonable good looking actor, and the job of sheriff is pretty high status as well - so he's likely still in the top 20% of men in women's eyes but the message was surprisingly on point...

Old Man's War was not terrible. He inserted an cardboard character of a bigoted red neck just so he could show off. And the central conceit of murdering old people and digitizing their brains so they could then be soliders just hand waiving the moral ethical philosophical issue was unsatisfying. Assuming they didn't die, who wouldn't want to serve in the ARMY for 30 years instead of go to Heaven. He left a lot of comedy just waiting to be used. He's a middle level intelligence at best with some imagination, but zero poetry. He'll never write anything beautiful or true.
